Well I can't say that my first canoe-powered geocaching trip went so well.
No luck.
I'm gonna have to agree with Fangsoki...I think it might be gone.
Evidence of muggle camping around, but no evidence of cache.
It's been a while since a find... might be worth a check up?

I had downloaded logs of the area in early November, and saw this one seemed a-okay (back in 2009 according to my logs). I set off and rowed the 800m or so to GZ. Getting onto the bank was an absolute mission but I finally found a suitable disembarking point.

Got onto the shore and started the hunt. Nada. The GPSr was pointing at a very likely spot - but there was no cache to be found. When I got back to the car, I was annoyed to find they had found it very recently. But it seems to have gone walkies since? I spent about 30m at GZ.. looking high and low. widening the search. Nada for me. There is evidence of a campfire recently at GZ - perhaps it was found by muggles?

A little disenchanted, I paddled back to the car. If it is there still, it is hidden well. TFTH d.d.dudes and curtdog

Set out on a paddling adventure with Team DFL for this series. We were surprised to find this cache in such good condition considering the length of time since it was last found, and some of the heavy rain and floods recently. The squadrons of mosquitoes escorted us from their premises, but not before we signed the log. TFTC.

Got a chance today to do a leisurely cruise up river during a break in the rain with Capt Sinbad(Thelostbunch)and his sturdy vessel. Peaceful and quiet at GZ and the cache was in hand at 1020hrs.

Lots of footprints and tracks at GZ with plenty of mud. The cache floated up to me from its hiding spot. Still managed to keep the feet nice and dry.
