Logs
Have logged this as a find even though cache wasn't there. Can see where it was. There's a screw eye up underneath with a piece of approx 40kg nylon purposefully tied to it. Something was hanging on it but has been cut off. If you don't agree that we found it and it has been muggled change this log to a DNF. The Italian Job was here......! Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
All go again, have down a few times but always people fishing near the spot.

Could have been named stinker instead of sinker, very clever hide resulted in a long scramble over the rocks but I was determined as the tide was low and the day good.
Surprised a muggle which was quite entertaining and had to explain the principles of this game.
Thanks

What a creative hide! Was very impressed with this. Hope to find more caches with such creativity.

Second visit to this one. First visit found hook line but no sinker. Came back at low tide and no muggles and successfully located hook line and sinker. TFTC
All the fisherman where at the start of the wharf which was most convenient. A quick find but the rocks where a bit slippery.
When I arrived there was a muggle fishing, I waited for a bit, then a pait of tourist muggles arrived. I hung around another 10 minutes or so and then left. Just as I reached the end of the wharf they all started packing up. So i went back out and got to it, just before another lot of fishing muggles arrived.
Still a few muggles around at 9.15pm. Although we could get the cache without bein seen. Good hide. TFTC
A pleasant walk out to the end, lots of boys jumping into the water half way along the wharf but no one out the end. A few big waves made for a nice shower in the heat. TNLN Thanks.
A tricky wee appropriately named cache, pleased there were no waves today.

Saw a fellow Geocacher at the cache site. The water sprayed me a couple of times. =( TFTC!

[Green]T[/Green] [Red]F[/Red] [Blue]T[/Blue] [Purple]C[/Purple] From Terman8or and Yum9me on their oamaru trip!
Found with Termin8tor turning up at the same time and noticed another group with GPS in hand behind us
The sun was just about to go down, so not too many muggles around, but I think I was getting suspicious looks from the penguins. Also got caught by a freak wave, should have heeded the low tide warning.
Many thanks

Mr Explorer startled a baby seal 3m from gz or did it startle him. No sign of mum luckily. TFTC.
2290. The wind was really blowing but luckily it was low tide and also the area was completely deserted. This was another tricky hide that calls for some care on the finder's part.

Had a quick look for this a few weeks ago while en route to Christchurch. Obviously didn't find it but this time located it quickly. Makes a big difference when you don't have time pressure on you!
Great spot - wandered out just on sunset, and had the end of the wharf to myself. Cache was an easy find - though I was getting splashed by a few of the large breaking waves. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1240)
last time we were here, it was impossible to find it, was no problem this time, great cache!!!
Took a second look to find this cache. Sea was beautifully calm this trip. Lots of people fishing.
Nice hide from the tide. Took a while to find it, but it was fairly obvious when you looked on it with the correct perspective. Cheers Gav [2197]
Went at high tide a had a look but nothing so had a chat with the owner and went back few hours later and found it ok. TFTC.
