As many people have noted, some of the original child waypoints are no longer visible due to construction work related to the light rail project.
I'm no longer in the vicinity and I haven't done any geocaching for some time so this one has had its run.

I've had the coordinates for some time but hadn't done the maths. Today I had an opprtunity to be in the city and decided to try and find the final. As I'd collected th required info BEFORE changes had been made, I was reasonably confident with the final I came up with (it's my maths ability that's dodgier). Arrived at GZ, avoided the eyes of muggles and had a decent look for the cache, no matter how soggy I got. No joy. But loved the journey to this point anyway.
Despite the recent DNFs, I thought I would at least see if I could find the required information to discover where GZ is. Unfortunately, Wp1 has been changed due to the light rail construction and there are no longer any silver bollards in the vicinity. So, no chance of getting any numbers there. Wpts 2, 3 and 4 information was easily obtained. The GPO building is undergoing construction/renovation and the facade is completely covered which makes it impossible to gain any information there. Wp6 was straight forward.
As a result of my investigations today, it is obvious this cache is in need of CO maintenance to rectify the waypoint issues as well as checking to see if indeed the cache container is in position and able to be found.
This is a very good multi that highlights an important part of our early convict life. I do hope the CO performs the rerquired maintenance to keep the listing and cache active.

Maintenance required as per my Write Note log.
I note the CO has not logged on to the website since the 29th January, 2013 with their last find back in July, 2016. It doesn't look like they're playing anymore. Fingers are crossed the CO is still listening.

I’m pretty sure I was searching in the right spot, given the hint...but I’m not sure if my coords are correct as I had to rely on google street view for WP 1, which no longer has bollards. I got a bit nervous searching among empty needle packets so I gave up for today. I have messaged the CO but no answer yet....
After doing all the steps I failed at the last. Had the right spot and was even approached by the local foot patrol. All good but no find.

The first waypoint is right next to a construction zone that impeded proper counting.

Third and most thorough search tonight and still came up empty. Bedding home in the morning, so u have to log the dnf.
Really enjoyed the way points and the history.
Thanks for the fun!

An interesting walk through the city for us Camden residents. Our old etrex doesn't like being inbetween the tall buildings, so we plotted all the WPs on a street directory using Google Maps and then walked along zig zagging to other caches at times. Found all the data without too much trouble, although at one WP we initially couldn't see the installation because we were standing on it. Yes, becoming a senior has its problems. The hint was very useful as the treecover upset our etrex again. We enjoyed this cache and have given it a favourite point. TFTC
TFTC from the Kayakviking!
Had to be in city for a couple of errands and decided this was close to my walk anyway. Got the clues easy enuff. Then spent 20 mins waiting for a smoker sitting on GQ. Finally.....oops wrong spot ! GPS jumping a bit but honed in and soon CIH. Log damp but double bagged.

We were chasing the tank stream for half the day today while collecting other geocaches along the way. Was initially stumped by WP1 (there is construction going on which is actually blocking some of the bollards) and then got stumped again at WP2.. wondered whether we should count a particular emblem or not (you do). In the end, the divisibility of the numbers for the final coordinates helped us narrow things down. Got stumped again at WP5. The GPS had been majorly off for most of the day so we were trying to narrow things down by landmarks. Stared at the GPO from every angle, not seeing a date before giving up, then saw the obvious as we were walking away down Martin place (doh). Upon finally getting to GZ we were pleased that the hint matched the location which gave us more hope in our numbers and eventually after a methodical search, we finally uncovered the hide. Log book is still a little damp but not terribly so. TFTC and the history. It would be interesting to do the tour!
The family and I are down from Brisbane visiting Sydney for an extended weekend trip. While the rest of the family had a lazy morning around town before heading off to Bondi, I headed off bright and early on a chilly winter's morning to grab some more cached on my to-do list. Having spent the morning hunting caches around Pyrmont I had made my way back to the CBD to continue my adventures.
I had first attempted this cache on my last visit to Sydney around 4 and a half years ago, having solved all the information prior to my visit. Despite my best efforts I had left with a DNF, vowing to return again some day. Today I returned to a familiar area and again searched the usual spots with no luck. Reading some logs I decided to expand my search to a different location some distance away but again I came away empty handed. Returning to my initial GZ I looked only slightly further afield this time and sure enough some poking around eventually turned up the hide. Glad to finally make this into a find. TFTC

We collected the required information as we walked through the city over a number of days. Really enjoyed the different waypoints and the historical significance. Gets a Fav point.

4 weeks ago I visited the stages, for GZ was no time left. Today I found the mistake and I was able to visit the GZ.

Maths! Walked by one more time and saw an exact replica on my left hand side, after my search on the right side was fruitless. I wonder..... Yep, cache in hand, pretty much a fluke but I'll take it. That was such a great cache that was such a miserable DNF. So happy to have redeemed myself! TFTC!!!
No luck for me. GPS was spotty so checked the smaller trees first. Found a nice shooter kit. Moved a bit further out to the larger tree but no luck. Great walk though and learned a lot about Sydney. Thx.
Finally found this one on my third attempt. i had gathered the information a few weeks ago and tried to find the cahce at the time but there were a few muggles around. then i lost my info and tried to remember it all. i manged to get one number wrong which put my in a very similar location but the wrong side. i was walking around Sydney yesterday and had to go past all the way points so gathered the info again. found my error and calculated the correct gz. went for a walk at lunch today and made a very quick find. TFTC
The area smelt like a toilet and when i was poking around with a stick I found a needle so gave up. Will return when it is confirmed cache is still there.
During a nice lunch time stroll sometime ago I worked out this one. Really enjoyed the visual under the post office, what an interesting place. Mother-In-Law loves these quirky history spots so I sent her there and she also enjoyed the pipe visual and story. Anyway back to the cache, I had a few small challenges along the way with tram works, no longer working coords checker etc, but came up with a couple of coords pretty close to each other. Not long after on a lunch time jog (less obvious looking as if you need a hammy stretch) I hit the GZs and using the helpful hint eventually located the cache, took a little bit of searching, decided I’d do SL duties at a later date. So today on this grey morning quite early, perfect conditions, I made the grab and did a little cache maintenance, new bags inside and out, completed SL duties and replaced as found. TFTC bainsword, enjoyed the walk and history lesson, a fav from me. #418
Today we headed into the city, taking advantage of the cheap Sunday $2.50 per head capped Opal Card fares, to visit the Sherlock Holmes exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum. We also planned to do our 1800th cache find and also do the last waypoint of a large Multi-cache that we have been working on.
We had been slowly completing the waypoints of this Multi-cache during our frequent Sunday visits to the Sydney CBD, enjoying learning about the history of this important water source at each new waypoint visited. And our last city visit saw us complete the last of the waypoints, and so today we decided to visit the final GZ to make this cache our 1800th find.
Arrived at final GZ and, after checking in a few spots, soon uncovered the hide and had CIH. Unfortunately the protective outer plastic bag had disintegrated causing water to enter the cache container. The logbook was slightly damp as it's own plastic bag was also no longer watertight. We cleaned & dried the container, replaced the logbook's plastic bag (new ziploc bag), and replaced the outer plastic bag with a shopping bag we had with us. A better quality outer plastic bag is probably required. The logbook was signed and then everything was replaced as found.
Thanks bainsworld for the interesting tour of the Tank Stream, and for the cache.

Got several stages and ran out of time. Will finish up next time out but fun so far.
Finally!!
I've been wanting to put an smiley face over that cache for a very very long time!
Finally today I made the nice walk to collect all the required info. It was a great and informative stroll, paying attention to many details I have never looked at before.
I really enjoyed the detour at the GPO! What a great place down there
With all the date I headed to Gz and the hint was perfectly clear.
It took a while to find it, to be honest, as i poked every single corner of every tree around, and I don't know why I left the real one to the very last.
Cache log is semi-wet but still ok to sing, the container though had seen better times
Anyway, i really enjoyable cache that deserves a FP!!

Several months ago I completed the CBD walk. Very interesting. But I couldn't find the container at the solved GZ.
Today, armed with some extra info, I found it. Not easy to blend into the environment in a suit, but that is what I did to get my smiley and to celebrate geocaching's 17th birthday.

Always nice to avenge a DNF. With a bit of a hint from a previous finder we very quickly had the cache in hand. Thanks for a nice multi, enjoyed the walk and the history lesson.

#740 - Looking 4 Cache iPad App and Garmin eTrex 30
This was the only find for the day. Several weeks ago, I had an appointment with the dentist in Hunter Street and with a free afternoon, I decided to collect the information for this cache. The weather was lovely and I enjoyed this walk through the city. I even found the entry point for the Tank Stream tours which I regularly enter the ballot for, but as yet, have been unsuccessful. I was surprised that the checker (whilst it was still working) gave me the green light on the first attempt as I usually screw up the information for multis. I headed toward GZ and realised what the hint referred to but was unsuccessful after almost 30 minutes of searching. I contacted a couple of past finders but they did not respond. Fast forward today, I had another appointment in Hunter Street and so contacted another past finder. Fortunately, their advice was specific and spot-on - I had the cache in less than 30 seconds! SLTNLN. TFTC and for the well-constructed multi. I love the history component as well.

It must be 18 months or so since I first gave this one a go. I managed to locate all the waypoints then but there were a couple of points early in the piece where the answer the CO was looking for wasn't altogether clear ... at least to my way of thinking. That said, I came up with some coords that made sense but when I went there, I wasn't able to locate the cache ... which wasn't surprising since they didn't get a tick from evince. Later, at home, however, I played around with the calculations a little and eventually, I was able to come up with a set of coords (in much the same area, I might add, as I had been looking) that evince was happy with.
I don't get to Sydney too often these days so it's taken a while to get back to GZ, but an impromptu trip to the city today gave me the perfect opportunity to finally knock this one over. And it didn't take too long to do so! After first checking where I had looked last time (a place that perfectly matches the hint), I extended the search area out a little and with help from a handy natural tool I found nearby, I was quickly able to uncover the hide. I happily added my name to the list of those who have located the source of the Tank Stream, and also liberated a TB from within the cache, which is in pretty good condition.
This is a really good multi, and I enjoyed the challenge and the history lesson it provided very much ... and therefore gets added to my list of favourites.

This cache was a real challenge, raining and the cords were all over the place but managed to find the waypoints and solved the puzzle. Muggles around but found the cache. TFTC
What an interesting journey through Sydney. Took us a while through the rain. Finally arrived at GZ and took us a while to find the goods. Clever cache. Thanks bainsworld. Picked up TB and left another.
This was a very interesting and challenging cache with rain and wind squalls making our progress hard. We finally got the coords for the cache and checked them and then spent 15mins searching,,, Finally success. Wow. a great cache.. TFTC
Took the ferry to Circular Quay where I met Ulmy1 and we continued on with the waypoints. For the first few we weren't sure what we were looking for but soon realised all installations were the same. After the final we had some lunch and worked out the cache coords. With the help of oldmorty we made the find. Log is damp but rest of cache is dry. Thanks for the history and walk across the city! Tftc!
One Sunday morning in November last year, oldmorty and I thought we'd walk the stages of the Tank Stream. It was a lovely day and we had a lovely walk. After locating GZ we spent ages searching but left empty handed. Another search the following Sunday resulted in oldmorty logging a DNF. One last try - same result. We'll, you can't win all the time.
Oldmorty contacted the CO. Following his response we realised that the cache was no longer in its original location. We thought it must be lost. Oldmorty put a watch on the cache. We could not believe it, lega4 found the cache. Oldmorty contacted lega4 for help. Thank you lega4. We can now sleep comfortably.

After spending the morning on the Captain Cook Cruise Breakfast Buffet with Nurreg we allocated the rest of the day to find some caches. This one was a lot of fun to learn about. We started the wrong end - we went to the coords listed thinking it was waypoint 1 - doh! So we ended up doing it backwards. At the end we stopped for a cool drink and a sit down to work out final coords at The Ship Inn. The Ship Inn holds a place in my heart as it is where my parents met 30+ years ago (they worked at the Telecom exchange) and mum thought my dad was a gentleman as he held the door open for her, but he then proceeded to skull a lot of beers - l think thats the story anyway! Anyway, back to the cache - we realised GZ was closer to the "last" waypoint (the correct last waypoint lol) so we decided to do some other caches in between on the walk.
I uncovered GZ and at first l thought it was rubbish (due to the plastic bag its wrapped in) and almost dismissed it - however l decided to risk it, picked it up and YES! Its the cache! I took the brownie sneaker TB and Nurreg took the other TB. Log signed and replaced as found. Cache smells a bit =(

After several attempts and some help from the CO I'm glad to finally get a smiley face for this one. TFTC bainsworld.
Found, coordinates are 5m off, but place is pretty easy. Container was wet, added plastic bag. And there is no pencil inside, please add.
Two weeks ago frazeydaze and I spent an early Sunday morning following the Tank Stream up town collecting the clues. After working out where GZ over a coffee we headed off to start the search, however, after an hours searching and with the emergence of muggles we called it quits for the day. After re-reading the logs, it was back to GZ very early this morning to dig among the ivy and monsteras but once again we were unsuccesful and gave up as we were a bit embarassed walking around the garden bed with a constant stream of muggles. Thanks for the cache bainsworld, just sorry we couldn't find it.
Picked up the clues on our walk back from listening in to Crowded House's concert...we are paying to see them on two other nights as well so it's ok. The city was so busy despite it being a school night! We dodged the drunks and revellers and enjoyed soaking up the history (no pun intended) of the tank stream that was so crucial to the success of the early days of the colony. Couldn't get a green light from the checker but the co-ords looked very plausible. Headed out this morning to look at our GZ and after widening our area by a few metres Mrs. O. made the find under some natural camo. TFTC, loved it!
Enjoyed the walk but no luck at GZ. Had a fairly good look before the thunderstorm hit but then had to give up.
I actually found this cache a little interesting even though I normally don't find anything interesting about the invasion of this land and would personally preferred if all the first fleet had slow and painful deaths.
I wonder if any water from this once probable beautiful stream would not burn your insides out. After the 90 minutes of walking the cache was soon in hand.

Frustrating DNF nr. 2 today.
I had convinced ravestorm to search this one together, knowing that it would visit some shopping streets of Sydney . Ravestorm understood my secret plan immediately but as a multi addict he agreed immediately.
We collected all the info, especially WP5 was interesting, we followed the instructions and went downstairs, read the info panels and saw the channel.
Surprisingly to us the Geochecker wouldn't make congratulations to us. We have NO idea where we counted wrong because all the questions seemed clear to us.
At our approximate coordinates we still found 2 objects that fitted the hint as well as the photos in the gallery. For half an hour we searched EVERYTHING in that area but no cache to be seen. That makes us very sad because we liked the multi and put a lot of effort into this one

Got it this time. Had a DNF on this two years ago. After searching the same spots I could remember last time with no luck I widened the zone a bit and hooray. Great Multi really pleased to find it this time to expunge the sad blue face to history. Cheers and TFTC
My GeoSister, Tdimdad and I collected the answers to the WPs during the day and after the parade tonight we grabbed it.
When we neared GZ I realised that this might involve some stealth as stealth is not my strong suit so Tdimdad did the grab.
TFTC, we saw quite a lot on our walk.

So we came here to do this multi cache, very nice.

During the week there is not enough time during lunch to do the many caches in CBD, not to mention all the office workers strolling around as well making it difficult to search for the caches.
So this Saturday afternoon I took the train to Wynyard to clean up my cache map for this part of town.
After picking up traditionals between Bangaroo and Circular Quay, followed by a few multis. I also started following the Tank Stream upstream. Too bad the underground bit of the Tank Steam is normally closed to public. There is an open day coming up first weekend of November, but unfortunately the tour in the cavern of Sydney was already sold out so all I had to go by was this multi cache.
I know I got one of the answers wrong, but once near GZ it was pretty obvious how to interpret the hint. After searching and poking around the box was found.
Thanks for the educational cache.

We really enjoyed the waypoints for this multi and learning about the Tank Stream. We found S1a bit difficult to decipher and, as a result could not get the checker to turn green. We decided to wing it and head to the area anyway to see how we would go. Initially I found something that fit the hint but not the photos. Then I noticed another and it seemed a more likely area. I poked around for a while and luckily came up with the cache. Hooray. There was no TB inside. Thanks bainsworld.
found at 05.10 am 28th of 30 caches found in just over 6 hours found with gm03 and u_c
Nice multi with interesting waypoints - I have learned a lot and really enjoyed the morning walk starting at Circular Quay. Cache was found easily - log is quite damp though. TFTC
Very interesting multi. We think we found a gz matching the hint near the coords we had calculated, but it looked a bit used so we didn't fancy an extensive search. Will contact the co for confirmation.

This is a great cache which took me to many places I had never been, even as a local. Coords for GZ solved over a year ago but has taken some time to get back to find. After about 30 min searching cache is in hand.

I am visiting Sydney to take part in the City2Surf and staying down the road. I saw this multi a couple of weeks ago and loved the idea of walking along the old Tank Stream route. I talked my muggle mates in to doing the cache with me with the idea that we would end up at Circular Quay for some lunch and a look around. I really enjoyed the walk downtown (I did the WPs in reverse) picking up the clues and enjoying the sites. We enjoyed a great fish and chips lunch at CQ and a wander around. Picked up the cache on the return journey. Dropped off a TB I picked up at Geowoodstock that really wanted to travel to Sydney. Beaut cache - will get a FP from me when I have one to give!
I had made some geocaching plans for today, but as the weather did not look promising I decided to visit some caches in the City.
When I looked outside I decided to take my rain coat with me. This was a good decision. It rained several time during my walk and a raincoat is much more convenient than an umbrella.
I visited the waypoints about 6 month's a go just after arriving in Sydney.
I thought I had found all the answers but the checker was unwilling and did not want to turn green.
I decided to send an email to the co and asked him to indicate which of my answers were wrong.
But I did not get an answer so I decided to put the cache aside.
Last week when I joined another geocacher for some caches I got a hint for this cache. Using my calculated location and the hint I decided to search for it. My location was about 20 meter off but using the hint I was able to find the cache.
Thanks for this nice multi which took me some unknown places in Sydney.

Went to town a few weeks ago and collected all the info at the WPs, solved GZ, got the nod from Evince, but all out of time, so saved GZ for another day. Well today was the day and it was a quick and easy find so I did not have to vent my frustrations; and I do care about the Figs, especially those around Moore Park, as well as those in Sydney's many beautiful parks. TFTC bainsworld
So... turns out the cache coordinates aren't part of the stops needed for the cache. Also. We did the cache in reverse. Never mind. Good excuse for some nice lunch! Energy rejuvenated, and evince unhappy as ever, we ploughed onto GZ. We spotted a location that matched the hint (thank you for the hint soooo much) but no cache! Then misspalot saw something in the photos of a past log that gave her an idea. Based on that we found ANOTHER spot that matched the hint and BINGO! Happy dance people!
This cache was the main prize today, or at least my primary caching aim for coming to the city. We had previously discussed the Tank Stream (not the cache but the actual stream) with runaroundtheworld without knowledge of this cache so it was such a privilege to assemble the rassilon256 and misspalot to do this cache together.
Thanks for the cache

We started this multi backwards (or down stream?) which in hindsight worked for us as we picked up other multis along the way. At wp4, we got distracted at daiso - the 2.80 Japanese junk store - buying up junk food By the time we reached wp1 (or our final point) our solution did not check out with evince! Mulled over it some more during lunch before having a go at the presumed GZ. Ran into some Pokemon Go players, that game is becoming a good disguise for geocachers in highly populated spots! The hint was helpful but a previous photo proved even more so as we were able to determine other surrounding vegetation at GZ. Not long after raindoctor had CIH.
Thank you for this multi, I can see why this one is so popular, learned a bit more about this city I call home - always a plus

The main multi of our day took us to quite a few interesting places. Monuments, restaurants, art installations, and Daiso... There was some agony over the results, but careful checking of all the details followed by a good lunch gave our puzzle-solvers confidence to move to the projected coordinates.
Although the coordinates were indeed wrong, they were close enough that some detective work in previous logs and photos had us looking for just the right shaped... thing. Unfortunately I got distracted by the large white strelitzias (one of many magnificent plants in the park), and someone else made the find.
We had at various times earlier in the day discussed the emergence of Pokémon Go and its potential effects on cachers. And this afternoon we finally got the question: "Hey, are you searching for a kingler too?". raindoctor very kindly explained what we were doing, and I was left wondering what a kingler would be doing there anyway.

Thanks to all the niggles playing Pokemon Go here. I went totally unnoticed. Someone actually asked me if I was "trying to catch after Kingler too bro?" Awesome cache!! My Fav so far. Even tops the one I found by accident when bushwalking before I became a geo nerd.
This was lot of fun and educational too. Lots of muggles at the final cache location, so I pulled out my camera and pretended to take photos of the birds. Tftc.
out geocaching with Tdimdad and Bryzee . Had a great time finding this cache TFTC
Out for a day doing multis in the CBD area with Little Roo and Bryzee, we came around to do this one, too.
This cache became the main feature of the day. We had done a few other caches on our way towards this. Then opened the cache in the smartiephone app and got a trail of WP's neatly laid out on a map. Oh well, this might take a while and there seems to be few other caches along the way, so let's run things in parallel.
We went to the start point but didn't find anything useful there. But perhaps this can be resolved along the way. Hopefully. At least we'll give it a go. But important business first: before we hit the nearest WP, ventured into the nearby shopping heaven to visit a lolly shop a friend had recommended. And it sure was worth the detour! After enjoying few sweets we were well equipped to step out to the chilly weather and continue our trip.
All the WP's were found with ease. WP5 caused some discussion but we landed on an agreement of the numbers. Similarly, at WP1 it took a minute to locate ourselves and another minute to realise what we actually should find there. And what's that relative measure of 'immediate vicinity' in this case. This side of the street, both sides, less, more, or all of the above?
Having collected all the required data, we met Ms Maddy who was in town for a tourist trip and retreated into a coffee shop. Hot drink each and a little snack later we had the potential final GZ figured out and mapped out. Looked like we were heading to another iconic part of the city.
The sun had already set when we approached the final. We scoured through what we thought might be the hide but came up with nothing. Widened the search area without luck. Time to use the checker - and, oh no, red light on it.
Perhaps some of our data needs to be rechecked. Bryzee and myself went through them bit by bit but they seemed to hold. Changed WP5 numbers but that didn't look really promising and Mr Google also told stories that matched with our original numbers.
PAF is a magic thing. Bryzee did one, I did one and got very good hints on where to go. This negated the need for the compass and we went by looking for certain features. Found them eventually, followed the clues given, and few minutes later the container was out in the open. Wonderful, as it would have been a real pity not to find it after spending quite some time - and few very yummy lollies - on the trail for this.
Log signed by all, container returned back, and it was time to head towards a nice little dinner in Chinatown. All good here. TFTC and a nice walk around the city, Bainsworld!

Little Roo and I were down from the Central Coast doing a bit of caching with Tdimdad and Ms Maddy. This cache had us trekking all over the city today. I don't think there are many people that would take notice of these words that lay inscribed on the ground "Into the head of the cove, on which our establishment is fixed, runs a small stream of fresh water, which serves to divide the adjacent country to a little distance, in the direction of north and south." but they sure meant a lot to us.
This was a fun adventure this Multi actually took us passed several other multis and some traditional caches as well but this was was our main course.
We seemed to do what some others had done and work this one in reverse once we had all information from each of the way points we thought we had a solid GZ we didn't even bother with the checker....that is until we made our way to GZ and began our search. We had a seat and did a recalculation but some how something did not add up.
After a PAF hint we continued out search in the dark and turned up with the cache at last this made for a fantastic end to our days adventure.
**Congratulations to Ms Maddy on her 3300 cache find!!**

We really enjoyed this multi but realised we were going wrong while at wp3. Decided to continue and the rest were more straight forward. A tour sounded yucky but the museum under the gpo was excellent. After the final wp we Made a guess but didn't get through the geo checker. Realised we had a math error so had lunch until we could try again. Still stuck but reading prior logs and knowing how inaccurate the GPS can be in the city we thought we'd have a go. Storm damage was being cleared close to GZ but we didn't attract much notice. A fav for us. NINO TFTC
Interesting waypoints and numbers stacked up perfectly. Phone went flat just before GZ so after short hunt headed to Starbucks for a recharge and read old logs to refine the hunt. Turned out was one specimen too far, and a quick fine on return.
Found with quinella - I enjoyed Starbucks rather than poking around to be honest !! Tftc
10835. Found during a work visit to Sydney.
With a few hours up my sleeve after work today I headed out with a number of caches in mind. This was the first one, and it has long been on my list to do during a visit. I followed another finders advice and went backwards as it was convenient to where I started and where I had to be at a certain time. Found the WPs fairly easily which was great considering the way the GPS behaves in the City. Gathered the required info and I wasn't really surprised where my GZ put me. I was happy that there were breaks in the muggles to conduct a quick search and the cache was revealed ! Awesome ! Signed the log, replaced the cache, and I headed off to the next one.
Thanks bainsworld !! Happy to tick that one off.

In Sydney this week for a work conference, and after a long day I just wanted to get outside and walk a little bit. Not having been to the Sydney CBD for a long long time, I thought it would be nice to check out the trail of this the Tank Stream - somewhat of a history buff I am familiar with it's importance to the early Sydney town residents, and am excited to see such being celebrated with a geocache. Well done.
I walked the waypoints in reverse since I was staying pretty near the posted coords, collected clues and then did some math, which highlighted that I was clearly mistaken with at least one of them. By now I had returned to a coffee shop back towards the posted coords, but assuming I had miscounted at wp1 I took a guess on finals and headed there to look see. 2nd spot I checked felt like plastic I love it when a plan comes together. It was rather late, so this was my cache for this day - and a great little multi. Muchos enjoyos.
Thanks for placing this cache, bainsworld. Found in good condition.

There is a leap day once every four years so we wanted to celebrate that together with other catchers.
We have visited all up 6 events in Sydney. Meet the swedish, Sydney CBD, Strawberty Hills Forever, leaping over Sydney Barangaroo and of course our own event in Dural.
We have of course also looked for this cache.
Er have finished the day at 8pm with our own event in Dural.
Thank you

After a good solid run of about five DNFs over 14-odd months cacher Rheneas graciously assisted me in striking this one off the list following a nearby event.
Loved the challenge and that I got out of the office over a few lunch hours to do it!

After a long flight from London I thought I'd go stretch my legs. Have seen most of Sydney before but this was something new and interesting.
Found GZ but no luck with the cache having wandered through the fauna.
The area seems to be housing some homeless so I don't know if it might have been muggled?
TFTC albeit never found.

The things you walk over in Sydney and not even notice. Really enjoyed this one. We attempted this 2 weeks again but had something wrong. Second try and found our mistake. Success.thankyou for the history lesson. Found with kazzacosmo on the 21st December.
I took a really nice walk with Dr. Berndie through Sydney. thank you for the nice multi, we had a good time in Sydney and enjoyed the wonderful weather and very friendly people everywhere. thank you for hiding. TFTC # 2289

Worked out the clues one day and had to come back later. This time nothing going on so had quick find after looking at previous logs. Found with Happy Jackie. Thanks, enjoyed it.
Here comes the copy paste log:
13 night cruise on Royal Caribbeans' Voyager of the Seas.
Stopping in at Mystery Islands, Isle of Pines, Noumea, Bay of Islands and Auckland.
Found at least 1 cache on each of the stops - great holiday spent!
---End of Copy/Paste Section---
Spent the night before the cruise in a Sydney hotel. I dropped my gear and went to tick off the cluster of multi's in the CBD - I made good progress with all, with 3+ found and 2-4 with outstanding DNF's/Maintenance posts
Was not a planned grab, but the sun was still setting & I was still wide awake.
Took a leisurely stroll to grab the info - admittedly thought it would be a lot more difficult, but it wasn't
Found after "mulling around on my phone" kicking up tree debris

Picked up all the required info on a walk through the city yesterday, so I only needed to pick up the final cache today. Barked around the wrong tree initially, but after I changed perspective, I literally stumbled on the cache. Thanks for the historical tour and the cache!
We're in Sydney from the Northern Tablelands to visit family and to go to the ballet at the Opera House. Chose this cache when Geopartner said that she wanted to go shopping in Pitt Street and that we'd meet up again in 90 minutes.
Had a very pleasant stroll checking out the waypoints in reverse order toward Circular Quay. Worked out the coordinates and plugged them into the on-line checking thing. It nearly always tells me that I've got it wrong but I was fairly certain that the final destination was correct - more or less - so I ignored the advice. A last gasp try gave me the thumbs up; it's possible that there's a mismatch between that website and my HTC phone.
Set off for GZ and after scratching around like an old chook, soon had the cache in hand. Little Jimmy, who is travelling with me, was very excited.
The log book is a little damp but otherwise serviceable. Thanks for the cache, bainsworld, it was great fun and I learned a lot.

While spending 16 months abroad, travelling through all states of Australia and also having a two months break in Thailand I did a lot of geocaching.
After many, many caches accompanied by the strong will not to write any standard logs, I ended up with more than 1000 finds, all waiting for an official log. After intense considerations and carefully weighing my options, you now receive this special limited edition numbered log.
This is my unique non-standard log #59.
Found it on the second try with smirkwood

A fantastic journey comes to an end with happy faces! We'd started the walk last week, but by the time all the clues were collected (along with other caches and multis), the sun was starting to set, and peak hour was rolling in. We decided to call it quits for the day.
However, upon checking the coordinates at home, we were meant with a very startling "Sorry!", and trying to account for the mistake(s) we made, we ended up being locked out of evince. We desperately reached out for help (thanks!), and our mistake was uncovered. How did we do that?! Although, I think a certain someone may have been guilty of that seven years ago...
Today, with a spare afternoon, we headed to the GZ hoping to make a find. We were led to a spot that indeed matched the hint, but even with a PAF, we weren't able to find the cache. Leaving disappointedly, we thought, "what about over here?" before we left, and we did pull out the cache! Not sure if this was the original hiding spot, as it is a bit exposed, but out of sight. The tree cover also reeks havoc with the signal.
Unfortunately the log book is soaked, and the bag in which the cache was inside isn't big enough to protect it. We didn't have anything on us to do any repairs, so hopefully the next searchers can. We may return to do some fixing if possible.
Thanks for a wonderful journey and the very intriguing history. Hopefully the ballot draws us for the tour this year! Definitely worthy of a favourite point. TFTC, bainsworld!

I love getting these glimpses of what a city was like before everything got paved over. Did the stages in reverse order yesterday while picking up a bunch of other caches between Central and Circular Quay, then came back today for the final. Found the location described by the clue, but the cache was one spot over from the obvious one. Tftc!
Despite knowing I was in the right spot, from the hintI couldn't turn up the goods today. I will check again next time I'm down from the mountains.
