It was a great cache and we got loooooots of lovely comments for this one. Unfortunately we live now in the South Island and our support will be moving down here too, so we have decided to discontinue this cache. If anybody wants to resurrect it, feel free.
Sorry it took so long to do something about it. I am getting somebody currently to reinstate this cache. Will write again when it is active again. hopefully within the week.
Have noted that this cache has not been found for 8 months and no owner checks on cache have been done in that time despite DNF's. Suggest at least disabling.
Solved puzzle with no problems. Got to correct cache location with out any doubt. Had a real good search, Used hint but not a sign of the cache. Suspect gone.
No luck at the final for me, gave it a good search and came up with nothing. Nice walk around town though.
I did have an Idea where it was and I was correct! it was a bit hard to get to and I hope you have luck finding one too (6yrs old)
A pleasant stroll around town and a quick find at the final once the muggles had moved on. NINO TFTC
Driving through the Muraltown thought we might see if we could find this one. Pouring down with rain, great weather for ducks. Jumping in and out of the car, performing U turns in the middle of town, all to get the relevant clues that we needed from all over Katikati, we must have looked like complete idiots. We were laughing, and drenched, but we found the right co-ordinates and put them in the right sequence, on the 3rd attempt....... Loved it!
A very enjoyable multi-cache which gives a good insight into early days around Katikati. Had some fun finding one of the murals until eagle eyes spotted a map in a shop window which showed where all the towns 45 murals are. Away laughing after that. You can't not have a coffee while doing this particular cache!!! Thanks for a well thought out cache.
We really enjoyed doing this one, eventually bought a booklet and saw all of them TFTC
On a caching mission in BoP with Tufty. Did the groundwork on Friday night, but back today for final. Great cache.
Coldstream and I were on a cache raid to the Western Bay of Plenty. We had done the homework two nigts ago but when we approached the GZ there were some unsavoury locals around so we beat a hasty retreat and left the final for today.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
A very enjoyable multi. We have always admired the murals as we drove through Katikati, so it was great to get a closer look. It was dark by the time we started this cache, and we were pleased the final wasn't too far away. Thanks for the fun.

Very enjoyable afternoon out with the boys. Had to wait quite a while to be able to replace the cache due to several muggles hanging around.

Really enjoyed doing this cache & it was reasonably quick to complete for a multi. Found cache at GZ thanks to the good hint! Took Flight of the conchords geocoin & left Nudibrach geocoin. TFTC.
Really liked this one and enjoyed a relaxed wander around the town. The littlies especially enjoyed 'E' & 'F'. Placed travelcoin.
We must have picked the hottest day of the year and when there was a lot of traffic on the main road. Had a wonderful walk around town and found the well hidden cache. TFTC.
Great murals. Found with Little Blue Hen on way to Coromandel. Delayed us a while but most impressive to come to a place with no visible graffiti. Muggled two cachers after having milkshake when multi completed.TFTCSL
Found with Bkj97 on way to Coromandel.Impressed with the murals, Photographed lots of bits of the kids one in the alley for grandson.Bkj97 couldn't resist muggling a pair of cachers as we returned to the car.TFTCSL
JDSavannah and I enjoyed this one, and were rumbled near the end by a cacher who had just finished the cache. Nice to meet fellow fanatics. TFTC, most enjoyable!
Thoroughly enjoyable search for the information and the final was an easy find with no one around. Thanks for sharing the wonderful artwork T4TC.

Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 626. Thanks.
Worked from B&W photos, and had a debate on #C, only to discover we had to get cose to verify the non-mural aspects.
A great walk of discovery. With a diversion to the Art & mural centre.
Enjoyed the final location.

A nice meander around town, and then extreme stealth required for the cache. Many thanks we enjoyed having a proper look at the murals. -TB.
We managed to sneak this one in while we were on a rally, cool murals and nice hide. In: Stinky Skunk TB Out: Nothing. TFTC
We did this one in stages and each time we passed through found a couple. Makes for a very scenic town.TFTC
Hmmm. I have spotted barry and his companion before but couldn't locate him today, maybe they had gone for a walk, maybe I was trying to rush the cache to much. Will be back.
Our third today. Good directions. Picked up coin. a few little muggles near by. Jason says, "we are not wizards!!!!"
Nice place to stop for lunch. Enjoyed the walk around town and located cache easily. TFTC
Thought this was a top multi, and really enjoyed the tour. Had to call the pictures up on the PDA cause we hadn't any printed out, but it all worked just fine. Well done! TFTC
On a bike trip with Ullysses Club today and this was the end point of the ride.
Nice day for a stroll. Thanks for the cache
Nice day for a stroll. Thanks for the cache
this was a neat way to see all the art work, not the best view at night, so will have to return to view next time through Katikati. we were helping the local St John youth division for the night

Easily found all the required murals and sculptures, but boy did we wander about town trying to find GZ. Felt a bit silly, when standing beside a new subdivision across the river and saw we had been well and truly "framed"; we must have walked past that spot 3 or 4 times.

neat walk around on a cold June day, there was no sign of the coin. 1 of the mrals had us stumped as the shop owner had a board up against the wall.
never to mind found the cache in good condition.

Very enjoyable multi-cache. Raewyn and I had a nice ander about the town and went straight to the hide. Set TB free in Katikati T4TC
What a wicked way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon with kids. Nice walk around the main street, introduced some newbies to it and converted them!
Nice to see the murals incorporated into a cache, I'd never
stopped to walk along them all before. TNLN, thanks.

A very pleasant way to spend a Saturday morning admiring the towns artwork. TFTC
this was a very high muggle area, felt very conspicuous, but it could also have been the hat with the purple peacock ontop, that i was wearing. Thanks for the cache, loved the art.
A wonderful stop for us two Jafa's on the way home.
A whole new way to look at the art. Took a photo with Barry. Final is almost too easy. Threw a handful of debri over it to help with the concealment.
Really glad we stopped in Kati Kati today the first of our hunts here today.
+"Chops" Travel Slug. Our second trackable release.

Well very pleased to get this one off our DNF (even if not really - more DNL ) list, no homeless bums, in fact nobody but the Council Toilet Cleaners anywhere nearby at 7am on a Saturday morning. Quick easy find, as we already knew where to look! TFTC TNLN

Its a nice multicache but I can understand how this cache got raided by muggles, the final waypoint is very exposed.
Have placed a new cache. So all is up and running again. The cache is this time a round container. The size is similar to a big peanut butter jar. The new goodies are:
motorbike; Mickey Mouse, LC 37 Ink for Brother Printer, mini spirit level, snow man.
Cheers

The Freezer Mice did not get to strike again.
Picked the perfect time to make our way around Katikati and got all the clues required, and the co-ords certainly matched the final location.
Sadly all that was recovered was a black plastic bag full of empty bourbon cans.
Will be back another day for another attempt.

Hi, this cache got muggled and I will have to create a new one. Until this is done, this cache stays disabled. Sorry
Its gone. Drove through this morning but too busy so came back at about 7pm when not so much traffic about. Got all the clues andwent to the right spot. Saw a black bag at the right spot but it was filled with empty cans. Freezer mice took a photo of the area to send to confirm we were in the right spot.

Not really a DNF as we did the walk through town puzzle and worked out the final Co-ords, and even got to within 2 metres from the cache, even saw it!!!! Would have touched it if not for the 2 possibly homeless drunks sitting on the other side of the trees, but in full view of a possible cache grab. We even went away to do the nearby Lesley Lane cache to return in the hope they had moved on but no... Then one went away to the nearby restrooms but still there was a pair of eyes watching us, the 2nd guy ended up coming back and approached us and we talked with him for about 10 minutes as he discussed how the land through the framed view used to be farmland on which he used to ride his horse, and how he had hunted the kaimai's before a good chunk of the bush was transformed into farmland, and how he had been to aussie for 30 years, and how 1 and 1 makes 1 not 2, and if it was 2 then you would be a seperated entity, blah blah, hey if i have to listen to it then i will log it so you all can listen to it too.......... haha.
Will pick up the find on a quick drive by snatch cache grab next time we are passing.

Have always just driven straight through Katikati but really enjoyed the stop today and the wander around town looking at all the artwork.
Many thanks
Many thanks
NICE WET DAY -REASONABLE EASY AND QUICK CLUES WOULD BE NICE VIEW ON A SUMMERS DAY -IN- JUMBOZ CALLING CARD
well worth the exta couple of minutes tracking down the clues, to a well placed hide! Cheers Muzy Man! TNLN
With the "Storm of the Decade" approaching we thought we'd try to become stormchasers and maybe pick up a cache before it blew away! We chased the storm and never really found it, but we found the cache instead and gained another FTF. The weather wasn't as bad as we expected, a bit of rain but not too much wind.
A quick dash to the cache and we hardly got wet. Swapped the Kingfisher geocoin for the Zr7's Trainset Coin.
Thanks for an exciting day out and an enjoyable cache.

Hi Zero Gravitas,
I have loaded the pictures. What do I need to do to make them permanently visible, so people can print out the page?
