I spent a little while last night looking for this one AGAIN! I am of the opinion the cache is gone. Given previous comments about the quality of this cache I now believe it's time to archive as the owner has not logged on since August 2010.
[font=Comic Sans MS][green]I think it's time to call it a day - there is no cache anymore
[/green]
[/green]
I have tried this one twice now without much luck. Given the recent DNF's I thought I'd post mine also. It might be time for the owner to check that its still there.
20 minutes of searching with Mr 4 ("Wear is it Daddy?") & Mr 2 ("Daddy pick me up!") yielded no joy of any kind.
GZ was VERY bushy and overgrown, full of litter and even a dead bird (perhaps fittingly a magpie). Heaps of muggle foot traffic as well.
Not what you would call a pleasant hunt at all. Two sad sprockets to boot...

i had a very good look through these bushes with my not very helpful brother haha
but no luck, wasnt a fave cache to try and find especially with a dead bird there
anyway hopefully ill have better luck next time

DNF but not too worried as I didn't look very hard - not overly keen on these bush-bashing hides (as others have noted, too). Might be worth noting that the bush is pretty much completely trampled, hopefully not by previous geocachers.
We've searched for this one before so as we pulled up the kids all groaned, "Not this one again!" Much more successful this time, although the kids took a cursory look at the prickly shrubs at GZ and buggered off back to the car. EB99 used the Mrs Walenator stick method to locate the cache. Happy to tick this one off, TFTC.
Found it @ approx. 18:10
An easy enough find, but I was unimpressed with the container, and the lack of effort put into this one.

[Sigh] Another visit, yet another DNF. Spent quiet some time crawling through the bushes amongst the little orb weavers etc I must be blind - this is my nemesis cache I think!
Found this cache but don't actually liked it. Too much frustration and crawling through bushes. If you stand RIGHT on the spot and search around really thoroughly - it is the only option to find it. Also the container is still cracked a bit (although it does not affect the cache quality).
The area is really very bushy. I first tried to find the cache during my walk at lunchtime, but couldn't. Then returned to it on Saturday and found it. Actually, it was not too pleasant to look to the cache in the bushes.
Second attempt at this one as I had a meeting down the road. Spent 10 minutes pre-meeting... ick.... What an unpleasant search! Didn't feel so much like a cacher than a policeman scouring the landscape for weapons or severed body parts, so wide was the search area....
Gave up and went to my meeting, deciding that I'd try again after and if I didn't find it it would end up on my ignore list.... Scoured, grumbled, scoured (luckily I'd had a few champagnes at the meeting so was delightfully ignorant of other people in the carpark) and just as I was about to give up I spotted a corner of the container. Thanks goodness!!!
Ticked off.. finally.

Out with my mate Blacklegend17 (Marshy) for a night cache run. Marshy located the cache after a bit of a search. Go the Tigers .. maybe next year. TFTC.
Another night find with my good caching mate Marty (Quasar3671). Anything to do with footy is good, with the GF replay coming up on the weekend and me being an avid Collingwood supporter....Pretty easy find but took about 5 mins to locate due to the volume of the search area.
Find # 1527 @ 10:40
Found on the way to "Another Bung Lunch event". Boy, sure was a lot of ped traffic around here today. The unusual bout of sunshine seemed to be bringing everyone out. Even a friendly magpie came over to help with the search, bird I mean, not a supporter. TNLNSL. Thanks 7A!

I was determined to find this cache today after a DNF earlier this year. After about 5 minutes I had in in my hands. I had actually stepped on it during my search! TFTC, glad it's off my list.
What a hide, so many places to look, Searched for ages and walked back and forth several times. One last look and I had the cache in hand.

quick find, im interested in the rifle club now. thanks. may need to put another log book in, everyone is taking a complete page to log their finds.
Another attempt, another failure. DNF & WTF. Can someone please post a hint to help the rest of us find this needle in a haystack?
struggled with this one... may be my inexperience (or maybe the GPS was out?)
Looked around in the bushes for 20 mins, got nothing

No luck for me, but I didn't have much time as I was headed for the airport to fly back to Queensland. Also, the community garden was being looked after while I was there so had to go into stealth mode. I'll be back later this year. It's currently the closest unfound cache from my future workplace.
Found after Another Bung Lunch Event. Fairly easy once my GPSr settled down & told me where to go My 4yo daughter did the swap. T: toy car, L: Tweety keyring.
Found it. 3rd of 3 of my "I would rather smash myself in the face with a rustly old kettle than go and see BABBA with you dear" caching evening.
First time I'd really done any caching at night. Bought a new geo-torch a few week ago, and not had the chance to use it.
Was a wee bit confused by a quite obvious hiding spot that wasn't doh !

I've no doubt it's in there somewhere, but I gave up after ten minutes of searching and several cuts to my hands, plus it was getting dark. I like these ones as much as hides in ivy!
Second find for today. Very quick.

My first ever find with my iPhone!
It was a cold, wet morning and I considered NOT doing this cache when I arrived at the Swinburne Campus for meeting. But, being a cacher, that was never going to happen. I opened my Geocaching App on the iPhone and followed the map around to GZ.
Once I'd arrived in the area, the compass was swinging all over the place - tree and cloud cover I guess! I took a few readings, triangulated and then dug out the cache.

This one was truly weird. I parked and pulled out the GPS. It seemed to have a nice solid lock and indicated a likely spot. Nothing. Checked the hint. Seemed OK. Checked GPS 52m to cache I repositioned myself 52m away and found the cache almost immediately. Strange indeed.
Decided to walk this way on my way home from an afternoons stroll and have a go. Had to be careful to ensure there were no muggles watching me from their cars, but I was lucky enough to go straight to the bush hiding the cache . Not a bad way to finish off a day. TFTC
EuDes & I were on our way home from an evening caching expedition when we dropped by here for a look. I appreciated some guidance from previous finder EuDes but even so it took 5-10 minutes of poking and uncovering before I uncovered the cache at 23:05. Took the TB Antarctica Travel Express.
So, the 2008 premiers Hawthorn didn't even make the 2009 finals? As Nelson Muntz would say: "Ha Ha!"
Thanks 7A.

Interesting little spot near a quaint little oval. TFTC Left a man and took a lady.
Thanks for putting this cache in such a great location, near the 'hallowed ground' for this Hawthorn supporter!
Took lizard and left Geocoin TED7BQ - figured Melbourne would be a good location to help this bug on its journey to Antarctica!

3rd time lucky for the day, not many muggles about, but each one probably wondering about a crazy man with ski poles. I hate these grasses...need more of a clue here. and the second cop car i've seen today scoping me out.
Found at 8:40am after searching for 10 minutes or so. The old ground looks a bit different now from its glory days years ago.

Lovely fresh day for a walk in my lunch time. Working now in Richmond has opened up all a new side of the city to work on. Memories flooded back as I walked past tennis courts I played on in my youth. I was very surprised to see no one around in the immediate area. Did not take long to find. Thanks for the cache.
Found on way home from work. Made the commute much more enjoyable. FYI Log book is getting rather wet and has about 15 pages left. TNLN TFTC.
Had a very quick find here today at 11 am. Hope the container survives the elements for a while!
I used to barrack for the Hawks as a child (don't really follow anyone these days), but I have never been to this ground. Thanks for bringing me here Scotchboys. BTW my father taught at Scotch in the 50's, living in the boarding house. Much has changed since!

Find # 2851 and 4th of the day at 3:14 pm. On another afternoon out caching by myself. This one took a little bit of searching to find. TNLN, left my mark in the log, Thanx 7A....
Here with Big Matt and Steeba as part of our Vic invasion weekend. No luck with this one.
We had a big scratch around and didn't find the cache, I'd be a bit concerned by the pile of clippings as it looks like someone has been gardening in the area.
Eventually found just as we were about to throw in the towel we spotted it. TNLNSL.

I found this cache with caughtatwork and the family today. caughtatwork found this cache while we were looking for the easter bunny. Haha!
[^] [^] Where do I begin?? My first geocache in Australia....my first geocache in the whole Southern hemisphere....and, since the moment I first saw a youtube clip of AFL, I have been mad about game, AND my boyfriend's grandfather used to play for the Hawthorn Hawks (making me an automatic Hawthorn fan by "marriage")....and the first full game I ever watched in America was the 2008 Grand Final where Hawthorn TROUNCED Geelong in a game that can only be described as *legendary.* SO, for my first cache ever in Australia and the Southern hemisphere to be at the Hawk's original training ground was extremely meaningful for me. After signing the logbook, my boyfriend, his dad and I went out onto the field and kicked a footy around for a while. What a lovely first day in Australia!!! Thank you for the hide, and Go Hawks!!!! [^] [^]
I was in the area to pick up my daughters laptop from the repairer so I decided to do a cache, the oval sure was looking bad. the cache took me longer than it should first I found a few cans that I removed and then I found someones porn stash that I did not remove I was not going to explain to the wife what they were doing in the car and then finally I found the cache with a nice crack in the side of it. Thanks 7A for the cache.
We arrived here and could not fail to hear the head banging music from the tin shed (band practice) so we thought we should be ok. Found cache OK and noted that Monchs Mob had found it today as well. Just as I was putting it back, I heard some people coming around the corner and fearing that I was going to get muggled, I grabbed the cache and walked off. Turned around for a look at the muggles only to recognise Monch's Mob. Phew saved again. Had a chat and then moved on.
Thanks 7A for the cache.

Ran into The Swaggies here, for the first of several times today.
Not sure how much longer this cache will last. After the heat yesterday, all the surrounding shrubberies are well and truly dead - the cache itself is a bit hard to hide without a lot of cover left.
Had a walk inside the ground as well. I think I was here for the last game played here, but time hasn't been kind to the facilities. The playing surface is a bit of a mess, but the buildings are probably nearing that point where they either need some serious maintenance done (e.g. there's bricks missing from the main walls, which is a fair sign that the mortar must be decaying) or they'll have to consider knocking stuff down. Not sure if it's a classified building or not, but it's bloody ugly...

The hallowed ground of Hawthorn was looking very dry in the ridiculous heat Mexico is experiencing at the moment. Did this with two muggle friends, who had seen the cache but thought it was rubbish, I had to enlighten them. Then on for Vietnamese lunch.
The C&C gang were having coffee nearby, and I remembered we had an unfound cache nearby. The first time I tried this the GPS had me about 8 metres from the cache and I searched in vain. Today, the phone GPS led me virtually straight to the cache for an easy find, our first for 2009. Thanks 7A
Found by Mary & David at 1500. A fortunate quick find on a warm afternoon. Our thanks to 7A - hope you did well in your exams and can now enjoy the holidays.

While there were plenty of cars parked nearby, there was barely a soul within cooee of the cache. I searched around for a few minutes until I found the cache, virtually where the GPS said it should be. Thanks for the cache.
We found the spot but to many muggles around, we will be back to have another go.

Last time I was here was about 1970 to see a St.Kilda vs Hawthorn match. From Wikapedia, I see I was one of 16,698 and St.Kilda won 14.18 to Hawthorn's 11.11 - Carn the Saints.
Today however, I was out of luck. Spent quite a while looking all about but no luck. Tried the clue, but it just stated the obvious. Sigh!

We pulled up here to find a very full car park but fortunately no muggles in them. This combined with spot on co-ords made for a nice quick cache find. We left a tb behind to see if he could join in the footy fever

Been a while since I have been to this ground. It isn't looking too flash. The carpark was well patronised though, I suspect train travellers are using it. Only one muggle to interupt our quick search.
