Out on a maintenance run with the CO and Zobo04. Such a great day for it and just cool and windy enough to keep most of the muggles away. After a short search I spotted what I was looking for.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache and the fun day

Found with Surefoot24. Grabbed clue. Container seems to have lost it's attraction partner. TFTC

Another curious word puzzle. And another I only glanced at a couple of days ago. The coordinates fell into place fairly quickly and the cache itself was similarly quick to reveal itself. Thanks Hell+Back and Gonefishen07!
Found with my family - becca85, boo09 & chan02 as well as GemmaSistma & boys on a roadtrip for the school holidays. Sorry for the very tardy logging. TFTC
Found during our super fun roadtrip to Phillip Island with my Team Clarmensma family - becca85, GemmaSistema, neisha07, Adam & Lukey. We found lots of caches and saw lots of different animals- including a penguin in the wild! TFTC!
School holiday time once again which means Team Clarmensma is formed (myself+GemmaSistema+neisha07+boo09+Adam+Luke) and one lucky destination gets to host us.
This time it was Phillip Island and decided to make a 3 day road-trip of it.
The weather treated us fairly well and we enjoyed the many beautiful views and landscapes that we were taken to. TFTC!

In Philip Island for a few days of caching with becca85 and our geokids - Adam, Luke, neisha07 and boo09. Quick find here! More fab views and onto the next! Many thanks
Found this one in the second place I looked. A place I never knew was here. Thanks for the hunt.
This was our second mystery cache for the day after getting excited once we finally solved the puzzle for number 6. This was part of our diving trip turned geocaching trip due to the friendly (or not) Bass Strait weather. Lots of muggles around, however we picked the cache up under the cover of pokemon!
I had great fun working this one out. Whatever problems existed with the cache's position have been fixed because the co-ords led us straight to the goods. Tftc.
Checked on this one today and moved slightly as what it was attached to is no longer there. Thanks to whom ever left the cache behind where the post once was.
We are in this neck of the woods for a few days so this was another hunt for the elusive find.
Well done to Gonefishing07 for adopting all these caches and keeping them alive.
A lot of time went into solving all these caches and now it is time to try and find some of them.
As noted this container has lost it's lid, the cache itself is damp as you would expect so a little TLC is required by the new owner of this cache and I am sure that will happen.

With the continuation of great weather, we went back to Phillip Island for some sightseeing
and to pick up a few more caches.
Worked our way through as many of the puzzles as we could, and a few traditionals as well.
Thanks to all the owners, for the effort that you put into the construction and the hides.
Many thanks for placing this cache, hell+back, for us and others to find.

As mentioned in my log, cache container is rusted through and bottomless. Please replace. Thanks.
This was a great puzzle I enjoyed solving last night - hit two snags in one of the bird names and in choosing what category to use to exclude one bird - but got there in the end. We did some naughty parking opposite the path to the cache and walked in marvelling at the rabbit warrens everywhere and the rabbit corpses and a bird corpse (thankfully not smelly). We found gz, hubby declared the cache not there a moment before I spotted it by getting down to its level. The container is ruined - rusted through and bottomless. TFTC hell+back, I'll be logging a needs maintenance.
Another day of caching on the Island with the family....another day of changeable weather. Great excuse to be out and about. We spent all together too long looking for this one! After dismissing the obvious location we searched high and low (well mainly low) until we revisited the obvious.....obviously it was there...TFTC.
Found this with the familiy. Mum and Dad worked out the puzzles then we all went to find them together. Thanks for this series - it's been great fun!
Enjoyed unscrambling the puzzle and the fun scrarmbling to find the cache.

Spending a couple of days in the area and had the chance every now and then to grab a cache. Really wish I had the time to get them all but that simply wasn't going to happen on this trip. Found the cache tucked away nicely and in good condition
We have wanted to do this series of caches for a very long time and finally our travels have bought us close by. A fine day and awesome scenery made this a caching day to remember. We ventured from spot to spot, occasionally groaning at yet another set of steps and another walk through the sand but then the incredulous comments about the shape of the rocky outcrops, the changing colour of the rocks, the changing sea or the way the sea looked like waterfalls coming off the rocks. As the day turned into night we experienced an amazing sunset with the hues changing to soft and calming colours. During the course of the day we saw Cape Barren Geese, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Sea Eagles and penguins. Our company for the day LazzaL, Gonefishen07 and when school finished Zobo04 joined in the hunt, we could not have asked for better. Thanks to hell+back for the enormous effort in organizing this variety of caches and for showing us the beauty spots of Phillip Island.
A very big day doing this series of caches with Liz and Gonefishen07, some very challnging walks to the caches and some extremely beautiful scenery. This is definitely at least a 2 day exercise to get all of this series. Home at 8pm with pizza for dinner, the rest will have to wait. Thanks to hell+back for hiding this cache.
Found with Liz & Bruce and Lazzal on a perfect day for caching. I was very lucky to be able to tag along with these teams today and gather knowledge from them. These teams carry a wealth on knowledge. It was also a pleasure to be able to show them some fantastic local sights. It was a fun filled day with lots of walking, talking and laughs. Thanks for helping me show them around the island. Thanks to hell+back
On holidays from queensland with the rest of the family. I was looking forward to caching around the island..
A short walk from the road toward GZ. No-one around and found the cache in the only possible spot.

Finally ticked this one off the list after a DNF last time. Emily's keen eyes helped out here. Thanks again H&B for the series.
Found this cache without too much trouble as there weren't too many muggles around. Noticed the house with the same name nearby. TFTC
A quick find. No-one on the beach today...not for much longer...almost tourist season. TFTC

We ventured out into the wind and rain on another cold and bleak day. We took a few strokes in this series about three years ago and with extra workouts and training at home, our wish to return has become a reality. The weather radar application on the mobile proved its worth as we timed our cache gathering in between breaks in the rain. No crazy birds here to day, only silly geocachers.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt hell+back.

NOTE:- Minor milestone, our 6,800th Groundspeak geocache find.

We had completed this initial work on the puzzles in the "Not Drowning - Ccahing" series before leaving Tassie for this holiday. Today we were able to start looking for the caches. The sun had certainly set when we went to look for this cache and a torch was required. We must have made a minor error in the solution as we eventually found the cache about 15m from where our GPS indicated GZ should have been located. We had the important parts of the solution correct and that, thankfully, when combined with the hint enabled us to make a find. We were lucky. The cache and it's contents were in good condition. TFTC hell+back - we are really looking forward to hunting for other caches in the series.
Missed a fine opportunity to photograph my own 'crazy bird'. Parked in the wrong spot, so it was a longer walk than really needed, but at least the rain had stopped. A good challenge hell+back. Enjoying this series.

Day three of our assault down here and we didn't grab good numbers today, instead choosing to take it easy for the morning. This one however, bogonghazy and I managed to grab. Thanks to hell+back for the puzzles and the caches.

Team Mornington, Hazey1, Biger12, MrMcGee and myself on an April Fools day caching run on the island again today.
Grabbed a few and finished off others.
Nice day, for a few caches, looking for one of the new "TINY" caches
Much work done in past to solve most of this series, now is the time to start picking them up.
Really enjoying this series.

Date 9th Mar 2013
Time 1:29 PM
My regular caching partner SedgwickDave has left me for a holiday in Western Australia, so I decided to head out to an area he had already covered and find as many caches as possible. My main target was the hell+back Not Drowning, Caching series, which I had managed to solve most caches some time ago, but it was not until today that I had the opportunity to go and find them. As it was going to be a very hot day, I was keen to head out early when hopefully it was a bit cooler.
There were some workers on the road doing some sort of electrical work so I needed to park a bit away for this one. Once at GZ, a nice quick find.
Thanks to hell+back for the cache. TNLN

Suscoe's 12th find of a beautiful morning.
We solved this puzzle two years ago but time got away from us.
Searched and Mrs. S said look there and there it was.
Nice spot and a lovely view.
It must be full of mutton birds every night thumping into the sand.
A little black rabbit was spotted on the way to GZ.
Thanks to hell+back for yet another terrific challenge.

Solved this before heading down your way for a few days. Couldn't believe the traffic on the island. We are from Bacchus Marsh and have no traffic like that ever. As a result we only looked for a few puzzle caches.
It was so hot that I forgot to take note of the info and I lost my trusty micro extraction tool with pretty ribbons on it so that I don't leave it behind! Oh well, too late now.
I was well on the way home in our old, old non - airconditioned car before I realised my mistake. This was our geo mobile for a few days because it will carry bikes and mine won't.
Really enjoyed your puzzle, which challenged me a little because I could make any bird be odd depending on my criteria as you well know. Any way logic dictated and the cache was located and the log signed.

Had solved this one some months ago and as I was on the isalnd today and had some time after spending the day timing at the race track, was able to attempt a couple of this puzzle series. Found the right side street nd parked in a safe spot (notblocking a driveway or the road) and wandered off on the boardwalk over the fragile vegetation. This windswept dune scenery is just brilliant and with nice early evening light makes for a pretty scene. Got to GZ and as has been noted previously, thanks for putting it at the top of the stairs, and had the cache in hand after a short search. Thanks to hell+back for another in this series, and for bringing me to this fantastic spot.
I was very pleased that we found this one before we had to head off down the steps. Down's fine, it's the trip back up I don't enjoy!
Thanks for yet another one in this great series

# 635. The 2nd ND,C series for me. Out and about today with the CO and Robmc doing a cache and clue check. Luckily I had solved 13 of these at home. A nice quick find for me with the help of the clue. TNLN, Thanks H+B.
#2884 What's one more series cache when you find yourself so close. Another nice puzzle concept that was nice to solve. We arrived at GZ and found very limited parking - luckily we managed to keep the car off the road and not bog it . A relatively quick find for us here in comparison to much of the series that we'd already completed. No clue was found in this cache, hopefully it won't thwart our end attempt. Thanks Hell+Back for the puzzle & placement.
After a full school term with exam after exam, I didn't get to do much caching. This was all going to change however when I started to plan an assault on Philip Island. I started to think of which town would be best to assault to raise me from the dead after my abysmal effort in the earlier months. With 3 different series, a power trail, and a handful of other caches, Philip Island was the place to go. So I started solving the puzzles and making a few phone calls so I would have the best chance of finding a heap. I solved most of the puzzles, however some of them required a bit of a nudge or someone else to realise my error. I started to think about my route in a way that would get me the most finds possible. We ended up with 55 in one day, and 87 for the whole weekend which was a fantastic effort . The weather was very on and off for the whole weekend which made some journeys quite unpleasant, however on the whole it was awesome. The Nobbies was a definite highlight for me. We started off the day with the 'Pathway' and managed to complete it and all of the other caches along the trail in just over 4 hours. What an awesome weekend! Thank you to all of the owners who contributed, but especially hell+back and The Three Geo Amigos (you know who you are)!

10/06/12 10:41 AM Find #1026 Its cache skirmish (and crazy bird time) for ABL973 and Square_Pegs today on Phillip Island and this was one that we found. Thanks hell+back.
Caching with abl973 today, we had not attempted this one last time thinking that it was missing. I am pleased we tried today, as there was certainly another nice view to be had from here. I only spotted the Original CrazyBirds cottage on our way back though! Thanks hell+back for another puzzle and cache in the series.
(I couldn't see the clue for the final in the cache container or on the log, so I am not sure if it is there?)

Two weeks ago The Demolition Team took a Monday night caching trip to the island where a good number of caches were collected. At that time, we knew that we would have to come back to complete the island and tackle some of the harder multi’s. So once again we headed south to collect as many more as we could with the limited time we had available. Once again the Roostaman joined in the fun on this very wet and very very windy night for what turned out to be one of the most extreme rock hopping, surf dodging caching nights any of us had done. The wild weather added to the excitement of the night and every cache presented the team with an environmental challenge or two. Good thing I was wearing my GP’s. With the permission of the cache owners, a number of caches were replaced as they had gone missing, our way of saying thank you for such an eventful couple of nights on the Island. Our only regret was missing out on a number of the western caches as we did not realise this part of the island is closed at night to protect the penguin population for human interference. With a full night of caching we probably would have completed all the active caches remaining available to us, but time tonight was limited and we headed home at a reasonable hour, cold and wet, but very pleased with our efforts. Thanks to all the cache owners, and in particular Hell+Back, for her caching placement efforts.
We came back here to replace the container. Boardwalks were slippery, and Blacklegend found out the hard way.

Another legendary night caching run by TDC (The Demolition Crew) + 1. A sensational 78 find run to Phillip Island and back with the usual TDC members - myself, TrailRunning and Quasar3671 and one other, the legendary "Roostaman" from Wagga. The trip started in the Dandenong area, and progressed around Westernport and all the way to the other end of Phillip Island. There were several foci for the night, those being the powertrails up the middle of the island, as well as the Drowning, Not Caching puzzle series. We didn't get all the puzzle series done, but we did smash the powertrail. A sensational night, great company, chicken rolls, and an impromptu stop at an abandoned lounge suite on the side of the road, which made for a great "chicken roll" break.
Another one down in this great series. Thought we would have a crack at it, based on previous logs. Eventually found the log sheet, in a spot indicative of the hint. We were very lucky, but, I'll take it. TFTC.

Well it was another Monday night, and it was time for the Demolition Crew to get out and grab some caches. This time the Roostaman joined us for a night fun in the area of Phillip Island. As Quasar3671 had already done many on the Island, he joined Blacklegend and I in the wee hours of the morning to collect those caches he had not yet done. All in all it was a fun night with cheerful banter, chicken rolls and the odd refreshment. While we were not able to clear out the whole island, we grabbed as many as we could, with only 2 DNF in 80 caches. The run started in Dandenong, with a few caches for Blacklegend, but we soon found an area where all of us were happy to collect the smilies. This one had us for a while. Something wasn't right with GPS but finally found an object that would match the hint and the log sheet was found, no magnetic container. Lucky we found it really, but we signed the log and went on our merry way.
Found on a fantastic night caching run around Phillip Island with Blacklegend and TrailRunning, joined later by Quasar3671. We were not sure if it would be there, but checked it anyway, and found a log sheet to log. It does need maintenance but it is still there. Another good hide in this series found, then we were on the road again. TFTC,

Found Crazybird cottage, headed to GZ but after lots of searchign in all the logical places, gave up, i'M sure it's there, i'll have to come back with the Geocaching goggles on. TFTH
I had solved a few of this series in readiness for a trip down to the Island this weekend and this was my second one. In the end though, it proved somewhat problematic. Originally, I was looking for a container in the 'usual' location but a squiz at the hint refocussed my attention and not long after I had a logsheet in hand at 07:55.
Why the indefinite article 'a'? Well, all I could find was the logsheet in its press-seal bag jammed in where I guess the original container is roughly supposed to be. There was definitely no container, at least not one that matched the hint , and no clue .
I'll ping it with a 'Needs Maintenance' log but I apologise if this is how the cache is now meant to be.
Thankfully, the views nearby were fantastic on this sensational morning .
TNLNSL, and our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Hell+Back.

We found this cache as a part of a non-stop 24 hour caching run with Marcus Vitruvius.
We logged 207 caches in the 24hr period, and this was one of them.
This was one of the many "Not Drowning, Caching" puzzles we were able to solve and log whilst on the island tonight.
No crazy birds tonight - just us crazy cachers. Took a little bit to locate this one.
Many thanks hell+back for a great series of puzzles and caches - quite enjoyable. TNLN SL. Cheers.

This was another find today as part of a 24hr caching run that yielded 207 cache finds with Haveanez. This is one of the few puzzles we were able to work out before making our way here, but after searching around our calculated GZ, we finally found the cache away for the coords. This was the first in this series found and we were looking to more.

After solving this puzzle ages ago we finally have the opportunity to spend a weekend on PI to try to get as many caches as we can. Found this one easily but the poor cache container is rusty an nearly at the end of it's life. TFTC....SL.....TNLN
A trip down to the Island gave me the opportunity to have a go at some of the 'Not Drowning , Caching' series. As with most of the puzzles in the series I had this solved a little while ago. Went to the final coords but they didn't seem right. Rechecked the numbers and found I'd made a simple letter number conversion and addition error. A quick recalc and I was at GZ in no time with the cache in hand. Log signed and cache rehidden.

Found by my s-i-l once she had the clue. The area was deserted today which is just as well given Lady Morris contortions. A nice little puzzle and a very scenic spot. TFTC
Found in another scenic spot. Another classic hide.

When we had searched for this quite some time ago, and been unable to finish it due to a sign being muggled! Thanks to the owner for re-jigging the clues, so we were able to successfully find the cache this time around. It was worth another visit too, we love the beaches here. TFTC.
thanks to finders' logs I knew this container was deteriorating, so we looked in on it today in passing - and just as well too!
found the container had been dislodged, so we replaced the container then rehid in its correct location

Found on our big adventure around Phillip Island with crank1(mum) and Everlasting.

Found by Mary & David at 0810. Almost deserted, except for one couple and their dog having an early morning swim. The container was very difficult to open, as the lid is rusting onto the body of the container. Another place we hadn't explored before. Our thanks again to Hell+Back.
