26 October 2024 17:14 dalerious and I are guessing that the information board has been updated, and thus one question will be hard to answer. We managed to take a guess at that particular number and managed to come up trumps.Enjoyed the walk and exploring the area.Thank you again, Sons of Callum.
Found with catnap777 on our first visit to Paradise Falls. The info boards have changed and one of the answers is no longer represented. Our educated guess paid off.Past logs and images helped us fill the gaps and we made the walk to see what we could see and surprised ourselves by being able to snag this one. Then we went for a wander to see what everyone else comes here to see and were pretty amazed by that too. TFTC Sons of Callum. From here we headed back down the road to visit the Little Falls careful not to plunge 18 meters to our doom.
Who doesnt love waterfalls, especially exploring the paths less travelled around them , some amazing locations surrounding these falls all easily accessible from the car park Thanx for the Adventure Sons of Callum Stay Dirty 209912:05pmSmokeyBearOG
After enjoying a few hours of kayaking on Lake William Hovell yesterday, today's priority was to explore these falls. After gathering the information at WP/1 (we struggled with question B), we took a lovely meander along the track to reach the falls. Taking our time without any rush, we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the falls before getting down to the reason that brought us to this location. We were lucky there were no muggles around to distract us as we searched. Our GPS wasnt playing nicely, sending us around in circles. After about half an hour, the GPS finally got on board and pointed us in a totally different direction which did the trick. On our return, we probably passed at least 50 people, mostly kids.Thank you Sons of Callum for bringing us to this little slice of paradise.
My Lord. 3 favourite points. For a winner like her. Spot that will blow your socks off. Amazing. The boys wanted to see the location from the movie 'Up' and boy did they get it.

We had a go at this but no matter how many times we read the sign we couldn't find the drop of the little falls to be able to work out the coordinates of GZ. Not sure if the sign has changed since the previous find a year ago or uf we missed something. It also seems that any signs to little falls have been removed from the road in.
Regardless of a DNF if was a good place for some lunch and a walk to the falls. Not much water today.

Visited with the kids today. First time here for them, not much water but still stunning!
Here I am at Paradise with my friend “Paradise” - turns out here name means Paradise in Tajik which we learnt during trekking in Tajikistan!! Numbers somehow worked out and GZ located. Quite a wow factor down here. TFTC and the fun.
Yes, I think it is. These falls were definitely worth the drive down from Wang. I have to thank the guy at the visitor information centre for highly recommending this place.
I do recall reading something about not going behind.... but everyone else was and under isn't technically behind, right? I had a refreshing shower, found a huge heart shaped stone (when getting to wash my shoes after a messy DNF), loved the geology, thought the lush greens against the rusty rock were exciting to the eye, and just loved looking at these falls from all angles.
I love when people hide caches at magnificent places like this. Finding a cache here was just a bonus. But... guess who lost their pen at the last cache. Thankfully I have a multitool on my keyring that has a tool that could help me out. Photo attached with others.
This cache deserves a fave point for its location. Hopefully I have one to give you for it. We're about to find out!
Thanks

My 2nd visit it the falls, lovely walk after spending the arvo kayaking on Lake William Hovell. Tftc !
Took a while to find it- you don’t need to venture too far off the main track.. our coordinates were about 10m off where it was
I have been here many times before but this is the first time things have clicked and I've had time and the knowledge to find this one. Well it was a lot easier than I thought and loved the falls flowing nicely.
Dry today but great cache. Initially couldn’t find but read other logs. Went down for a couple of steps and lo behold. Tftc
An extended easter weekend camping trip, with a few caches along the way.
A few of us headed here to visit the spectacular f.... hmm... the area where we assume usually has falling water.
Anyhoo, we gathered most of the info, and guessed the missing bit. Had a few muggle friends helping us, and eventually RoamingHowie found the cache.
Thanks for your contribution to our gameboard, Sons of Callum

Day 15 on a multi location camping trip. Today a group of us (both muggles and non muggles) went exploring the local area.
The main target was Paradise falls. We arrived and gathered the necessary details at the information signs although like others, we were missing the little falls elevation. We worked out a range and headed down to the falls... wait... what falls? There was no water flowing today. So we set about searching. I soon noticed something in a previous log and after a little more research I found the necessary info and we narrowed down GZ for what was then a quick find.
Thanks Sons of Callum for the cache and series.

After visiting Little Falls we headed up the road to Paradise falls. A very different experience even though the falls are just as beautiful. The path has been constructed to allow easy access to this stunning area. Once we collected the information (and let out a sigh of relief that we had just done our last cache) we were off down to the falls. This area is so magnificent the cache took second place to the falls and we decided to hunt for it on our way back up. We found the cache after a considerable hunt - not sure why we found it that hard, but we did. Thanks for bringing us here.
TaurusSix and I were here 10 years ago and could not find the cache.
Today we were back and were looking forward to turning the sad face into a smile. The sad face blocked the icon and so I missed that it was a multi, so went down to the falls with the intention of hunting for the cache when we got back to the top. When I got back to the sign I could not find the information required about the little falls. I read both sides twice and scanned it multiple times.
So the DNF as we did not find the information required. Maybe a waypoint is needed to indicate where this extra bit of information may be found. A bit disappointing, as it may be another decade before we are back.

After seeing this cache was last loved before covid times, going back to almost a year and a half!. I had to go and find it,.. checking the voard for info i was stuck like other cachers were on the little falls question, but luckily i had phone reception to do an easy google search on it.. upon having the details i set down one again toward the falls to find the cache!..
Remeber to figure out the details first if you intent on doing this cache, otherwiae yoy will have to run 2 laps of the starcase gauntlet like i had to... raghh!!!..
I've always been one for exploring first and geosearching second.. anywho i rambled enough, thanks for the cache, this is an awesome location when the water is flowing!

I love venturing off the beaten track and finding locations like this!!! TFTC!!!
Second one for the day.
It was the holidays and with nothing planned for this day, I started convincing those family members who are old enough to drive that we should go caching for the day. Eventually, the nagging payed off and a trip to paradise falls and powers lookout was planned with hiking, bushbashing and riding with Bulldog! Only condition, I have to choose what caches to do.
We parked at the notice board and after a few minutes of reading the noticeboard and looking at a nearby caches page, we had all the info we needed. We walked down to the falls and after admiring it, we got into cache finding action and soon enough after the GPS jumped around, we found the cache, signed and returned. Nice spot and cache. TFTC

Second cache for the day with pigwigeon. We were a bit hasty due to a few DNFs here and there but after some general common sense, we were able to locate the cache. Nice little find! TFTC
Find Number 1973 found at 12:52. This was the 1st find of 9 finds and 4 DNF's today
We headed down to Paradise Falls as there were two caches not found for more than a year. Hopefully I can get a bit closer to my son's 50 forgotten years challenge.
This was the second cache, I DNFed the one at Little Falls. We did the necessary calculations, even there ws no info regarding the Little Falls drop and followed the path down to the lookout. Unfortunately there didn't seem to be any water coming over the falls. The recent rains in Wodonga obviously didn't make it this far south. The good news is that we found the cache and the log had no find since 16 Feb 20018, so that's 15 months unfound time to add to the collection.
The cache was in good condition. We took nothing, left nothing, signed the log and replaced the container as found
The path might be fine for those who are young and fit, but gill and I are neither young nor fit. Going down was not too bad, but coming back up was a struggle. We made it in the end and stopped for lunch at the top to get our breath back.
Thanks Sons of Callum for the cache.

Nice little multi, but the falls were totally dry, so it looks like we'll have to come back after some big rainstorms.

Found the missing information from the description of the cache down by Little Falls, so I got the coordinates nice and easily. A few people going to the falls, but managed to find and grab the cache in between two groups.
A few drops of water falling (you could only see them from directly underneath) but that was all. A guy there said it's really great when in full flow, and I can believe it. Impressive still without water.

Haven't been here for a few years & never seen the falls, falling. An amazing place to just sit & take in the ambience. Thanks for the cache.Found with Jimmytherat & Greg.
TFTC sons of Callum.! Thanks for the photos! Jimmytherat with Noelle04 and Greg.
After a bit of kerfaffleling with the puzzle pieces and finding the cache itself, we were rewarded with a fantastic view (oh, and a cache). The falls were really going at it, as it almost sounded like thunder!
I found out about this waterfall a couple of weeks ago and thought we'd have to make a trip out from Wangaratta to see it this winter. Today we had one goal and that was to head here (and find the geocache!)
Arriving early we went straight to the board to find the clues, only to find out one was missing. As we were reading the board a family arrived and headed down to the falls. I said to Emma, "let's head back to check out Little Falls and maybe we'll have the place to ourselves for some photos when we get back", so off we drove to the other falls.
After figuring out the final answer we returned in no time at all, only to discover 20 vehicles had arrived in our absence. Turns out this is a well known and popular waterfall... How did I not know about it before?
We headed up the track we thought the cache was on and checked out the top of the falls, then after a few photos we realized the cache was a few meters out over the cliff and it dawned on us what our mistake might be... Take 3. After a short walk and search the cache was discovered!
We spent a bit of time down at the bottom of the falls taking photos, which luckily I managed to get a few without children running around or adults basking in the sunshine.
Beaut falls, well worth having a cache at!
TFTC!

Print out of puzzle sheet was only half good. The board has been updated, missing 1 clue.
well 50% of the answer must put me in close to cache.
As we did the walk and crossed the axis of 1 of the co-ords, i did a search and soon had cache in hand.
Great location and loved the walls of stones, beautiful area. Might come bck when the FALLs is actuallya fall.
thanks.

Great spot. Had to resort to google for part of the puzzle. Drove back down to little falls but all signage has disappeared, so no answers there! We enjoyed this one, earns a favourite due to the amazing location. Tftc.
Found this with a little bit of help from Google, nice walk down, a bit harder getting back up! Love the waterfall, just a little bit of water coming down, such a beautiful area! We were coming here anyway, bonus that there was a cache here!
We can't believe its 6 months since this one was found! Easy find with longitude only as we couldnt pin down the latitude - we couldnt find one number, but it didn't matter. Thornbill turned up the cache quickly. Chatted to a muggle passing - could be a new convert! TFTC
Did our sums from the Information Board and climbed down the many steps to GZ. Checked here and there and finally located the sneaky hide at 5.50pm and then continued to the waterfall. Unfortunately there was no water falling over the rocks and it looked like it had been dry for some time. TFTC Sons of Callum. Sorry for the late log, finally catching up.
We found this on our Easter trip returning to old favorite spots in the North East from times past. It was about 5:50pm and we were in company with Beaver and Harrowang. There was no sign of any water falling today and the cache was tucked safely not far away. Took: 4 leaf clover and SL TFTC.
Could not get height of Little Falls but trusty iPhone and the Internet gave us the number. Falls were flowing nicely.
Couldn't find the fall for Little Falls but decided I could wing it, had a range for the GZ which included two trips up and down to the falls, eventually located the second prize as the falls are truely the first prize.
Took heaps of photos.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Now it's up the hill to check on Bill.

After a couple of false starts trying to pinpoint the location of the cache, I finally had a "d'oh" moment that lead me to the vicinity of the cache and after a bit of scrabbling around the terrain we were able to zero in on the cache hide itself.

Beautiful place. We are very glad we visited the Falls but the wife and I couldn't find the cache. It may be in there but after searching overgrown and prickly undergrowth for some time we gave up.
A second multi in a row TaurusSix and I went for but no success. TaurusSix and I had this waterfall on a list to do. Great waterfall, relaxed for a while listening to the water splash at the bottom. Then spend a good while looking for the cache.
Found with Team Rubik. Apologies for the late log. Not time at the moment for caching or for descriptive logs. TFTC.
Having completed the 'Spirit of Salts' series we thought we would have another crack at this one after 2DNF's previously. We love this area so it is no hardship to visit again & again. 3rd time lucky & found at 3.25pm SL. TN Left: 4 leaf clover (maybe our good luck charm today!) Luckily we met the only muggles coming up as we were going down to the falls - so no stealth was required today. TFTC and the chance to visit this pretty area again.
We felt a bit silly when, after spending some time looking for the cache, we realized that it was a multi!
Collected the required information, an walked off to the real GZ.
Great falls and well worth the walk. Took lots of photos.
Thanks, Robmc.

Have been here quite a few times over the years but I realized as we were heading up here today that it would be at least twenty years since the last visit. Too long really! Anyway we searched for quite a while at the start co-ords not realizing that it was a multi but once that mistake was taken care of the cache was soon in hand. Soaked up the scenery and a little of the cascading water then headed back home.
Thanks indeed Sons of Callum

This was one of a series of caches we attempted as part of a 4wd'ing/caching weekend with a few other members of AWGC (Albury Wodonga Geocaching), including DJ Geodog & Rascal and Haveanaz. A great little walk down to the GZ, and nice to get a chance to see the waterfalls with water cascading over! Thanks for the cache
Out & about on a 4WD day trip with DJ Rascal & TheChops and glad we stopped by this top spot! A great drive to GZ through some beaut bush! Heaps of wildflowers & animals about!
With 1 GeoKid asleep it was left to Big Ez & GeoKid Adam to go for the walk with the others for this one - a beautiful spot we didn't know was here, but will definately be back to visit again. Many thanks for placing a cache here.
A long walk for the GeoKid - but he was happy to get a Pathtag off TheChops when he got back to the car - Thanks guys!

Been a looong time since I have been to these falls, and it is even better than I had remembered them.
Numbers were gathered at the top by TheChops as I and Haveanez watched and confirmed the numbers (I always have this uncanny ability to bugger up even the most easiest of multis) . Ignoring the pointing arrow we set off on our walk on the most obvious route we could see.
Some rain had increased the amount coming over the falls even if it was not by much. Still, the sound of the water coming over added to the serenity of the area, very peaceful. Would have been great to see the water coming over a few weeks ago when we had the big rain.
Beautiful area well deserving of a cache. Cheers.

What a stunning place especially after so much rain. Found with Daunts & bunch of other friends & family. Took nothing, left red racer geocoin to start his journey off road. GOYA
We have been aiming to get back here one day when there was water running over the falls. It has been a long wait, but this is a great season to come back, along with Melbermans and others.

Found with i, dax after a short search and a long walk where we contemplated taking a shortcut to GZ but thought better of it!! (For future searchers there's no need to search more than 3m from the path.)
After the rain last night there was a small flow of water over the falls, not as much as I would have expected though. Thanks for bringing us here.

[Some difficulty with GPS accuracy ]close to cliff [but eventually found. ]Not much water over falls. Just on dark. [Andrew, Aaron and Jon.]
we'd had much rain for a couple of days so were excited at the prospect of water cascading over this cliff/cave face that i hadn;t visited for many years. alas , still only a trickle coming over. must have to wait 2 days after rain , not one. even more dissapointing was not finding the cache. gps had it pegged on the way in but we thought we'd grab it on the way back after a bit of an explore. on the way back gps pointed 180 dgs opposite to the first reading so that opened up possibilities considerably. despite a reasonably extensive search we lucked out.
We had a wonderful morning making our way to the first GZ of this multicache. We enjoyed many wonderful vistas of bushfire-ravaged regenerated bushland. We had a friendly encounter with an echidna and bought 5 beautiful waratah blooms from a wayside stall. We took heaps of great photographs of this wonderful area. We were transporting a geo green duck that was seeking water, but alas no sign of the cache was found. So, despite extensive searching, we and the dejected duck trudged up the hundreds of steps back to our car. Please check if the cache is still there???? We did note that the last log for this cache was in January this year. There has been much regrowth and rain since then.
Found at 12.25pm
It would be paradise with a little more water,
Lovely area though - must come back in winter when it has rained heavily to walk behind the waterfall
Co-ords spot on, made for an easy find, took 2 geocoins
Thanks

Found: 1/01/2009 15:05 . I was able to play a small role in remote Beta-testing this cache shortly after it was listed so it was good to accompany the Sons of Callum on a maintenance visit. The coodinates were spot on for an easy find ... the only thing that would have made it better would have been more water falling from the falls

Found at 5.20pm GAFF5 in the company of The Grovers. This cache was a sad story for p-pprass. First of all when travelling from Cattleman's Clearing, we thought we had avoided the log across the road as it had been cut, leaving just enough room for one vehicle at a time to pass. However a little further on we found the real log across the road - it's huge. So nothing else to do but to make a track around it. With axe in hand we cleared some light scrub, moved some of the smaller logs and made a reasonable track. Off went p-pprass, but the gap between a couple of the trees was just too narrow and a small dint has now been added to the the other small dints on the LHS of the Patrol .
We got to Paradise Falls and our son Alex kept telling p-pprass that this is the spot that we stopped at on a "Fathers and Sons" 4wding weekend 15 years ago. p-pprass would have nothing of it until he actually saw the falls and then it was - oh yeah! Alex was just 10 then!
Then to cap everything off we spent about 40 minutes searching in the wrong spot because p-pprass didn't read the bit about adding the "Little Falls" [|)]. Luckily c-pprass remembered the no. after the instructions were read out and the cache was found straight away. So all in all a very eventful cache - at least the kids had a ball running behind the falls and getting wet. Thanks Sons of Callum - great memories have flooded back.

If not paradise then pretty close! I last visited here when I was about 8 I reckon, which makes it 20 years ago! I was able to remember the curved shape of the rocks behind the falls but that's about all. I got all the way down and realised I'd left the camera behind so no mementos I'm afraid. The place was quite popular today too with about 8 other cars on the road.
Well done on the choice of location - beautiful!
Thanks,
