Should have read the previous logs before attempting this cache. Found an ideal hiding place for cache, but unfortunately, No cache.
Found the care worn notebook, SL and replaced. Must put a kit together to repair some of the tired caches that I come across. TFTC
Found what appears to be a small log book in a poor state, barely legible entries, but no sign of the pill box. Replaced in the higher, not too obvious position. Nice little park. TFTC
1-4-1 Family. Here to have our year end Childrens get together. Lovely park. No container only paper and had no pencil so wasn't able to record name. Hope can restore as great cache. Thanks
I didn't find the container, but I did find a small notebook with some familiar names in it. It obviously hasn't rained much in Christchurch lately as I was able to record proof of my visit on the dry paper. Regretfully, I didn't have any containers with me, let alone one small enough to rest in what I think is the intended hiding place.
It looks like the owner is no longer an active cacher. Hopefully, a future searcher will read the logs first (unlike me) and bring a small container with them; a pill container or film canister should work fine. It would be good to keep this cache going as it seems like a very nice park for the geocaching community to visit.

Found the log sodden on the ground so wasn't able to sign. Placed back in tree but it will need to be replaced. TFTC
We found this in a sorry state - just the log note minus the pill case. The log note paper was very soggy
Found after a bit of trouble with tree shielding gps signal, container missing, soggy notebook found only- needs replacing as too wet to write in
Nice easy find in a great park. Cache rather wet inside, needs some form of waterproofing.
very nice park and a nice quick find in a same spot as another I found earlier today. Log book is beyond using so left a new piece of paper with room for others as well. TFTC
Found on a quick romp to the park with the little mermaids. Log very wet so didn't sign. TFTC
Cool find, nice place, log book is soaked so couldnt log it Found with turpies, Took travel bug

Quick walk from the motel going backwards & forwards around the side streets to get there.
Lovely park. Lots of earthquake damage all around.
Thanks for the cache.

Knew this cache was here but had been waiting for junior cachers to join me find it. A week off school due to the quake was the perfect opportunity!

27/08/10 9:16 AM Find #172 in a nice old park that I haven't visited in a long time. Good day for a walk too, thanks for bringing me here.
THe log book is soaked and could do with drying / replacing and putting in plastic bag - many thanks
Nice spot - thanks for bringing us here. Quick find, but, as with last comments, the log book is damp and starting to breakdown!

Put it back in the upper area. Found it in the lower one.
Log book QUITE wet.

On the way to meet friends for coffee; did I have time for another cache? Fun to find this & somehow miss the dog-walking muggles. TFTC.
Thankfully had the tool with us, me a little challanged to nab this one without attracting attention!
Thanks for the cache (memorial).

Obviously we bring McPhan for a good reason, and he is thereby known as our caching tool. Need I say more? Thanks for a cool hide!
Every caching team should have a useful gadget for exploring in holes out of reach - but we just use McPhan. I think all my Aussie caching mates were more comfortable putting their hands into dark holes in NZ where they definitely wouldn't do that in Australia. Nasty things live in holes over there! Found the Wally cache and did the signing bizzo, thanks Wallyfish.
Not sure about Wally, but we found the cache and that was the main thing.
Thanks for another cache where McPhan came in useful.......sort of.

3135. [font=Comic Sans Ms][green]Mrs Winglen had a shocked look on her face as all she heard of the conversation after the find was "Have a good feel." Priceless and had to explain quickly why I had said that. And another where the clue doesn't, upon reading make a lot of sense to someone my height.

A rainy day in the park today, so no muggle issues. Quickly zeroed in on GZ with good coords. TFTC, Biggles.
Here for the Australia New Zealand College of Anaesthetists annual scientific meeting. Finding caches ahs been an excellent distraction between lectures.
A stunningly beautiful autumn day enhanced by a guitar player and singer playing nearby. I've been here before a long time ago. A lovely park. Thanks for bringing me here again. Hatas
Park was a wonderful surprise. We were geo biking, visiting from Auckland on hire bikes for Easter. Our 1st turn off St Alban's was a dead end and the 2nd had me thinking "wrong again" when the lovely rose garden appeared leading to the long reserve with beautiful old trees. Easy to find the cache with the hints but the park is well used so had to wait for the right time. Wish all caches were as nice. NINO TFTC
Easy find, although there were plenty of 4 legged muggles and a few two legged varieties about too. Trying to act inconspicuously. TFTC
This was mugglesville - council workers, dog walkers and croquet players playing over an extended area. Finally we got a clear path and made a quick find. TFTC
#1775 Had to wait for a couple of muggles to pass through but then it was plain sailing. TNLN TFTC DS8300
I've always liked this park. We've had a couple of kid's birthday parties there. Thanks!
First cache found on a quiet Sunday morning in a park that I used to bring the kids to when they were younger - and we didn't know this cache was there!
Found this one....No.3 (Still on one-a-day every day since we got our unit). What a lovely 69 year old park - didn't realise it was as large, or so pretty - TFTC
Nice easy cache and a really nice wee park. Part of the park was created for blind people with a scented garden
Nice little park. Gave a couple of muggles a fright when they walked past and we were just standing there doing nothing at all, they were obviously wondering what we were up to.

Over from UK so logged visit when I returned. This was one of four caches picked up around Christchurch, this made for a very pleasant walk around a very attractive city. TFTC and the walk.
I have always wanted to know the answer to this question and now I know thanks.TNLNSL
Well talk about muggle central - dogs, kids, older people, overseas muggles, balls - on spotting the possable GZ I hide to get the prize. TFTC
A quick find on my way home from work, a nice park to spend some time in. I suspect the container isn't waterproof actually.
Took the dogs for a walk with Grandma and found the cache. Grandma was very excited - this was her first find, she thinks this game is neat. TNLN
Have dried out the container and replaced the log book with a temporary one, as the owner is overseas. Nice little park. Need to take a pencil as there isn't one in this micro. TFTC.
Since April 10 people have been logging that this cache is wet and the log is soaked and needs replacing. It is completely unusable, which is clearly indicated in many logs. I suggest the cache owner either fix the problem, or archive the cache.
Had some free time this afternoon from our study abroad program. Walked forever (or so it seemed) to get to the neighborhood and then finally found the park. Very nice area. Enjoyed the stream running through. Found cache and attempted to sign log -- not very clear. Log is very wet and needs replacing. Thanks for bringing me to this area and getting me out of just the downtown.
Log still wet so didn't remove. Plumbers tape on screwband needs renewing to waterproof container.
Found it ok. The log was so wet I didn't bother to try unraveling it. Really enjoyed the park though!
Like Troodles, I was fearful of pulling the log out of the cache container. The log looks like it is a snug fit in the container and I think that after a month of being wet, the log will fall to pieces if someone tries to pull it out. However, a plastic bag should prevent the next log from getting wet. Cheers.
Brought back a lot of good memories returning to this lovely park as have spent a lot of time here when our boys were young.
Didn't even attempt to remove log from container as it was saturated. The lid doesn't seem to screw on properly.

And that's it. Back to reality - time to collect the kid from the square after the "invisible children" event. 'Twas nice to have a morning caching in Chch. Thanks.
Neat park..
Id say the hiding place has filled with rain water and container has been submerged. Too wet to write in the book so signed and left my own page.
