Another awesome view, I’ll never tire of these.
The boys had found this one already so let me scramble up whilst they rested in the track

Boom! Lovely spot for lunch. TFTC!
A pleasant walk to GZ and rewarded with a great view. Made the find a had a bite to eat while admiring the view. TFTC johnny ulus and paegle boy.
Found with sesblocker and Aries44duo.
Great coordinates made for an easy find. Thank God we didn't need to go down very far. Gets a favourite point from us for the view!

The gate to the access road was locked so biked it down (albeit carrying the bike at least 1/4 way to this cache - some steep, rugged bits).

Lovely walk, nice quick stroll in and some lovely views!
Thanks for taking the time to look after your caches,
See you around
I had 2 hours of daylight left and no torch, so my goal was to find this cache and as many of the others above the escarpment AND get back to the car.
At gz: the name speaks for itself! What a view indeed.
Signed log and left a pathtag.
Thanks for the cache.
Not a breath of wind today and the bush was very dry due to no rain for weeks.
Took a new container and put the old and new log plus some of the swaps in the new container. Left the old one upside down with the other swaps still in tact.

Ironbark.
A bit of a scramble up to GZ but once there the cache was soon in hand, the cache was a bit damp like the last finder I left it turned upside down in its dry hidey hole because of the cracked lid that will let in moisture, as a matter of fact the contents of the cache were a bit damp & tired, not having a spare container with us the best we could do was to replace the damp log book with a new one & place it into a nice new snap lock bag to help protect it from the elements.
Most of the walk to this cache is fairly easy but, like the nearby "Wodi Wodi" cache the last bit of terrain really means that it should be rated atleast a 2.5 or 3.
TN,SL Left a new logbook & bag. TFTC.
K via the escarpment net bike tracks. Needed to have a break and this cache was nearby. Spectacular view and a good spot to have a banana and a short rest. Ace7 and I found the cache in the elevated spot with the log book out and drying. The cache container will need replacing as it is broken. We signed the log and returned everything undercover. Great spot and thanks Johny ulus for your cache.
Happy 50th birthday to the Arkaroo
we came here for my dad's 50th and then went back rather than go all the way to stanny.
its such a nice little spot on those rocks surrounded by bush and a gap to see the view, love it!
but there was a leech and it was gross and scary bleehh and then it wouldn't stop bleeding for ages, i deffs like the dry season better!

[purple]50th Birthday Cache![/purple] The Arkaroo celebrates half a century, or 41,67% of his life expectations! Thought it would be a good idea to seek for a cache, and have the kids as well, not just present but also logging! After attempt of The Rat's Adrenalin Addiction, we needed a find in the vicinity, and why not having a walk out here to a spot I've never been yet, but long on my to-do list. Of course, we know the escarpment a bit further north or south, but this position somehow in the middle between two access points is relatively remote. What else I have never done is to access the cliffs just above the Sea Cliff Bridge; maybe another good spot for a cache. Many years ago, there was good 4wd access in the terrain behind, above Coal Cliff. If you drive on the established roads and do it environmentally sensitive, then there is nothing against this, however, when idiots come to make a mess and burn or drop stolen cars, it ends up with what it is: locked up! The escarpment is definitely an area which needs to be protected and conserved for future generations.
Sitting here on the cliffs, enjoying the views to Clifton, and over the ocean, we saw the rain showers scattered over the sea. Better sign the still humid log book and make our way back.
The cache container is cracked in its lid and definitely needs replacement. As long it is in this condition, [red] just think, and place the box upside down, with the crack at the lowest part. [/red] Then water drains out of the container instead of filling it up. Got it?
I see, johnny ulus is not active any more, but maybe paegle boy? Or anyone else coming up, if you could bring a trash bin for some of the roded contents, a new 1.5l container and a log pad. I will keep it in mind, next time, however... earlier is better!
Thanks to johny ulus and paegle boy for this tremendeaous good view and for finally dragging us out here! TFTCM!

Rode the geoMTB from the Old Princes Highway, along the track, picked up "Wodi Wodi" on the way through. No need to bush bash. What a spectacular view from here. Took the TB, why put a TB here when the cache doesn't get located for months. SLLN. Thanks for trip.
Left: Unactivated geocoin

There is decidedly no advantage in trying to drive close to this cache by 4wd... in fact its a distinct disadvantage.
We cut through the pristine valley west of the cache by foot when the road ran out on the nearby western ridge, only to find the N/S coastal track and exclaim "of course". ... or "D'oh" .. or something else!!!
Great hike
TFTH and the exercise!
"Oh, a track, you mean we could have......."
Typical cache, hard way in, easy way out!
Thanks for the bush bash, I think! TNLN SL, and a truely GOOD view...

Cheers!
The geo-dog eyed off the contence of the cache.
Cheers.
The leeches were all over us. The rain we have had over the last weeks may have helped create the issue.
Still a great walk in the bush with fantastic views.
Thanks johny ulus and paegle boy.
Took : LIGO geocoin

I think it might have resulted from the office meeting yesterday when I was visiting planet Nod and was rudely interrupted. The following is a highly censored version of what I said when asked about a certain religious figure visiting Sydney. I just said something about that bloke who is hiding out in the bush stroking someone elses cat. Even the boss smiled but one person and there is always one, went running from the room so I know whose locker to weld shut tomorrow.
Hence stuck at home on a beautiful day so why not go for a short ride, it’s only 80 kilometres round trip which traverses some of the highest and steepest hills in the area. The first bit of fun was crossing O’Hares Creek down the bottom of 10C and if you have ridden or walked you know how steep it is and you tend to get a bit of speed up. Approaching the crossing I noticed the water and just assumed it was the normal amount but it wasn’t and the water was up to my knees and was cold. Luckily the hill straight after the crossing soon warmed me up again. As I was going up the hill I heard some voices yelling yippee and the like and soon was passed by some guy yelling this is fun and I never ridden here before. I did not even get a chance to warn him about the hairpin bend he was approaching.
The black stuff was soon reached and after dodging the horses, then the golf balls it was time for some proper single track. Have no idea why there is a no bike icon on the cache page as mountain bikers have been riding this track for years and who do you think built the ramps over the fallen trees, Martians? Soon reached the cache location grabbed the cache sat back and admired the views enjoying some rather squashed cheesecake that I made this morning. So after some pics it was time for the long ride home.
Note: the track to the cache is not suited for inexperienced riders.
As we arrived at GZ the sun was just coming up so I grabbed the camera to try for some shots, while Bushy searched.
Not to long and the goods were found. A quick sign of the log, then we sat to enjoy the early morning view.
Thanks for another awesome location! With a FTF aswell.
