Found It!I visited WP1 for this one over a year ago now. Today I finally got around to visiting the final location. An interesting drive out there and a quick find while being watched by several cows!TFTC
Heading into Wagga after a camp at Shanty Reserve I stopped in to take a look at this multi, took longer then expected but a top walk completing the loopThanks for the cache
After discussing with CO I have replaced the missing container. Set ready for next finders.
It's probably a good thing we're in Spud's Patrol today.
Tyres down. Here we go.
An easy find at GZ because the elevation didn't align with the hint.
Signed and replaced in more appropriate manner... and then...
**OUCH!**
Whilst I had been busy keeping my eyes open in case I had company in the grass, I forgot to watch the beasties in the air.
One of whom stung my on the side of my elbow, right on the soft fleshy bit.
Damn that hurt.
But hey, I found the cache so all good.

We also collected the information and found the cache on two different dates. After spending our day in the shops, we decided to attempt this one on our way home. We did not have the correct vehicle with us, so we drove as close as we could get and then walked a 150m or so to gz. The cache was quickly spotted whilst keeping an eye out for snakes on a pretty hot day. Thanks for placing a cache here for us to find, would have never know about this place without it. TFTC!

Found on a trip around central New South Wales with e.gregory1. Our original plans were to travel through Bourke, Cunamulla and Toowoomba to attend the Dayboro event in Queensland and return via Port Macquarie and central NSW, but a series of events that included road closures due to flooding in southern inland Queensland, a covid outbreak in Brisbane and widespread storm damage and road closures along the north coast of NSW resulted in multiple changes of plans during the trip. As it eventuated our travels took us to central New South Wales, on a route from Broken Hill to Cobar, Nyngan, and Gunnedah from where we meandered southwards through some great scenery and historic towns that included Dunedoo, Wellington, Cowra and Yass. We then headed in a roughly westerly direction through to Temora, Wagga Wagga, Deniliquin and Swan Hill before making a final dash for home. All up we found a good mix of Traditionals, Puzzle Caches, Multicaches, Adventure Labs, Wherigos, Earthcaches, Letterbox Hybrids and Virtual Caches on a very entertaining and enjoyable trip. Thanks for the cache The Farmers 5!
Found on a trip around inland NSW with FeatherWaite.
Our original intention was to attend the Mega event at Dayboro in Queensland, travelling up via Broken Hill, Bourke, Cunamulla and Toowoomba, then home via the NSW coast to Port Macquarie then on to Adelaide via central NSW. However, the Covid outbreak in Brisbane forced us to reconsider, particularly given that the Mega and associated events were within the area of concern and we may have had difficulty re-entering NSW to get home and then would have had to quarantine back in SA for 14 days.
The floods in the north and east of NSW also hampered our travel plans. But we were able to develop a new plan that took us on a very pleasant tour around country NSW, picking up some interesting caches along the way.

I collected the information for this cache as I was leaving Wagga Wagga on my last trip. Seeing where GZ was, I decided to leave it for the next trip. This morning, on my way into Wagga Wagga, I made the diversion to GZ. A nice bit of off road driving, then a quick find. TFTC.

Now that was an interesting drive. A few big puddles to get through and then past a homeless shanty.

After yesterdays big adventure I was hoping for a sleep in and then a quiet morning caching before winding my way back to Albury. Was awake early though and was all packed and ready to go at 7 when I noticed the car had a flat tire. Hadn't changed one on this vehicle so took a while - looks like I ripped the side wall yesterday (though pretty certain I didn't drive on it flat).
The plan then was to pick up 6 multis to complete a challenge from Victoria, climb The Rock to loo for butterflies and claim the old cache there, and then head home. Achieved both (and got a few traditions as well) but took longer than I thought and only just beat the rest of the family home when I got there at 3.
Last one to get the desired 6 and should have read the last log more thoroughly and walked the last 300 metres. An interesting memorial and the numbers were quickly crunched. GZ was not far away and quickly worked my way in (had to review a job here a few years ago so knew where I was heading). Track was pretty rough and past two guys who were camped on the river and then as I bottomed out again I decided to park about 70 metres away. Passed another camnp (though this one looked a bit more permanent but currently unoccupied). Thankfully GZ was a bit inland from them but I was worried by some of the timber on the ground. However cache was found in the second place I looked. All good and log signed. 6 down and now a slow drive out.

Wow - I think the D/T for this cache is slightly underrated! Definitely not your average 1.5/1.5 park and grab type cache! Got the information sorted out and when plugged into my phone I thought "where the hell is that!"
Trusted it however and surveyed the map for a way to the cache. Managed to spot a potential road and started my drive in.
The drive was a little bit hairy along the uneven and bumpy first road in a 2WD, funnily enough two big 4WD's drove past me the opposite way! I think they were judging my car slightly!
I drove almost the entire way to GZ but stopped just about 100m or so as there was a tire track in the road that was a bit too deep for my car.
Made a quick find at GZ and luckily saw no snakes before navigating back the way I came without any troubles - phew!
Thanks Farmers 5, certainly an interesting adventure for a 1.5/1.5!

We are happily dragging reluctant grown geokids around to pick up a few multis. Geoson happy as long as he gets to do 4WD, which we had alittle fun on this one. Passed a fella living rough out that way with his dogs but all good. Great spot at GZ glad to have done this multi and seen the area. Tftc
Wagga Wagga has so many caches on offer that we can only really scratch the surface while we are staying in the area for a few days. So a selection was made and we headed off to find these ones. Each cache found had its log signed and was then replaced as it had been found.
This was a very interesting drive to GZ, especially after the rain last night. Would have been a lot easier if it was dry. Anyway we found what we wanted and returned safely. Thanks to The Farmers 5 for this multi cache placement.

Well after not being able to do much caching over the Easter weekend because I had other more important stuff on, I thought I would go and try and find more of Wagga today on my day off. This became a cache hunt for the ‘Groundspeak Planetary Pursuit’ and also the ‘GCA GeosportZ 2018’ activities currently occurring. (For those that don’t know, GCA means Geocaching Australia.) These activities, the joy of finding caches, lunch and a bit of shopping led to a great day out. I would like to thank all CO’s for the caches I found, the caches I didn’t find but still enjoyed and for the fun I had today.
After solving GZ months ago in the comfort of my own home, I finally made the trip out to GZ today. After fighting the GPS I finally found how to drive most of the way to the cache and then walk the last 200m. When I arrived at GZ I made a quick find. TFTC and onto the next one.

Travelling home after the Alexandra Mega Event via all our relies whom we haven't seen for months. Stopped in Wagga for the night and chose this cache to be THE one for the day.
After eating out grabbed the required information and headed off to the GZ. Oh no! Not the greatest place to visit at this time of the year in open sandals. Yuk!!
I managed to avoid the thistles, and snakes if there were any, and soon had CIH, log signed and cache returned to its hidey hole. TFTC Farmers 5.

With a relatively free weekend at last a plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to go and collect some unfinished multi and solved puzzles along with some new caches in Wagga Wagga.
It was a rather eventful weekend with a close encounter of the brown slithery kind, not a very happy either as I think we woke it from its winter slumber, friendly cows, good and not so good weather and the opportunity for the inner monkey to show itself again on a few occasions.
After a good nights sleep it was time to search for some more caches.
TFTC The Farmers 5 and thanks for a fun weekend Rapidlywild.

FurfacesLL and myself had decided on a trip away for some much earned stress relieving geocaching. We had planned on doing a day trip across to Wagga Wagga however once we had a look at how many caches we had left to find, changed our plans to an overnighter instead.
We had a large number of multi's to collect that we had picked up GZ information from on prior trips and we had some solved puzzles to collect that we had solved. A nice range of caches across the weekend, did alot of in field maintenance work for CO's by adding new clean/dry/crisp logs to containers in new zip lock bags just to help out.
A great weekend had by us both with a mix of caches, mix of weather and an extremely close brown snake encounter (too close for comfort).
Thanks heaps to FurfacesLL for another awesome weekend away, and thanks The Farmers 5 for the cache placement [^]

A new replacement cache has been installed at GZ. Bigger log book, pencil and swaps within a zip lock bag.
Good luck to future finders.
Good luck to future finders.
We started this cache last night but once we realised where GZ was, and the rutted nature of the track to get there, we decided to leave it until daylight. The container was an easy find at GZ, but is in a sad state. The last floods must have reached this high because the sistema was caked in mud and the logbook absolutely soaked. This definitely needs some maintenance. Thanks Farmers.
TFTC. Nice memorial at WP1. GZ was dry and dusty. A great spit by the river. Glad if a small 4wd to traverse the dips in the road. Not to bad really , new tracks avoid the rough bits, I just chose the wrong alternative. Cache in good order and well protected by a small herd of cows.
Tanks farmers5 for an unexpected little adventure after work. The WP1 was pretty, interesting and appreciated and the grove of plane trees along this road has always made entering Wagga from the East an inviting affair, and all thanks to Mrs Hammond.
I imagined that the second cache would be at the other end of the avenue and was somewhat surprised to drive down a rough road to the river on a wee little explore. I have passed by this cache site a few times with canoes and also with tubes and have wondered how this portion of the bank was reached.
Anyway, cache was found, signed and returned and the cows congratulated on their guard duty.

A new hint and better hidden now , so ready to find. Good luck.

Find 117 + 2 DNF's on an overnight trip to Wagga Wagga. Calculated GZ for this one yesterday and making final find after completing the RGGT power trail. After a nice walk to GZ location, made the find just as my batteries went flat. Thanks Famers 5.

Had some free time this morning, so headed out to pick up a few caches in the area.
After having a little trouble reading the sign, we soon had a new set of co-ords.
We were pleased to be taken to the area at GZ, as it was very pretty and we had not been there before.
Many thanks for placing this cache, the farmers 5, for us and others to find.

A new day and a new set of caches to find on our few days stay in Wagga. A multi to start off our day after breakfast at Maccas! Found the plaque and wrote down the numbers required, did our maths and were soon on our way to GZ. Not sure if we took the scenic route but the track was full of dips and hollows but fortunately not muddy after yesterday's rain. We saw a wonderfully coloured bird on the track in front of us, but of course it was much too swift for a photograph. Loved the old trees and it is obviously a popular spot. SL at 9.43am We did relocate the cache a little higher up. #2451 TFTC the farmers 5
[:(!] Had an hour to spare (lunch) and what better way of filling the hour in was to grab a multi, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the co-ordinates were calculated and entered into my GPS and then I was off to GZ, my TomTom took me to the wrong side of the river and I was running out of time, I only had an hour for lunch so I return to work and headed back to the correct side after work, parked the geocar as closed as possible to GZ without getting the geocar bogged, then I walked to GZ from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was then located and it was in hand in a matter of minutes.

It has been quite some time since we have had a chance to do any on line logging, and after interrogating our GSAK database, we found we had failed to log this cache we had found during our trip to the Oz Mega in Wagga Wagga - there wasn't the bulk log function in GSAK back then! Fortunately we had been logging our finds in GSAK and we have recorded corrected coordinates and noted we had been out in the evening for some night caching. Thank you for having placed the cache the farmers 5

Thought I would take a look at this cache today, never knew anything about the naming of Hammond Ave so thanks for the history bit. Crunched the numbers and moved off to the GZ. Co-ords were spot on with a very quick find TFTC the farmers 5 [^]
Weather change cool but little drizzle day... Great enjoyed drive around of Wagga Wagga caches for a day, easy multi one, nice short drive to GZ, cache was good dry but logbook full damp as diffculty sign in.. Thanks
A nice and quick find at a place I have not been to before. Log book was very wet from the recent rains. TFTC.
A QUICK FIND AFTER A PREVIOUS LOOK WITH THE THOUGHT THAT THE CACHE WAS WASHED AWAY IN THE FLOODS. THANKS FARMERS 5 FOR THE PROMPT ATTENTION TO GETTING THIS ONE BACK UP AND RUNNING. TFTC
Did the calculations & found the likely road / trail to GZ. This tail can swallow a 4WD if you don’t read the track right. Found the likely GZ area & that’s when the fun started. I looked for a while, went back to car to check if I stuffed up maths / nope so another go at GZ & checking places I didn’t want to check as the grass is Very high & the snakes & I aren’t the best of friends. Then something at the right eye angle came into view. No that’s a nice view. No won here today so a very nice & quiet - TFTC / TFTH / SL
THE FARMERS 5 MIGHT HAVE TO CHECK THIS ONE OUT. IT WAS EASY ENOUGH TO WORK OUT THE GZ LOCATION BUT UPON FINALLY GETTING TO GZ IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THE FLOOD WATERS WERE HIGH ENOUGH TO REACH THIS POINT AND WASH AWAY THE CACHE.
This was very frustrating. We thought we definitely had the coords correct (it seemed as though it was a very likely spot from reading previous logs) and then got the geo-mobile as far down the track as we could. We headed to our GZ and a gunshot was heard from across the river. Then another. We searched as much as we could both on the ground and above but couldn't find a thing. After spending too much time here, we wandered back to the car and heard another gunshot. We both considered hitting the deck and what we would do if one of us got shot... luckily that didn't happen haha But we are glad to have found this nice memorial to an obviously nice person. We might try this one again if we are ever back in Wagga.
Wow that was fun! - First I spent considerable time searching the posted coordinates, before realizing it was a multi - and then it was a VERY FUN drive by! Thanks Farmers5.
#159 is found and recorded, Found the location yesterday and was one that I did not record as a DNF because I thought it could still be in one more spot however did not have suitable foot ware to clime to high (Thongs not recommended for caching in).
This one however was found on the ground like so many others it was not until I was looking from above with the sun in the right angle I noticed the cache. There could be a possum playing in the location that could explain the reason for the cache always ending up on the ground.
The experience gained from doing this cache was invaluable it has taught me never go to do only one cache and plan a contingency when you are looking to string caches together for a goal.
This is day number 6 of 30 multi cache a day cache personal challenge. Maybe this could be a cache in itself.
Thanks the farmers 5 for the confirmation email that I had found the right location however the extra hint was not required did however go to the extra lengths and this was what improved the chance to find the final goal. Thanks for the great history and wonderful location to seek and find another of you wonderful caches.

This was a longer cache than I thought, but resulted in a wonderful walk on a warm august morning! Thanks for the cache! Nice to get this one done.
Found with o'cholio. Somebody had to do the driving. Interesting track in, that can be made as challenging as you like. TFTC
We solved this one while the Mega Event was on last year, and couldn't find a trace then. Came back today armed with a 4WD and went for a sloppy (and unexpectedly deep, in places) drive all the way to GZ. Much more fun than walking! I was surprised to find this was still here, having obviously survived the floods. And the contents didn't even stink! TFTC.
Had the solution to this one for some time but because of the floods I have had to wait. Even now we couldn't drive all the way in - Subaru outback. There was a proper 4WD skidding around through the puddles but it wasn't worth the risk. It was a great day for a walk anyway.
The cache is high and dry although there was a lot of condensation in the log packet and it is a bit damp.

#1067 @ 5.45pm. We had commenced this multi the previous weekend but once we realised where GZ was going to take us we decided we where ill prepared in the NinjaGolf. Today in the GeoTriton we headed on to GZ and noticed immediately the amount of water which has been through this area. Amazing after 10yrs of drought (until recently caching had only known drought) all of a sudden we have substantial flooding & you never know what, if anything, is going to meet you. Despite quite a bit of water still lying around and some obviously boggy bits which we avoided we got to GZ. We were astounded to find the cache on the ground close to GZ - cache & contents in surprisingly good nick! We've replaced it a little higher in case the water levels rise yet again. We decided to do this one on our way home at 530pm well geo mum was driving with a camper trailer on the back and was a little worried but got there in the end. Also love the views and lake, we just might come back here for a swimin summer if we are in Wagga again TFTC

TFTC, well we did do some bucking around in Hinklenators Ford Territorty getting bogged at GZ with a lot of push and shove we finally made it out of there with geo grand daughter steering the way while we all pushed, at one stage nearly ending up in the river we surprising had a ball.Totally enjoyed the night , found the cordordinates spot on.
You're right. most people would drive by and never know this tribute was there. Even when you get right up close it's hard to read. With all the needed information I left it a couple of days before returning to GZ to make an adventurous find. Thanks for the effort. don't recomend 2wd unless bone dry.
After reports of a wet cache and log book,a check revealed this was the case. All good now with a new cache , log book , pencil and swaps.Good Luck.
I had heard that this one was in an area that I like to walk the hounds, so at 0815 this morning I decided to tackle it. After reading some of the previous logs I thought I'd better approach this with an open mind. Well got to WP1, got the info and off I went. Hmmm, GPS is pointing innto private property, nah, can't be right. A quick recalc and I realised I had been somewhat dyslexic and got a + instead of a -. With frost on the grass and my coffee gone, I got to GZ and signed a very wet and mouldy log. I didn't have any spares on me sadly to replace it.

We visited WP1 on 31-03-10, the information collected and the maths completed (which is always a worry when we are involved). It bought back some fond memories of a presentation Mrs Ozjeeper gave to the Kandos CWA many years ago. Then it was off to the cache location to see what we could find but a search of the likely hiding places left us empty-handed.
Back at GZ again today, our task was made easier because (1) we had now noted the terrain rating (which is always a help when seeking a cache's hiding spot) and (2) previous finders over the Oz Mega weekend had left some telltale signs for us to follow. A bit of physicalness later by Mr Ozjeeper and the water damaged container was in our hands. The damp logbook was signed and the container returned to it's clever hiding spot. Thanks to The Farmers 5 for the adventure.
p.s. Both the container and the logbook need replacing.

Found by Mary & David at 1650. We visited here earlier in the afternoon and tried a couple of spots that we thought fit the ratings, but with no luck. Met up with La Kedi at another cache later on who confirmed David's worst suspicions about GZ. Back we came. David made the extra effort despite his reservations (and wishing he was about 25 years younger), and successfully retrieved the container. Hardest Terrain 2½ we've done in quite a while. With some relief, our thanks to The Farmers 5.
A multi that was my "closest to home" in Wagga but took the full 4 days to figure.. and get to anyway. What a lovely surprise to see myself where I was and to then do my good deed for the day with Crane2 and the Rockies. One of my best pics too. Clear skies from TeamAstro.
Finally home from Oz Mega and time to log. Whew! Now that was harder to retrieve than I expected. Glad I was with La Kedi who did all the hard work. TFTC
WP1? No problem. Getting to GZ? Slightly harder. Getting the cache? WOW! I was really glad I had The Marble's helping hand to assist me in retrieving this cache, certainly one of the hardest 2.5s I've done A certain glow of satisfaction after retrieving it, though. And many thanks to AusTrackers who confirmed the location for me before I made the effort. TFTC! ='.'=
I had to do my "namesake" cache while here. Drove to within 20m of cache, but finding it proved to be a little more difficult...a phone was used.
Nice easy multi but took a while to work out the easiest way to GZ. Crafty hide but didn't take too long to locate T4TC.
I had hoped to find this cache on our last day in Wagga, but GZ proved to be beyond my capabilities (& Urch's).
I hadn’t planned on doing Multis this weekend, but this one looked like an easy enough one to complete. We finished at a lovely spot and caught up with Team Astro at the final. Astro, being such a gentleman, stayed in position and allowed us to log at the same time. Cache #675.
Rocky Glen Grommets found this one with crane2 on a Easter Monday afternoon of caching. Thanks for this multi.
Apologies for the late log. Found during the Wagga Mega Event. Our ninth of a few whilst up here for the weekend. We drove past this the day before and thought there has to be a cache involving this spot so we grabbed a picture. Sure enough, back at the motel which was just up the road we confirmed what we had to do and came up with the final coordinates. GeoJnr and I headed of whilst the girls put their feet up in the motel and enjoyed the drive to GZ. Also enjoyed the process required whilst extracting the cache. Nice location. TFTC. Cheers.
You really enjoy this cache collecting when someone puts in something a bit more of a challenge for its grade.tftc
I had gathered the necessary information from WP1 the day before, but had been headed in a different direction and so left it for today. A simple find, making for a nice change after our previous caching experience. We had GZ to ourselves for the short time it took to locate the cache, something that wasn't always possible over the Oz Mega Weekend; as we were leaving we spotted likely cachers heading our way, hope our antics at GZ didn't make it too easy for them! Thanks for the cache The Farmers 5

Well we thought we where in the right place when Sol piped up yeah its around here somewhere.. wrong.. so had to do it the hard way and collect all the clues which was fortunate as we ended up at near the GZ looking for some other GCA caches and met another Sydney Cache around GZ.. also this is where I lost my sunnys too we initally thought it was at GZ but it turned out I left them at the posted coords, so was returning that way and found them lying right next to the plaque phew dodged that one again..
2193 - Found during the Oz Mega Event...
Im sure I started this one on my last trip in Sept 08 - anyway with a group of cachers we calculated GZ and made the find - thanks all !!

Mega 10. After a nearby GCA cache we found ourselves near the GZ for this one and went in for the kill. Loved the hide. Had to visit twice to sort out a sunglasses problem. Thanks.

At WP1 we found the monument and used the date to establish the co-ordinates for GZ.
Getting to GZ proved to be more of an adventure than we had expected but well worth the effort.
A bit of monkey business at the cache site soon had it in hand.
Great views of the river.
T4TC.

This one was done with a group of ACT'ers who were in town for the Oz Mega Event. It's been an awesome weekend doing all these caches and meeting so many lovely people, whilst finding out about the history of the town. It would have been tricky finding my way to GZ without the help of the great cachers we were with. TFTC and for introducing us to more great history of your town.
No problems with the first waypoint - took a few minutes searchingfor the cache with no success so put a little thought into it and found shortly after. TFTH
A nice little find during the Oz Mega event with Micaparamedic and Bogonghazy. TNLN TFTC Farmers 5

While driving around the area for the mega event we stopped by this one, after the info was collected and crossed back accross the road a rig pulled up behind us and thinking it was another cacher it was soon discovered he was no and was after directions to a spot unknown to us.
