Hi all, it appears there was work done in this area and the cache has disappeared so I am archiving it so someone else can place a cache in this area.
The bush it was hidden under has been removed now so that's why it wasn't found! [xx(]
Hi there, I have taken on board comments from two cachers, and decided to disable our cache.
I searched amd searched according to the hint but nothing. Tried in late afternoon during daytime. Went back a couple of hours later with a torch, and still nothing. Thought I might see it amongst any dark spots with a torch, but no. Boo hoo.
A much easier find in the evening time with no muggles about and a pretty warm evening to boot. TNLN Thanks.
Last find for the day. 11 today, our record! "little horrible" and runner bean had fun in the park with a visit from yoyo the geocat.
A great idea for children to name a cache after someone they have known and liked. Thanks for this cache, I enjoyed it.
my closest cache. coords seemed a bit out, but found easily with clue. took geocoin. TFTC
Kids had fun finding this one. Many muggles and mugglets in the playground, but took no notice of us. Left a geocoin (that we found at ttractive and forgot to log. whoever takes it will have to pick it up from ttractive - sorry). TFTC
Passed this one this afternoon, far too many muggles around so came back after dark, nice easy find.Took travelbugTFTC
Night visit meant no muggles nearby. Contents quite wet so fried it out. Logbook in okay condition. +mondo
Glad I did not try this during the day. I hate looking "Shifty" around playgrounds. Fairly easily found. TFTC.
Few muggles using the park, but spotted the cache and skillfully retrieved it without looking suspicious at all.
Cheers

Mrs TT and the Bear were having afternoons caching with our 93 year old caching convert. Bit of water in the cache and quite a few muggles made it harder to retrieve. TFTC
Found at night with no light, no gps, no cache description and no clues other that there was a cache somewhere in the park. (Thanks Chucky3)

An easy find on a really cold day. Few muggles unlike the previous times we passed and did not stop.
Lots of water in the cache. Poured out about half a cup. The log was dry in the plastic bag. TFTC TNLN

Went there this morning but the place was alive with young muggles. Came back tonight after dark feeling a bit doggy in kids playground at night but was an easy find. Cach had about quarter of a cup of water in it so took the travel bugs out to dry and move on but one has not been logged as being in there ("Go fast Turn Left") This cache really needs to be dried out in front of the fire. Some cute toys in the cache. (Might go back later with a towel as less and 1.5k away from Chch base)
The advantage of heavy rainfall and cold southerly: No muggles. Quick find and thought that gingerbread is good for kids!
Plaground was deserted on a cold wet day. Cache reasonably visible, and contained some water, which we tipped out, however the log was safely dry. TFTC
Finally getting around to logging. Found it after it got reenabled (officially anyway) - +a tb that's been logged already. TFTC.
Mid afternoon mild Saturday - 1 million muggles. 10 pm the same night only one desperate cacher, no problems.
Muggles galore, but a quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

Muggles in the area left - but then others arrived. However, Mrs Sobad was able to retireve the cache and chat to Sobad over the fence while filling in log. then a quick return. Left geocoin. Thanks Homebase 6, Discovery School
Not able to log this on computer until April 24 - Navstar geocoin already picked up.

The place was teeming with kids and parents when I first arrived. I was actually able to see the cache but had to return hours later in the dark to retrieve it. Thanks. Hatas
A favourite park from my childhood, but so much of the cool adventure stuff has disappeared. Then when H was a youngster this became his "birthday park", the venue for quite a few happy birthday parties. So nice to visit again and see the place still teeming with families - although it does seem much tamer now. TFTC
Cache was very obvious and exposed. A couple of muggles had been looking its way as i waited for the chance to make a move. The opportunity arose and I dashed in to grab the cache. Filled the log while sitting on the seat then waited for quarter of an hour for a chance to put it back! Good swag in this one

A second visit for us. The first time there were muggles galore. We could see the cache, but decided it would have to wait. Today it was much easier, and the cache was quickly in hand. TNLN, TFTC.
This has been a "drive by" cache on numerous occasions, as we knew where it was on our first visit but the place has always had little muggles & parents onsite esp for the holidays. Today we arrived quite late from caching on the hills, so the path was clear to actually retrieve & log the cache. (# 313, 6/6 for the day)
Used to come and play in this park 25-30 years ago, and it is at once quite similar and quite different. Most of the structures from when I was a kid are still there, but the character has changed. It's perhaps a little tamer now?
Quick easy find. Only had to wait a short time while muggles departed. Inside of box was quite damp so wiped it out with a tissue. Left a yellow ducky.
Finally found a time without muggles. Well, there were still plenty there, but I hung around, pretending to exercise and stretch, until they went away.
Perhaps with all the finds, this one ought to be opened up again? It's definitely there and all-good.

Been past four times, and the park is constantly attended by little mugglets and their caretakers. One day I will go past at the lucky time that nobody else is there.
Great find - area now all fixed up and open to public, so no problems with access. TFTC
Was driving past, and junior liked the look of the playground so we stopped. Was quite pleased to see a resident cache as well. Took an unexpected TB away. Many thanks. Please unarchive this cache.
The construction work at this cache site was completed during the week and the warning tape removed. Was driving past with an empty bus and as no midget muggles in attendance... .
We didn't go near this cache as the park is still marked with 'Do Not Enter' tape and the were gates closed.
The gate on the left is unlocked ...
There was a family at the playground when I approached, and although I could see the cache from the other side of the fence, there was no way I would have retrieved it unseen. Back in the car, I noticed that the family had moved on, so grabbed the cache quickly. Took one of the two TBs. TFTC

Found easily, my pda was out of date and didnt know it was unavaible. No workers and didnt go near the construction area. TFTC.
Found no problems apart from fast traffic, a great area close to the river. It will be really good when they have finished the reconstruction

2311. We were past this spot last night - this reminds us why our GPS should always be up to date with the new caches in the area! As soon as we looked at this today we said "Oh no, we stopped for coffee almost right on top of the cache last night!" Normally we take notice of 'Keep Out' signs but this didn't present any danger at all and we had the cache in hand very quickly.
Thanks

Yes, we were another lot who threw caution to the wind and jumped the fence! -Dog, +Headband. TFTC!
Sorry guys - but you are not being at all responsible. You have had at least 4 logs saying that there is danger tape and keep out signs at the cache location, and you have done nothing about it.
You should mark this as unavailable until the work is completed.

Given the nature of the past few logs on this cache, I'm going to disable the listing until the owner can confirm the access issues.

Park seemed to be closed for repairs, but after dark cache was accessible. Cheers Gav [2586]
A relatively quick find, despite the fact that the area is fenced off iwth tape at the moment due to construction in the park.
We had to ignore "keep out" and "danger" signs to find this cache, but it was pretty tame in the park compared to GZ of some caches we have searched for!

What do you know!!!! --- no workmen. Great cache Discovery 1. Clear instructions, nice sized box and plenty of swaps.I liked your explanation at the beginning of the notebook. TNLN Thank you.
I found this cache on the second attempt, On the first attempt all the workmen were having an afterwork beer on such a lovely evening, and by the number of chilly bins they had they were going to be there a while . So after doing the Hoon Hay Arboretum cache I came back and the cache was all mine lol... cheers and thanks Bo
Nice quick find. Noticed the work in progress, I expect the cache will be OK though.

Yes, it was a bit easy to find, so I too hid it more securely. It would be much better if the container was painted camo. I had to leave it alone on my first visit, as a family was sitting very close by having lunch. So I went for a walk to another cache, and came back to find the reserve deserted. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1425)
Twas an easy find for our 1400th cache find. On the way home for the day and passed by this location. TNLN
Had to give this one a miss as the park is closed for a major upgrade may need to be check to see if its OK when they have finished
[An easy find (too easy really). It wasn't tucked in very far so I have tried to push it further out of sight. ]Given the fact that the gates are wired shut due to the work going on [I felt a bit conspicuous in here. Nice to get another FTF while Bo is away!
-Green Hippo TB (hadn't been dropped in cache listing so I'll "grab" it from the owner
