First for the day with a group of friends. Took a bit of hunting but we eventually tracked it down.TFTC JABs
This one turned out to be too good for us, (if it is still there)
WE had a good search around the middle with no luck, sad.

Found this cache on the way to Cowra for xmas. We were able to park the car really close to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. CTLX looks like a pretty serious saleyard, love to be able to visit during a sale day to see what goes on. Thanks for the cache JABs
log was to wet to write on and cache was obviously broken so i put one i had in the car there to replace the damaged cache hope thats okay

A refreshingly different little micro on the roadside in the rain where no cows could be seen but definately smelt! Cheers from Sydney!

Nice drive by, although there were no cattle when we were there.
How does a place like this make money? I guess they must charge every animal that comes through?

Found with becon, our first with our new GPS unit. So much better than a car GPS. Easy find.
Quick stop off on the way from Wagga to Bathurst, easy find and glad to get back in the acr away from the smell T4TC.
An easy drive by, although it was a bit busy. TNLNSL. Thanks JABs for the cache.
Nice placement, I was out there dropping my fathers sheep too sale so picked this up on the way out....
The complex was in full swing & cow cockies were everywhere so decided to leave it for another day. These complexes are the way to go for the well being of the animals & comfort of the buyers etc.
Found this cache at 10:20pm on our way home to the Southern Highlands via Carcoar and Trunkey creek, caching as we go.
What a hugh livestock centre and not a smell to be sniffed.
Had morning tea near the hide, on such a lovely sunny day.
Easy find.
Thanks JABS for the hide.

We had actually visited the sale yards the day before. How impressive they moved 16,000 sheep at the last sales !!! A very easy find though on the day, as we could drive to the spot. TFTC
46 - Looks like a really impressive facility. A few trucks coming and going but not a great deal of action. Thanks JABs
Found by Mary & David at 1015. A quick find luckily on such a freezing cold morning. Very busy inside - lights ablaze, and lots of trucks coming and going. Much more modern facilioties for man and beast than the old fashioned country saleyards. Our thanks to JABs.
All was quiet this morning and I spent a short while searching the wrong place as I am sure others will. Once I fixed that the cache was a quick find with good coordinnates. thanks JABs
beautiful day, we were at CTLX selling lambs (good prices) and decided to find a cache or two, ended up heading out to the dam after finding this one, been out to the saleyards plenty of times but never realised there was a cache there. Thanks
All the supplier of paddies for Hungry Jacks
Or those flat brown things in Big Mac’s
A stew, a steak nice and lean
Or the beef in beef and black bean
A casserole, sausage or Sheppard’s pie
Sorry to say cowies, you’re bred to die
An since you taste so bloody good
I see this place as a storage yard for food
Found with matt_stomper on our way to Bathurst for Easter. A nice quick find and dispite the Easter traffic it was reasonably quiet due to the rain. TFTC
Followed closely in the footsteps of all the Canberra Geocachers no doubt. Nice quick stop. TFTC.
Swooped in to the parking/rallying area in the McPhan-mobile, then spilled out to seek the cache. Impressive to watch the McPhan 'tingly geocaching senses' dissolve into reality in the form of numb hands from hours of driving. He was 500 mS slow and 25 mm to the right. Troubling times! Thanks JABs.
1089 - Day 3 of the Bathurst Invasion - on the way home via Orange, Cowra etc...
Must remember - not always in the obvious spot.....
Took a few minutes and a couple of fence jumps but found it in the end...
TNLN - TFTC !!
Cheers....

1936. By this stage of the trip I was showing Mrs Winglen and Mr RexTrex my incredible geocaching senses - as in "My geocache senses are tingling. " And yet again I was wrong. This was a trend that would continue for almost the entire rest of the trip.

My first trip to Bathurst for 34 years – came up through Booroowa and Cowra and headed home via Oberon and Goulburn. Although with that many caches, my memory has blurred, I have come away with a great appreciation of the countryside and seen more of the towns than if I was doing my normal touristy thing. I have seen historic locations, scenic locations, fun locations, tricky micros, easy micros, evil micros – fantastic.
Thanks JABS for all the caches - this was the first that we did of yours on the run. CT got distracted by something bigger, and I happened upon the neat hide. Thanks for the fun of the hunt.

Yup was big founded with mtrax and albida. Was great to meet the owner later the next day TFTC
Our first cache for the year was a road side micro. That's the problem when one is out and about with Tronador and Lady Altaire when they're in a numbers frenzy. The good thing is that one stays in the air conditioned car whilst the girls are despatched to wander through the flies and the long grass to find the cache. Apparently it was a nice hide but readily located.
Happy New Year JABs. On our way to Nangar NP, Stopped here to nab another micro. Didn't enjoy the trek through the long grass. Found the cache, didn't find any snakes.

Found this one on the way home from Christmas with the family. A quick find.

Traveling home from Dubbo after doing the fireworks for the Monster Truck show we were doing a few caches along the way and we found this one at 17.24 We pulled up to find that they were exchanging livestock today, fortunately this had no effect on the search and the cache was located quickly

I arrived at GZ and after avoiding a bogging, looked around for a clue as to where the cache might be
A few metres away were the letters CTLX standing a metre high in the windscreen [:o]
I guessed I was close
TFTC. MOO!!

Found the cache ok in the sleet and cold wind Saturday but the got bogged in the mud 40m from gz.Luckily a passing motorist stopped and hooked up some chains to save the day and drag us out. Thanks to JADs for the cache and the good samaritan who helped out.
CTLX was a quick easy find while passing through the area. You certainly can't miss the letters CTLX. The new sale yards are certainly a behemoth compared to the old ones that they replace.

Found this one on the ground.
Given the construction of the cache we replaced it in the appropriate manner after signing the log.
Sale yards were active today however everybody was watching the cattle and not two cachers and their dog!

Lucky this was a quick drive by !! as it was a steamy 3 deg, signed the log and on our way. Thanx
We were pretty surprised to get 2TF on this one, with all the cachers now located in the Blayney vicinity. But we were happy with the result all the same. Nice hide. We have driven this road a few time in the past couple of weeks and the new Saleyards are a sight to behold.
Found it! I went through the usual afternoon routine, chucked the work bag into the corner and checked the new listings only to find a new one less than 7Kms up the road. The kids and I dashed out to grab the FTF. It's nice to see a bit of rain but the smell from the complex was overpowering, phew! Thanks for a fun afternoon JABs, SL TFTC.
