I don't do the rounds very often here anymore; just not as enjoyable without my geodog
so archiving to make way for other cachers/caches... hopefully there will be a new footbridge nearby soon

daaaaahh, what a pain alright.. missing. I think council may have had some pruning done along with the mangrove removals. Will have a re-think on repalce vs archival...
Well, we solved this ages ago .... but lost our notes so had to re-solve it today. Once we'd remembered how to solve the code it was a nice easy find. TFTC Salty.
This had us scratching our heads for a while. Easy find once we figure out the clues. Cheers
Managed to pick up this neat wee puzzle today. Had a lovely walk while in the area as such a beauti morning. Thankyou Salty. was fun.
Solved this one at home before heading up to Whangarei for a holiday. Thanks for an enjoyable puzzle. No problems with finding the cache either which resulted in a super quick find. The rain had eased off enough for me to head out and find this cache. TFTC!

Relieved that we were able to pick this one up as the last time we were here resulted in a DNF due to a muggled/missing cache, found this one pretty much straight away, thanks for an enjoyable puzzle and cache hunt.
There was a car that pulled up in the car park after we had found this one that stopped, all 4 occupants got out, headed in a mad dash to the nearby feature, and then piled back into their car and took off..... surely they must have been geocachers!

Only one of two puzzles we were able to pick up while in town for a short time. The weather didn't play fair and we were limited in places we could go. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.
Out with tikitour after 5 weeks away - time to catch up on some new local caches!! TFTC
Thank goodness tikitour had done all the hard work for this one

Went thru all steps. When we got to original GZ it took us some time to reread and remember the offset but hanging around didn't help us today!
Puzzle took longer than expected due to lack of knowledge. Once figured, finding GZ was a breeze =]
Very happy to find this after solving puzzle in Auckland and persuading Mr P we needed a mini holiday. t4tc
An enjoyable and fairly straightforward puzzle, and even with the amended final location, a quick easy find, although the area was humming with bees. TFTC
some time to kill while waiting for windscreen repair... so checked on cache; still there!
We played your game and came up trumps with numbers that agreed with your checksums. Made the find this morning before heading back to Auckland for an event. Great puzzle T4TC.
Quick find on a great day, had worked this one out at home, with affirmation from Riser5, ground still very soggy on way to cache,
Cache still very much intact,T4TC

After having a big search a while ago without success, glad to find it today. Great location. Thanks for the puzzle (and help!!).

We had a look for this one on our last trip to Whangarei between Christmas and New Year, but no luck. Now we see why. Tried the new bearing today, and made a quick find. Thanks for the fun puzzle.

Found on Lunch break after looking in the wrong place for an hour this morning. Don't be fooled by google maps and look for the co-ordinates. Nice caching place. FTF New Location.

** I have not had time to re-figure the puzzle yet, but a replacement cache has been placed on a magnetic heading of 60 degrees, 20 paces from original GZ. (hanging, small sistema, room for geocoins)**
Checked on this quite recently so thought would be Ok... but sure enough it is gone and the gaps filled in!
Will replace ASAP

Absolutely sure we were in the right place but could not find cache. Very very frustrating as we have been working on this one for months! Perhaps been muggled??
Enjoyed working out the puzzle. Rainy miserable day when we went to the cache so not many people about to worry about but it was sitting out in the open, bold as brass! Must have been muggled but no damage or missing items, we hid it again when we left. TFTC
No pain solving this one as we did all the hard work at home before arriving at Whangarei. Arrived early on a Sunday morning, so no one in sight. It was a bit overcast but calm. Nice cache in a neat hidey hole. Swapped GCs. Thanks SaltyCacheNutZ for the puzzle and the cache!
Last find of the day, err, night. Hopped out after dinner as I had worked this out earlier and didn't want to leave without making the find. Good wee puzzle and hidey hole.

There are probably a few like myself in the Town Basin who have been to Fatu Hiva by boat, but it's a hard beat back from here! Perhaps some intrepid traveling cacher can help it get closer to its goal of Fatu Hiva.

I was walking past and thought I'd have another peep, just as I did a few days ago... and today the cache was back in place! There was a signature (muggle I assume) that said " who needs a GPS to find this place? haha!
Thank You! could not quite make out the name...
Can this cache be un-archived?

The cache has gone missing
It was a nice little container, flotsam found on a beach whilst geocaching... so don't have a replacement; should probably find a better/new hiding place and will have to re-figure the coords.

Found this with Pooke late at night. Went back 2 days later with pen to sign the log...were my eyes deceiving me...cache gone! A well done cache so hope it is up and running soon.
