Whilst in the vicinity of this archived cache, I took the short detour from the aptly named North Road to visit this location. I was hopeful that this cache would still be around, but after a 5-10 min search in and amongst the bushes, there was plenty of litter about like cans, bottles, golf balls, and everything else, but an archived cache. Perhaps the cache is still here, but this search reached its risk-value equation limit. Nevertheless, it is an awesome spot with its views though, and worthy of a future cache placement! Thanks anyway 1uzferunner for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Today, the plan was for a walk in Denham Scenic Reserve (Denham Falls, Lip Falls) to host a [Gins Lips Saunter and Swim](https://coord.info/GCAH49F) event at the bottom of the creek/gorge. Despite having visited this area only 1.5 months ago, I had a couple of geocaches that I had trouble finding, and it was a lovely area to visit nevertheless. Despite concerning weather forecasts of rain, it could not have been any better, with dry conditions and the heat starting to set in by the time we finished our hike.It was then a slow and long way home meandering past towns and areas finding geocaches in less-visited areas. Highlights included Lower Beechmont Conservation Area (Freeman's Lookout and the lower elevation area adjacent to Clagiraba Road), Mount Tamborine, and Oxenford. It was interesting to see the widespread tree debris in the vicinity from the "mini-cyclone" / strong winds that impacted the Gold Coast from two weeks ago, and largely cleaned up.

Found by a muggle friend. Seems to be in a different location now. Contact me for info. It’s not a 1L container.

Down this way for an event and this one came up in Barb's archived list.

Terrains a little lower than what I'm chasing, but what the heck, I just got the one in the tree, so it should even itself out.

Nice quick find. Log signed, cache replaced.

While at the event a group of us headed off to search for this nearby cache. It was quickly located and, although it has been archived, the container and contents are in very good condition.

I travelled down from the North side of Brisbane today with IolantheK to attend the "Hinterland Round up #5 Mum's Day Out". We had several caches planned for the surrounding areas. This archived cache was right near the event so it was great to be able to log another find. TFTC

Zacgyver and I are attending the Hinterland Round-up event to day and of course we got a few extra caches in the area.

This one is right near the event, and I have had a DNF here before, so when others went to grab it I tagged along. It was a quick find right where I expected it to be. TFTC, 1uzferunner.

My caching friends had alerted me to this cache last year when we were doing the 25DT but we could not stop to find it as we were on a schedule with time constraints.
As it was my birthday today, what a great way to celebrate it on my own than to grab my favourite kind of cache being an archived one.
It was super windy today but what a view.
Lovely park.

Before and after the event at Lower Beechmont today, a group of us cached around Maudsland and surrounds. A great time was had by all. A nice easy find.

I had a DNF on this one way back in 2013. Today I did not even need the GPSr to get to GZ. Found in the company of several cachers attending the nearby event. Smile The jungle has had a serious haircut recently making it easier to get to GZ. [^]

Out around Maudsland and Lower Beechmont area caching with a group of fellow cachers. A overcast day, however this did not stop us caching. At a Event in the same park and decided to find this cache. Found.

12-Jun-16
Attending the nearby hinterland event today and heard that a container might just be in place for this one. Having arrived early I had some time to wander over and take a little look, sure enough a container was in place and added my name to the log seeing it had not been found since 2014.

One or more of the following has occurred:

No response from the cache owner.
No cache to find or log to sign.
It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.

As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future, just contact a reviewer (by email), and assuming it still meets the current

guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.

Should you replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

06-Dec-14
On the run down to a milestone and found ourselves in the area passing by. A Green Box on the side (almost) of the road and we pulled in. My driver has been here a long time ago, so it was left to me to search in the wet. After no luck for a while others in the convoy started pointing where it had been when they'd found it - also some time ago - and I had almost given up when a slightly more thorough search a bit further around turned up a rather standard container - cheeky sod hiding from me that well.[:o)] I blame the wet.

All is good with this one, I could see the previous logs nearly six months old, safely in there. The contents are in fine condition. I would say perhaps 3m off in coordinates, but a decent search should find it OK.

Thanks for placing this cache, taxisvw but adopted by 1uzferunner. Found in good condition.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.

I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.

For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

I was out with Captain Terror for a lovely afternoon on a beautiful winter day. It was sunny, but cold in the wind. With jackets on we jumped out of the car to have a look at the view that the Captain promised me. It really was quite breathtaking and he was able to list most of the mountains, especially the ones he has been up.

We started looking for the cache but as obvious with the previous logs it is missing. The Captain had already found the cache and remembered where it was but it looks like there have been a few teenage muggles around and the area has been cleared a bit. We replaced the container with one of our own and the Captain has uploaded a little hint to where it is. Thanks for the cache 1uzferunner.

30-Jun-14
I was sailing past this one this afternoon with Net88 and decided I'd show her the views and the geocache - it is such a lovely spot for quick and easy views.

The geocache, as has been reported was definitely gone. I remembered where it had been hidden so we decided to replace it for the cache owner. Photos attached as a little bit of a hint to where I hid it as the area has changed slightly since my last visit here. I have no issue if the CO decides to place his own container and remove this temporary job in future. Otherwise, all good to be found once more Smile

24-Feb-14
The CO needs to check this one after a string of DNFs.

23-Feb-14
Heading home with Brother Colin and Crookedpete after a big hike in Binna Burra with monkeymaker, and we decided to call by and give this cache a go, as all three of us have been here before with no find. We searched the area pretty thoroughly, but still no find, so we made a PAF to monkeymaker as he was the last finder for exact directions. Still no find Sad This one needs to be checked by the CO.

23-Feb-14
The "only easy drive by's" rule that would normally apply on the drive home after a long walk in the hills (that would be the green bumps that you see over yonder from this cache) was ignored this afternoon. All three of us (Iolanthek, Brother Colin and myself) had previously DNF'd this one and wanted to clear it off our maps.

After all of us searched in the scratchy stuff for a while, then we resorted to calling the last finder, monkey maker, who had just done the hike with us. No luck, despite narrowing down the search area considerably.

This places deserves a cache, so I hope the CO checks on it.

Last stop on an early morning run up around Beechmont. Wow what an awesome view from up here and despite the rain earlier it was a nice blue sky while at GZ. I soon found the geotrack but I think more then geocachers come here. I soon found what was left of the cache. The container was gone but the contents was everywhere. I didn't have a replacement so I put it all in a ziplock and hid.

16-Aug-13
With Geohubby at work it was up to me to head out for the caches today. 6 out of 6 Woo Hoo! That's good for me! Lol. This one took me sooo long. I read the logs and there were so many breaks in the bushes I was trying here and there and everywhere. There was an awful lot of rubbish surrounding the tank so I cleaned up everything in two big bags in the hope I would come across the cache. Still no luck I decided to try one more time in the spot I felt was being referred to and bingo there it was. Happily dragged it out and went up to the picnic table to sign the log, swap some stash and drop in a TB.
Thanks for bringing me to this awesome spot and having a cache here for me to find. Wink

Found this one after a 6 hour hike through the Gold Coast Hinterland. I new there would be a cache here, so after our hike I jumped on the phone, read the clues and picked up the prize. What a great view it is from up here!!!

No luck here. We had had a big day out and were a tad tired. Did several laps trying to narrow down GZ. IolantheK searched a few spots. I dived in closer. Ouch, spikey. Oh no! A tick. A very ouchy tick. That was it. I was out of there. Despite the fact that we could not see 20 feet and it was almost dark, IolantheK was almost treated to a spectacular full moon. Yip, guess where my tick was latched ;-/

I was passing on my way to collect find number #500 up at Bina Burra. I was still a few short of the number needed to start my epic hike, so hoping for a nice quick find, I pulled up just on dawn.

The view with the sun rising over the mountains was fanastic

Running short of time, so I gave myself only 10 minutes searching to find the cache. It certainly is a bit of a mess in the garden. Ddn't find the cache today in the time available so I moved on. Thanks for bring me to this nice park. It was a very pleasant sunrise.

# 472 Todays Caching was completely focused on collecting the two XoE caches down this way. I down loaded the pod casts and collected the required info but was concerned that they were gone due to the lack of finds over recent time. Contacted Herbz who confirmed my co-ords and assured me that they would still be there. I did the Upper Coomera Road ones the other night, so started with this side on my way down.

After the last cache, a flat phone and a grumbling belly got the better of me and I paid off the rest of the caches looking for food. I got an awesome steak burger nearby, and refilled with water after this mornings activities. Considered going back to collect the caches I skipped but decided to head home, until I noticed this one then figured I could grab at least one more.

Quick and easy find in a nice park. Awesome views.

Visiting the park just up the road from sister "Four Triki Seekers" for a mother's day picnic with our geo-mum and family. Perhaps something strange is going on in this cache?! It was found in the correct location, but with only one log, not the one of the previous finders. There is a heap of rubbish in the general area. It is a lovely park for a picnic and beautiful views today. TFTC

I think someone might be playing silly buggers with this cache as there was no-one in the log before us and it had a serious case of cache creep. As I read the details geo-hubby found it on the right of the break in bushes not the left but has put it back on the left side. Hope that is okay.

Lovely view which was being utilised by a lovely young couple who were having their wedding photos with that gorgeous background.

I was up this way today so I placed a new container with log, stash note and a few swaps in a well hidden place very close to the original site. The old site has become a bit of a rubbish dump so I cleaned up some of the trash but a few CITO visits would help here. If you want to find the cache turn left instead of right when you get to the break in the bushes at the tank and look under a piece of wood up placed against the tank and under grass plants. Hide it again so no one muggles it this time. No one around today to see me painting and placing the new container.Cool
