Find #1834. On a trip to Dunedin to take Luke to Otago Uni. Took a drive out of the city to explore the coastal scenic road and collect a few caches. Shame about the low cloud making things quite damp and spoiling the views. Despite the weather there were still quite a few cars so just had to go ahead and retrieve the cache. Neat view from here - what a lovely coast. SL TFTC
was an amazing place to stop and find a cache. Didn't wake the campervan sleepers.

8 of 63 on a days caching with ingidayna. A quick easy multi and find in a lovely spot to stop. TFTC
On the way to to Oamaru we chose the scenic route and were rewarded with stunning views and a quick, easy multi - thanks for taking the time to bring us here!
A quick one. Nice place.

Out for a drive rounding some up and filling in a dot day. This is certainly a great drive once you get onto Coast Rd, some beaut views.
I don't know how many times I've passed this one, but it was definitely time to grab it. A quick skeg at the
numbers then a dash and a find. Spent a few minutes soaking in the views then on down to the new one.

Great spot. Conceivably my fastest Multi, ever [^]. TFTC & greetings from Denmark.
While the Geo-nana and I were taking note of the information we needed from the plaque, the junior dakotacat yells out "found it". That would be the easier multi we have ever found. The fog was thick as pea soup up here so there were no views at all. We couldn't even see from one end of the car park to the other! TFTC wallaceDuo.
Started this one 2 days ago, but it started raining. So came back today to finish the job. Found with LollipopCat and SpyDude13. Kia ora for the cache wallaceDuo.
Nice little multi on a sunny afternoon. lots of people at the lookout, but Heafudd M just played the fool and no one took any notice of us finding the cache. TFTC
Found this cache shortly after finding our 500th cache just down the road at Seacliff. The lookout gave us stunning views today and the cache was found with relative ease, although rather prickly, a short time later. Only one parked-up Motor-home Muggle to be found. TFTC

Our 89th find in NZ, 1st of Day 7
We made the stop here overnight to enjoy the fabulous views. Got up early (11ish) and made an easy find to start the day. Fav vote for location!

Not having any local maps we took the description for how it read and looked behind the prominent rock with success. SL - no swaps. A really excellent view from this spot. Thanks to wallaceDuo for the cache and for bringing us here.
What a quick multi this was. After RuruNZ looked at one likely gz, I headed further down where my gps was taking me and with my little legs did a bit of a scramble to retrieve the cache. Loved the views but forgot to take some with the camera - duh - so what's more important a photo or the cache? Never know when I'll be back so suppose both would have been good. Oh well them's the breaks.
Driving north from the mega, decided to take the coast run for a bit of scenery. Saw a lookout and pulled up. Great, there is a cache. Oh dang, it's a multi which being a bit time poor for the run hadn't been targetting. But it didn't look that hard and was fairly simple to work out and easy to grab. Nice views from here. Thanks wallaceDuo.
Found with kiwicampnut after Mega.
Quickly found the info needed, found the cache and then educated a local.
Lovely views, possibly the best along the coast.
Thanks.

Found as part of the Gangsters- The Rats, Farmer Frentzen and Big Matt and Shell- as part of our NZ Mega Event Tour 2012.
An unexpected find- as we stopped at the lookout for the views and there was a cache nearby we had a go and before long the co-ords and cache were in hand. Thanks!

Our 6328th overall find.
Found on the "Gangsters" NZ Mega 2012 trip with steeba, The Rats and Farmer Frentzen. A nice short multi while in the area.
Thanks wallaceDuo for the cache. Stats for our trip can be found here http://www.campersdownunder.com.au/geocaching/NZTrip/stats2.html

Found this cache as part of the Gangster's Aussie assault on the first NZ Mega with Big Matt, FarmerFrenzten and steeba.
This was a bonus cache wasnt intended. After stopping for the view we realised a cache was nearby.
Thanks

Found during 'The Gangsters' trip to New Zealand, being Big Matt, The Rats, steeba and myself.
This was an unexpected multi. We had initially stopped to look at the view but after doing the sums we realised it wasn't that far away.

Great views of the beaches... Dropped by for a cache and a view with YuGeo4. Thanks for the cache
9870... The only Old Man & Old Woman were sitting in the car, so we sent young ishoot to Lookout for the answers awesome views, another great spot, TFTM.
More than one reason to stop - great views and good to nab another cache. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Had stopped to admire the views before but didn't know about this cache then. Back to grab it with debsnz
This is one of those magic spots that EVERYBODY should visit before they die. Cache not difficult - almost disappointingly so - as I could spend all day here.
Amazing views on a clear morning! A bit chilly though, and while it looked summery towards the beaches basking in the sun, there were large snow patches up the Silverpeaks... The local cattle took great interest in me and the cache, especially the only light coloured one among the black ones, looked at the container and its contents with great appreciation TFTC
A small Multi, was worried i would be walking up and down hills to find this one, but managed to achieve it in a good amount of time. Fantastic views, left Redcliffe District scout badge, TFTC!
As we travelled south the weather did not look very promising. We were pleasently surprised when we got to the look out that there was no wind or rain and it was a nice break for the journey. Have not ever taken anything other than SH1 straight in to Dunedin so it was a nice detour with a beautiful view as well. Thanks for the cache easy find.
...and I will claim the young man status! Nice view, amongst t he rushing clouds below. TFTC
Very nice spot. Found with Mr B. I'm going to claim old man status on this one. TFTC
Thanks for this cache. It was good to be able to put a name to the beautiful scenery. We thought we might not be able to stop as they are doing roadworks and a large truck was parked there but we managed to fit us and caravan in too.
A nice spot but had to be careful as a camper-van was parked up for the night. TFTC.
Mama has to work today but Granville is visiting from Invercargill so he, Papa and Guwapo packed into the CacheMobile and headed out for a days caching. Quick solve and the cache located. Had to wait a few minutes before replacing as another vehicle turned up to admire the great views. Salamat!
Great day of geocaching with gpsmith and walgl399. Also enjoyed a dedication from one of the local radio stations, U2's I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, somewhat appropriate
As per naysa374's log, seconds later we found what we were looking for. A great spot, but unfortunately it was too dark for photos. Look forward to travelling this road again in future.
Used the patented PB cache detection method and had the cache in hand in no time at all. Didn't linger as the weather was a little cooler than some days on our trip. Would be a beautiful view on a clear day. TNLN TFTC
I know this area pretty well so i thought i would try without my GPS. The clue was fairly obvious and i also saw a few marks in the grass from past cachers. TNLN. Cheers!
I had a hunch where the final for this was going to be and, after glancing quickly at the plaque int he drizzle, decided to take the gamble and go straight to it...and there it was! Quickly back in the car and out of the rain. TFTC!
A very cool place to be today with a brisk NE blowing. Sooin had the cache in hand however. TFTC
Nice up here today. Had to wait for muggles to move on. Road not busy.TFTC.
Forgot to log this with the others yesterday.
Had to wait until a couple of council trucks left after lunchtime.
Nice quick find and the views were awesome.

Probably one of the shortest multi caches we have ever made. Nice spot despite the rain. TFTC
2991. The view was not too spectacular this morning but the wave formations were very interesting. A quick multi.

WOW, what a view. Even the two year old got really excited about it. We called it a lunch spot
Find 3 of 11 for the day. No problem finding the cache, thanks a lot

A great view from up here, seeing where we have been this morning. No trains for us today, onto Dunedin. TNLN Thanks.
A quick find whilst a couple of student chatted in the nearby carpark in an Undie 500 cop car Cheers Gav [2641]
Great view. Our last for the day after a trip to Oamaru for a funeral, plus a few caches on the way there and back.
#611. Nice hide in a popular area. A professional looking photographer at work (other than us ) and a magnificent day for it too! The two you are viewing are well worth a visit (at low tide)in person. Spend a lot of time down there exploring the rock pools (again in a past life)
