GPS was bouncing around abit then we reached around and managed to find it. log Is quite wet tho. Tftc
Came today for a look but seems it hasn't been logged since Nov 16. Maybe needs CO to come check? Will come back after verification.
Nice walk along the river to find this cache. Bit wet underfoot but we managed to dodge the puddles. TFTC
GPS is taking me the long way home for the Mega. Finding lots of great caches on the way. TFTC
Backtracked to the seat and re-read the clue. I think I'm beginning to get the hang of this! TFTC.
Once we stopped looking for a seat we retraced our steps we found where the seat used to be. Took a bit of hunting but got there. Thanks!
2nd attempt in this one. Didn't want to log a DNF. Had better geocaching eyes today! TFTC.
Took a bit of searching. The seat you mention for admiring the view of the river is no longer there. TFTC
Tricky one to find on Daddy, James and Daniels most excellent Geocaching adventure. The LED on my mobile phone helped find it! There was no mobile coverage for the app on my iPhone. Luckily I brought my Garmin with us! TFTC
This cache was published about the same time that I took up geocaching and I printed out the description a few months later with the intention of searching for the cache on a visit to Taranaki. For various reasons, despite several visits, I hadn't got around to attempting this cache. I decided today was the day even though the weather was not good. I made my way to ground zero okay but it took me a few minutes to work out that the seat was no more. However, I could see where it had been so I could at least narrow down the search area. Initially, I thought I was looking for something bigger as the cache description text refers to a small container. I found a cavity which fitted the hint and would have nicely accommodated a small container so I was concerned the cache may having been missing especially since the previous log was a DNF. I then realised it could be a different sized container after all so I changed to micro mode and found it quite quickly despite it being well concealed. Thanks for bringing me to this very nice location.
Found where seat was but only two posts there now. Couldnt find cache. Nice walk though.
Nice spot. But yea a big part of the clue is missing. Still found it pretty quickly. TYFTC
Found it! Clue was helpful, some creative thinking and voila! Lovely little spot, will explore further. Found with muzzmo14 and Osbourneroadoddballs.
Nice to visit this place after many years away. Last time we came to this area it was for a friends wedding and it was weird not to see the building there any longer.
This was number number 5 for the day - challenge is to hit double figures.
We went with Muzzmo14 and Evisser8 to find this one. The bush walk was lovely and the river as well. We found the location and despite major part of the clue missing we knew exactly what and where we should be looking. Took longer to actually find it but it was in the area we thought it should be which was great. Definitely had our caching mojo in full gear today - somedays (as you might know) it just doesn't go as smoothly. Thanks for the cache and for bringing me back to the area.

Only had phone for navigation and as this is a no coverage area made it very difficult. Searched for the big Rimu tree, thinking it would be well posted, but no, and no seat so very unsuccessful. But did have a good walk and it was nice and cool on such a hot day.
This one proved difficult, but we found it. A good scout around for 20 mins and we nearly gave up, but we got there in the end. The clue is very useful. However, the bench seat is no longer there.
We think we found the right spot. Seat has only got supports left and couldn't see mountain so unsure. Will come back sometime.
Took a minute but I got it. Lovely spot. Wish I had time to walk further. cheers from casa del hince TFTC
Had us stumped for a while. The 5 kids in tow gave up, but the adults are far more stubborn and finally spotted it. TFTC
on our long holiday to taranaki and back to gisborne, a loop track.nice river, great park.

We found the broken seat, but not the geocache. Too many places for a micro to hide. Boo hoo
I finally found it today. (Woohoo moment!) Cache is in a ripped plastic bag, but log in the cache isn't and is somewhat damp. I've rebagged the log in a fresh bag. I suspect it may have crept from its original hide, as it was just stuck under some vegetation rubbish - not much of a hide! No matter, finally got it. Put it back where I found it. GPS bounces off the bank and wants to send seeker down the bank nearer the river, but that doesn't work in with description or hint. Would've liked to seen the original cache as that sounds interesting. TFTC.
No luck for me today... Found a likely hidey place, but nothing there. Seat broken at GZ. Nice walk, but shame they removed Burgess House.

After getting rained out on a summit attempt on Taranaki, I decided to explore a few neighboring caches. Thanks for bringing me here. Previously I have just blasted pase on the road without stopping. Nice riverside walk. Water levels up from the recent rains. Cheers for the cache.
Found a hole. Found a pen nothing else but thank you for bringing us to a beautiful spot
26 degrees and only November, had a koeye with 3 guys on a air bed coming downstream. Tftc Blenheim Bear
this cache has been my nemesis, and have finally found it.
was an easy find today but have visited many times

now that the house has gone and the cache had new coordinates i gave this one another hit.TFTC
Easy find, seat looks a bit dodgy, carried on around track, nice trees.Signed log TFTC
After an evening meal by the river we went for a walk around the loop track. We overshot the cache at first, because we were looking for the old rimu, but once we realised where we were supposed to be we soon found it. Signed log, and left an Irish 1p as company for the Welsh badge.
Thanks for the cache, this was another nice spot we hadn't been to before.

En route, New Plymouth to Wellington. This looked like a suitable suspect, so dropped in here from our spaceship for a cache experience.
Not to be disappointed, the cache beamed itself up into our hands on command and this was very satisfying.
With our hands on the cache the log got signed, condition checked - all OK - and then safely re-hidden.
Cachers then on their way to their destination. All good!
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

After attending a meeting, which was the real reason I came to New Plymouth I had time to find a couple of quick caches before heading home. What a lovely walkway by the river. TFTC
Came for a walk here on the way south from New Plymouth this morning. No problems finding the cache, and a very pleasant spot. Signed log, TFTC.
Took a little while to find the hiding place amongst the creepy crawlies but great fun! TFTC
Parked the campervan for an overnight stay at "where two waters meet". A lot of people swimming and enjoying the sun. I just went for a walk to pick this one up. Unfortunately a DNF for me, after a long, long search.
Hi from Tauranga... Always interesting to see where the trail leads. Lovely area and not too wet underfoot. Cache soon found. TFTC
Sneaky little hiding spot - well done!!! Lots of mud and puddles around - all terrain boots recommended at present......
TFTC.

A change in tactics here, the original cache too big was muggled, so a small cache further in to encourage people to explore the park.
Obviously it has been disabled since i loaded it on to the gps and today when we went
and spent an hour at least looking for it but many thanks all the same hope you relist it soon

Last cache of the day and a no show I had a good poke about, but I fear it may be gone or buried under a pile of leaf/branch matter.
No sign of the cache, the area looks like its had a tidy up.
Disabled while we ponder the solution

Myself and johnyoung had a good 30 minute search for this one but to no avail. What we did find was a child's plastic block in the bush near the cache site... wondered if the cache had maybe been muggled?
Looked and looked - followed all the clues. Did find a toy block on the side of the bush around the appropriate site - maybe a sign of it having been muggled???
Missed the directions given here so it was sort of a random find. Got it in good time. TFTC.
Sadly was a DNF for me - it was a bit late in the day, and there wasn't enough light under the trees to see much. Will try again next time I'm down this way - but at a brighter time of day!
I really like the idea of this cache! There were many small games inside, unfortunately we didn't have one to swap! Thanks, v.c.
Pleased to say the cache is still there.
No coin though - just a pathtag - 598734 - which I took.
I was determined to find this one as saw that RedIguana, a prolific cacher also from Christchurch, had a DNF. Had tried using the GPS and 23 paces when I thought to use man-sized paces. Bingo!

Came here just before dusk and had a good hunt but wasn't able to find it. Had a good hunt in the bush, but wasn't able to come up with the cache. Cheers Gav
Despite the size of the container and a really good search, we still couldn't find it.
