Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
should have checked if it was back online but we were passing through and dropped in just in case

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. This was our 18th cache find in the caching run & we found it at: 12:52.
This now makes our total find count 5254
Hmmm. All those DNF's and no maintenance from the owner. It has been replaced by interstate teams, but really needs a magnet or two to make the cache invisible to muggles.
Coordinate Accuracy: Poor (10+ metres)
Cache Condition: Good but very visible.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks pirate63 for the hunt today.

The cache is in plain sight and can't be hidden any better. It really needs some TLC to make it muggle proof.
(Come on, step up and do the right thing. 4 months without maintenance is really poor form. [:(!])

Found on the great Eclipse Trip of 2012 with Freddo.
A solid day driving between Guyra where we camped in the Highest Caravan Park In Australia and Robins Nest in Stanthorpe - where the monkeys play soprano in July. Thanks for the fun!!
We replaced this one as it had died.
Thanks to pirate63 and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Found on the 2012 Tour de Eclipse. Cache replace. The bloody nano has fallen down the hole.
Add us to the DNF list - we arrived today to find an obvious GZ but no cache could be felt. We had no magnetic devices with which to go fishing - we suspect it is there but just not in arms reach. Thanks anyway pirate63, a good way to stretch the legs on a long drive

Looked inside and out but came up nought on this one. was rewarded with the arrival of a steam train from somewhere north so went to look at that instead.
Urgent maintenance is required before the loose magnet is lost and the cache cannot be placed in its hide. Please see the previous log for more details.
It was coming to the end of the day when we arrived at GZ to search for this cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. However we struck an issue as we removed the log from the ccache container - the magnet had come loose from the container and fell onto the ground. Luckily we were able to find it as the cache container would not adhere to its host without the magnet. After signing the log, we replaced the magnet back inside and then inserted the log. The cache them went back into its hide. However, until it is repaired, all cachers need to take great care with this cache as one false move and the cache will fall and cannot be retrieved. TFTC pirate63.
aaarrgh! was about what I was feeling as I looked for this little blighter with the cold winter wind blasting across the open space. TFTC.
After a little bit of searching, managed to locate the required - hopefully it doesn't get lost below in the near future!!
GeoWife and I on a trip to Mudgeeraba in QLD via the New England Highway.
Just over the boarder and what a wonderful train.

After searching high and low geo partner nabbed this one on a cold windy day in the sunshine state.
Took a little while to find and nearly lost it during retrieval. Gotta love micro's!
Aaarrgh! Found it! Nicely placed.
Nearby station quite pretty as well.
And we enjoyed the pump too.

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Her Majesty at 11:45am. This was the second cache found on our trip south for the OZ Mega Event in Albury. This is also a good hide. It was a short walk on a beautiful morning to GZ.
Oh yes a trick little hide this...
Took a few minutes of looking before this one came to hand..

Aaarrgh! I know we've found this cache before. I'm not sure when. But we could walk right up and grab it and sign it today. For some reason I must have forgotten to log it way back when, so here is our signature and here is our log. Thanks for the cache pirate63. Nice hide in an interesting area.
Nice sneaky cache I guess this would have been a busy area when the trains were running.Pity they still dont. tftc pirate63
Nice easy find
Great spot to reflect on the past
Now is this cache NSW or Qld side of the border ?

I didn't know they made containers that small and they are hard to open with greasy fingers (don't eat chips while attempting this one). Still should have included a pencil though!
Didn't sign as our pen...... ran out of steam[:o)]. OK, it's late, best I can do .

A good cache for our last one today. The cache was spotted quickly, you just need to know where to look. A good old train station. TFTC pirate63
Found this neat cache on our road trip North to Noosa.
Many thanks for the cache and breaking our journey.
TNLNSL..........Cheers

Often you don't realise the history you drive past. I drive through here a couple of times a year, but haven't stopped till today. The tracks are very quiet these days.
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache pirate63.
best wishes,
Wal

What a great little piece of history. We had parked at the driver reviver and the ladies invited us to their local Chrissy in Wallangara, with Father Christmas even rocking up. TFTC
A micro indeed that needs a steady hand. Great hiding location and lots of interesting infrastructure laying around to look at. Just imagine how large these rail yards were years ago. Thanks pirate63.
Had to venture into NSW for this one, but we were quick enough to get out again before any of the locals noticed.
The trans-shipping of freight between different rail freight organisations here would have provided much employment in days gone by, and much work for really useful engines like Percy. Fortunately the Queensland side of the rail system is at least being maintained, if only for tourist traffic. TFTC

Reminded me of some of the old railway stations near home, like the one at Bunyan near Cooma. Cache an easy find, spent more time getting the log out and putting it back than looking...Thanks.
There was a muggle family walking along the railway track but they didn't take any notice of us...we pretended to take a photo then Ms Bushies2 found it quickly and took it to our car to sign and waited for the family to leave before returning the cache back. Thanks pirate63 for bringing us to the old station and cache.
Just a note to say this one is listed as being in NSW, and it is actually on the blue side of the border.
Certainly would have been a busy place a few moons ago. I see the old underground conveyors are now cordoned off and this platform has certainly seen better days. Shame the old scales at GZ don't work any longer. Great area here though. TFTC.
Geez it's a while since I've done a pirate63 cache. This one was up to usual standard. I love anything to do with railways or railway stations. The old machinery is fascinating. I like the plates that show where rolling stock was manufactured, e.g. "Birmingham". There's a lot of history there.
An interesting area to explore. One would be waiting for Percy a log time these days. TFTC
Great hide. I replaced the log for this one as I happened to have one the right size with me. What an amazing piece of Aussie history. TFTC Pirate63.
Found at 11:35. Spotted a black snake while looking sunning himself in the long grass. Lucky this was a away from the cache so do danger of walking on him.
Couldn't sign log as the log was totally full. Took photo of log as proof.

This one needs a new log - as the old one is full. Sorry - don't carry those types with me.
What a great old area. I neared GZ and found a likely spot my GPSr was pointing to. After a bit of an inpsection, I managed to grab the prize. As mentioned previously, no doubt, the log is full. My name is in there though. TFTC pirate63
We gave one of these sneaky suckers in Brisbane .. Love and gate them , log is full signed initials
Great to find out about the history of Jennings and Wallangarra. QLD V's NSW. It's so easy to miss the cache. Look more carefuly. It is there. TFTC pirates63

Found this with TassieGirl13 on our caching trip south.
We found the cache after a short search then spent ages looking around.
A nice interesting spot, so glad there was a cache here to stop at.

Decided I needed to make my trip a 4 state visit from South Australia to Tenterfield. A great hide.... thankyou
Found it on our way down south for the looonnngg week end. Loved the Duel gauge tracks. TFTC
Nice one! Took us a little while to find our first nano cach. Great spot ... Very well done, thanks.
missed cache as I did not realise I was looking for something so small. I just down loaded a stack of GPS refs prior to a road trip and did not have all info and photos required to find this little one. GPS ref was pretty accurate and I checked inside of pump but it may have been stuck to the top of the inside of the pump head.
found it with krossbo on our way home from basket swamp.
what an awsome Micro.
(i really need to get a pair of tweasers for my kit)
TFTC SL
cheers
