Went looking early in the morning and couldn't find so went back to relations place we were staying at. Then left at lunch time with rest of family to come back home to NSW, drove past and look, someone else was looking for it,pulled up and introduced ourselves to Green Team 2,we all looked for a little while and we had to go,so looking forward to see if it was found after we left.Good day Green Team 2 and gerrynewgirl this is a great spot for a cache.
DNF for us. Sprung by Fergclan from Lismore who had been there earlier. 4 pairs of eyes and no cache. Will keep an eye on this as it is a great park. Unfortunately the trend was to continue for the rest of the day for us. More DNF's than finds.
stopped for lunch in the park. waited fo muggles to move before grabbing the cache.

Stopped off at the park and only a garden maintenance guy was nearby. Waited for him to move away and grabbed the cache. The log book was wet so I partially dried it out and placed it in a plastic bag. SL. TFTC gerrynewgirl
Found with matt_stomper on our way through town from Bundy to Brissy. We were stopped for a break and decided to have a little wander through the park to recharge before getting back into the car. We saw the old mine shaft and headed over for a look. Being keen cachers we decided that there would have been a good chance there was a cache planted nearby. We pretty much stumbled upon this one as we were reading the info about the old mine. It was well hidden but knowing what a cache hiding hole may look like was a sure sign to any cacher! TFTC
As Shell_seeker said we found this one by absolute chance. Just taking a walk for break in the drive from Bundy to Brissy and something just didn't look right and there it was . . . a cache.

Nice easy find on our way to Townsville. Sooo much rain about, got very wet! TNLN TFTC

Found this one without too much trouble Muggles far enough away not to pose a threat
Found at 0714 with Marg. Marg found the first on out 2 day caching trip to Hervey Bay. Nice park and old buildings. Cache OK and dry. TFTC.
Must have timed this well, finding it just after the maintenance. Market day found easily but had to wait for muggle to leave to return it to the hole. TFCT
Checked this cache today and there was no sign of the container so it has been replaced with a new container which includes a log and writing stick. The container is similar to an eclispe tin and is still rated the same, but I have included a hint.
I am currently enroute to do maintenance on my caches but the vehicle broke down in the Brisbane area last night. Hopefully in the forthcoming weeks I will have them all attended to. Sorry for the inconvienence but being in Tasmania for the past 6 months did not help. I apoligise for any cachers who have missed the opportunity to enjoy my caches. cheers gerrynewgirl.
Didn't read the other logs til we'd gone and looked for it. Seems like it isn't surprising we didn't find it.
Definitely needs a visit from the owner. Perhaps disable it until you can visit.
As you are unable to maintain the cache perhaps you should temporarily disable it to stop it appearing on search lists. Two previous needs maintenance notices but no action other than a plea.
Have found a few of this type in the past but nothing showing today. Given a previous comment may need to be taken off line - will add maintenance requirement.
Found it, it was a little bit trashed. It had been pulled out and a mower had run over it. Tried to put it back togather as best as possible and placed back in hiding spot.
Would the next finder please replace the container (just an eclipse type container) and log for me as I am currently off the mainland and unable to attend to the maintenance for the next couple of months. Thanks gerrynewgirl.
Found this one but it was too wet to write on the log. The cantainer is damaged and has a small hole in one end where the moisture is getting in.
Unable to write on the log as it has turned to paper mache. Container as noted in previous logs is broke.
As allready written. The logbook soaked and a propper logging is not possible.
The container is broken, too.

The nearby flood marks are pretty impresiv. Still cannot believe that the flood can rise thas high.
The cache itself is in a pretty bad shape. The container is damaged. Mybe a cigar container is not the best geocache box.
The logbook was sucked I hardly could write my name on it. Both, container and logbook, do have to be changed.
What ever, thank you for the cache on my way to Rainbow Beach.

Wife found it after a little cratching aroung while I was busy lookin at the GPS.
Found this one within 30 seconds of searching.
The last time I was down here I spent 30mins trying to find this cache before calling it quits and walking away with a DNF but this time as soon I found it I was like..."How the heck did I not find that last time" like you'd probably say to most geocaches when you find them after a DNF. I do probably have to fess up that I got a small hint from Gerrynewgirl when she was up in Emerald doing some caching.

Had another crack at this one on the return journey north, but still no luck.......
There was a local council worker cleaning the area but he didn't seem to show any interest in what i was doing. TFTC
An accidental find as I was wandering around, waiting for the GPSr to settle on a GZ. Saw something I thought should be looked at and surprise, surprise, a cache appeared. TN/LN/SL and replaced it as we found it. I can't say how accurate I found the co-ordinates to be as I didn't bother with the GPSr, once I'd found it. Needless to say, you have to check "them all" .
Found with L&L – I was searching the wrong tree! I was searching where the GPS originally put us. L&L had walked 8-10m away to do another walk in and found the cache accidently when he just happened to look in the right spot! TFTC
Found quite quickly on a really beaut day. Stopped off in the park for picnic. Loved the container!

Before we had our picnic at this interesting area, we looked for the cache. First we had problems to get to GZ, but walking around we finally got GZ and so also the cache with the first grab.

Pt. Douglas Trip 09.16. Fantastic park. The museum looked interesting. I was surprised I could get this one, but not complaining about the muggle barrier. Thanks.

A fabulous park which I've visited before.
But I never got around to exploring this bit of the grounds
The search took a while as I continued to overlook the most obvious location several times
Finally I dug a little deeper and there was a cache
Most of the camo's worn off though (unless red is a camo colour)
TFTC.
Watch out for Collingwood supporters til the end of September

Charlie and I are here from Oregon, USA, touring the east coast in a camper van. Round and round we went, trying to get the GPSers to zero. Kept bring us to the 'wrong' spot. Finally, charlie extended the search and came up with the goods. TFTFun
I found this cool cache surprisingly fast . This is the first cache I've found [8)].
Plenty of evidence of searching by cachers but all in the wrong place. Mrs yv found the object of our desire while I was still scratching my head.

but why oh why when i sit to log do muggles appear and hang around for what feels like forever before i can replace the cache
it happens so often...
there were so many groups of kids going over the walkway above. they were having a ball.
and thats a bloody high flood line all the way up there! doubt we are going to see rains like that ever again.

Kids and I wandered around a bit as the GPSr was all over the place. It eventually settled and we had the cache. There were quite a few muggles around today, so the kids did all the work as they can get away with it.
Of course the kids wanted to go to the museum and do the walk above, but I had to promise them another day, as the wife was sitting in the car and would have called a search party. Anyhow we will be back.

It took me longer than it should have to find the cache. It was in the obvious location.
Thanks to the Wonder Wits there was a lovely dry log to sign.
Thanks to the Wonder Wits there was a lovely dry log to sign.
Log was actually pretty dry, but it was awfully floppy and wibbly and I didn't like my chances of getting it back in ... Cache now has new log sheet with entries transcribed from the old log book (please pardon the transcription errors) and currently no pencil... TFTC gerrynewgirl.
Would the next finder please take a new sheet of paper to replace the log book as the old one has has been reported as being soggy and I am on a trip north at present so cannot change it just now. Cheers and thanks, gerrynewgirl.
Found with crushernz and kids. Logbook soggy, but managed to write on it. may need maintenance soon, a new log book wouldn't go astray.
Nice, easy find, while having a break on the way back to Brisbane. Logbook is soggy- container not waterproof, and is in a damp spot. TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache.

Must be too used to the Brisbane urban hides as I was looking for something far more difficult than was necessary.
We finally looked in what should have been the obvious location and came up with the goods.
We finally looked in what should have been the obvious location and came up with the goods.
Stopped off for a look on our way north. The GeoKid had been in the car for long enough, and was keen to stretch her legs.
The GPS lead the adults to a likely spot and the cache was quickly in hand. Once we signed the log, we rounded up the GeoKid and continued north.
Thanks for the cache

Found at 3.30pm. Nice easy walk around the park and also to grab a cache or two. TFTC
Stopped here on the way home from Hervey Bay. After reading the logs, we thought this was one of the caches you look at and ignore because they blend in so nicely. We tried to disassemble the water tap and the fire hose but no cache. Our search was made more difficult by the attacking mag pie... I had given up already, when geomum looked in an obvious spot and said "here it is!". TFTC
A popular cache today, me being the 3rd finder this morning, and its only 1115 hrs. It was my third find of my trip to the Brisbane event. Interesting surroundings.
