Decided to collect a couple of caches on the way home from the transfer station.
Found the "bishop" but couldn't find the cache, or even the magnets that the previous cacher mentions. Climbed over the railing, to the delight of the gathering ducks, and had a good look to check I wasn't missing something.
No luck. Perhaps this one has taken a swim with the turtles?

Found after visiting Nudgee Beach, well what we could see of a beach. We really loved this spot, there were indeed mighty ducks of many varieties. Fish and turtles swam together. Also a head intrigued us as it disappeared into the sand. Poor Aussie Mark got a shock to see a one metre long eel reappear out of the sand. Eels are not his favourite thing. TFTC.
This is a great area on the bike, nice and flat.....except for the head wind coming off the bay Another wingaap cache.
I think I've passed 90 of your caches now sir. Might have to make an extra effort to make it to 100.

Well, I'm having a fowl of a day. First a chook and some Birdies and other creatures, then Water fowl and now some Mighty Ducks ... and a few turtles by the way ... I like turtles! I love the hint to this one, very neat. thanks wingaap.
Very clever hide, we enjoyed that. Passed this way often along the Gateway and never knew this watering hole existed, what a lovely haven for the duckies. TNLNSL TFTC.
Found at dusk with Amber-Son. Nice hide for the cache. Plastic baggie needs replacing. Took frog, left flower.
Again beaten to it by Daniel-son on a late afternoon hunt before collecting Geo-son from Daycare. Nice spot - very nice indeed. Took toy frog for Geo-son and left signature item.
Quick find today by Garfield69au & the Downey Clan!
Cache was lying very exposed so repositioned hopefully in the right place.
TFTC as usual wingaap!

No-one around today and even the ducks ignored me so I had the place to myself. Easy find. The cache is visible from the path on the opposite side of the water hole.

I really liked the placement of this cache, and so did the ducks! Flocking to where we stood, I figured the signs advising people not to feed the birds must have been regularly ignored. I also enjoyed reading the informative signs of the history, and I was happy that the muggle who arrived as I was signing the log decided to nick off so I could replace the cache safely. TFTC! =^.^=
Found this one. A couple of muggles around but I managed to get the cache without being seen. I also managed to get a photo of a couple of ducks with the Bird Watcher TB. TFTC.

This was the second cache of 21 for the day in the company of Radnoski on my four day fly in fly out visit to celebrate with my good friend La Kedi as today was her last day of Uni, we were off to Moreton Island tomorrow. The ducks were waiting for us as we neared GZ they sure were friendly. My thanks to Mongy (adopted by Wingaap) for the cache.
I was in the area with Rebel Acts doing some caching.
The ducks came and greeted us as we approached the cache. Mr Acts was too slow to pick one up but gave it a go anyway.
Thanks for the cache Mongy and Wingaap.
While signing the log one of those pesky cache dwelling frogs hopped on in.

My last cache for the day, my last for this Australia visit. I arrived early for the airport so went up to Nudgee Beach for a look at the sea, then came down here for a quick clean cache and grab. There was a very large spider web in the place where I guessed the cache would be so I had to stretch and take a look to minimise the chances of disturbing Charlotte.
Nice easy cache. The Turtles were very interested in watching what I was doing. I think I paid the penalty for not having DEET on... a few red marks showing up on my hands as I type this. A trade off... stink for 24 hours flying back to the UK or get a bite or two... hmmm...

Nice easy find as we admired the said ducks..and fish...and turtles. Thanks wingaap
Found 9.10am Heading south to Port Macquarie after visiting friends in Brisbane we required a toilet and coffee stop. After visiting macca's we checked nearby caches and liked the look of this one. Ducks and a swan floated by to check us out and cache was soon in hand. What a pleasant spot to start the day. Tftc

A nice walk over from the eateries and a pond full of ducks! And a good hide too, thanks.
Beautiful day, muggles everywhere enjoying the sunshine. Had to stealth. Accosted by friendly ducks!!! TFTC
Found it easily when we figured out how to use the iPhone correctly :p

The mighty ducks were not pleased at the lack of foresight to bring them food. Had quite the audience to watch me log my visit.
1:30 PM Wow there is so many ducks. It was a nice find. Just had to wait for all the muffles to leave to zero in on the cache. I have stopped here so many times for lunch before I started caching it is a great place to stop.
Found easily during a quick stop to break up my trip north. Great spot here, and a nice hide. TFTC
Nice little stop on the way home from work. Of course it started raining the moment I stepped out of the car but I soldiered on and found what I was looking for. Nice hide. The ducks arrived as I was replacing, looking for a feed - sorry not this time.
Found by Mary & David at 1030. All a bit Monet's water lilies and bridge. The ducks appeared as if by magic. Our thanks once more to Wingaap.
Grabbed some lunch from the local shopping area. MMMMM
took the kids to the park to eat and cache.
Have driven past this one so many time and wanted to grab it but either didnt have the time or the GPSr
well stopped in and had lunch, then a muggle family came to return a turtle to the lake. I thought they were looking for th cache and were fellow cachers but they had a shoe box.

After reading the hint it was a matter of how quickly we could get to the spot to grab the cache. Alkzura and I had this one signed and back in place in the blink of an eye. TFTC
Nice easy find. our last for the day. LSB1 had a great time looking at the turtles and ducks...we had a hard time dragging her away.

Found this one without the help of a GPS and taking directions from my mate Sniffme who had found this one a few weeks ago.
Found with Triamks at 5pm. I was taking a photo of the water dragon while Triamks grabbed the cache. Nice place. TFTC.
Seventh find of the day with Shell-A at 17:00. Lots of wildlife out this afternoon, will post photos later. TFTC.

A fairly quick easy find but not for me this time. My phone GPS was taking me in the opposite direction but Mrs Simia got a lock with her Garmin and went straight to it.

We almost went home after the last cache, but when i saw this one on the list from Mr Simia, I knew immediately where we must be off to, having grown up around this area.
It only took us a few minutes to locate the cache after I decrypted the hint and we decided to call it a night having found 9 from 10 caches, not too bad for a few rainy hours we thought.
A bit of a story, not cache related, is that I'm sure when this area was being restored, I remember seeing a crane almost completely submerged in the waterhole. Can anyone else remember seeing this?

[As I approached the car park another car got in ahead of me and parked as near to GZ as you can get. Wet miserable day as it was I should have had the place to myself - they should have been at home not sitting there for ages spoiling my searching. Had to leave and come back later. Worth it though, great spot, good hide, interesting hint.] Not for the fumble fisted!

I parked next to a garbage truck of all things and when I get out of the car, I noticed that the truck was moving forward - through the steel barrier! The barrier now has a sharp bend in it, and the truck has a quite deformed bumper bar! Anyway, when I got to gz it took me a few minutes to figure out where the cache must be - but once the penny dropped, of course it was there. Great hide in a great spot - the ducks are fairly placid.
TFTC.
Very Quiet little spot, muggle free on a saturday morning. Will bring the geokids back to feed the ducks again soon.
Poor ducks thought they were going to get a feed. Noticed there was a bit of money in the water (1.40), in small change. Not sure why.

A picturesque area in suburbia, we were greeted by various varieties of ducks and LeadNinja was quick to locate the prize. Enjoyed our lunch here then moved on to the next cache. TFTC.
I love this area and the ducks are very friendly although I didn't have any treats for them.
Upon reflection the cache was found very easily.
Thanks for the cache

We were greeted by the ducks only sorry we didn't have any bread, they found my shoes interesting though. Another quick find by Leadninja. TFTC
Brilliant. Love the ducks and aren't they HUGE? Love the history. Nobody here today except us ducks so retrieving cache no problemo. Will upload photos later.
I'd swear that the cache has moved since I was last here. I enjoyed the relative tranquility this time around.
The cache was in full view, but with a couple VERY interested in the wildlife and the information boards, no grab was possible. Will need to return.
This was really clever and a different find to the other 2 we have found so far. Great idea.
Found after a hard days playing flog (wouldn't called it golf after that score ). Had to wait until a few muggle munchkins dissapeared to put it back. Love the scary turtles swiming around the ducks.

Thanks Mongy and Wingaap - the Nudgee Waterhole was certainly full of ducks this morning - both domestic and wild ducks - and they aren't particularly worried about humans. Nice hide..

This place is amazing! And so close to the gateway! The resident duckies (and moorhens) were so curious and friendly. Even managed to catch sight of a large tortoise and black swan. Cache was a tricky little thing but found it eventually. TFTC and showing us this magical spot.
Found today with The Byway Rambler at about 2:45pm. What a lovely spot. How lucky was I? No muggles turned up until I'd done my deed and signed the log and was returning to the car. Pencil is broken, needs replacement or sharpening. Sorry I didn't have a replacement or a sharpener with me. Clever hide. TFTC. SL
Came today with Aussie Liahona. We found the cache about 2:45pm. It's a lovely park and the ducks are beautiful. TFTC. SL
A great little spot that I've driven past countless times. Found without much trouble. TFTC
