I guess it pays to checkthe cache page before heading off for a days caching. I was in the right spot, did the up and down thing with no luck, thenphoned a friend who read the cache onlyto tell me itsnot there. Maybe next time.
sorry for the late disabling but i had not time yeserday. will put this cace ack up as soonas i have it in my hands
718 - A spare hour in the CBD again so a couple of caches attempted.
One trip down to spot the cache - another to make the grab...
Walked away to open the cache and sign it without being too obvious about it all. That accomplished it was then the fun started.
In between making the grab and going back to replace it some workmen had stopped the escalator and blocked off both ends. They then preceeded to pull apart the thing for some maintenance. I was literally left holding the cache in hand with no way of returning it. I waited around for a while but did not get ther chance to return it. I will make arrangements with the owner to return the cache to its 'hidey' hole.
Don't try this one until the owner declares it ready to go.
All up its a nice cache ti complete but oh so difficult at times!

Cheers....

19:25 Oh, what an exercise this was! Should have read the listing better before hunting for this one, it really helps, in hindsight. Must have gone down the esca-ma-later 7 or 8 times before we found it. Needs new log urgently, almost no room for logs at all. Interesting geocache, thanks for the exercise, and the feeling of being a little crazy.
Rated: for Overall Experience
Took me several laps of the circuit to snare this one. Thank heaven's for long arms! Can't believe this one's survived for so long! Top work. TFTC. Took the frisbee, left a soccer ball. Is this 499 Groundspeak finds for Bigmickb?....
After looking unsuccessful for some other caches, I was very happy to find this one. Made my day, or actually, made my night.

After 2 times down a fellow cacher helped locate it. Was quite a stretch to retrieve.Great hiding place. Thank you for the fun.
Last day of my holidays; visiting from Canada....Saw the container right away but couldn't get to it. Was ready to give up but noticed some other cachers and with a joint effort we did get it....thx Fitznin's. Left a Canadian flag lapel pin
It was almost time to turn in but we thought that one more find might be the go. This one sounded intriguing so Alsume and I headed to GZ where we really did have to think and act quick to nab the find at 22:50. What an amazing "hide" .
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks wacko_jacko2154.

Our last for the night before heading back to the hotel and getting some sleep before the big meeting tomorrow. Found with Eudes at 10:50pm and a quick grab it was!

I went up and down these escalators many times, might need to get my eyesight checked...
I've seen this cache a few days ago, but i don't want to log it because my 1000th should be the "World cache". After finishing the Wolrd cache today i went back here and grab this really easy und very obvious one.

One of a string of many DNF's today with medical marcus. There weren't too many people, but I guess we aren't very attuned to big city caching, there's no rocks to look under.
We were really keen to find this one as it seemed like a great idea, but after quite a lot of looking we still came up with nothing.

Needed to get out of the office, stretch the legs and make some vitamin D in the sun.
I had walked by here a few weeks earlier, but had no luck. This time I spotted it immediately - on the way up. [:p]
The retrieval was quick, filled in the overfull log sheet and headed back up.
I thought I had the all clear on the way down, but then noticed a pair of men 10m behind. Just as I was comtemplating another trip, they walked up the steps . Needless to say it was quickly put back.
Clever cache. Cheers.

That one was amazing! We had three rides on the escalator until we managed to grab it and another two to put it back. Funny that no one got suspicious!
Found this cache immediately before I had to head back for the airport. Nice way of completing a trip to Sydney. Thanks.
Found this one on the first go around but couldn't reach it. Got it on the second try. This was the most fun we've had retrieving and replacing a cache in a long time. TFTC SL

That took a bit longer to find. I had to take the escaltor 4 times before the cache was done because it took a while to locate it, to grab it, and to put it back.

Found @ 2025, Qf on the first run through, it was easy to spot as it is a little glue in the dark….
After watching this one weeks on my way to and from work and had the perfect chance this morning to nab it. Thank God for wet cold Sunday mornings.
I shall always see it on my way to work now. Ha Ha
Oh and today I had to go up from the harbour. stupid escalators always breaking.

Found it almost immediately, grabbed it on the second pass. There were a LOT of muggles around, and it took about five attempts to re-hide the cache! Brilliant location! Thanks!
Didn't think I could be this quick before my first coffee. Cool "hide". After finding this one you realize how much people are not aware of their surroundings.

The name and the cache description says it all! We had to think quickly and use awesomeness to retrieve this cache!
We spent a bit of time looking in the wrong place, which we later discovered was actually directly above GZ.
We will be talking about how awesome this cache was for a long time

Grabbed it during lunch today. Muggle factor was pretty low considering it was early afternoon on a weekday.
I'd spotted it last week but didn't have time to make the grab and then wait for a clearing to replace so I had to leave it till today. Thanks for the cache!

Mr Explorer was in Sydney for a few days so took a work mate (Kim) out for an early morning walk. Kim spotted the cache on the first pass but was too short to grab it on the second. Mr KE therefore grabbed it it and replaced it on the third trip. Great fun, thanks.
Took a few trips down to see this one, and then once we saw, wondered how we'd missed it! Damn that's visible
Clever cache. Got to remember that one...

Spotted the cache a week ago on a reconinance mission. came back today to get hold of it and write a note. Love the placement.
I really enjoyed this one and planned to do it the following day on a trip to Syndey. Old mates dragged me out fora drink at DArling harbour. When walking back to my motel I thought I would just have at look while is was quite. (10.30pm) went Up & down twice and the I spotted the cache. One more dwon trip and I had the cache in hand. With no muggles about easy to replace. i was gald I read to logs and I was able to getthis one without the use of my GPSR.

Up and down, up and down ... Saw it on the first up or down, realised it was the cache on the second up and down. Picked it up on third up and down. Replaced in on the forth trip.
down and up, down and up, down "oh there it is, damn missed it", up and down "Bingo"... up and down.
We were out for dinner... I was so close, I had to try and find this one!
Up and down too many times! Last time and I found it...
Thanks, I like it...

This has to be the cutest one I have done so far. You have heard it before up/down & do it again a few more times. At night it can be done just takes a few more trips....at least for me it did. TFTH
loved this cache, right there is plain view yet i still missed the first few times. I think i got some strange looks from people after the 3 time up/down.
Great find. I agree with TV, people who mess up other peoples caches just for the fun of it make me angry.
I had to have a double take for this one before I found where it was, got there in the end though TFTC
Not sure if or when I would find this one. After the third trip there and many times down I'm able to log a find but only because of help from The Voucher. TFTC
I only live 10 mins walk from this cache and finally found some time to look for it.
#161 @ 9:00am - A quick grab today without any pilgrims or overly attentive security personnel in the area. You do need to be quick, though! Log will need replacing soon due to the ISAAC BROWN factor previously advised by the voucher. TFTC.
What a great idea for a cache!
Went up, then down. No cache. Looked up, and spotted from the ground. So up again, then waiting for a gap. Down again, missed it. By this time the up-escalator had broken down (I was tempted to sabotage the down-escalator as well... would have made retrieval much easier... - no, it wasn't me who sabotaged the up-escalator). Walked up. Then escalator down. Gave up. Too many muggles. Grrrr.
Came back later, after finding other caches in the area. Down, grabbed it. Walking up (still broken). Filled out log, down again, replaced it. Easy. (not really - but it was fun!).
Greetings from Queensland! TFTC

A combined effort with Hoojar at lunch located this one. A very sneaky little hide! Took one ride down and up to locate, one up and down to grab and one up and down to put back!
Don't know why I missed it the other two trips here but today it was found quickly. TFTC!

Difficulty is a matter of height...at 5'6" I deserve another star! Found it yesterday, went back this morning and got it on my third lap. Blatant hide, cool cache. Hope it lasts...SL TFTC
On a quick trip to Sydney with just the coords and unsure of size, hints etc I found this one was too hard. I made the escalator as the area to look but didn't realise it was in plain view, which may have made it easier. Oh well- maybe next time.
Got this on my second visit, went out with one of the wandering wilkos armed with some intell. from Philma! Can't believe we missed it the previous time. Great hide! SL TFTC
This was a nemisis Cache for me, don't you hate it when you see everyong else finding it with ease whilst you miss it!!!. After twe failed attempts I mad a call for help and was given a slight shove in the right direction. Spotted immediately in an area I'd overlooked. Fortunately when xragon and I did eventually find the Cache it was early in the morning and we were able to extract and replace easily.
Good Hide and thanks for the execuse for the odd city walk.

Had a quick look today with muzza_fattire. Bumped into Philma on the search. As per Team Bloopy rules we can't claim the find unless we are both there - so we will be back.
Nice to finally meet you Philma!

Just in from California this morning after seeing it from home and wondering ....could I possibly be in time for an FTF from 7500 miles away? Obviously not......Headed over from my nearby hotel this afternoon and rode the excalator 5 or 6 times before spotting the cache. Great idea....A minor problem though. The person who found this earlier today, judging from the date, signed laterally along the entire page of the logsheet doing his/her best to ruin the sheet....The log read ISAAC BROWN dated 6-7-08....I suspect a muggle of sorts...or a geocacher who gets a kick out of attempting to ruin the fun for others....At any rate, we can still log our finds by squeezing them in the open spaces....If I had an extra log sheet with me I would have added it...Thanks for the good cache. tv

a really sneaky hide Wacko. Unfortunately didn't read attributes first and took snowmobile which had difficulty slowing down on the escalator. The cctv camera observer must wonder whats up...[^]
Isaac actually found it with me. But I logged it in first. Cool spot but some people infront of us were looking at it strangly like
"What the hell is that! doing there"
"What the hell is that! doing there"
Bugger.
I was all set to head off and grab this one, when I noticed in the attributes that it wasn't suitable for snowmobiles....

I'll just check the map before heading out to confirm where those nearby unfound caches are... hang on, that one wasn't there this morning... Went and had a pretty good look around GZ- thought I was busted after someone approached me but it was Wilko from the Wandering Wilkos. We had a fair discussion about this one and in the end I left for Wilko to continue on but I left empty handed.
