On our epic CANZ trip around the South Island. Have found Marlborough, Nelson, Tasman, West Coast and Canterbury, now heading south to Oamaru for a conference and then on to find Otago and Southland.
Today was a easy day with no pressure so we quietly geocached our way from Timaru to Oamaru, but as we were finding caches live with the iPhone it was bit difficult as cell coverage was patchy.
Mr S found this one, not where it should be. Looks like it might have been muggled. Log still in place so signed and replaced where we thought it should be. Hopefully in the right place. lol.
Thanks waitaki999. Another smilie on our SI map.

got this one ages ago, just didn't realise it had not been logged. cheers for this one.
First day of two days trip from Christchurch to Invercargill via Cromwell. Cache 11 of 72 today. This is part of my challenge to find as many 'minutes' for a 400-minute challenge cache, with most caches being straightforward finds. Signed a wet log. Thanks for the cache.
Yeehaa we found the cache but the log book is all wet and soggy could someone please replace it. Thanks
Quick find on my way to waimo for a days caching. Couldn't sign log saturated needs some tlc tftc
Quick find , no-one around. Log sodden, needs replacing. Tftc

No problem with which tree to investigate. just that I had to make a dash between cars and school activities. Sadly, water has got into the cache.
Found with Chosen1978 on way north. Couldn't get any fries today so just got the cache.
Quick find as we made our way north and inland with Granville86a, tuning out to be a nice day TFTC
Good find on our trip to this region, stayed at the Hotel which had excellent accommodation.
Log book was wet but able to write in.

fries have been made in this town for over 30 yrs. A simple find. Thank you for the stop.
Thank you for the cache. We were with my wife on long trip around south east Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The caches showed us so many nice places.
A very wet spot, but the find was OK. Amazing that it had lasted with the school so close. Thank you.
Spent the day geocaching on the drive from Christchurch to Dunedin. Resulted in 156 finds. Quick find. Signed log. TFTC!
A quick stop for a sandwich and cache.
Sorry for the late log. This is one of many founds during my four week visit to NZ.
The date here may differ from the one in the log book, both could be a day off from actual log date.

I had decided to go down to Dunedin some weekend, visit mum, and ofcourse, the plan was to find heaps of caches along the way!!
And with an event in Dunedin this weekend, that was just the kick I needed! So I left work early, and started making my way south.
Had a bit of a laugh when I realised that my mum had been the second to last person to find this cache!!
I drove right on up to it, and parked right there too! Noone around!!
It was then a nice and easy find, and I was back in the car faster than fast!
TFTC!!

Finally got around to finding this one. Made it with 5 minutes to spare before school children were let out. TFTC
picked this one to stop for a leg stretch for no particular reason and I was glad I did - just as I signed the log, I noticed that the sunrise will be amazing, so drove further towards the sea just in time to see the round ball of fire separating from the sea on the horizon. Then had a chat to a woman who works at a local dairy farm and shares my enthusiasm for early mornings TFTC!!
Hall looks a bit run down. Mother beat the teen to this one. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
We had found and signed the log when some muggles started to come to see what we were up to. TFTC
Selectively caching our way from Dunedin to Christchurch today to catch a plane home to OZ at 0600 in the morning. Total for today 23 for a total of 204 for our 16 day caching adventure on the South Island.
Arrived at hall and soon was at GZ and had container in hand. All is ok with this one. TFTC.

Day 10 of our campervan tour of New Zealand with Angel, Teachermom and Hynr. Today we started near Oamaru and ended at a holiday park in Rakaia. We had a great time and saw lots of beautiful sights.
Thanks waitaki999 for hiding this cache.

Traveling as Team Spinner in our campervan after attending the Mega Event in Dunedin. At this point we are heading back north. Thanks for placing this cache; it was a nice stop for us. TFTC
This cache was part of Sully1's and my last day in NZ while we travelled from Oamaru to Christchurch for the flight home. What a great range of hides and containers we found on our all too brief stay.
Thanks again waitiki999, quick find
Thanks again waitiki999, quick find
Our last day in NZ enroute to the Airport, and we were still picking them up. I must admit, I'm a little "cached out" this week, and will certainly be having a few days off. Nevertleless, this one was found and logged by bogonghazy and myself this morning before we flew home to Oz. Thanks to the CO for the placement of this cache, and for bringing us here.
Reperio at 0815.
This was another of the many stops between Timaru and Dunedin today on our way to the mega, and upon arriving to this lovely little township, I think we kept saying it's name numerous times...purely because it was fun to say! We would have liked to have stayed longer but there were too many caches to find today.

#13 for the day on GeoJump's trip to the Mega. We caught up to our Aussie friends that we have been playing cache leapfrog with. They had just pulled the cache out of it's hiding place when we arrived. Really, really wet so MacPacMum provided new logbook & baggie.
Found with troobloo and Bushbaby 321. On our way to the NZ MEGA. SL Left some PT's along the way. SL T4TC

488 and 16/55 for the day
The GeoJuMP team were heading south for the NZ Mega but this was near the driver reviver stop so we decided to combine both. Purdiepurdie did a circuit of the area looking for a place to park as she didn't want to tear up the grass. We headed over to GZ and found the cache and then went and had a coffee. The lady noticed we had walked over the road and pointed out we could have used their toilets if we had asked lol.... we didn't enlighten her, just laughed
We also caught up with the Australian cachers we had met earlier in the day. TFTC

Day two of the trek south to the NZ Mega.
After one night in Christchurch, it was time to tackle the Thompsons Track and then onto Oamaru for night two. After picking up nearly 100 caches for the day it was time to head to our accommodation in Oamaru. My thanks to waitaki999 for the cache.

Day 3 of our N Z Mega Event Adventure as we were slowly making our way down to Dunedin in our hire camper van geo mobile. We had arrived in Christchurch on a very cold and rainy day, but the weather was now beautiful and sunny - perfect caching weather. We found this cache quite easily and with the log quickly signed, we jumped back into our cache mobile to continue our adventure. Thank you for having placed the cache waitaki999
