Just haven't had the time lately to attend to this cache replacement... so now freeing up the space for some other cacher.
We have also failed to find this cache. Could we request a check on this please. Enjoyed solving the puzzle and the walk to ground zone. Very pleasant...
Will have to sort a replacement cache, so have disabled this listing temporarily.
Fun puzzle and another good find while in the area today.
Took a bit of searching! SL TFTC
Took a bit of searching! SL TFTC
The area was pretty muggly, but I had a pretty good read on the GPSr so I waited for a dog and his owner to move on before having a good look. I thought I knew the spot but came up empty. Reading some of the logs suggests its a tough find so I guess I'm going to have to come back another time with some fresh ideas. I though it prudent to log my DNF since it has been a long time since it has been found.
These puzzle caches have been doing my head in, solved this one then finally after at least seven "whole" attempts with the help of the kids - Thank goodness for the perseverence of Master 2 who came up with it. Awesome cache - so relieved to have found it.
Solved about a year ago so decided it was time to do the paperwork while in town tonight. TFTC
One of the first puzzles I solved but finally got around to grabbing it. Very tricky hide.
looked in a few spots even took shoes off to check the slightly flooded side then had an aha moment and found it
Such a great cache - no wonder it has so many favourite points. We didn't have the GPS with us but thought we'd try our luck anyway after looking at the map before we left home. Walked past GZ and had a quick feel and told Granny what a great place it would be for a (insert cache type) cache. Walked further along then decided we'd gone too far so returned to the most likely spot. Picked up son and got him to have a feel and sure enough BINGO - and it WAS a great place for a (insert cache type) cache. We had a good laugh. Hope to find more like this or hide a couple like it. Many thanks. Favourite point given.
Finally found as I had Mr P with me and he was tall enough to reach. A favourite with us. t4tc
Cache #128 for us & one of the most challenging finds to date. Brought our pup along, thinking he'd be good 'muggle cover' for this park, but he turned out to be a muggle-dog magnet. Mmmm. Still, he gave us a reason to be around GZ for ages while geokids checked out the surrounds (funny how boys getting into all sorts of nooks & crannies never seems to raise muggle attention ), with a successful search when the other dog walkers moved on. Thanks for the puzzle & tftc
Found it YAY! Second time back here, but was determined to find it. River level was high today.
FANTASTIC! You get a fav point because this cache had me stumped for a good 20mins while I figured out how to get the cache. Then when I had all but given up I found it. Thanks for a well thought out cache and puzzle!
Couldn't find this one, maybe next time, reading the other logs, I might have to grow a little taller?
#2612. Mrs h solved the puzzle, Mr h found the cache. Well hidden on both counts. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Solved this puzzle a long time ago and tried before to get th goods. This time around we approached the same GZ as before and cache in hand within twenty seconds. Cant believe we missed it last time, great hide and cammo. Well done on all acounts. TFTC
We were in Hamilton for the weekend to attend the 'Why Not An Event Cache'. We had spent several nights solving several puzzles in preparation for this trip. Made the short walk to GZ passing a large number of muggles walking their dogs on the way. Once at GZ we spent some time looking for a likely hidding spot. We kept coming back to the same spot and although we had looked there before we finally found the tricky little hide. Well done. TFTC.
Out and about grabbing some caches with the Team Welsh crew. Checked first that there were no possums at home, then it was a quick find. Thanks.
Another puzzle that we were able to pick up while out and about with Trout-fly. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.
O.k, I'll admit it, this was my second attempt. What a cunning hide ! I was looking in the right place all along. Great hide. Dropped off TB TFTC
After having worked it out couldn't belive I had the right spot as not rearly a puzzel cacher, success Yeah, TFTC
Ha ha loved this one so much you earned a fav point from us!!! A simple enough solve, a beautiful winter walk to GZ, got mugged by a horse (a newfoundland actually) and chatted to its owner hoping he'd move on. Soon had the place to ourselves, first spot to try and bingo! Loved the ingenious techniques applied. Well done and TFTC!!
#1150 Been a few months since we were here last, so made it a priority to have another go. Success this time. Although surprised at how much the river has risen in the last few months. Cool hide. SL. TFTC.
Had to watch out for a pair of dogs running around, didn't see the owner however. Nice cache hideout. TFTC
Saw that this previously had 2 DNF's but decided to give it a go anyway.
Found relatively quickly but failed to see the easy way to retrieve it for a while. Thanks

Almost did not go down in ti the park today after a few did not finds but were able to come up with the goods . Out TB
After finding your "same name TB" the other weekend, decided to find a cache in your locality to drop it off. So rolled up the sleeves and solved the puzzle. Headed off today with the Freezer Mice ready to place him and gosh we spent ages and couldn't find it. Had to drop your critter in another cache. Hope you can locate him from there. Will try this one on another visit...
No luck for us on the 13th. Could not find this one and the nearby cache was also inundated with picnic muggles. Will be back another day with fresh eyes.
What a tricky hide,
With the help of my tall brother,
Who easily spotted the contraption.
so many other possible hidey holes.
Thanks.

Nice hide, this was my second time looking! Had solved the puzzle a little bit back. TFTC
Have tried to find this cache several times since our first DNF last February. The area around GZ looked a bit different today. The river level must have been really high recently, judging by the "tide" marks on the trees. This helped narrow down the search area, and we soon focused on the most likely spot. We had searched the same spot on previous visits, but this time we were determined to pin the cache down, knowing it had to be there somewhere. Our perseverence was finally rewarded when the cunning hide was discovered. Relief! Glad to finally have crossed this one off the DNF list. Thanks for the fun puzzle and the challenging hide!

A first to find, well sort of, the new log book anyway.
Pleased my nephew was with us, a bit taller than us.
Very nice hide.

Will have to go and replace the logbook, so have disabled it in the meantime.
Passing by here with the doggies (as we often do now after you showed us this spot to bring them ) and checked on the cache as we often do. It is still there, but unfortunately the plastic logbook bag was full of water - the logbook is sodden and needs replacing.
We came by here a couple of weeks ago when the river was VERY high - you would have to have swum a few metres to reach GZ back then, so this may have had something to do with it.

Solved this long ago and was sure of the coords... but either the river was in full flood (it sure looked muddy and raging!) and the cache underwater or my GPS was pointing me 10 meters out. dissapointing after waiting ages for schoolbunking muggles to depart GZ zone; found what could have beeen the spot according to the clue, but no find.
Thanks anyway
Thanks anyway
Must confess - Feathertop solved this one, but I found it, does that count?
A nice spot for a walk. Although there were a lot of muggles around we searched in peace.
Thanks, Robmc.

First time I've run across this particular cipher and once solved I looked forward to finding it.
Lots of walkers and dogs about late this afternoon but it was a pleasant walk to GZ
The hide is exceptionally well done
I can esaily see why others have struggled here.

thanks

Really enjoyed working this one out and despite being pretty sure we were in the correct place and checked the 'whole' of the cache or where it should have been as well as the surrounding we didn't have any luck.
Out with Mattyswift, we searched for quite a while knowing it was supposed to be clever hide,
finally a recheck revealed the very trick find

Now I will confess to a DNF. Passed by here ages ago and had a quick look but didn't get the tricky bit. A very good hide TFTC
At last I have it. Went without my cycling gloves and so saw what I saw the first time but with new eyes.

another one for the Waikato "to find" list. Thank goodness for Google & TFTP
In the Waikato today to collect a bunch of solved puzzle caches. Solving the puzzle was the easy bit. Tried to find this one in the dark. Put our hands in lots of holes, but maybe not far enough. Gave up the search after one of us got stung by a wasp that crawled inside a t-shirt. Will have to come back in the daylight.
We thought decoding the cipher was going to be the hard bit, but it took three attempts to find this clever hide. What a great feeling when we found it! TFTC
Last cache for the night, and took a wee while to find. Of course it was in the first place I looked, I just didn't look very carefully Cheers Gav [4660]
The Phantom In And Out Undetected Again
My powers of undetectedness were on high alert.
Solved puzzle a while back on a wet weekend inside.
Out with the cashkids today for the find, and test my results.
Once again I was spot on.Great hide, and heaps of fun had.
Muggles appear from all directions, but we had it sussed.
TFTC was really cool.

Anyway, the coords were spot on and find made after a bit of a look.
Our arms are not that long! TFTC heaps of fun on a Muggle highway.

Maintenence trip here today, and a replacement log book deposited.
If all future finders could ensure that the snap lock bag is closed when they replace the cache, then this will prevent this new log book getting ruined. Ta TFM.

I haven't had to do a cipher like this for a few years. It certinly got the grey matter clonking in too gear. A nice stroll in and out in no time at all unde rthe cover of darkness. TFTC
At last! It has taken four goes to find this one. Needed a little bit of help in the end but I am sure I was only millimetres away previously. What a very very crafty hide. NINO Thanks very much Freezer Mice.
Very cool way to hide a cache, glad I didn't stir up a hornets nest! TFTC.
Yea !!! got it, my third attempt. I was in the right spot it was just such a tricky hide. Well done and thanks for a good puzzle.
Picked up Travel ingot.

Got it on 2nd attempt. It was where we thought it should be but we could not identify it when it was raining. Tonight shellz had the magic touch. TFTC and keep up the great work Freezer Mice.
Thanks for the Cache. Finally got it after a couple of goes. Made easier with the help of a new GPS from Santa. Good Hide.

Another in the Hamilton puzzle collection to solve. Pays to look closely ha, ha, missed it on the first pass! TFTC
Solved the puzzle with return2nai a couple of months back but the nice weather for ducks meant a no go at GZ. Found today - nearly beat us but then it was dark!!
A long time coming this one waiting for the tide to turn, but finally had the chance to do it. GZ is a nice spot at this time of year, esp. at dusk - TFTC + Japan GC
Decrypted the cipher earlier today and found the cache while we were driving around doing mooloo scavenger hunt

Completed this puzzle a while ago, had the final co-ords in our little blue book and finally got to hamilton to try out our luck, found after intensive searching around GZ, river was still a bit high, but not enough to get feet wet at the cache location.
In Ring and cool stone
out, nothing.

What an awesome location!! Found the well hidden cache after putting my hand within 5cms of it, twice. TFTC TNLN
Quite the adventure. The object that the cache was hidden in was currently in some water. B was delegated to remove his shoes, socks and pull up trousers in order for retrieval. The water was up to his knees and his pants ended up getting wet. Had solved the puzzle back home and was determined to retrieve it. Initial hunt came up empty so J sent him back. The second look was a success so glad the persistance paid off. TNLN TFTC
Reception was not great (under trees) and I could not find it (even with the hint). River has been quite high recently; not sure if high enough to reach cache. Had someone to meet, so called it a day.
