As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Since this has been archived now - can someone put me out of my misery - where was the cache?

30-Nov-11
Sorry this one should have been disabled a while ago.

19-Nov-11
I couldn't find it either - but I may not have looked for long enough, especially given some of the logs I've now read about the great camo.

09-Sep-11
Spent quite a while looking higher this time but still no luck. Think it must be gone or we are cache blind.

23-Apr-11
Found on a trip around tasmania with Spuddymoore and Moores@victor.

One of about 106 found during a 25 day holiday from Victor Harbor to Melbourne with a lap of Tasmania thrown in before heading back to Victor. It rains in Tasmania!

16-Mar-11
Found with MtnLioness on our week-long sightseeing, touring and caching tour of Tasmania.
Initially we thought we would have to clamber up the steep slope, then we spotted a clearing further along the road, drove to that, then followed the railway line, then clambered up to the cache region, then saw the walking track - D'OH!.
Looked around a fair bit, then MtnLioness spotted a VERY CLEVER hide nicely camo'd and well hidden. (not sure about the meaning of the clue though). Walked back to the car along the walking track.
Nice camo job, TFTC.

16-Mar-11
Found in the company of MtbikerOz (Dad) on our week of Touring and caching around Tazzie.
Wow, this one had us clamboring up a steep incline and how exactly we missed the path down yonder I don't know.
Took us ages, the clue made me think something else, but finally I noticed a strange pattern beneath some of the bark from the nearby tree and finally found it! Great job on the camo!

12-Mar-11
Searched and searched but came away empty handed.

12-Mar-11
Must be well hidden, couldn't locate after lots of searching.

19-Jan-11
Extensive search and getting dark so no choccies for this one. Redoing the log as I seem to have accidentally said we found it when we didn't. Sorry.

Excellent work on the cammo! Hadn't been to these parts since I was a teenager cutting through to go to Serendipity with my gold pass! Left crayon, took plastic frog, then got some photos of the frog with niece next to nearby pond. TFTC Eyrettes!!

15-Jun-10
A quick dash over the rails and up into the bush and the cache was soon in our hand.

Nice one Carrolleyre! I spent a lot of time in this area as a teen so it was nice to revisit. TNLN.

19-Apr-10
Now this was an interesting find which was made all the more interesting by the fact that we brought the wrong cache description with us. It definitely wasn't the micro "D'port Survey" that we were expecting!! Great work has been done to camouflage the container. TN & left a soldier. TFTC

03-Apr-10
Fantastic hide. Thanks for the cache

07-Mar-10
Found this before visiting a former cacher who has move to Devonport.
Funnily enough, the cache is almost exactly in the middle of where his house and his business are!!

Great camo!

Forgot to bring a pen, so had to make do with scrawling in the log with the pencil, which was quite blunt.

Thanks for the great hide, it's a really pretty park that not many people seem to visit!!

20-Feb-10
Finding was easy.... but I never knew I was THAT small.... [:o)]
TFTC!

16-Feb-10
easy find but difficult to replace as I am vertically challenged

30-Jan-10
Upon arriving at GZ we had quite an unexpectedly easy cache. Cache had made its way out of hiding and was there for all to see. After logging find we (well hubby did as he has the 1 thing needed to put cache in its rightful place) replaced cache in its little hidey hole. Great cammo!!

15-Jan-10
Found quickly, quite clever, TNLB TFTC

04-Jan-10
Considerable effort made to make cache blend with the surroundings. Thanks.

23-Nov-09
Took a little while to get to the general area (damn map) but once there, a quick walk soon had the well camo'd cache in hand. Good hide and TFTC.

27-Sep-09
Found it on the ground, did a swap and put it back in place, nice camo job and view good too

12-Sep-09
Found this one on a maintenance run with CarrollEyre to replace a lost pencil. A very pretty view of the river. Thanks CarrollEyre

11-Sep-09
A brilliant camouflaged, creative cache. The chameleon has moved further skywards. Its home had disintergrated.

No pencil. Left a key ring. Thank you for the effort.

15-Jul-09
What a cache! Some little people have put a lot of effort in camoflaging this clever little cache. A nice easy find.

15-Jul-09
Arrived at GZ, scratched our heads a little, then looked up - there it was! What a creative little container - well done!
Took green pen, left bouncy ball.

07-Jul-09
Finally ... 1st attempt we trotted off with no GPS and soon realised that having a general location wasn't going to be enough for us inexperienced lot so enjoyed exploring the park instead. 2nd attempt, with GPS in hand, ended whilst nearing the search ground when the youngest tagalong fell onto some prickles and howled loud enough for all the neighbourhood dogs to join in so we gave up and went frog hunting instead. 3rd attempt went well and we were even treated to a passing train, but failed to locate anything (in hindsight the GPS was putting us a good few metres off location). Having confirmed we did indeed need to be looking up we went back for another try this time with no GPS and yay we spotted it and after a bit of acrobatics between adult and child we manged to log our visit and replace. Big Grin Loved it. Thanks Carrolleyres

27-Jun-09
Still there, still camoflaged but pencil broken. I will replace the pencil soon. The pond further south in the park valley is still very pretty.

22-Apr-09
spent quite a while looking before we found this TNLN, TFTC

28-Mar-09
Was on dusk when I took another quick break from my drive to Elliott. Surprised that I found it first off, given the failing light, the bit of tree cover, the way that the GPS I'm currently using seems to trick me when it's getting down below about 20m to go, and just the usual difficulties faced when I'm trying to find a cache! I loved the cammo and I loved the hide. Thanks for a top little cache.

22-Mar-09
This was a late afternoon visit to the park for me today.
Every doggie that ever there was,
Seemed to be barking at me today because,
I was strolling through here [:o]
I could still hear the cacophany at GZ as I searched for the cache Smile
'Twas nicely hidden and just in reach Big Grin

Nice hide! Satellite coverage probably wasn't perfect, but once I interpreted the clue I was fairly sure where it would be. Good view down the river as well.

Great cache spot and pretty hard for only our third find! We three enjoy the challenge and look forward to posting one ourselves. Good disguise too. We took the red lanyard and my daughter left (i hate to say it) a pokemon card :0 .

19-Dec-08
What a great cammo! If it hadn't been for the clue I doubt we would have found it. This is a lovely park - we used to use it for all sorts of activities when I was teaching at the local school - cross country, frisbee golf, capture the flag and environmental science.

We took the little whistle and left a nice red lanyard. TFTC

25-Nov-08
Found this cache after 2 attempts - very impressed with the camourflage. We have lived in this area for many years but have had no reason to visit this park until now. Had forgotten how nice it is - especially enjoyed the view up river as pointed out in the clues.

Well done and thank you.

Congratulations on the cammo. There is a job available with the army. Took some looking, but finally found it. Number 5 for the day, second CarrollEyre for the day, and a fitting 100 for the year. TNLNSL TFTC

Great camo here and precise instructions meant that this was a quick search.
I have not seen a cache disguised like this before, so well done and another new part of Devonport for me also.
Thanks

10.15am
Found by Roma and Max.
It took our receiver a little while to decide on GZ, then your excellent camo lengthened our search time somewhat.
We left our mark in the log and made no exchange.
Thank you again CarrollEyre for this challenge.
Romax.

Had a few spare minutes in Devonport today with Chilli so we went for a short walk and a game of hide n seek in this cool park, gpsr wouldnt settle so we did a couple of laps around gz but in ever decreasing circles we stumbled upon it. Great Camo job guys

31-Jul-08
been here before for caches still a nice spot. Very clever hide and good cammo job. well done guys. TNLNSL

26-Jul-08
Thanks for another fun cache eyrretes. Not too long, not too short ( unlike previous finder }:) Wonderful hide And we got to use the GPS! although son would have preferred if I'd used my head to figure out where the PATH might be. Bit of a doh! moment when I spotted that - and then ignored it again and took the prickly route back! both the area and the box itself were worth finding - fancy having a wetlands up here with a precious little scrap of white gum forest. Geo pup enjoyed herself immensely.

09-Jul-08
I found it after a ridiculous amount of searching, eventually decided where it must be according to description, clue and incidentally GPS directions. Possibly didn't find it quickly due to the same reason why I couldn't actually sign log book or swap anything.... which I will leave to your imagination.

I had no idea that this lovely park was there, I've only lived in Devonport for 20 years! I liked the camouflage too, and the view up the river.

Apparently, the army would like to get some camo lessons from the carrolleyre crew. Great conceal, thanks for your school holiday efforts. Took snake, left whistle, signed log. Cheers!

Good job on the creative cache. Good park. Thanks CarollEyre.

14-Jun-08
Well, I was the first to find in the "proper" place so there!!
Coords spot on, cache well concealed and cammoed and much to my delight a personal note to me from the Eyrettes inside.
I managed to approach from the East without any difficulty, but almost got sprung by a dog walking muggle.
Thanks very much CarrollEyre.

Found this one when I was Mrs Cheesy Pig. I have struck out on my own and am now logging the caches I found in my previous persona (but not the ones found only by Mr Cheesy Pig of course)! Let me know if you would like me to find it and log it again but under my new name.

09-Jun-08
Like everyone else, we found it while looking for another cache. In fact the coords from the other cache lead us right to it. Two caches for the price of one!
This is actually the second time we have found an unpublished cache.
7yo cacherboy had fun making little bark boats to float in the water.
Thanks CarrollEyre.

09-Jun-08
Not the first to find, but the fist to log so we will take that win lol.

Sometimes caching involves a hard slog up a hill, sometimes it involves days of the Mr. Screaming at the computer because the puzle won't solve itself.

Sometimes caching just happens, it's serendipity. This is one of those times.

While looking for the final GZ of another fine cache over the weekend away we found what looked like a cache hide. Once the cache was in hand we checked the log book and realised, to quote Obi Wan Kenobi "this wasn't the cache we were looking for" (hand flourish).

In spite of that we claimed the find, noticing that we had been beaten to it. Then we went on and found the GZ we were originally after.

Thanks Carrolleyre, a lovely unexpected find in a lovely park.

We accidentally found this cache while searching for another cache in the same area. We weren’t the first to find it either.
The cammo was very cute and I can just imagine those little Eyrettes having a ball making it.
A train went by while we were there and even though it was dark we could see how nice the park was.
Thanks CarrollEyre (s) Big Grin
