The information sign has had some information painted over making it difficult to answer the questions. The Better Half and I also think that the second set of questions no longer seemed to be in place.
I picked up a few prickles in my head trying to return this cache to its hiding spot. It’s getting a little bit overgrown. I enjoyed this little multi nonetheless. Thank you misschief18 for placing and maintaining Ballan Heritage - Mixed Media for us to find today.
After a huge weekend Jenno3 and I changed our plans for today and headed this way instead. This multi has been searched for numerous times over the years! Today we walked straight to it and had our names on the log in no time! The prickles created a few more pierced holes, but with no jewellery to put in the holes we wiped away our tears and decided we’d be better off to leave that to the professionals, lol! Happy to have finally found this one. Tnln replaced where and as found. Tftc
Omg!!!!! Finally!!!! Don’t know how many times I had been here to look for this one. Kenare and I decided to try for some long sitting ones and kenare today walked straight to it…. With the evading of several prickles we finally got the smile for this one tftc

After a tree planting in Bacchus Marsh and paying homage to the Legend that is tackle_head, I took a walk around Ballan.
This was a good place to start, with a fairly quick smiley.
Thanks, Kinkell1, and misschief18.

Sums done and double checked but my search was Initially a DNF almost gave up then while working out where to walk to next for ad lab I happened to look in one more place saw something and thought surely not..ok hands and knees I go cha Ching another golden oldie cache located.
My plan for today was to kayak at Pykes Creek - despite only solving 2 of the 6 puzzle caches.
I was gutted when I arrived (1hr drive without caching!) in a really strong wind that was whipping up the water into big waves. I'm currently training for the kayak event at VPESG in March but these conditions were not conducive to building on my fitness!
It was ultimately an easy, but disappointing, decision to leave my kayak on the roof.
I've been through Ballan a few times but only ever stopped for coffee - I did that today too!!
I initially had the wrong coords after writing a number down wrong - funnily enough I was searching in the same environment as GZ - just an entire block away!!
Once back on track I had to resort to the hint & then questioned my understanding of corner Many thanks

Nice temple.
November 2022. Time for the second Victorian Mega of the year. This time in Whittlesea. What is it with W's? Time for another epic road trip. Who will join our merry crew? We traveled from South Australia and camped in the pig pen. It rained. It blew. It was sunny. It was not sunny. All four seasons. Beautiful location and some awesome caches.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

Great little town Ballan.
I stopped by this great church to collect the clues.
A quick calculation and I was soon scouring around GZ.
That's my kind of container.
In the taste sense that is.
Thanks for the fun.

On a short road trip to Ballarat today to attend my 2nd ever CITO event for June. I made a few stops before getting there and ended up collecting quite a few adventure lab locations in town before heading to the CITO where there was quite a good turnout because although it was cool there was zero wind and the sun popped out as well so it was perfect.
I stopped for a break here and after gathering the clues and a very short walk away I found the cache safe and sound. No surprise there because the bush protecting it was quite spiky.
Thanks misschief18 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Another multi where we made some poor calculations, but got back on track and finally arrived at GZ. Took a few minutes of searching but finally found it.
Our first day caching in and around Ballan on a short visit for a family celebration.
A good mixture of caches in forest locations and the town itself. A couple of multis and an Adventure Lab made for a good mix, and nearly all really good-sized caches.
Some great themed caches from Shumba in the forest added to the entertainment.
All in all, a good day with some lunch in Ballan.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache misschief18.

Out with SueHut for a special day away from the kids.
Found in fairly quick order, even if I ended up kneeling on nettles. The church's great, and many photos were taken from various angles.
Thanks heaps, Kinkell1 and misschief18

Found it!!! All is good. Instructions are clear enough. Just a shame the trades are a bit deteriorated. Thankyou
I had a 2nd go at this one. As the sign with the info was partly concealed with another makeshift sign & some old info was almost worn away. I had guessed a couple clues wrongly, so on 2nd attempt, came up with the prize! Tftc
Spending the day caching with AlexiKatty trying to stay on target for my milestone for the Wangaratta mega in January. It's a nice day and beautiful to be out hear again. Very happy to add this smile to my map.

We think we were in the right place but we couldn't find the cache - the bushes are super overgrown and made it tricky today. Snap found this cache back in the day but couldn't help me today!

After a day out in Lerderderg State park with buhfuhguh, we were now heading for home but we need to head in to Ballan first so while we were here we decided to cache out Ballan which we did.
After gathering the needed info, we soon had a new GZ that wasn't far away so hafter a short stroll we were soon there and the cache was found shortly after.

Out caching today with Stemicmitsar in another out west adventure. With this time having Lerderderg on the cards.
I havent been out this way since the 15 year event so it was awesome to be back in the area. With the main focus being caches around the Razorback.
Awesome day all in all thanks for the cache and the adventure.

Out with Nettie 1234 today. After visiting the local pie shop we ventured to the cache area. We sorted the numbers and still couldn’t come up with the goods. Retracted and found we didn’t get our sums correct. Second try and yes , we found the cache nicely tucked away. Thanks misschief18.
Early morning start meeting with Pacman. Good thing he had the coords as could not work out the maths! Thanks for the little multi here.
Today we found Ballan Heritage - Mixed Media on our travels. We are escaping the city for a couple of days with the intention of doing parts of the geotour and some Labs
Thanks misschief18 for being part of our geocaching fun.

Well, it was time for our first day out caching for almost twelve months so we chose Ballan as it was an area we had not cached before.
Oh dear, a bit rusty and made a mess of the calculations for this one so it took far longer than it should but we got there in the end.

Out on my on today on my way to visit my brother in the Ballan Nursing home. Great to be released after isolation. Have not been to this town in years. Nice one. Leadership answer was in doubt and after reading full description found all what I needed. Thanks for the cache misschief18
I was up in Ballan to attend the annual Birthday Bash event in honour of Kinkell1 and this time last year I could not find this one.
I left the other teams as they were heading west and I was heading back towards Melbourne so I looked for this one on my own
The main reason for not finding it was I messed up the coords that had me in a totally different place but with a corner post.
12 months later minus a day I readjusted my calculations that had me in a better spot.
A quick search and I was soon able to add my name to the log after having 12 months of a blue sad face on my map.
Thanks Kinkell1 for original placement and to misschief18 for keeping this one alive.
Thanks Kinkell1 & mischief TFTC.

The first waypoint is a little troublesome as the bottom of the sign has been painted over, then we went looking for the house with the sign and not finding one we kept adjusting our numbers. Like C should it be this number or that number, we hedged our bets and tried both.
Not understanding what we were doing wrong we kept reading only to find that the sign no longer exists, see we were attempting to work through the multi stage by stage, next time we might read all the way through first. In the end we got there and our names is in the book.
The lid of the cache container has come off the container. SL TFTC

Today Crabk1, Papi4506, GeoTurtle37 and myself headed to the “other” side of Melbourne for a day chasing mainly multi’s and an event. This was the first of the day. Thanks so much for placing this cache Kinkell1(adopted by misschief18), I had a good time looking around the church and nearby building.

Had the opportunity to check on this one today. Couldn’t find it so I have replaced with another container. Ready to be found.
Running a bit close to the starting time for the nearby event.
Not sure if we looked hard enough.

It helps if the person doing the math does it correctly, mmmm. Soon realised something was wrong, corrected it and the cache was in hand. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.

With a relatively quiet calendar ahead, I’ve chosen May for my multi month.
Decided to head out of town today with Papi4506 & Geoturtle37.
Struggled at first, but found quickly once we spotted our calculation error.

Find #1649 for me. Found with virbull at 11:25 am. I'd collected the information from the sign when I was passing through last month but must have made a mistake since my calculations for the next part took me to a location some distance away from the church and it was clear that the house there was unlikely to be the original manse. Running short on time I postponed this one until another day. I completed the calculations again from the comfort of my home in Bendigo and this time got the right result. Today I happened to be in the area again, this time with virbull, so it made sense to complete what I should have finished off on my first visit. Today we made a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks to Kinkell1 for placing this cache and thanks misschief18 for keeping it going!
First find on a great day's geocaching with Claybol. This was to be the easiest find of the day........ Interesting to see the church all closed on a Sunday morning at about 11:00am...... Times have changed I'd say.... This little warm up for the day, particularly as I haven't been able to cache much recently due to starting a new job.
On a gentle day as I mooch towards Bendigo I had time to do this little offset multi. The numbers were soon gathered and manipulated into a sensible coords. A short walk and a bit of a scruffle and the cache was in hand. Thanks misschief18
TFTC. We came to Ballan today to attend the Birthday Bash at the park. While there we thought we may as well attempt a few caches around town. We had trouble with one of the numbers and asked the CO at the Birthday Bash. As she wanted to do some cache maintenance we took a short drive and we soon saw the error of our ways. It pays to get closer to read the sign. A short walk and cache found in good order. Thanks misschief18.
Found just prior to attending the event held in honour of the original CO. I reconsidered trying to find this one given the day and time (the carpark showed evidence of attendance at today's service) but thought I'll just see how far I get.
On my way to WP1 I thought I might have a muggle issue given the couple out for some Sunday morning exercise walking the opposite way but subscribing to the philosophy of 'the best defence is offence' I made sure to greet them thus allaying any suspicion. After continuing past the sign I doubled back, took a photo and sat in the car whilst deriving final coords.
Once derived I found that I was a very short distance away and a teeny tiny walk later I looked in the most obvious spot. Nothing there. Hmm, recalling gmj3191 and Nicole_Louise's logs I thought I might widen the search area so as not to arrive at the same initial result. Bingo, that did the trick. Thanks for a quick multi.

grabbed the opportunity to go to Ballan as a passenger and convinced muggle driver to stop in the shade for a minute while I did the search for the cache. I quick solve and a scrabble about and I had the cache and signed log and was back at the car while he was still standing outside the car having a bite to eat..thanks for a quick multi and another remote smilie on my map . hopefully I'll add a few more around your area in the not too distant future..
Not sure how gmj3191 and us missed this last time - I'm suuuuure we looked there. Luckily today, with an already-calculated GZ, it was a lightning fast find. TFTC
A big day of geocaching from Ballan back to Ballarat. Third stop and a rookie mistake by not reading description correctly. Finally find 3 for S. Tsls. Tftc
Gave the container a good clean and replaced the log book. All good again. Dipped in TBs.
Our last day in the area before we head back to Tassie. Went via Meredith from Torquay to drop off the muggle mum/mum-in-law before slowly heading to the airport. We don't normally do multis when we are just passing through the town but this one looked like an easy one to do. We parked where we could do the reading and it surprised us for the next WP. Ok, easily done and got concerned with the next bit but read on and got the answer. Checked GZ and we were concerned that it wasn't there, but by chance I spotted a container without a lid further on and it had the log book in it. However, the log book was extremely wet so we placed a piece of paper with our log on it in the container. We also eventually found the lid and placed the container closer to the hint.

Calculations done after admiring this beautiful church, and off to GZ. Ran into gmj3191 and compared notes - we both had the same GZ but despite a protracted search we still couldn't find the cache. Thanks anyway
Didn't get to this one today so temporarily disabling it until I can see what is yuck in there. Hopefully next Thursday.
Find #1300. We couldn't find this one on a previous attempt but we were back in the area so we tried again. We assumed our previous working out was correct and we just went in for it. Lucky we were spot on and the container was soon in hand. Something yuck was in there. Think it needs a CO check. Thanks mischief18 for the adventure.
With the company of Ninny Muggins we made our way from Bacchus Marsh to Ballan grabbing caches a long the way. This was my first time in Ballan so I was intrested to see Ballan is still a small country town. The information was quickly gathered but the search for the cache took a little longer. Signed and replaced as found.

A quick little multi which at the end of the day is exactly what you want! Finding the cache for some reason took longer than it should but we got there in the end. Placed a travel bug in here to help him on his journey. Thank you for this cache.
Accidentally stumbled across this cache when picking up rubbish as part of clean up australia day! The kids were very excited when they realized it wasn't rubbish
Was picked up by a geofriend omegaman1971 and me omegaman1971 and vanessa&aodh headed out to Ballarat. We ended up meeting with a group of cachers and headed into the underworld of Ballarat for some hide them to Ballan for an event. After this we found a few more and headed home. What a day thanks. And some great caches where found. TFTC.

Drove to the coordinates for the start of this multi and soon found a nice cool tree to park under.
We soon had the information we needed to find the cache. At GZ it was an easy find and sign this cache. In the fine company of Omegaman1971, Vanessa & Aodh, Lukie1987. Met Lukie1987's relatives who he'd arranged to catch up with while in town.

On the way from the Ballan event after our group adventure to the Subterranean Letterbox. We met up with mcsee&petal and found this with our car full of jokers: lukie1987 and omegaman1971. These are cute churches, and this multi was the best kind of multi: short and simple. Loved it. We even got to meet some local relos of Luke's. Thanks Kinkell1.

The Geo family were on the road today to make our way to a birthday event in Ballan. We couldn't resist the temptation for a detour to collect a few caches within the area. We had not been in Ballan for a short while and enjoyed our last visit here. While the geo family had some lunch, I went for a walk to gather the information for this one. I always wonder if I make the easier multis too hard for myself. The numbers were coming out quickly but I wondered if one of the answers was correct. It proved to be after I made the discovery but my co-ords were a few meters out. Stamped and returned as found.
[blue]Thanks for this multi cache, Kinkell 1 [^]
Log and container in good condition.
Took Nothing, Left Nothing [/blue]

In the company of Bbdam, we executed this cache no worries.
I did stupidly PAF at the 2nd way point. We couldn't find the sign for F, then were informed by our PAF that yes you are stupid....read the next line on the page. "F =11"
DOH!!!
Thanks for the cache Sue
The container and contents are in good condition.
Cheers.

Having tackled Bicentennial Plaques - Ballan together, Dog-gone and I decided to have a look at this one too. Even Geobuddy BJ got in on this one although he didn't really help! TNLN, TFTC Kinkell1
With a bit of work as a Geo Fam, we found it... I found this one... Love it. T4TC
First cache in Ballan for me. Lovely old building, sat under a magnificent shady tree to work the multi and had a quick find at the end. Well done Kinkell1. TFTC
