Second day of a weekend in the Wairarapa and our first cache today. We've never been down this side of the Ruamahanga River and Lake Onoke and are enjoying the drive and occasional walks very much. TFTC.
On a weekend adventure with Heidi the Himalayan, my ADV bike.
I mmaayy have scared off a muggle by accident.. probably an unnerving thing to have a motorcyclist pass upu only to do a U-turn and pretty much come back to you Sorry muggle-folk!

A super quick find here, Mr Geckoh was barely out of the van and he had the cache in hand and was signing the log. TFTC

We had just completed the “Wairarapa Moana” Ad Lab and were picking up some traditional caches following that. Found this one reasonably quickly. #5571. TFTC.
yes we were on the way to ocean beach having not been there before. As we got to the top of the rise we stopped and i located the cache easily enough and soon had it signed and replaced and it wasn't until our returning trip that i saw the even more spectacular view and took a panarama photo of it . thank you for this cache and all was well here .
Found soon after setting off on day three of our bike ride, now heading for Ocean beach. Glad of a stop here at the top of the hill to catch our breath and enjoy the stunning views. All good with this one, thanks Post33.
My family and I were going off for a trip for the weekend down and around the area so during the weekend I thought it would be a good idea to find a few geocaches and get myself up to 500.
Woke up early so I could go for a morning run and see the sunrise (and maybe pick up a few geocaches as well). Thoroughly exhausted afterwards but great views and I found two geocaches.
Decided I would go this far then turn back. It ended up being way longer than it looked on the map, but I had fun. Nice easy find, but very exposed so it was hard to act casual when a couple cars of muggles passed by. TFTC!!

Final find of our trip to this side of the hill. A nice quick find in the expected place. Cache in excellent condition. TFTC.
A quick find on a cold day, after dining on Infoferret’s Mum’s yummy carrot cake. Cheers Post33, on to Ocean Beach! Addendum: Lies! I clambered up the bank with GSEL, and helped search for the cache, but did scurry back once the signing was done.
#7957. After weeks of COVID19 lock downs and restricted regional travel, it was great to be back out on the road and doing some geocaching once again. I picked up Barefootguru and Infoferret and we headed over the hill to mop up a few straggler caches left behind in the southern Wairarapa after various past road trips in this area. The weather was a rather bleak and cold late autumn day with chilly fresh winds from the south and a few skiffs of light rain/drizzle at times.
Carried on up the hill and parked near this cache. Infoferret was gas-bagging away on the phone and BFG claimed to have already done this one - but see log below - clearly a cunning move to avoid the bitterly cold wind. So there was nothing for it but to get out of the car and go and find the cache myself. Some days you have to do all the work. Scrambled up the bank and soon spied the cache in its little nook. Some nice views from along this road. Been more than 25 years since I was last down this stretch of road. Cache was all good. Signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache Post33.

A team find by BFG and GSEL as I got called just as we were leaving our lunch spot. Surprised there is reception down here! Anyway, any excuse to stay in the car out of the wind and answer geocaching questions on their behalf. TFTC
(# 5181). A day trip to the 'Rapa. Decided to go around the lake. A quick find. Everything in order. What great views are to be had from the GZ. TFTC
Ok the last place I thought to get muggled oops! Local farmer would have wondered why anyone would stop here. TFTC
Tried a few locations before finding the cache. Needed the GPS. Beautiful view! TFTC
Spent the weekend at Corner Creek, and collected some caches on the trip home. Great view from here, found after checking a few of the options. TFTC.
Last time the weather was atrocious and we didn't find it - this time it was less bad and we quickly found in the obvious place. Not sure how we missed it last time .........
Fun puzzle - thanks tmann421
Quick find at GZ. LoG pretty damp - dried container and log as best as able. Tried scrawling name on log - ended up leaving a new inner and waterproof logsheet, will hold on to original for CO if required.
Thanks for another smilie

Thanks for placing the cache. I’m on a mission to boost my numbers and Tiki tour the Wairarapa this weekend.
Quick find. Glorious day. No clouds and no wind. Spectacular views and landscape. Tftc
Cripes - what a windy spot. After struggling up the hill with our camping gear on our mountainbikes, we kept getting blown sideways and the wind coming over the crest of the hill made forward progress almost impossible. This was a good excuse to stop without any dents to our ego, but sadly we were unable to find it despite the fairly explicit hint. Will keep an eye out for future finds and return one day (either in a car or a less windy day)
Day two of a two-day caching trip in southern Wairarapa. With staying the night here at Corner Creek Camp, an early morning find on my out. Good views from here Thanks skindo for the cache.
Cycling the Rimutaka cycle trail and caching with trampingkiwi.
Day 2, Corner creek camp to Cross creek. A very windy day! Head wind most of the day.
Whew! Got to the top of the hill. Magnificent view! TFTC!

Collecting as many caches as possible on our three days on the Rimutaka Cycle Trail. After starting today at Corner Creek Camp and coming along the beach, this was a big hill to push the bikes up. Found with Lilywyte. TFTC
Collecting a few caches while over in the Wairarapa.
A nice quick find and lovely views.

Amazing views up here today. A nice quick despite the road suddenly becoming busy just as I get out of the car. TFTC
Easy find, although took a couple seconds longer than it should have as I read the hint before leaving the car! TFTC
Nice easy find. Not exactly 2m away from the post! Thanks!

Found on day 2 of a 2 day Scout/Venturers bike ride over the Incline and around the Wairarapa Coast with Metal-Art and Jax479. TFTC
Someone has solved the issue of fence climbing so a nice easy find and enjoying our voyage. No 6
An adventure to the Wild Coast track. Found on the way.
Nice straightforward and easy find on this one.
All in order, log signed; cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

No view today as the mist had descended...
I left with the geokids early this morning for my first foray into skindoland, on an attempt to qualify for the 100,10,7 challenge in one day. Unfortunately I did not achieve this (but qualified with my previous few days' finds). All in all, I achieved my best day's hunting, collecting 61 traditionals, 20 mystery caches including 4 challenge caches, and one virtual. Many thanks to all the cache owners and players who make this game/hobby what it is (and apologies for the copy and paste).

Over in the 'Rapa for a Scouting weekend with Venturers. Had the chance to skive off and do a bit of exploring, and caching. Had tried for this earlier in the year when under some time pressure with a group of cycling Scouts - and had no luck. My advice would be "you don't need to climb the fence" and look for the simplest option (the clue is currently misleading).
Good views from up here.
TFTC!

Nice easy cache. Up the bank eyeing up the rather substancial fense only to find I didn't have to climb it to reach the cache. The weather had calmed down by the time we had got here and the sky cleared. Several cyclists looked to be heading for the big coast ride. TFTC
Cache # 1,697 - GPS initially pointed into the middle of a private field. Hit refresh and suddenly it was right next to us. A quick find after that. Did today with Violet Butterfly and Astro Hunter. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Found today with Wandering Dragons and Violet Butterfly. Interesting spot - not one I think I would have chosen. Thanks.

Out in the Wairarapa with Etherlord and the Etherkids on day two of an Attack on Skindo's Translation Puzzles weekend. Nice find in a nice area. Kinda glad that we haven't finished this area off, so will have to come back one day. Grabbed a TB.
cache 21 on day two of Etherlord and the Seagnoid's almost-100-cache-"Attack on Skindo's Puzzles" weekend in the Wairarapa. #66 for me

Great spot for some photos which i will post when i get home to my main computer.
Thanks for placing cache here.
Lots of traffic on the road today - think there was something happening in the area or maybe it was just a typical sunny sat and everyone wanted to go to Ocean beach.

In my case, it was on the way from Ocean Beach. I found the cache but it had a lot of water in it and the logbook was very difficult to write in. I tipped the water out but I don't think the container is quite up to the job. Great views from this spot.
Out for another adventure in skindoland which incuded a loop of the lake as well as a mystery tour. A nice location with a great view along the coast. The container had water in it and the log was quite wet. TFTC
Found this cache with Kiwi Explorer on a most enjoyable and productive three day caching raid in the Wairarapa. Apologies in advance for the rather template state of this log. We found over 200 caches in our visit which has left me with rather vague and blurred memories of some of them. Anything that really stood out will get a special mention. Found on the way to or from, depending on your perspective. Quite a busy road today too. TFTC, Biggles.
Found while touring the district with Biggles. Found it on our way from the beach today. Thanks.
Sure are some nice views from here. A quick find and we are back On the way to Ocean Beach. Thanks.

It was a beautiful sunny day, so the views were most enjoyable here. Glad that it was dry underfoot, else would have been a slippery, slidey trip back down the bank.
TFTC.

A quick find as K kicked it with her foot. Didn't really like the fact we had to go on private land, felt a bit conspicuous! NINO TFTC
Too many locals driving past us on their quads looking at us funny. One local stopped and enquired what we were doing as we were on private land - it did say to climb the fence after all.
A quick find this morning on the way to hunt out the other caches around Ocean Beach. Nice views on a fine day. I chanced to look up while I had the cache open and there were about 30 cows all lined up and standing still on the other side of a nearby fence watching what I was doing. Signed log, TFTC!
