Staying in the Bushman's Rest caravan park, and today, we decided to do the circuit of the lake. Headed out on the e-bikes and this was the third stop. Parked the bikes and wandered across the bridge to nowhere. Had a close look to make sure it was safe. Had to avoid a large hole on the other side and noted it for when we continued with thr bikes. Wandered in and made a quick find of the cache in the only place the cache could be. Signed the log and then replaced all as found. Back to the bikes to continue the circumnavigation.

Found with the JAMS crew on our way to Mildura to do some caching on this long weekend. Great area. We walked the final 100 metres to this cache because the road had a couple deep ruts and we didn't want to risk it this early in the weekend. TFTC The Wackys

A plan was made for a group of us, (mogni, sir_spectre, allister w, BratKat and myself) to head over to Mildura for the long weekend as the borders are now open and we wouldn't have to quarantine on the way back. [^]
Two of us spent a long time solving all the puzzles in the Turtle and Paddle Steamer series along with the other puzzles around Mildura, but they were put away waiting for the time when we could get over to find the caches. Big Grin
We had a very busy weekend and managed to find all of the Turtle and Paddle Steamer caches along with some of the high favourited caches, an Adventure Lab, one night cache, quite a few gadget caches and a couple of water caches...and then we ran out of time. Surprised
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a great time finding lots of different caches and we will have to make a return trip to find those that we didn't get around to. Cool
All caches stamped "Mystery Randoms" [^]

We broke our trip up and detoured to the caches around Lake Cullulleraine. What a great area, I really liked the camp ground and would love to stay here sometime. Cool

Had a nice walk to find this one and crossed the bridge to nowhere both ways. Cache easily found. Big Grin

Thanks for the cache The Wackys. Smile

Another great spot; there are so many beautiful spots around this region; the Victorians are spoiled for holiday choices.
***
After an 18 month geocaching hiatus, this March long weekend I tagged along with Mogni, Sir Specture, JJ52 and Allister (caching as the Mystery Randoms) to conquer the Mildura Paddle Steamer and Turtle. We were lucky to encounter good weather, fine caches and a lot of red dust! Many thanks to 4Moule and the Mildura caching community for creating an entertaining geo-destination. TFTC! See you again soon.

A long weekend with a big plan. A group attack on the powertrails near Mildura. Two of us solved all the puzzles and then covid hit so they got put into the get around to it one day basket... Covid back under control so a plan was hatched to go interstate for the first time in over a year and be allowed to return without having to isolate for 2 weeks. Joined up with sir_spectre, JJ52, Allister W and Bratkat. We cached as the mystery randoms which suited us while well. Both powertrails were found and we managed to grab a few others while travelling around. I am usually a regular visitor Mildura but it had been a couple of years between trips. I am sure we will all be back to complete the many great caches we researched but din't have time to find. Thanks for a great weekend.
Thanks to The Wackys from mogni Smile

After such a non event which was last year I was finally able to escape Melbourne for a well earned break as I have not had a reasonable holiday for over 18 months.
Heading north then west I decided to spend the first night at Lake Cullulleraine after spending 7 hours driving up here on the Calder in torrential rain in some parts and down to 70km/h and that is the worst driving conditions I have ever towed a caravan in.
I have found 3 of the others caches around lake and back then did not have time for this one.
So after a yummy tea at the cafe it was time for a walk to find a bridge to nowhere.
An enjoyable after tea walk and I soon came across the cache and added my name to the log.
Thanks The Wackys TFTC.

Found on a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Team Waldron, Brisal5 and FeatherWaite. Our main targets were the Paddle Steamer and Turtle geoart series' but we also took the opportunity to seek out a few other caches along the way.

We were fortunate with the weather. After a burst of very hot days, we timed our trip nicely to coincide with the milder conditions before the next hot spell. That helped to make both the caching and the camping along the Murray River and in the Murray-Sunset National Park very pleasant.

We ended up finding all the caches that we had targeted. Most were in good order. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging and there were some very novel and entertaining multi's. Some certainly took a bit of finding and there were many very clever and/or tricky caches and containers that were a credit to the cache owners’ ingenuity. We signed most logbooks 'B.E.F.W.'

It would have been good to have had another day or two to complete the remaining caches in the area, but I’m sure we’ll be back.

Thanks to all the cache owners for the hides.

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Brisal5, e.gregory1 and Team Waldron with the main aim to complete the Paddle Steamer and Turtle GeoArt series but also to find other caches along the way. We camped out on the banks of the Murray River near Mildura on the first night, at Rocket Lake campground in the Murray-Sunset National Park on the second night, then back to the banks of the Murray River near Merbein on the last night. We signed the logs as B.E.F.W. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the cache!

***Generic Log unless something special above this line.***

I have seen a T shirt with Sleep Eat Cache Repeat [^] Well a four day trip to Mildura with caching friends Team Waldron, E.gregory and FeatherWaite certainly fit that bill. Razz Logs were signed with initials only for the teams - BEFW

Up at daybreak, quick breakfast and cache all day stopping only to have a snack whilst out on the trails, rush to set up camp near dusk for a meal, then perhaps some night caching, early night and REPEAT! Big Grin

Strategic camping at Kings Billabong, Rocket lake and The Common meant we were close by the Geoart and target night caches. Cool Two previous trips in 2013 and 2016 by me and some by E.gregory meant we visited some (well quite a few actually) previous finds but that made it quick for the people that hadn't found them previously. Wink

I can't thank the CO's of these caches enough as some were really very inventive. Even having solved most puzzles before we came we were confronted with field puzzles and gadgets that were just mind boggling. [:X][:X][:X]

***Thanks The Wackys for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Went for a drive to get the geomobile "off the beaten track" with Purrfect Di urging me on... Razz
Ended up in Vic - who would've thought!
The tracks were fine today as the sun was setting, all high and dry.
There was plenty of water in the channel though.
Curious that even though you couldn't get a car across that bridge, the sign saying "no cars" was on the other side pointing down the walking track... perhaps a mini... Razz
Cache is safe and in good condition.

A cool spot to stop and explore with friends. We found this cache whilst on our way back to Mildura for a dinner event with friends.

Well what an unexpected wonderful adventure this week turned out to be! Cool I was meant to be in Alice Springs, but plans needed to change, so a relaxing trip to Victoria from Adelaide was the go. Smile

Found with Wozzle68 and GoodLook as part of our '3 States in a Day' caching and events fest.

We really enjoyed exploring around the Lake. The track was nice and dry - certainly nothing like your pics show.

Found this cache easily, but it wasn't high.
We looked and tried to find an obvious place where it might have been meant to live but couldn't find anywhere where it wouldn't fall down easily and then be out in the open. So we left it covered as we found it. Might be worth checking.

Decided while the weather was good today, Lord Rossatron and I would attempt at a couple of caches as we are having trouble finding ones we have not found locally we decided today to go for a short drive to Lake Cullaraine, was a nice afternoon! Had not been out to the lake since 2005 for school camp! Was great going back out there, really is very pretty.

This one was fun, ha! also another beautiful place!! Probably my favourite, i could see a nice photo shoot happening on this bridge i really enjoyed it (We are photographers). We drove until we thought it was no longer safe to drive, ha yes we seen those big ditches in the road... guessing someone got bogged here, we tried walking over them at first and we were slipping and sliding, I nearly did the splits a couple of times. Really was the scariest experience Razz We then came to this bridge!! It was beautiful, for some reason I was really looking forward to the bridge, i would have been so depressed if they said bridge coming up and it was just a grid bridge or something like that, but no alas! it was an actual bridge, a gorgeous one at that..... of course we took some selfies on it, and a beautiful panorama of it Smile

Thank you so much, for bringing us to this beautiful location!! Smile I hope to come back here one day!!!

Had some time to kill so we popped over to the lake to knock of a few more caches. Initially I wasn't to sure if we would attempt this one as the wetish weather lately has me un easy about dirt roads. (its always me who has to try and dig the car out when we get bogged)
we crossed our fingers and got within about 100 or so meters then stopped as it seemed like a good place to turn the car around and we didnt know what would be ahead. lucky for us we chose to do that as it looks like someone has been bogged there before and on the walk over we were slipping and sliding all over the place.

we stopped at the bridge to take a few photos then went on to nab the cache. Thanks for bringing us here

First for the day after camping last night at Lock9. Thought the access to this one would be too hard on the campervan so unloaded the motorbike and headed to this one on that. I headed here from the north today and followed a sandy track in to GZ Smile
But at about 200 metres to go, the track became a bit too boggy to risk driving through.
I've learned me lesson about driving through boggy spots in the last fortnight, when I got stuck for three days trying to dig the geomobile out of a mud hole at Bael Bael Game Reserve Red Face

So I wandered off on foot.
And found a bridge !!
And a walking track !! [:o]

I wish I had 'ave known.
I would have dropped the geomobile in Cullulleraine and gone for a bike ride around the lake to find the caches Razz

Anyhoo !! Here I was and the cache was a nice easy find once I crossed the bridge that I came to Big Grin
