At GZ found magnet and nothing else in sight. I'm 99% sure it's gone. Definitely needs a check. TFTH
Thanks for all the finds over the past 4 years, but I am moving away from the area at the end of the year and won't be able to maintain this cache.

Second time lucky! Found this one under the watchful eye of the restaurant owners
Very easy cache as the trees have been cut back and cache was in plain sight i have moved it from being in plain view to a spot a little more discrete about 10cm from old GZ still easy for geocaches to find but not the pesky Muggles lol
Visiting from San Francisco. The shopkeeper has trimmed the bush, so it is now an easy fetch.

Thanks for replacing the cache in plae, as this was not where it was a week ago. I suspect someone found it in the gardenbed and put it back.

1616 GAFF3 Had to go and get some assistance (from the younger son - who'd been down to Charlestown for an appointment). Took a while, but as this was THE ONE with the 3½/1 rating I wanted to grab it fill in the 'square'. Removed a few bottles from the garden while waiting for muggles to pass on by. And then, "Hey Nic, just reach there", okay a person in a wheel chair could get it I'm sure.

Ky was at a show at the Entertainment Centre today so Daz went on a short spree. On approach to GZ it was quickly apparent what was required. At first glance only the magnet was found however a second look the cache was found. After cleaning the container the magnet was reaffixed. It should be ok again now however some maintaince wouldnt go astray. Shame about the rubbish at GZ. TFTC.
Spent 5 mins looking, found a magnet. The restaraunt management said they were looking at renoving the spot where the cache is hidden. Ps if its in the most likely spot looks like you willcatch tetnis
Our 5797th overall find.
I can't believe it's been 18 months since we last looked for this one. Tonight, I just sat down and found it quick and easy! Go figure.
Thanks Pensive Travellers for the cache.

Managed to locate after GPS settled - it kept wanting to take us across the road then back again. Cap has come away from magnet. Not too difficult to access even with many muggles about.
By this time of the morning we were looking for a big breakfast (being on the go since Pprass's bus came in at 4:40am!) The pub was still serving breakfasts, but first things first - the cache.
The magnet is gone, but the cache is still in place.
Thanks, Robmc.

This was an icky one to find, especially being a local and knowing the moronic behaviour that happens with monkeys who drink uncontrollably at the pubs etc and then like to relieve themselves along the street....make sure you wash your hands and arms once replaced is my recommendation! (yes i'm a Missus:))
TFTC.
As per other logs, magnet is working however is not currently attached to canister and took a little while to locate as first attempt made at lunch time and busy with business muggles hunting food and 2nd attempt that same arvo with Mr who grabbed the cache during homeward bound muggles in road traffic.
Cheers!

I like this. Very exposed location but also very well hidden. I had 4 goes before it was clear enough for me to grab the cache.

Interesting location. Lots of rubbish around. Lots of muggles too, even at 11 pm on a Tuesday night. TFTC
Took some time to decide where we should look. Took it to a coffee bar whilst we completed log so we were not too conspicuous.
Relaced on ground touching original.
Great cache

I found a flat magnet attached to a metal item, but no cache... I'll look again on a future visit to Australia (I"m from San Francisco, CA, USA).
Found... no magnet though. Recommend searching for this one in early morning to look less conspicuous. [^]
Been watching this one for a while, being in muggle central I waited till I could come very early in the morning so I could have the place to myself. worked well and the find was made. TFTC.
Cache is still there but how much longer I don't know. I put it back near where I found it but out of the rubbish and other safety hazards for little hands.
I am a frequent visitor to this street for he eateries and the clubs, but can't believe there has been a cache here all along and i didn't even know it.
Found quickly with not to many muggles about early in the morning.
There is no magnet on the canister ,cache was just laying on the ground....I just put it back where i found it and covered it over.

Quick easy find in a garden of rubbish. Magnet is gone. Needs TLC to keep it going. SL TFTC
Attempted last night (friday) about 22:30hrs .no chance with the pub across the road pumping with muggles. Came back about lunchtime Saturday for the find. Had my arm in the bush when I heard a "have you found it?" Fellow geocacher! hahaaaa. Nice to meet you Marcus Vitruvius

Reperio at 1200. On a day of caching around Newcastle, we arrived near GZ, in which Darwinian decided to stay with the geodog for this one. Walked over to GZ, and spotted a couple of muggles sitting right at GZ...I thought at the time...'What is the chance of that'. Decided to walk by and soon realised that they were doing what I wa there to do. Turned out the muggles were Browngang, and after introductions, we chatted for a bit before it was time to head off to the next cache. Have been in Newcastle of a week now and have bumped into thrre geocachers now! Nice to meet you Browngang.
Gratias.

A cloudy day, perfect to do some caches. The first caches in 2011. We opened up the cinema for the kids in the back seat of the car and drove around. My cousin showed us all the houses she'd lived in. We found this cache quickly and went on to the next one. Greetings from Holland, TFTC!
The anti gravitional device is missing from the cache.
Replaced the cache under the J box.

I have known where this one was but have not had the optunity to get it untill today when I was working at little swallows sso snooping around GZ was easy.
filled in the log but could not replace as the magnet was missing when I found it.
Replaced under J box so it won't be mistaken for rubbish.

I don't get why people who don't like these caches do them
We came tonight as it is much quieter than we had ever seen it, enough so to be actually able to search. After a quick meal nearby we settled in to look. I felt around on the obvious item in between passing traffic and all I found was a small round magnet about the size of a 20 cent coin. Perhaps the police didn't like the cache, then again perhaps I'm blind (or my fingers are)
Thanks anyway Pensive Travellers.

I don't get why people do these caches, what is the appeal of having people try and discreetly stick their arms in bushes and feel up naked and unknown poles perturbs me. Anyway even in the rain, with two ladies sipping coffee and a large policeman who wanted to meet me after extraction was complete, all was good.

Tricky not to get spotted grabing this one. I lucked out around 7pm on a sunday night. Hardly anyone around. Bless the near gale force winds
Found at 2.00pm GAFF3. This is really a busy place – sometimes when it is really busy there is just too much going on for muggles to notice a person diving into a weird spot from time to time. With a beef kebab in hand I think we made it look fairly casual. Got a bit of a fright at one stage when I discovered a black torso near the cache – thought that I found a dead body!
Thanks Pensive Travellers.

12:30 am on a tuesday night mid winter and still too many muggles around, not to mention security. will try again, maybe 4am on a monday

On my farewell caching tour through Newcastle I visited this location, Thanks for the Cache
We found Hamilton's Heart (GC1CGRJ) on a Very Windy Bank Holiday Monday with Ruffas and Travelling Wilkos, our 21st of 46 finds and our 1313th overall find. Not kidding about the number of different eating places here.. The cache was easy to find thankgoodness as there was lots of rubbish in the headge with the cache... TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache, Pensive Travellers. Deputy D0g.

Hardest part of this one was the muggle factor, still it was quickly logged and outta there! Thanks for the cache
11:05, 22 of 48 attempted on our Bank Holiday Newscatle Cachefest. Again no parking so the other two jumped out while I found a spot a hundred metres away. By the time I returned they were filling in the log. Its pretty amazing what can be dumped in a hedge. This one had a mannequin

i've walked past this cache so many times and been completely oblivious! TFTC!

I was dubious about this one, I used to work in Hamilton and I know how busy it can be.
Thankfully today it was ok. We faked a phone call, sat down and voila! The goods were quickly in hand.

after two unsuccessful night trips i had an easy find on a quiet sunday morning, TFTC
Managed to be a tad bit sneaky the middle of Sunday afternoon by pretending to play with my phone whilst mr chippyroo did up my shoelace.
second attempt tonight and no find after pretending to fix my shoe laces for quite some time, hopefully third time will be lucky
tagged along with team bounty with no luck. the police plus security make that spot hard at any time of the day or night
very busy spot. even late at night...
Had problem with police, security, a pub manager and some locals...what an ordeal lol.

After many attempts to locate this cache without being spotted, we finally had success on Easter Sunday morning. Well done Pensive Travellers, a great hide.
Actually a little tricky. Saw it approx 3 nights ago but with the people around that night and 2 following daytime visits it would have looked very strange what I was doing id I had gone through with it - need to pick your time. First Newcastle Home Town Cache.
Thanks
Thanks
Came into Hamilton for the St. Patricks Day Festival and decided to bring the Geocaching bag. Sadly there's just one cache to be found. Just so happens it's a few metres from where the festival main stage. This was fantastic! Entertainment plus plenty of muggles but they're all interested in what was happening on stage. GPS was consistently pointing to a street sign. I was so convinced this was where to look - tunnel thinking took over and I forgot to look a little bit further away from apparent GZ. The clue was the circuit breaker - all became clear and I knew exactly where the micro was before even looking. Thanks Pensive Travellers.
Clever hide in the middle of the restaurant strip ie muggle central and we now know where to find good when visiting Newcastle.

Had a quick look for this one before heading to Nelson Bay for a sleep but with all the muggles around and the kids making all the noise in the car across the road we gave up. We will be back another day. Tftc
Sat next to the cache for a while and had to waiiit for the moment ...

I was in having a meal at the Little Swallows and checked in on this cache.
The logs were all wet and mouldy. I have replaced the log and left it in a small satchel to stop it getting wet.

At 1500 Hrs. I located the cach but with so many muggles around I decided to attack it at 2000Hrs. But there were heaps more but under the cover of darknes I managed to sign the cach.

I've been meaning to get this one for a while but thought there'd always be too many people around. Going close to midnight worked well Thank you!
Hard to look inconspicuous when attacking this one. I eventually noticed some bloke watching me from over the other side of the road. This was after I spotted the cache but before I could grab it. Waited 15 minutes for him to finish his kebab and move on.

A short walk from a lucky nearby car space and a quick find after sitting and waiting for someone while fondling the undergrowth. The cache was reinstalled in a similar manner and no-one was the wiser. I don't think a busier place exists in Newcastle. TNLN but thanks for a good hide in a difficult location.
Early in the morning and the bloke setting up the tables upstairs seemed to be paying us alot of attention, we still managed to locate and sign log book with out to muck trouble.

Had to use a bit of stealth on this one. Located the cache and walked back to the car to log it. Was much easier returning it to its hide.
Might need a new log as the one in it is wet.
