Last day down this part of the US and decided on a day of Earthcaches and Virtuals.....

Came out to Cave Hill and had a great time wandering (and driving) around. Visited all the earthcaches and virtuals, as well as Col Sanders and Patty Hill, although I didn't know they were here until I picked up a local map. Visited a few others that I don't know, but after reading about them, was glad that I did.

All up, a great few hours.

Gathered the required info, took photo's and my E-mail with my answers has been sent.

Thanks for this one ARF.....Fav point added.

Love to visit this place... it is really a beautiful setting. Lots of history here, the military grave area is very moving. Thanks for giving us the tour and learning some geology, too.

I was near here a year ago. I logged the two caches nearby at the cave. Limited time did not allow me to explore much more. Today, Renee and I took in the area and enjoyed. Thanks for the EC.

Found on a beautiful afternoon before leaving Louisville heading to W. KY. Attended the KY State Fair where Falcon 22 had participated in the Country Ham Curing/Speech competition. Proud to say in his age division he placed 5th for speech, 5th for cured ham and 2nd overall. Yes, i'm a proud mom.
Enjoyed the cemetery. We had been here before but the gates had been locked. I had heard Col. Sanders was buried here so we wanted to check it out. Loved how the guard told us to find his resting place (we had to draw a line to it, so follow the white solid line until it turns into a yellow solid line then continue to follow until it comes to an end) sure enough his directions took us right there!

This was the last cache in the cemetery for us today. I wish we had more time to do them all, but there will be other days I am sure when we can complete the others. When we got to gz here we saw a large egg floating in the water and a huge white swan that was being fed by some small kids. There were quite a few people in the area today enjoying the weather and the tranquility here today. We snapped a picture and found the answers that we needed for this cache and then we started our journey home. tftec e-mail sent.

Who would have thought a cemetery would be more beautiful than a park? Will have to return to grab some others in this place. Definite favorite.

Second day of an ambitious caching schedule to get 12 specific caches for 8 different challenges and to grab 2 challenge finals while in town to attend my 35th high school reunion. (Go Tigers of St. X!) Of course I grabbed a few extras, but had to be really disciplined (which is not easy for me).

Out caching in Indiana and Kentucky today. Doing earthcaches, letterbox's and virtuals. Weather is a bit humid, but another great day for caching. This was a fun cache. Thanks for bringing me to this area.

Stopped here as part of our journey through Cave Hill today. I learned alot from all of these ECs about the geology of this area. Thank you so much for taking the time to put these together. This is a beautiful place and I really enjoyed myself.

Before coming to Cave Hill Cemetery, I had never heard of Karst topography! Thank you for taking the time to put these very well constructed Earthcaches together. BearTerritory, Rachell and I learned a lot because of them. TFTC!

Nicely educational. I forgot to take the pic as described, but I did take a pic of the fountain which I will post. The answers have been sent to the CO.

Thanks!
