Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".

So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.

**Thanks to Team Crackers for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

off we goup and upclimbing awayfor folk that own a tiny little hatchback, we sure see a lot of four-wheel drive tracksour last trip along these tracks was in shin-deep mudtreacherously hiddenboot-swallowingsmooth as mascarponewe hosed ourselves down at the end of that daythankfully, today's track was more solid earth with girthnothing you could sink your boot into every now and then, we heard the distant roar of an engine hooning up a hill we chugged along imagining our hatchback racing up the same hilllike the little engine that could:i think i cani think i canhmmwe think not

I'm out with tiz13 for a drive around the bunyip state forest picking up some specific cache this one was the second on this uphill slog and found quickly we signed and replaced then started the walk back to the car thanks for an epic day out tiz13 maybe one or 2 more on the way and thanks Crackers for placing these caches for us

Last cache on our list for the day as the hours had escaped us.The slog to this cache wasn't as bad but we had no help from the fellow motorbike riders at the last cache. Thankfully the hint was all we needed as cache was located and signed. An easier walk back to the car I almost slipped once but thankfully my reflexes and balance were still switched on. I stuck my thumb out trying to hitch a ride from a crazy P plater and his gal braving the track but his 4WD only seated 2. A very successful day with the sun shining, but unbeknownst to us our caching day wasn't quite over.

Dad had a morning to himself and so decided to turn a DNF into a smiley.

Made my way through the pre-dawn fog, past the lyrebirds, wallabies and a ridiculously-big-deer, to the trailhead. Decided against sending the geo-Corolla up the path, grabbed my hiking poles and headed up up up!

The path was as sticky and muddy as I remembered from last year but i managed to squelch-squerch my way up to the neighbouring cache and then down to the GZ. A quick search and eventually SUCCESS! The well hidden and bone-dry cache was just waiting for me.

Heading back down the hill, a pair of trail bikers whizzed up the hill - making light work of my sweaty efforts.

Oh the memories of my younger Bogan days driving this track In my old Hilux I remember tackling these rocks , this was probably the easier of them all but still good fun , cache was found out in the open , I think Forestry management has cleared and nearly buried this cache so we Rehid within a step in a hollow log
Thanx for the Adventure Stay Dirty ️

I was planning on caching somewhere this morning, but I still hadn't decided where when I got a text from Smokey Bear. I was instantly in, and didn't even know what I was in for. When he suggested the first 4x4 series and maybe a few others that we both maintain found, I thought it was perfect, especially not owning a 4WD.

Had a great time finding caches and visiting areas in the Bunyip State Forest that I haven't been too. Such a lovely area, and looks like a number of these roads had been maintained recently. 7 finds and only 1 DNF, and worked out the entry points for a few other geocaches.

After parking to check out "The Rocky Part", it was pretty obvious that it is a section that I wouldn't want to drive on, but Smokey Bear was keen to do. But before we could continue, we had to search for the cache. Just as I was stepping over the first green part, I looked down and saw that I was stepping over the ammo can too. Guessing it was about 1 season and / or 1 pass of the next rangers clearing the path before it was completely buried. Signed and returned slightly higher and less exposed, except for geocachers, who should find it very quickly.

Thanks for the cache Team Crackers

We were in the neighbourhood visiting another cache so figured another 400m would be a walk in the park. We arrived at gz in no time and just in time to watch some bike riders tackle the rocks along the track, some with more success than others.
The cache was found in great condition. Another satisfying find for us on our Sunday hike.

Hmmmm no joy here this morning.

Dad was out solo chasing a T5 or two for an AHomburg Challenge, but without ladder or yak all he could do was ride Shanks’ pony up the hill.

Departed the suburbs in the wee hours, arrived at base of the 4wd track just on dawn to find the gate firmly locked. Ahh well, the corolla probably would’ve struggled anyway.

Sticky squelchy mud dogged every step and often ended up slipping back down the hill, making the first km the toughest I’ve done in a while. Strangely though I loved every minute of it, listening to the birds calling.

Located the neighbouring cache and headed downhill for this bonus. But that’s where the troubles began.

There’s just so many large logs in this region, each overgrown and undergrown by sword grass. Plus the iPhone started to run low on charge and couldn’t settle on a Gz.

After a solid 30mins had to admit defeat. Cache is probably here but it’s just too good today. TFTC and the workout

Found with Geoturtle37, The Tritonz, beckNmonts and micaparamedic. We had been eyeing off these caches for some time, so when we received an invite to join a small but intrepid band for the day we were all over it. The CO was set to join us as well, but a postponement due to rain unfortunately threw a spanner in that plan. The rain stayed away this time around and a great time was had by all rumbling around the Bunyip area. We tackled all but one track in our vehicles, that one was deemed too risky by unanimous vote. There was a bit of slipping here and there, but only one winch recovery required and everyone stayed shiny side up so that is just part of the fun. Thanks Team Crackers for bringing us out here for a great day out. We look forward to hitting the trail and sharing a cold one over a tall tale down the track somewhere.

08-Feb-19
We had spotted these series quite some time ago but didn't feel that we had enough experience to attempt them on our own. So when we got an invite to join in with others, we were very pleased. Unfortunately, due to the weather, it was called off.
Then we were told that another date had been set so it was on again. We had been watching the weather, and although it didn't seem to bad, we weren't sure if it would be called off again. It wasn't, YAY. We met up with two other vehicles at a fuel stop, struggled our way through Friday afternoon traffic and road words and were soon on the road to adventure. It was a shame that the 4th vehicle couldn't make it (but I'm sure the CO has done these tracks more than once.)
There were some awesome views and great tracks. There was only one that was undriveable, (in everyone's opinion) although an alternate route was chosen for another cache. Considering that there had apparently been rain only a couple of days earlier, we were lucky with the tracks. We only found one of them to be a little slippery but no worries.
A winch was needed in one place but nothing major and no damage or harm done so really doesn't count.
I had a fantastic afternoon out so a huge thank you to our awesome travelling companions for the invite and another huge thanks to the CO's for placing these caches.
Really hope that we can get out to do some more.

In the company of beckNmonts, micaparamedic, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 in 3 capable 4WD's we finally knocked off these 2 4x4 series with little mishap. Mr. Weatherman had predicted much rain but beckNmonts convinced us that he was wrong as all previous days predictions had failed to produce said 50mm of rain that was supposed to hit Melbourne in a big way. Taking her word for it and lets face it, not wanting to have to cancel once again, we met up at a local servo and then made our way in convoy to enjoy a wonderful adventure with great mates testing our skills in the Bunyip State Park. The small amount of rain that had been through here on the Wednesday made one track slippery in spots but we managed to avoid most of it and still claim the hides. Good hints made for easy finds and our team names were all added to the logbooks held captive in their ammo can prisons.
Definitely getting rocky here! We all found a flat, non rocky piece of track to park on and made our way to the cache, well eventually once our GPS's behaved themselves.
Thanks very much Team Crackers for the effort put into both series, for us and others to enjoy.

08-Feb-19
With rain forecast I was concerned that we would again, have to postpone our quest of these caches. However, I managed to convince people that there was not as much rain this way as the news was making out. So we met at the agreed time, minus just one of the parties... the co, of course! (I’m pretty sure they will know they were missing prior to reading my log). We managed to find all the caches, and didn’t have any car mishaps. A slight winching incident, but where there is no damage done, there is no issue, IMO! Thanks so much for placing this series Team Crackers, I had a great time finding the caches today.

What was to have been a quick weekend trip to Melbourne to accompany leafotwind on his 3,000th cache find Cool (since I had also recently completed the Victorian Premiers whereigo Smile) became an 8 day trip because there was a CITO [^] at Traralgon the next day which then led to Mallacoota SurprisedCool and the Snowy Mountain Highway Cool[^] since I couldn't legally use the Great Alpine Road as I didn't have snow chains SurprisedTwisted because the boring freeway back to Melbourne and then back to Shepparton didn't sound like fun SadRazz

The first day, I met my sister in Bendigo Cool as she waited for her semi to be unloaded and reloaded, so we went op shopping in the meantimeBig Grin[:X]Cool From there it was off to Melbourne and the group find of the Victorian Premiers whereigo which had taken me to many spots in Victoria Big GrinCool[^] Then the group slogged our way up a slippery, muddy slope [|)][xx(]SurprisedTwisted to get a couple of simple drive by 4 x 4 caches (when the tracks are open) before caching on into the night CoolBig Grin

I made a find on a previous Sad DNF at Moe Cool then it was off to Clean Up a Creek at Traralgon [^] followed by finding some bloody good caches Cool (both containers and reasons for placement) around the area with leafotwind, NoWorries andAlphaDeltaIndigo Big Grin[:X], chatting to Crisp image as the group found Wherever I Lay My Hat CoolSmile before Rex and I left the group, walking in the Crinigan Road Bushland Reserve at dusk[^]Smile, seeing a huge Surprised Dr21 dredger once used for coal mining and now placed at Morwell, finding a tiny grave in the middle of a shopping area Sad, finding my 1st 3D printed cache container Cool and then it was off to the Lakes Entrance area and wandering out on the peninsulaSmileCool[^]

Seeing old RAAF airfields and radio bunkersCool, seeing tiny country towns and meeting some great people Smile (including an almost muggle woman and her children in Mallacoota where she had previously looked for 1 cache and who may now get into geocaching properly Cool[^]), seeing the sun rise while surrounded by kangaroos Smile and standing on the eastern coast of Vic Cool and chatting with Rollmatrix throughout my time in Mallacoota and Genoa SmileBig Grin

Find #9686

Out this way for an adventure AND a celebration. This time it was to celebrate leafotwind's 3000th find milestone. It was a day planned over the last few weeks and a perfect day it was. Winter yes, sunny, also yes. What better day to spend with a few caching buddies. There was of course leafotwind as well as AlphaDeltaIndigo, nirgalagrin, Locus Cache and also we had n0w0rries +Wife as well as 3 geomutts.

After getting all the way up to Annie on foot, this one was a walk in the park.

Many thanks to Team Crackers for the cache. TNLN.

As ahomburg was sure he'd already visited this one, I picked my way down the treacherous slope while he waited for the rest of our party to reach the top of Gentle Annie.

This time, there was no rival to claim the nineteen months of new appreciation for the cache, which was safe and sound in its hiding place.

Thanks, Team Crackers... This pair of caches has done wonders to boost the overall terrain value of my finds.

Huh... It turns out that ahomburg had not, in fact, already found this cache, so I met him coming down as I was starting the return journey. So back I came.

In the end, the entire group made the extra effort for this smiley as well. I'm proud of them all.

And we managed to get everyone back to the vehicles with a bit of daylight to spare. Thanks, n0w0rries, for making the executive decision to climb this hill.

---

On a mission to celebrate leafotwind's 3000th cache with the finale to an epic chase around the state, I found myself riding shotgun in locus cache's infamous Harry, in convoy with the milestone achiever (of course), ahomburg, n0w0rries +Wife, AlphaDeltaIndigo, and sundry canines.

Half of the time, I wouldn't have been able to tell you where I was, but we celebrated in style, with a tree climb or two, a huge workout up Gentle Annie and some fantastic caches on the 4X4 tracks and forest roads east of Cockatoo.

A bit of a bonus after finding it's companion, the group comprising of nirgalagrin, ahomburg, myself, AlphaDeltaIndigo, n0w0rries+Wife and locus cache trekked down to this one. What's another 390m when you've already done 1.09km uphill on a 4wd track. The views however did provide some compensation.
The bonus? 19 months of unlove for the NSW unloved challenge.

After LOTW's 3k find...
Gentle Annie was not so gentle on my legs... heard of jelly legs? Nearly had those! At the top of the hill, someone mentioned another gc at a shorter distance from our gorgeous view..
Getting to the cache was gentle as it was downhill.. nirgalagrin beat us all to it! Now the trek back up and down to the car. On foot! Still...a fantastic memory! I'll be back soon to get the other caches in the area!

Today tackled the 4x4 series 1 & 2 and enjoyed the journey to this cache. We would not like to tackle this one in the wet, but no dramas reaching GZ today. We enjoyed this series challeging our Geo 4x4. Cache and contents are in good condition.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

16-Feb-16
After a quick stroll from Be Gentle on Annie through an attractive forest (attractive *now*; it's fairly easy to forget how recently a lot of this was charred) GPS told me I was at GZ. As is all too often the case I only found the cache here on the second pass. I looked at the hiding place early on, but not thoroughly enough. These were pretty nice rocks too, it has to be said. Thanks Team Crackers!

Nice little hide on our 4wd day out. Some other people came along and one of the vehicles took the rocky route. Thank goodness we weren't. Tyftc.

Finally catching up on some logs now that our laptop is home from the computer doctor!

Out for a day drive with hubby, nothing planned, nowhere to be... After driving up through Jindavick hubby was itching for some 4WD-ing.. A quick search had us heading for this series. The tracks were amazing, although a little hair raising in parts... Hubby handled them all with confidence while I held on for dear life! The kids giggled and laughed the whole drive.

Thanks Team Crackers for placing this cache Smile:)

Found 2:20:00 PM, whilst out with Muzza on our December caching expedition, to Bunyip State forest. A 4WD expedition this time, so the Wrangler could do what it does best Big Grin

TNLN, thanks Team Crackers (F=17447 H=129).

09-Dec-15
Out and about with Biggles Bear #1 in the 4WD, we decided to take advantage of its capabilities and headed for the Bunyip State Forest to do both 4x4 series there. On advice from the CO, we attempted the second series first, then the first series in reverse order, although things didn't go as planned. The track from Gentle Annie to this one seemed better than the one up to Gentle Annie, despite appearing to be a lesser track on the map. My thanks to Team Crackers for the cache.

19-Mar-15
A great day out and a bit of wildlife around. Once finding the right tracks in to the area the beginning was no real issue although there were a few puddles around. Once at GZ we pushed in the bush and got to the right spot and made the find. We completed the signing duties and great to see an ammo can. TFTC
We continued up and got to a steep hill that was deeply rutted which with some damp parts meant we would not get up so double back and picked up the rest of the first series in reverse being Homeward bound (quick find), Annie (certainly well cover log - how did we miss such a large log to start with) and The Rocky Bit (quick find). All logs signs and caches re hid. TFTC

Yay. Bloody phone gps took me everywhere. Finally got it. Took santa and left some 3d glasses. TFTC

[green] Nobody there [/green]

Since my car would have no chance at all to get over the totally chewed up bit of muddy track further down the hill, I had to walk. It was quite nice with good views over Gippsland. The cache was found without problems despite me using an iPhone instead of a real GPSr.

Thanks and cheers Wink

Great series of caches, reasonably easy drive in dry weather. This one was an easy find.

16-Jul-13
Had a magnificent day out in Bunyip Forrest. The main aim was to pick up a few of the 4X4 series (on foot) as well as explore some interesting features I had spotted from satellite imagery (as possible places to hide some new caches).

Was in the area (400m away) logging the Annie cache and had a nice easy walk over to this one. It's a great series Team Crackers and I will be back to do some more before the tracks are all opened and the 4WDs and trail bikes are allowed to ruin my walking tracks.

A great day out in the 4 wd track is in really good condition. Looks like a bull dozer has been through - track dry. Thanks for a great day out. 2 more to go....

27-Apr-13
We made our way up to this cache carefully. Certainly glad the road now has a slightly different trajectory, our new sliders are cheap crappy ones (currently on the hunt for some better ones!) there's no way they'd offer any protection from an ascent like that one! Fun section and cache found, tick and onto the next!

Out for a bit of fun geocaching with Earthbound Chief and Co. We decided to head towards Bunyip State Forest and a bit of 4x4 excitement. Cache was easily located without too many injuries!!! TFTC

Done today in the company of Team Crackers, Maccamob, Rebel Acts, Rabbitto, pprass, and Mr Coffee. It was here that I really appreciated how much difficulty was involved in the original track - maybe they weren't telling such tall stories after all!

Many thanks to Team Crackers for these caches, and to Team Oaky for replacing this one.

13-Apr-13
Found by Mary & David, in company with Team Crackers, Alansee, Rebel Acts, pprass, Rabbitto and The Coffees, at 1205. This track now bypasses a lot of it's previous challenges, but the 'rocky bits' are still there for anyone who feels the need to risk damage to their vehicles. No way would we have tried the old version! The track work also meant that the replacement cache was no longer where the coordinates suggested, so we recorded new ones. Our thanks to Team Crackers.

13-Apr-13
Out for a days caching and some cache maintenance with Alansee, Maccamob, Pprass, Rabbitto, Rebel Acts and The Coffees. The dozer had made the new track right through GZ so we have adjusted the page to suit the hiding spot of the new ammo tin.

We were meant to be going away for the long weekend but alas it didnt happen so what to do instead ?
So the boys decided they wanted to go for a 4x4 drive and i piped up saying i know a place we can go Wink
Lucky for me they all have very capable 4x4s without them this series would be a very long walk or ride , but no where near as much fun !! So our trip was under way this was our first cache of the day as it was the closest to home .Cache was found after a short search one of the easiest finds for the day . The rocks could be tricky to traverse but the boys had fun doing the hard way and the chicken track[even the chicken track could be challenging] TFTC some swaps were made by the kids we will be back along these tracks i'm sure

IF ANYONE IS ATEMPTING THESE CACHES I DEFINITLY RECOMEND YOU KNOW YOUR VEHICLE AND IT'S LIMITS !!! I DON'T THINK I WOULD EVEN ATTEMPT THESE IN THE WET UNLESS YOU LIKE WINCHING ALOT!!!

[Purple] Legs aren’t so fresh now! [/Purple]

It seemed a long way to this cache, as there was more going away from GZ than going towards it and more pushing going on than peddling

The gates might be closed but that doesn’t seem to stop the motorbikes as quite a few past me as I got near GZ

This time at GZ it wasn’t the regrowth that was the problem it was the lack off it as it appeared the area had been cleaned up by a dozer

Searched all the locations that matched the clue and some, it wasn’t until I read the resent logs that I realized what was up! A phone call to the CO was needed to eventually get me over the line with this one. Took some new co-ords, which are not that indifferent to the posted ones. May I suggest the clue be updated to “The large log”

A very big Thx TeamCrackers for helping me out with this one

We can not believe how busy thing are for this time of year. A muggle friend has replaced this cache with small sistema until we can get the ammo tin back in place

22-Jan-12
We have been told the tracks are are open again so went out today to replace this one but had some unexpected mechanical trouble and had to give up before getting off the road. Next week end is is our busiest except for New Years Eve so it will have to be after that.
Sorry for the delay.

28-Nov-11
Hi Ministro,
We do not know if they have opened the tracks as yet but it has been too wet for us to even think about going out.
We had a friend who tried some of the tracks out that way a couple of weeks back and they spent a lot of time recovering his vehicle just trying to get back to the road.
Now work has got very busy (Christmas carols etc) and we will not have a chance to get out there until mid January.
If possible we would like to wait until then.
If this is a problem we are happy to archive both these caches and re list them in January when work drops off a bit.
Either way is good for us but as much as we want to get back there unfortunately work has to come first.
Cheers.

01-Jul-11
Hi Ministro
As with 4x4 1 Be Gentle with Annie we were out of the state for 2 months earlier this year and now with the unusually large amount of rain we have had the tracks into this area are either too wet and not passable or are closed until November to prevent damage.
We have the cache ready to replace but it will most likely not be possible after winter.
If we find out different we will attempt to replace before then.
Cheers

Di, as per the phone message I left on Spook's phone, I reckon this one has gone, destroyed by a dozer doing track maintenance. I have the mangled lid in my possession.

Out geocaching with Pau Pau & co, on what was supposed to be a sunny summers day. We came in from the top but missed the road, then got within 900 meters from GZ from the bottom. But we couldn't seem to find a track to walk up as where the gps indicated it was, was very overgrown, and wet. The road/track was too slippery drive back up as it was raining and the grader had just been through and turned the road into a sticky slippery mess. Will attempt it another time from the top when it is a dry day.

Found @ 10.50am, #555.
A day out motorbike riding in the bush and why not find some caches while we were there, I had my GPSr in my pocket so it was a bit hard to see it there and we went right passed The Begining and I had also gone passed The Rocky Bit but stopped because my mate had become stuck, I took out my GPSr and realized that he was stuck about 10m from the cache so we had a look and came up with the goods.
Thanks Team Crackers for this cache.

Same problem as with the Beginning. Our GPS seems to be way off and won't settle so with all the new growth after the fires we searched and searched to no avail.

continuing on from the first cache, the rocky bit did see us stopping and clearfully planning our way through and around the rocky bits. After all the excitment, we decided it was time for lunch, thinking that the next cache was just next to this one. (on my 2" GPS screen, it did look really close). Following lunch, a quick look at the GPS revealed the next cache was 350m. Given what we just drove over, I didn't fancy the walk there and back. Plus we found a lot of traffic on the tracks and felt it best to press on.

This one was a little more fun than the first one. Kids and Mrs got out "just in case" while I scrambled up. We passed several shiny 4wd's who all seemed to not want to challenge their $80k+ new vehicles!

Thanks for bringing us here. The blackness was really starting to rub off on the kids by this stage too...

Came within 900m of this cache today.
Thought no I will leave it for later.

Found at 1145 hours, after strolling down from Gentle Annie.
Not so gentle in my opinion.
Did enjoy the walk in to both of these caches.

Hi nomex,
We realise this cache has been off line for awhile but after the fires of Black Saturday we are waiting for Parks Victoria to reopen the tracks.
We have been told the area of the 4X4-1 series could be open by Christmas but at the moment the public is not allowed in at all.
If it can not wait that long we will replace them as soon as we can get in and relist the series.
Thanks
Mark and Diane.

this area should be open 1st weekend of november http://nremap-sc.nre.vic.gov.au/MapShare.v2/imf.jsp?site=paim that map shows all closed and open roads

For safety reasons this series will be disabled until the CFA has the fires under control and given the all clear for the public to re enter the area. We will then check and see what has survived and replace if nessessary.
Thanks for your coopperation

We decided that another day out bush was required and a maintance visit to these caches would do the job. The track is a bit drier but also a bit rougher. All the vehicles made it here with no need for the winch. We collected the trackables to get them moving again.

Sorry for the late log, we had so much fun compleating this cache with the rest of the teams we forgot to log it. This part was not as hard as last time.

Thanks Team Crackers and every one else for making it such a great day.

Found at 10.40am GAFF5. Approaching the rocks there were some tricky slippery sections here and there that required a bit of extra stick on the throttle after losing forward motion.
Ok - the tyres need to be deflated to make it easier to get over these rocks. And after a lot of guidance from those who had recently done it, a map was laid out over the terrain and the rocks were conquered with no damage to the vehicles. What a relief! 16 years ago it was a completely different story with sill damage due to low clearance of the vehicle.
At this stage someone in the group said "gee - we are doing pretty well so far. We may be able to do some extra caches after wards!" Famous last words?
Thanks Crackers - you did this in the dry didn't you? Please say you did!

The entertainment watching Simon of team Rabbitto in front of us was fantastic he was plowing head like a bull in a China shop there was no stoping him, we had a few moments on the rocks but made it to the cache in tacked and ready for Annie or so we thought. Thanks Team Crackers for the cache.

The second cache in the series and the need for the hubs and low 4 becoming evident. The slipping was fun and the sliding exhilarating but still under control. Much more (and worse) yet to come.

We found our 47th Team Crackers cache at 10:30am as the 2nd of 5 on our Bunyip Madness 4x4 trip in company of Fullonphil, Vombatus, Coffees, Crackers, Pprass and Acts2youthgroup. On route to this cache, we paused until the whole convoy was together which included 5 4WDs and a Trail Bike. A few slippery sections but none too bad and all vehicles were able to negotiate the rocky bit without too much trouble. Once again I nabbed the cache and replaced it so Pprass could still gain a GAFF1 Eric out GAFFed him again. Wow, that's the hard bit complete already. Uh-oh. Thanks for the cache from D,S,K & H B-A.

Like any good stories the adventure starts with a Beginning and progresses into a rocky ride along the way. This cache can only be described as a text book story.
We headed off from the last “beginning†cache and it soon became apparent that we needed to be in 4wd mode with a little pressure off the highway tyres to help. This was only a 5 minute pit stop and with lowered tyre pressure and low range in gear we headed up the first of many wet muddy tracks.
We made our way over the odd rock and at one stage I thought this was why this cache got its name until………!
We were now greeted by a true rocky outcrop that needed to be assessed for the best way to climb it/them. There was 3 different possible paths to the first section and the decision was made to try the left first. First try hung up on a rock, second try drivers side in air, third try spinning, fourth try spinning, fifth try bashed and stuck on boulder- reversed OK.
Time to try the middle section but this turned out to be a bad idea after ripping off a mud flap and bashing the driver side suspension on a rock that bared many 4wd scars, time to reassess the situation.
It was apparent we were not going to get up by normal 4wd driving so we decided to make a man made set of rock steps on the right hand side to climb the ledge. This turn out to be a winner and after 2-3 goes the back of the Hilux bashed and bounced as it followed the front up and over the ledge. First Section Complete. The rest of the Rocks were relatively easy and straight up the middle proved to be the best and hassle free.
Needless to say the cache was found on perfect coordinates and Our 150th FTF was found and logged which was one of the hardest FTF to reach so far.
Our Thanks to Team Crackers for the cache, truly excellent and a great demonstration of bush caching, highly recommended.
