Down in Brisbane for the day and had a whole day of caching planned but the unseasonable amount of wet stuff falling from the sky might hinder that plan. Ive got my gumboots, raincoat and umbrella so well see how far we get! Nice easy walk to this one and found the ca co e in the second spot I checked. The lid is broken and the logbook is in shreds but etched my name on a bit of paper. Thanks for the cache totalubeFind #6209
Our sons place is not that far away and we are staying with him for a few days and heading home about 4pm this afternoon when our grandson sitting ends. Learnt a long time ago to read and re read the full and entire description before making a move. We like this one. TFTC totaltube
We visited this area on occasion of a CITO event in July and went afterwards on a geocaching tour.
Of course on trying to solve that puzzle I started putting in 3 waypoints, then I thought hmmmm, doesn't look right, read a bit more and voilà, got the coords! A fav point from me
We found this cache and signed the log.

Early morning caching run to close out another gap in my calendar before the rain sets in.
Just a few weeks before I started geocaching, this geocache was published. I can remember reading about it so very early on - perhaps in my first year. There was less geocaches on the map, which might explain why it became apparent so far outside my 'territory' back then. I also recall the email chain/meme that was circulating about this same concept and a story about a school test that followed the idea. Thus, I remember being utterly impressed that someone had likely seen that same email chain/media post and converted it for geocaching purposes. Nice.
And I likely felt cocky and smug when I knew exactly what needed to be done, but alas it would take a mere 12 years before I finally sorted out making a smiley of it. Heck, I ought to be thankful the geocache even lasted so long for me to find it and tell the odd story.
Today's original plan was to go west and climb an exposed mountain. But when the weather forecast showed it would be disgustingly hot, oz_bean_counter and I opted last minute to go oldie-hunting in this area. We put together the loosest of plans and would meander around grabbing geocaches on or both of us hadn't found before. That works for me!
Given it's been a couple hours out in the heat, this was my fifth and final find for the day (but we'd stopped at a few extras I need not log again). Various maps pointed out the path we needed, and we cut an optimal route up towards GZ. Doing a full loop today felt inadvisable.
We passed a few other folk, but ended up with the final location to ourselves; perfect. OBC was poking around elsewhere when I made a quick find. Evidently we're good at RTFQ-ing! Logbook signed and all replaced around 12:20. Now to head back to the car, find some lunch and cool off. Thanks for this memorable geocache, totalube

Headed out for a spot of caching this morning, until the giant ball of fire in the sky made things too uncomfortable. Still, was glad for the couple I did grab.
This oldie has been sitting in my "solved, to be found" list for quite some time. I'm a fan of old caches and was glad to finally tick this one off.

Today I ventured out towards Samford and surrounds to grab myself a bunch of old caches and a wide variety of other caches to. It was an action packed day with plenty of highs and lows, literally. I climbed mountains, walked along creeks and did a tonne of bush bashing. It was an epic adventurous day and I had a blast!
In total I managed 28 finds and 1 DNF.
It certainly does help when you read things properly doesn't it. I remember looking at this puzzle a while ago and instantly gave up, that's way too many waypoints for me. This time around I made sure I read everything carefully, that makes a lot more sense doesn't it?
With the new set of coords I made my way to GZ, unfortunately it was raining so I reached for my brolly only to notice it wasn't in the car and that's when I realised I left it at one of the previous caches, so I had to travel back to retrieve it. Dammit!
Take 2
Now that I have the brolly back in hand lets try that again shall we. I arrived at my parking spot and wandered down the trail towards GZ, spotted the likely hide straight away, wandered over to have a look and bingo! The cache was in hand.

I had looked at this puzzle some many months ago and had a d’oh! moment when I realised what I needed to do here. Today we were out in this area and decided to take a detour and parked the car not too far away. It was a lovely and not long walk into GZ where we soon found what we were seeking. It does pay to follow all instructions carefully.

Out for the day with nikid1 collecting some caches to get some souvenirs. Back from our hilly walk collecting a few caches on the other side of the car park & onto this one. Thought we might have to walk around the paths but there was a very well placed bridge for us to walk across straight to the cache. Had solved this one a while ago, really liked the concept.

April Fool's LOL … what better day to head out & hobble up & down torturous bush trails looking for Tupperware in the bush?
Our second for the day.
Totally loved the puzzle.
I had seen similar several times over the years so knew straight away what to do.
Quick solve, put on the 'To Find' list for later … as it turned out MUCH LATER!
For us, today was clean up day in this small parcel of bushland.
I think we got the closest parking spot to GZ.
A short walk where we met a young lady walking with her doberman, so nice to see an animal that hasn't been physically abused by having it's tail removed just to please man's expectations of the breed!
Anyway, I digress!
At GZ the cache was quickly.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Tuesday. Out and about whilst Mr SP was at a game of golf. The humidity and heat of today is just amazing. It was like stepping out of the car into a sauna ;( Parked the geomobile and started off up the track. Not many cars around here today, not surprisingly. Distance was counting down up until I was needing to head into the bush, but the T rating didn't indicate any bush bashing, so headed back to the parking area and saw another track that looked promising. Yep, this is the one. Came up to GZ and arrow started to spin like I was in the Bermuda Triangle so read the hint again and saw a very likely looking spot. Bingo. Cache in hand and log signed and replaced. I was amazed at the number of recent finders! All good with this cache.
This was the 1st of 4 caches found on today's trip.

Found with potatochips101 (3k) (15/09/18) as part of the JACSteam CITO event . . . and our first mystery puzzle ! Woohoooo !
Headed out with a couple of diehard cachers . . . on approaching GZ I could see potatochips101 and 4ando were headed in not quite the right direction. I quickly spotted what I thought would be an ideal hiding spot. Before the others could turn around and eyeball "my" spot, I took off and nabbed the container. Quickly logged and returned. Found while collecting rubbish this morning at the CITO event. This one has been a long time waiting. TFTC
Attending a near by event, we have had this cache, and a few other mysteries on the solved pile for a very long time, we have drove past here many times, but never seem to find the time to stop and find this cache, well, today was the day, and no excuses can be had, we are literally only 100 metres away, so off to find the hide. We were also in the company of a couple of new faces, and this was actually frannymfrog and team's first mystery cache, well done.

Impulsive as always, I'd soon Google Earthed the first coordinates and plotted how long it would take me to drive there. After an absent-minded scroll down the page, I changed my approach! All good at GZ and with the cache; now I'm off home to water what is a very parched lawn with my subterranean sprinklers from Seattle. Thanks, totalube.
Last night, one of my friends said a beautiful, beautiful thing - 'I was just thinking I haven't been geocaching with you for ages.'. So at our earliest convenience, we hit up this area today. Last time I was here, we found a koala all curled up in the fork of a tree. No such luck today, but we did find a cache or two Thanks totalube!
Just over 1000 caches ago, my daughter and I walked right passed this cache and it was solved at the time. That day we had a bush-bash from hell that even Satan wouldn’t wish on the devil and all we could focus on was getting back to the car.
When I saw how close we had come it has bugged me that it wasn’t collected that day. It has kept me up at night but Google also calls it insomnia.
When I parked in the car park I felt the immediate pain of our last visit to the area, but that could have also been caused by me slamming my testicles into the car door. Swollen, I walked back up the trail.
I was so excited to cross another frenemy cache of the list, although I was in desperate need of an ice pack. The pen and log were wedged in tighter than a geriatric wearing a G-String so I needed to get the tweezers out to assist (for the log book of course). I was happy to have this one crossed off although thinking about my grandma wearing a g-banger has me slightly alarmed. tftc

We needed an R with certain attributes for a challenge we are doing. There weren’t many around. This one was our closest. Hmm the mystery seemed to be a complicated one.. but we preserved and heeded the warning and managed to get some coordinates. This was a nice drive to a location we have never been before. All is good with the cache.

AndyCol95 were on a mission to gather all the souvenirs that were in orbit and I had been searching for caches that fit our criteria and this came up.
At first I was not sure when I was reading the instructions (because you always read the instructions before starting!) but then I changed my mind.
Okay, I can do this.
I worked it out and got the correct coordinates and it was put into our plans for after work. Now we just had to wait for the working day to be over!
Finally work finished up and we made a bee-line here to catch the last of the sunlight.
On the map there looked like there were 2 ways to head in so we parked and selected one at random.
We walked down our path of choice and found that part of it was a little over grown, but being cachers that didn't bother us. Not even in our work clothes
We made it through and as we neared GZ I spotted a nice big obvious spot on where it could be so headed in to that as it somewhat matched the hint.
After we throughly searched it we gave up, we had a look around for other possibilities.
Hmmm, that could be it ... or there.
We trundled over and tried the next spot with no luck but as we were walking towards the next one I saw it.
Ah ha!
There is something of interest.
Sure enough there it was.
I grabbed it and signed it off and replaced a little more camouflaged.

Having spent the morning of my day off caching with NyssaFlutterby and Wombles&Co, it was time for them to head back towards their homes ready for school pickup time, somwe said farewell, then I decided to grab perhaps one or two more caches before I too had to be at school to collect geokids.
This one has been on my "solved" list for a while, so it was about time I went and found it, especially as I was already in the area. I remember doing similar tests to this one in my school days and it was always funny to see who actually did follow the instructions and who didn't.
So a quick drive, followed by a little walk, and I arrived at GZ... only to not be able to find what I was after. So I widened my search, and found something that suited the clue... with a hammer rather than a cache in it
Hmmm something not right here. A quick recalculation in the field and I realised my error. Heading only a little bit further away, and I made a quick find.
Thanks for the cache totalube.

Saw this nearby puzzle as I was nearby collecting traditionals, it was also on my solved list, even better! It was supposed to be a simple 500m detour which was perfectly reasonable however I took the wrong path and ended up turning this 1.5 into about a km of intense bush bashing and a climb up and down embankments only to end up back on a path near where I started! Maybe the heat was messing with the GPS today glad to find it in the end all is well here - thanks for the fun puzzle too!
We were too early for school today and as I needed to collect one cache for the day I thought a short walk might be in order. Got a giggle over the puzzle, good thing I'm a teacher so I know to read all the instruction before starting. TFTC

Quick easy fun find. I enjoyed solving this puzzle. I struggled with finding sand and a set of scales. But all good in the end.
With a free day to play today, I headed out to find some caches I have had on the to-do list for some time. This was in the general area so it was a good chance to call in for a visit. Clever clever clever . After reading through the cache details and working out what we needed to do I gave the resident puzzler a look to see if he gets the same numbers . After Google mapping quite a few spots he had a light bulb moment and quickly got to the right numbers . Arriving in the area we were faced with some signs saying there was construction in the area . But the path was clear so we pushed on. Lots of backburning has been done in the area including the location of the cache . Thankfully the cache has miraculously survived untouched . TFTC
I had quickly looked at this puzzle some time ago and put it aside until I had more time to look at it in mire detail. A little while later, I looked at it again and found my answer. After work today, I headed to GZ, where I quickly located the cache and signed the log. TFTC
I spent the day out caching with DylB77 today, caching around Samford and Keperra bushland areas. This has been sitting in my solved puzzles list for a while. Yes, I did read instructions before starting, and it did make the solving time a whole lot quicker. Nice easy walk to the cache was also good. TFTC
Out caching for the day out with Zacgyver , mainly around Samford and Keperra bushland areas. Had a bit of a chuckle at this one. Nice leisurely stroll to the cache, whilst eating what I swear was a half cooked muesli bar.
TFTC!

I need to do some catching up, my logging is behind;
I'll write a note to let you know that I have made a find.
I'll change this note into a find when I can spare the time
To get my thoughts onto the page and finish off my rhyme.

Hahaha...this one gave me a giggle. Thankfully I am a Read-the-instructions kinda girl. Admittedly I gave a bit of a groan to start with and nearly gave it a miss but persisted and the penny dropped.
And with this one we now had totalube as a qualifier for the Know Your Local Cacher Challenge. Thanks totalube.

I had a chuckle to myself when I solved this one and luckily I had read all the instructions. I've had the coords to this one for awhile, but hadn't been able to get here until today, thanks to Miss11 needing a drop off at BP Park. The forest was lovely and it wasn't difficult to spy GZ. Thankfully there weren't any muggles nearby and I was able to sign the log - no worries here. TFTC totalube
For once I followed the instructions as directed so soon had a good set of coordinates, so that when out for an afternoon walk with my muggle brother today we had no trouble locating the cache. The logbook is a little damp but perfectly serviceable. A nice spot, I was pleased to see a Stag Fern in one of the gullies - something you definitely don't see in the equivalent Victorian forest! Had a date to intercept a deathstar and this cache was going to be collateral damage. As instructed obtained a set of coordinates that looked good. TFTC totalube
So it seems I mucked up my April challenge, by using Barb's list, so I needed to get out and find an "R" puzzle today.
First things first and head for the solved puzzles book and turn to the "R" section. Cool a couple in there, but this one has been tormenting us for a long time, so today is the day.
After working all night, I get home change and take off with Barb. Not long after leaving home the rain starts , but that won't stop me. Arrive at the first parking spot and realise I can get closer.
Head towards GZ and a short time later the cache is in hand. LOG signed, cache replaced.

Ok, I admit, I didnt read the instructions before starting... Oops. But as I was going through it, I realised.
Today I was making a find nearby and stopped off to find this one. Once I understood the intructions, I was able to use these instructions and get a final set os co-ordinates. A short walk and there was the container. TFTC totalube

Cache in good condition.
Nice spot to bring me too. I will bring the kids back here on the weekend for a walk along the track.

Todays tour brought us back over here to look for some more catweazle cache;s and on the way we spotted some other ones to.This one was quickly spotted after some carefull reading of the instructions,
I was in the area picking up some art and noticed this puzzle icon staring at me from the map. Hmm, I'll just have a little peek. Yep, if I go there and count that and then, go to that other spot and see what that is..... then stand on one leg, poke out my tongue and wave my arms like a chicken, count to ten and WAHLA!!! There is the final coords I was looking for I'm actually not that bad at following instructions.
With the final location in my sights I started off in that direction. As I came closer I noticed a likely hidey hole for the beasty. Sure enough on closer inspection there it was. Woohoo! I left my mark and then replaced the cache as it had been found.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache totalube

Got to first way-point, no problems. In moving to second, came across a sign from council stating pruning is happening and denying access to area my co-ordinates stated we needed. Will leave this one for another time. Drop Bears I can deal with, drop trees are another thing entirely!
18/10/14 in the area today doing some caching and saw this one the map. Started reading and thought no good for me too many places to go. Then I thought....maybe I could do it. So onward I 'hunted' and came up with the final coords. Reached GZ quickly and the cache was mine. TFTC and the clever puzzle, totalube.
We've been here a few times for birthdays and other cache attempts and each time we have questioned whether there is some kind of weird possibly illegal business occurring in the carpark with there always being old dudes rock up in fancy cars get out sometimes meet up with other blokes then leave very quickly:S but after reading the right instructions we cruised to an easy final cache find for the day:D#badabingbadaboomtheseblocksgozoom
