On a caching expedition to the top with BaldEd and my two youngest boys. (They played up something awful as we prepared to head off not wanting to go for the walk, but improved once we got going). A quick find. TFTC.

Found while the husband took pictures of the water. Lovely walk. TFTC
Found with Old Boots help during an Avon Tramping club tramp to the summit. One of 3 finds on the track. Cloudy weather on the way up, clear views of surrounding mountains at the top. Enjoyed the novelty of this cache. Thanks Team chelmo
That was a clever container. I thought I had found more contraband when I first picked it up. (I found a stolen camera near a cache site a couple of years ago.) The GPS took me about 8m away at first, but then I noticed somthing obvoius down the track and there it was.
Cheers and thanks,
S.t.

Easy find on my way down the mountain - after claiming FTF on the summit cache. Logbook a wee bit damp despite multiple bags.

A lovely walk on a sunny morning up through the forest, although the first part was very muddy. The cache itself was a quick find in the obvious place.
amazing the $millions spent by DOC around S.I. places like this on land tenure and access. I guess not having to ask permission from the cocky (usually given) will hopefully get more people out walking these places. Even with a 4 layer "container", log has hint of damp ! (fine though)
Third find on geocaching day with friend, she was like "grr why have I not noticed this!?! I live here!" and says first 100m no longer boggy as cows have been moved.
Lambing closes the entrace between 18 September and 22 October so we couldnt access this one
Number 8 for the day, A great day for geocaching. It was a little further than I thought, me in my frogs, quite unprepared, but we made it wet feet and all, the 100m were dry. we'll be back. The first bag was wet, second was damp, the book could do with some time in the sun, dried it best I could. TFTC TNLN
Nice walk through to the Alford Reserve. No need for any gummies for the first 100m today - the small high-fenced access paddock was very dry. Caused me to wonder whether the access has changed since the cache was placed? Unusual container was dry, though the outer bags were pretty wet and muddy. TNLN T4TC.
We easily found our way to the parking lot, but due to lambing in the area (mid September to 19 October) the access trail was closed.
The hardest part of this cache for us was finding our way to the parking area! After that it was straightforward. TFTC
Found this cache with my personal travel bug Ice Age Scrat along our 3 moths trip around the whole New Zealand,15:30
Today's 9. cache, TFTC - great cache, clever hidden, it tooks me 20 minutes searching at least !

What a lovely walkway. I totally agree about the lack of signage I drove right past to Single tree then had to retrace a bit. Well worth it though - thanks so much for bringing me here. (530)
Last one on the way home from the great southern sleepover. Nice spot that I never knew existed.
Stopped by on our way home from The southern sleep over. Number 2 in the series for us.
A clever cache after a really good walk through the trees. What a magic place to spend time having a walk with the family and caches like these are a real bonus. Really good to see younger ones being encouraged to take up an interest in caching so they will end up in areas like this.

Took the long way from Ashburton to home this afternoon for a lovely walk. Scared some escaped cattle in the reserve.
We did this one in the early morning after a snowfall and got bombarded by snow dumps thawing off the tree branches above.. Wonder why they didnt put any shingle on the first few hundred metres?
Liked the cache container.

Nice reserve and some lovely bush to walk through. Now I pay more attention to the cache name - all the more amusing! Cheers Gav [2591]
Well, what can one say. A lightly damp and dirty whooppee. FTF. You definitely need the gummies i didnt have - or go in the frost. Say no more. Urk. But after that the walkway is quite a development. A lot of work in here, and enjoyed the quiet jog through the bush at night. Nice cache - Alfie is very careless. Worth the visit - will come back in the daylight and maybe tackle the longer walk. TFTC, took TB, left nothing.
