I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
The broadwalk is closed. The Council are either going to repair or replace the broadwalk after July.
Nice walk and great find for team Chikchax! Did not sign the log as it has become rather soggy in the recent moisture. TFTC!
I accidentally won an online auction soooo.... it's off to the Waikato so I can chip away at the endless caches I still have to find here.
This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords but I'm not sure if I found this in the way it was meant to be hidden. Less hint - more title I'm afraid but the log is still dry so that's good.. I've been looking forward to a wander around Lake Rotokauri for a while now so it's nice to be out here finally. Cheers kiwiteachernz, TFTC

We decided to venture out with the 6 month old and 2.5 year old for a morning's adventure. A quick find after dodging the showers.
The second time to search for the Roto caches around the lake. This time with M14. The East side is finished so we parked in the middle. Of course we where looking in the bush first. Then turned around and spotted it close to the track!.
Thanks for hiding kiwiteachernz!
Thanks for hiding kiwiteachernz!
Second attempt at finding this cache as my previous attempt had too many people walking along the walkway. Soon spotted the cache, signed the log and off to try and find more. Greetings from the UK.
Easier than we first thought, like everyone before we headed off track to find that wasn't nessecary at all. Great cache, thanks.
Bit boggy here so Mrs Jag went on ahead and found we needn't have gone off track after all!
Walking round the lake today with Supernanny and Merlot58, we missed the easy approach to GZ. Following our GPS instead, we made this one a lot harder than it needed to be and some in our group got wet feet. Once at GZ, the cute container was soon spotted and we made our way back to the main trail along the boardwalk.
On an adventure in Hamilton with Supernanny and Jag50. We made this harder to get to than it should have been as we followed our compass instead of taking the path so got wet feet. Then we found the easy way where our feet would have stayed dry
Out for a walk around the lake today with friends, and also to pick up a few smileys. Quick find here and scores a favourite point. TFTC
#356. Lovely if a bit windy winters day. So out for a walk in this neck of the woods. Very accurate co-ords assisted the quacking of this GC. GC all in good order. Tftc.
Despite a very cold wind, the sun shone down and thanks to 4robf4 being prepared to get down to it, we found GZ.TFTC
Had nice break at the like nearby. Last hide for me in the area. Well used my torch to locate it. Not necessary! Well placed hide. Enjoyed! All good at GZ. Thanks!
Followed all the clues and read back on previous finds but still couldn't find. Led astray for a few minutes by tracks. Will come back again another day
Team BOP team up once again for an impromptu pre-Xmas caching mission in the Waikato.
Squirrel nutcase had his list of recent caches to clear the area again, Flossy had a few targeted, while Myself, Jandals and DC were going with the flow.
Thanks for bringing to this nice area I hadnt discovered before.
A quick easy find.

Giving up on these ones. Far too wet, far too boggy. Even with good shoes on the terrain is too bad.
It's stll there and accessible all year without gumboots ... if you find the path .
A pleasant walk to GZ, but sadly it just resulted in a DNF. Doing caches in this area cannot be done without wellies. Good walking shoes are no good. After carefully leaving the boardwalk, and trying to get to the trees, the ground was just too soft to walk on, and I had to abandon the search. Along with other caches that I just walked past because they were properly rated for terrain, it appears that coming here was a bad idea.
A cute little cache found quickly in good condition. The floti boardwalk is a bit strange to walk along though. TFTC.
Decided to go for a caching mission this afternoon after not finding any for about a month. Enjoyed walking down this wee boardwalk path. Was a bit confused by the hint when I got to GZ as there didn't seem to be anything that matched but after reading logs I figured out where it must be hiding. Cutest cache of the day and that deserves a favourite point thanks for the cache!
In Hams for a couple of days, had lil grandaughter with me, so cant go too much further, had trouble finding trail heads, and there dosent seem to be a track right around, will investigate further another time, thanks anyway and a fave for this as the delight in her finding it was priceless. Many Thanks.
Very cool cache, didn't take us to long to find it once we'd pinpointed the location.
This was a quick find on a very cute boardwalk. Quack you very much for the cache!
Great! A FP from us for this clever placement. All dry here today and very pleased to see that we weren't required to go off the boardwalk - that just wouldn't be right! Tftc
Back again in Hamilton for another short work week and decided to stay a 1-2h longer to avoid the traffic back to AKL. Enjoyed the walk around the lake within my pink gumboots. Cute. TFTC
After the nearby event today I decided to have a walkabout around Rotokauri Lake. It was a pleasant day for a pleasant walk. It surely floats as at one stage it felt as if I was walking on a swing bridge. Loved the backup system if a "What if" situation arises.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
I tried to capture all the caches in this area today on a walk with my daughter however the rain had other ideas and this was the only one we managed to find. What a lovely area and so close to the city. Definitely a good spot to come back to when the weather is much better and it is drier underfoot.
This was a sad day at all! After nearly four weeks at amazing North Island I had to leave this beautyfull country at the evening. But still I had this day and after spending the night in Hamilton I started with a nice stroll along this lovely lake. The sun was shining (as usual), I met friendly people (as usual), saw a beautyfull landscape (as usual) and picked up some nice caches (as usual).
Thank you for a nice start of the day and for the caches.

cool part of the walk nice short cut, how ever got a little lost coming back along the path
Went with another cacher from work & some converts. Loved the cache container. TFTC
Being cautious types we walked our bikes along the board walk. The cache was right where the gps said it was.
Somewhere I missed reading the part about the boardwalk. Walked along a path until I got at right-angles to mark and went in cross country style ... . Came out of the jungle to see the boardwalk and discovered cache. Yep ... if there is a hard way of doing it ... I'll pick it! Cheers for the cute cache.
Took a walk along the boardwalk did not pass go and found our prize ......... not much floating going on today.
Cheers

Looked high and low and up and down but we couldn't find it. Will have to come back
I had a friend visiting so looked for somewhere non-urban with several geocaches and decided upon Rotokauri. I do enjoy the boardwalks around the region and the simple boardwalk hides, although this one made a pleasant change from the usual type. Thanks for the cache.
Tested the accuracy of the old GPS vs the iphone. GPS won. Would have needed the waders with the iphone.
Nice hide. TFTC

We had a day off from our Bridge Congress so we thought a walk around the lake would be pleasant before the forecast rain.
We stopped and talked to some boys fishing at the lakeside. As we left they hooked a fish much to their delight but unfortunately it got away, as they do
Walked down the boardwalk and found the fun hide which put a smile on our dials.

445 Not good on floating things. But no problem today. No movement as no other people around.
I Laughed when I saw what the cache was attached to TFTC
To the tune of the song from the lego movie
Pontoon bridge is awesome

I did enjoy your floati scorcher of a day so carried on to the next cache hopefully in the shade.tftc
Great hiding spot, and nicely themed. I could see where others may have left the path in search of the prize, but I took a different approach and stayed clean and dry. Thanks for this one.
The nano cacher was particularly impressed with this cache (as shown by his attempt to eat it!). Thanks for a great excuse for a walk and a few more smilie faces.
