Logs
My first solo caching trip. A long one down the entire length of the Sturt Highway. TFTC
Found while heading out to Renmark and surrounds to do some caching along the Wandering Hero's Series and to see what other interesting sights we can find. TFTC
Spending a few days in Renmark and spending some time caching as well. Quick find. Found before the sunset. TFTC.
Heading from Hay to Port Augusta today. Stopped here to eat our last mango.Psalm 118:24, I found My 1st Victorian Sunset today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Today saw us firstly finding a few caches around Renmark before we headed east to Mildura - our next port of call as we make our way from Adelaide to Canberra. Also collected most of the caches along the Sturt Highway. Thanks to the COs for the placement of the caches - it is much appreciated.
Travelling from Renmark to Mildura today and caching along the highway and roads. Found the cache and signed the log. TFTC
Sitting around discussing puzzles and D/T and LGA and I realised that there was a D/T nearby we needed to help us along to our 9th loop. I discussed with M the possibility of a late afternoon excursion since it was less than 1/2 an hour away but then Wollaston realised he needed it too. HansandLinda are always keen to find just a few more so I left M behind and we headed out in Wollastons' vehicle to grab just a few more finds for the day. Thanks for find #5769TNLN
After a week of caching around Adelaide incorporating The Great Leap Forward event, HansandLinda, MeandDe and I are working our way towards Canberra for the Easter Capital GeoBash Mega. At Paringa for a couple of days of rest and maintenance although we did have a couple of targeted caches at MacCabes Corner today. After a great day, we settled in for sundown drinks and nibbles which is always enjoyable at the end of a good day, only it turns out it wasnt the end a caching for the day. Diligent Deana discovered a sought after D/T rating along the SA/Vic border trail. Luckily, I was enjoying another AFD, so a tad before 1900hrs, 3 of us made the dash. It was never going to be a quick trip as there were about a dozen other caches on route. We grabbed this one along the way. Another great day for caching. TFTC Psalm 118:24
TFTC Psalm 118:24 your cache My 1st Victorian Sunset that we found today. We had had a big day with a long kayaking adventure and other caches on the way back to Paringa. Sitting around talking about the day with Wollaston and MeandDewe decided to head out to the border to find some more caches. It turned out to be a longer trip than originally planned. Just one more turned into several more. A nice haul of 10 for the evening.. Find Count: 19080 .
GC1E2PG My 1st Victorian SunsetA group of us are down from Darwin and Brisbane in preparation of the leap year event.Today was day 2 of hitting the bikes and heading east. To save space in the logs signed as the BOLD7. Was meant to be BDLD7 but something got lost in translation.I have had a great time caching down here and will need to return with the family to explore the area (& caches) some more.TFTC Psalm 118:24
The BOLD07 took a quick jaunt to Victoria following a few solid days caching in South Aust. Great to see real life mexicans in their natural habitat and not clogging Queensland roads in their vans or our beaches in winter with their vivid white legs showing. As described, the cache was quickly spotted and signed. There's an oldie just south of here I'll try and talk the other group members in grabbing before the Victorian authorities throw us aliens back into South Aust. Thanks Psalm 118:24 & Ginger Ninja for keeping this cache active.
Out and about collecting more smilies. Signed with Leap mega team nickname BOLD7. Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache.
With our group BOLD7 entertaining ourselves as we head north to explore the country. Fab day collecting bikes and other menagerie! . Thanks to the SA cachers for awesome variety of caches. Second day of frolics! A tad cooler!
How very exciting the big trip has finally arrived! Down from Brisbane with a host of other geo friends with plans aplenty, enough to almost see us needing to extend or make a return visit. Our geonick for the trip is BOLD7 which is guaranteed to save the log paper for the 7 individual members of the team. As we make our way around sadly there wont be time for the usual individual logs and therefore just the old generic log will have to do. With little extra notes here and there if needed. Thank you for your cache which has added to my wonderful caching holiday.
Parked the car at the rest stop and walked to the cache. I love that it is 17 degrees and the sun feels warm. I havent felt cold in over 18 months and it is glorious. Added a new logbook to the collection of many full ones. Loved standing in no-mans land between the states
On our way from Werrimull VIC to Sedan SA we pick up a couple of caches on the way and this was one of them. TFTC Psalm 118:24
Back in Victoria after an epic adventure with the Puzzld crew and making my way to Mildura, stopping at various caches on the way. Thanks for your cache
Headed towards the Victorian border first. At GZ was able to drive to within a couple of metres. Spent a minute or two delving through the myriad of logbooks to find the most recent. Signed and replaced Day 15: We are enjoying relaxing in Renmark but today we are out for a bit of a drive. Trying to grab caches in 3 states in the one day. Have a plan that looks easily achievable so we are off. Well its holiday time again and this year we have planned a road trip East across the Nullarbor to South Australia. We will be staying in Streaky Bay, Whyalla, Hahndorf, Renmark and Clare before heading for home and making the trip west. We are looking forward to eating and drinking, exploring and visiting a swag of wonderful places. Of course it wouldnt be a holiday at all for a Geocacher without plans including a plethora of stops, deviations and distractions for all types of Geocaches. Our thanks go to all the hiders who make this game what it is. Hi Psalm 118:24, SmplyR3dd has found your cache My 1st Victorian Sunset on 19 Sep 2023 at 11:04.Logs on micro caches may be signed as SR.SmplyR3dd thanks you for placing this cache for me to find. This find brings my find count to 6340.
A geocaching holiday taking in SA and Vic. back in Vic now so might as well grab the first cache we see. We do like a sunrise and sunset in the mallee.
Nice to see the old log books here. Instantly saw a friend who found it 7 years earlier.
Thanks Psalm 118:24 & Ginger Ninja for placing for all to enjoy. Cache in good condition.

GPS was obviously very unhappy that I had snuck across the border into Victoria, because it led me round and round in circles but fortunately, I found it in the end. TFTC.
Quick find here today with Deefa71 on a long drive from Broken Hill to Renmark

If was morning so no sunset here for us. A quick find as the area was deserted.
Thanks Psalm 118:24 & Ginger Ninja
We separated from Tassie Trekkers today with Budgie, SSR and I heading along the Murray toward Mildura and surrounds today. The high river levels prevented us from getting many of our chosen caches but we still found some good ones and enjoyed the day.
It’s become a tradition to fly to a Mega via somewhere else so Stainless steel rat, budgietas and I flew from Hobart to Adelaide a week before the big event and, after a few days around the city, worked our way up along the Murray (where we could due to flooding) via Waikerie, Mildura, Swan Reach and Echuca before heading down through Shepparton to Whittlesea where we caught up, and cached with, a few other teams including Whitewebbs, 1toolman and icybeetas.

Found this cache while out caching with Goosenegg and stainless steel rat.
We drove from South Australia, to Victoria and down the Murray river, swapping between NSW and Victoria, collecting LGA's as we drove down to Mildura
Thank you for the cache.
All caches stamped with "Team Tassie"
November 2022 was planned as a trip to the Mega in Melbourne, so we flew from Hobart to Adelaide to find quite a few caches that we had missed last time. Some great caches were found, but the planned boat trip was canceled due to the weather. No matter the showers we found quite a few caches on the trip (Around 600) including a number with high Terrian values.
The drive-through down the Murray river on the NSW / Victoria border showed the impacts of the current floods. A number of caches planned were canceled due to the flooding. Unfortunately, many of these caches will have been lost to the flood. The Mega, as per the whole week, was on and off a wet time, even so a number of caches were still found with Goosenegg, Stainless Steel Rat, Whitewebbs and Tassie Trekkers

On our way to the mega and went via SA just so we could finish off the OYB series, We did these with TT and marked our territory with a stamp that said Team Tassie, most of the caches we found in good order and those couple that weren't we fixed up as best we could with what we had to hand.
All found now well till some more come out anyway!
Another year, another Victorian Mega, so where do we fly into, Adelaide like you do, after a few days in the city we ventured out into the wilds of SA before heading Northeast towards the border (You remember the name of the town, don't you?) before crossing over we teamed up with Tassie Trekkers and we all finished off the OYB series.
Our attempts at a few caches as we moved South that were near rivers were as half expected we were thwarted by floods so we didn't get to those but added the odd on in here and there.
At long last we arrived in Whittlesea for the Mega late in the evening of Friday 11th and after a quick event headed to our accommodation for the next few days. While in the area we explored the area finding caches all over the place and we even got to meet up with our Victorian ex Tassie cacher 1Toolman who traveled up from down South to join us for the day
Thanks for the cache.

Day 1 of trip to Melbourne for my niece wedding on Saturday. Return home next week via Great Ocean Road. Tftc
Found while waiting for goecaching friends to arrive. Signed the log in an empty space and replaced aĺl as found. TFTC.
This long weekend, I and J plus the little one visited riverland. We spent two and a half days, visited Nuriootpa, Barmera, Berri, Loxton, Renmark, SA/VIC border, Waikerie, Morgan, and nearby towns. On the trip, we found 54 caches on the way, including Traditional Cache, Puzzle Cache, Multi Cache, Wherigo Cache, Letterbox Hybrid Cache, and Lab Adventure caches.
This was the 34th find for the trip. Also the only Victorian Cache we found of the trip.
Just drove there for the border caches.
Cache has been found easily. Signed the log, and placed it back.
Thanks for the Cache, Psalm 118:24 & Ginger Ninja.

3 events across 3 states in 1 day for International Geocaching Day.
After a friendly welcome at the first event we buzzed off with a couple of bees and went on the prowl with some cool cats ro find a few more caches on the way to the next event.
Not sure if the mattress was part of the camouflage, but it didn't keep us from finding the cache. TFTC Psalm 118:24 & Ginger Ninja

Border hopping weekend day #2:
Collecting some caches across South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria inbetween the 20 years of Geocaching celebration events in Berri, Wentworth and Irymple consecutively.
I started caching in 2020... so if these events had been then I wouldn't have gone. So I'm glad to be here for the journey.
I can only stay the weekend due to work, one night in Berri and one in Mildura. So I'm doing as many caches as I can inbetween events... so many caches and so little time.
A familiar CO... a long distance away.
A quick find here today. All is well with the container and contents.
Cache retrieved and signed with stamp.
Thanks Psalm 118:24 for this cache.
This cache brings Goldy's total find count to 1494.

Staying in Renmark for a short holiday, using caching as a guide as to where we travel. 41 caches were found along and around the state border. This cache is one that was found today.
Unfortunately weren’t here at sunset but enjoyed the visit nonetheless. Cache is in good condition for its age. Cheers.
Find #4266 on 18 Jul 2022.

I’m too early for a sunset and too late for sunrise, but I believe this will be my first interstate cache
SA - 1614 finds.
Vic - 1 find
After a most relaxing couple of days on the Proud Mary cruising on the river, it was time to track down some caches. But first an overnight stay in Karoonda to recharge for an early start and then head off on another adventure.
The plan is to grab caches in the last few LGA for me to complete that challenge.

We are finally able to travel interstate without heaps of loops to jump through. We thought we would take it easy and have a look around South Australia and grab a few more LGA's while we were here.
We are staying in Renmark for a couple of day and decided to pop over the border and grab a Vicorian cache. After taking the must do photo we headed over to this one. It was a quick find
This was find number 2 for the day.

Time warp!!!! Which state am I in??? Confusion I would say!!! Nice to be able to jump a few meters to be in a different state…. It’s cool tftc
We came through here last night but can’t hung was the last thing on our minds. We wanted to get to the Flea Pit and sleep!! We hit the road this morning and ended up in Mildura at an awesome bakery. On the way back to Paringa we swung in her to find a few caches in the vicinity and take photos of Border crossings. Happy to say the photos today were better than last nights. Tftc
Headed North to camp with friends along the Murray, we stopped in here for the "we crossed the border" photo! Found a couple of caches and a South Australian rock! Woohoo... Now.. Off. We. Go....

Day 6: SA/Vic Christmas holiday trip
Last Christmas holidays, fitzy_1965 and I (along with two geo-kids, Death Killer & my_name_jeff_1) headed to SA to visit family whilst we could, and to collect as many counties and caches as possible along the way. We decided even before getting home that we needed to go back. The added incentive of more On You Bike series sealed the deal. Fast forward through 2021 (because who wants to remember that), and here we are again. This time with extra company in the form of Sol de lune, Smittengranny and albida33.
After an exhausting 5 days in the SA heat, we made the decision to pack up a day early and head back across the border to do the Paddle Steamer series…..and to air conditioned accommodation instead of continuing to camp in tents! We said goodbye to Albida33 who was staying a few more days in SA. Caching along the way, we headed for the series straight up before continuing to our hotel…. Ah luxury!
All caches were signed as FMSS and were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

26,227. Found with minniek, Sol de Lune and Smittengranny during our post Christmas / New Year trip over to South Australia and Victoria to tackle the On Your Bike and Paddle Steamer series among many other caches.
Today we started by heading to the Mildura region to start the Paddle Steamer, and grabbed several others along the way. Signed as FMSS. This was another long hot day.
When minniek and I were in South Australia in January this year (2021) doing the On Your Bike series of (then) 100 Wherigo caches, we were talking to the CO who mentioned that a whole lot more were soon to be published, and they were - 512 more ! So once back home we set about solving all those new ones which was at least something to do during 'stay at home' orders effecting us. Then once they were all solved we planned a trip over to grab them. Then just to add to the fun the latest 152 were published just in time for us to spend time solving them all so we could get the whole set. With our caching friends Sol de Lune, Smittengranny and albida33 this series was our main aim, but with the 'Around the World in 81 caches' series, various solved puzzles and the Paddle Steamer as standby if we got the time.
We managed some BIG days caching and finished off the On Your Bike series in three days, then attempted the mammoth 'Around the World in 81 caches' series and some lovely high/rare D/T caches - all in searing summer heat peaking at over 40 degrees ! Once they were finally completed we headed over to the Mildura region for another two blistering hot days doing the Paddle Steamer series. After camping for five nights we finally relented and got hotel rooms for the last two nights and worked the air conditioning to the bone.
All in all an amazingly fun time was had, and we have all made room in our calendars for when the next part of the On Your Bike series is published - no pressure ! Highlights included many of the fun tree climbs, the pole caches which increased our skills at the recovery and replacements of those styled caches, and the relaxed times and banter around the camp site at the end of each tiring day - including New Years Eve !
Thanks to all the COs for contributing their caches to our fun times, and I must apologise for the generic logs as we did find well over one thousand caches which now require logging !

Finally made it back to my home state after being away in the SA outback for nearly 2 weeks , really not liking dealing with ppl and traffic after coming out of the bush I was confronted with a Police road block where I was asked where did I come from and even after explaining it he still had no idea, luckily I was tracking my entire trip so he could see where I’d been for the past 2 weeks , after 20 minutes or so he let me go confirming when I arrived and my previous locations , this cache was my decider to head back along the border track rather than stay on the Black stuff

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA.
With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
The group grew from two to six quickly after having a chat to GoodLook about our plans.
Our team “The Mob” now consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers and ourselves and FeatherTop joined us on day 4. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book.
All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
Day 4 it was time to head to Loxton to start on the On Your Bike trail. All puzzles in this series were solved prior to the trip.
This cache was found on our journey from Red Cliffs to Loxton.
It seems the rest of the team had already found this one. So quick stop and find before moving on here.
Thanks for the hide Psalm 118:24 & Ginger Ninja and for the fun "The Mob"
With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
The group grew from two to six quickly after having a chat to GoodLook about our plans.
Our team “The Mob” now consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers and ourselves and FeatherTop joined us on day 4. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book.

A plan was made for a group of us, (mogni, sir_spectre, allister w, BratKat and myself) to head over to Mildura for the long weekend as the borders are now open and we wouldn't have to quarantine on the way back. [^]
Two of us spent a long time solving all the puzzles in the Turtle and Paddle Steamer series along with the other puzzles around Mildura, but they were put away waiting for the time when we could get over to find the caches.
We had a very busy weekend and managed to find all of the Turtle and Paddle Steamer caches along with some of the high favourited caches, an Adventure Lab, one night cache, quite a few gadget caches and a couple of water caches...and then we ran out of time.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a great time finding lots of different caches and we will have to make a return trip to find those that we didn't get around to.
All caches stamped "Mystery Randoms" [^]
A quick find here on our way past.

After an 18 month geocaching hiatus, this March long weekend I tagged along with Mogni, Sir Specture, JJ52 and Allister (caching as the Mystery Randoms) to conquer the Mildura Paddle Steamer and Turtle. We were lucky to encounter good weather, fine caches and a lot of red dust! Many thanks to 4Moule and the Mildura caching community for creating an entertaining geo-destination. TFTC! See you again soon.

A long weekend with a big plan. A group attack on the powertrails near Mildura. Two of us solved all the puzzles and then covid hit so they got put into the get around to it one day basket... Covid back under control so a plan was hatched to go interstate for the first time in over a year and be allowed to return without having to isolate for 2 weeks. Joined up with sir_spectre, JJ52, Allister W and Bratkat. We cached as the mystery randoms which suited us while well. Both powertrails were found and we managed to grab a few others while travelling around. I am usually a regular visitor Mildura but it had been a couple of years between trips. I am sure we will all be back to complete the many great caches we researched but din't have time to find. Thanks for a great weekend.

Returning to Vic after car repairs when car hit a kangaroo in SA. I'm calling it a draw. I've had my eye on this cache for some time but haven't been able to stop at the border to look for it. The cache is in good condition all things considered. A new log would be nice. SL TN L 2 cent coin.
Over from SA for 4 days of caching with Egregory1, Featherwaite and Brisal5.
We came primarily to do the Paddlesteamer series but picked up orthers as we drove around.
Apologies for the generis logs.
All caches we found were in good order.
Thanks to all cache owners whose caches we found.

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Brisal5, e.gregory1 and Team Waldron with the main aim to complete the Paddle Steamer and Turtle GeoArt series but also to find other caches along the way. We camped out on the banks of the Murray River near Mildura on the first night, at Rocket Lake campground in the Murray-Sunset National Park on the second night, then back to the banks of the Murray River near Merbein on the last night. We signed the logs as B.E.F.W. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the cache!
Love old caches so this was a must. Thanks for placing it and maintaining it for so long.

On a camping road trip to the Mildura region with Papi4506, Geoturtle37 & RoamingHowie, the main target - the new Paddle Steamer series.
We certainly took the long way around to get to this one!

Continuing my first caching adventure with OzHockeyChick, Papi4506 & GeoTurtle37 and a mega adventure it is! Today we are off hopefully on a milestone run to reach my 2000. Being very careful here to remain on the right side of the border!
Thanks Psalm 118:24 for placing the hide!

After an event at Rocket Lake yesterday we camped there overnight and then cached our way through Murray Sunset. With some of the vehicles low on fuel we aired up our tyres and headed down the blacktop to Yamba.
Stopping here on our way back to head south down the Border Track.
Thanks Psalm 118:24 & Ginger Ninja

Well it is not even sunrise I don't think. On my way home from Adelaide (technically). Stopped overnight near here to be able to log one in South Australia, Victoria, NSW and Queensland hopefully by the end of the day.
Time was of the essence and I spent longer than I would have liked hunting. I blame the dark.
