All the RSL folk were inside when the Team McWinTrexON military investigators arrived to consider this object. After checking where McPhan had already looked a few times, we eventually had the cache in hand. A surprise to find it archived though, but must log it because of the effort put in. Thanks MADSTARS.
Lesson learned about GSAK - my updated PQ did not show this as archived, but it wouldn't be the first time we've looked for an archived cache and had success. It was dark and the locals were mostly inside, so we had time to search and resorted to the clue also. Thanks MADSTARS.
Found as part of the McWinTrexO'n team, Bit of an oops here for this ons, we weren't aware that it had been archived, still we found the cache and logged it. I've looked for a lot of these over the years and never found one down the barrel, youd think a small one might fit there as an official looking 'barrel plug' wouldn't you. Now if only someone would leave that as a hint. oh ,... never mind.

2125. RexTrex is now dubbed the cannon retrieval tool. On both of our last invasions he has come up with the goods where all else have failed. It was only after I checked on-line when we got back to our unit that we found that it was archived. Pesky foggies.

I will have to archive this one for a year or so.
The locals within the RSL are a bit sus with this one.

Had a good hunt, used the hint, and still no joy. Whacked the top of my had a beauty on the barrel. Cheers Gav
We looked for this one for about 4 minutes when Mrs R took the find ! that was not before Mr R boofed his head on the barrel when I stood up, barrel one my head nil ! thanx for the cache
Found at 1650hrs [^] and on last for the day. Before using the building next door.
Yes you either love them or hate them. We also used the hint after a fair search, dont know how we missed it earlier.
SL & TFTH, plus thanks for a great day out in Shoal Bay

Found 10:30am. A quick find. Longer getting the log back in! Thanks. Will be back for dinner later on this week.
We had a brief look for this one earlier in the day but decided that daylight and muggles were too risky. So armed with a torch we returned after dark and found it in about 5 secs. Good hide.

I had done caches like this before and was well aware of the number of possible locations. Fortunately the area was deserted first thing on a Sunday morning and I was able to search thoroughly. Before too long I was on my way, cache logged.
Wasn't sure what to expect at this one as we have never found or looked for a nano before and after reading the info i wasn't sure of our chances. These are always hard on main roads on on the guns there are so many spots. Read the clue and of course a bunch of girls, what the hell is an axle??? Luckily however one of us had an idea and then we had the cache in hand in no time. Unbelievable, cant believe the size of this and that it actually has a log in it!!! Had found it and were about to log when we heard a voice from a car that had just pulled up and called out to us which made it an easy find for them. Chatted to pprass who were extremely friendly to us and they are the first other geocaches we have ever met on the road so they made a great impression on us and was great to talk in person about peoples caching adventures.

Found at 3.10pm GAFF5. The 18th cache found on c-pprass’s annual trip to Port Macquarie with the mothers-in-law and sister – the oldies have been very good so far!
As we approached GZ we found the cache very easily – ha to nano’s! It was actually in the hands of Crystal Pauls and Kombi_173 (who don’t appear to have logged the cache yet). We then spent around 15 minutes chatting to the girls and learning all sorts of things. Great to meet fellow cachers at Port Stephens.
Thanks MADSTARS.

We've been following in the footsteps of Jumpedin2it, and Geowife and son, refused to join me on the nano search, being that today is ANZAC day and the busiest day at the RSL Club! However nano's are a passion and I could not resist the challenge. TFTC
Decided that it was best to look for this on the day before ANZAC Day as the place would be rather busy tomorrow!! It took a bit of searching and had to pretend to take lots of photos when muggles passed cars, but Marco didn't give up - he is a champion with nano's! TNLNSL TFTC
My geocaching infected niece had this one dusted before I could set foot out of the car!TFTC
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm those things are more omplex than I thought.Took a while but eventually found that little sucker.Good difficult cache
Ka-Pow indeed
The RSL was a good lead
A micro amongst all that steel
I’ll be here a while I feel
But all is good
Cause I saw it where I stood
Too early for any muggles to be about and Mrs KC did the dirty on me and looked where I had already had a man look..there is was...larger than life...we don't need the geokiddies about when Mrs KC is vertically challenged...Ka-Pow!!! #600 find
Rolling up to a gun with a nano gives you that sinking feeling. Esp after the KABOOM experience yesterday.
The mojo was well and truly working so of course I put my hand straight on the prize in under 3 seconds. Just as well too.
Clear skies from TeamAstro. [^]
Our last find for the weekend. Muggles thought we were playing around on the gun but we had other intentions. We had to put up a smoke screen before we got down to business.
Thanks For the Caches Madstars

Not so sure about placing a cache on RSL "colours". Had to use the clue on this one so that I could make a quick find and get away.

We needed the hint to do this one 5 min and we had it not many muggles around on a wet day another little cach worth finding
A quick easy find for us. We have found a few similar caches to this one, so had no trouble here. Quickly signed log and replaced. TFTC.
soon as i saw what the cache was on , #@$%* . but it only took a minute or so . thanks for the clue , other wise it was going to be a long day

After spending the morning walking across to Point Stephens and swimming in Fingal Bay we decided to avail ourselves to half a dozen of MADSTARS' caches.
This was the sixth. This one I was determined to find after the trouble I had with KABOOM. Well, I found it after crawling around for about 10 minutes, but I did feel a bit conspicuous. I hope I wasn't too obvious.

Quick find within 20 seconds - maybe because we have picked a few similar caches in similar spots ... Signed logbook.
With a bit of help from Colby 1 and Neenynoonoo. A whole load of blood collecting muggles having lunch about 3m from the cache. We caused a diversion and got it though.
Son was happy because he found two nanos today....although this one was just the magnet. He couldn't believe it was a cache! Thanks
Man you pay big bucks for the original geocaching nano's and they dont last five weeks...
You pay ten bucks for cheap shody made caches and they last a life time...
New shody nano cache has been put in place ready to find.
Happy caching...

Well you would not believe it! The nano's magnet fell off and the nano was laying out in the open waiting for me to pick it up...
I am glad I went to the RSL for dinner...
It is strange, I spend big money on the proper Nano and it falls to pieces... I buy ten for ten bucks and they last a life time...
It is funny sometimes....
Anyhow I will replace in the next week...
Cheers

Have a few like this on the Central Coast so with the clue it was an easy find, although in a very open spot!! TNLN.
I always enjoy a challenge on a gun, after I find it. Found at 1720hrs, #20 and last for the day. Seems like most of them were MADSTARS caches.
The magnet has detached itself and needs to be glued back into the cache.
Thanks MADSTARS.

Busted Kraut_2OCU logging this one as the geo-wife and I pulled into the RSL carpark. I ducked over and we signed the log together. The kids seemed very excited to have someone new to share geocaching with. A pleasant caching experience had by all. Thanks MADSTARS.
We did this cache on a whim after collecting another two around little beach. We didn't have the details but I remembered the write up and we took a guess. It was our little one who found the cache, and in about 3 minutes. I'm sure it would have taken his parents much longer.
As we were signing in we were busted. We had the perfect cover. Little kids playing - how innocent. But Pensive Travellers came by with GPS in hand and figured us out. Great cache MADSTARS.

Another MADSTARS cache that has the kind of hint that red tag likes
I also get a kick out of nanos on Guns so went away very happy after finding it.

After Father's Day lunch at the club, jagged a park right next to the cache and found quickly. TFTC!
Frustrating? I would think that EVIL would be a better term to describe this cache.
I loved it.
Thanks for the hide.

Found this one without having to use the clue. I must be starting to get used to these, after checking a few more spots for about 10 minutes I looked at exactly the right spot!
Thanks MADSTARS for the cache. Just a note I was the second to sign this log and there were two logs already in my GPX file.

Found while visiting Nelson Bay -- The nano was not what I expected so took some time to find.
Woo Hoo Another FTF. I am surprised this has not been found before this. Took a few minutes to find but got there in the end. SL on cycled back to the motel in the dark.
