Decided to tackle as much as we can of the coastline between Sunshine Beach and Perigian Beach.

The GZ has been destroyed and there is no 'base of tree' as stated as the hint. Please fix ASAP. Shame as it was a nice walk up.

GZ has been mulched. The narrow trail is now about 20 wide. I'll change this log to a dnf if proved otherwise.

The view is amazing and the ride by kayak was fun as well. I never have seen such a shallow lake!
The container is in deed leaking a lot but the logbook was just damp in the bag. I spend some time drying it.

16-Aug-15
Awesome view
Be careful when replacing the lid I have a feeling that one of the snap lock edges got caught under the lip where the rubber seals but not too much water got in and the log book was dry so all ok darn forgot to bring the pencil

It is definitely a nice view from GZ.
The soft sand track makes the walking tough going.

I think the trick with this cache is to find the easiest track to begin with.

Cache is now in good order.

TFTC unfortunately cache was full of water. Have emptied it out and replaced log but not sure how long it will last! Have also moved it about 30cm directly above original location as ground is saturated.

It's a lovely walk through the Wallum, we were a bit worried it might have been on the burnt side of the track! Found it easily though!

I was out and about for work today when I thought that a little break might be due...

I pondered, 'Where could I take a break?'... After checking the map I remembered that this cache was just sitting here waiting for me. I have noticed it on my map many a times though never really had the chance to go and grab it. Well, that chance had just arrived.

With the rain just holding off, I made a quick 600mtr walk to GZ. It was not long before I made the find after a little poking around at GZ. I am sorry to say, the cache is in quite a bad state. It appears that the seal is gone and letting water in. I did a quick dry out but was not really planing to cache today so I did not have my kit.

The view from GZ is just something cool. I took a moment to just stand back and admire it before the rains came back and forced me to make a run for the car.

I have contacted the CO about the condition.

Thanks for another great cache d.d.dudes!

Decided to take some of the local geocaches and this was the first for the day, found a convenient car park and strode out up they track. What a delightful sight at GZ had no idea what was behind this scrub.
Was amazed to find System three clip container sitting perfectly level, but half full of water, so much for waterproof/airtight containers. Checked the seal and found that it was hard as nails so I guess that they must perish in time.
Now this cache will be my 1,435th cache so I will celebrate by offering up some mind numbing trivia.

In the year 1435 Eric of Pomerania is reinstated as king of Sweden, however only briefly, since he is once again deposed in January the following year.

The Kingdom of Naples passes to Aragon under René of Anjou.
However the King of Aragon managed to persuade the Duke of Milan to his side and against Rene d'Anjou, and was set at liberty with all other prisoners. The Genoese were so utterly exasperated by the Dukes decision that they started to rebel against him, drove out the Milanese garrison and overthrew his rule on the 27th of December, 1435.

So there we go. Thanks for the cache

I decided that instead of the pool, this afternoon would be for clearing out a few caches. With four caches found, I decided to stop off for this cache on my way back to Noosa. It was difficult to decide where to start but I had noticed a track into the scrub that started about opposite the cache...so I decided to give it a try.

With over 500 metres to the cache, there was no question of going bush...following the track was the only option. The problem was that it didn't really head in the required direction...but off I went anyway hoping it would turn out OK. At first it turned back towards the cache a little but then it turned away again. It kept this up for a while and I was beginning to think that I was wasting my time...still, I decided to keep on going for a little longer to the top of the next rise...and I am glad I did.

When I topped the rise I came to a junction and a track heading back towards the cache...and I still had a about 500 metres to go. Pressing on, I eventually came to GZ...now to find the cache. This proved to be trickier than I expected, especially for a cache that was last found only a week ago...but with a little perseverance I succeeded. After signing the log, it was time for the long walk back to my car.

Thanks D.D.Dukes for this cache.

Slowly cleaning up those little green boxes in the area. A nice walk to this one today. The cache was dry, but has been wet in the past. It could really use a new log. I added my name to the least wet scrap of paper Smile

After a longish walk along sandy tracks which were hard on the legs, we arrived at GZ.
Searched for a short while and soon had the cache in hand.
The views to distant mountains and over Lake Weyba were breathtaking.

Last year I tried this one but couldn't find the best entrance for the walk.
After driving around lately ,discovered better track so was able to find and SL.
Once there the view is quiet superb.
I also tried to dry the log as it had a lot of water in it.

A pleasant walk along the track leads to this cache with a great view across to the west.
Unfortunately, the cache is completely water-logged and needs urgent TLC from the owner. We did our best to dry it out, and we put a new log sheet in and a new dry bag, and repositioned the cache on higher ground on the other side of the tree.
We then followed the track around to make a loop of the walk. A very pleasant experience!

This one clearly too challenging for us Sad

Well, we certainly took the long way to this one but it was a great walk anyway Big Grin. The young fella (2.7 yo) and i made the trek while Janine stayed at the start of the walk and fed the baby.
We began our journey and i soon realised that we probably could have found a closer place to park Surprised. I could see where we needed to be, but the track just wasn't going that way .. never mind, i knew we'd end up in the right place Smile.
Dylan did well in the heat and i only had to piggy-back him for a few minutes towards to top. We passed a group of elderly gents taking their time up the hill and stopping to look at anything that moved Wink, before we finally made it to GZ Razz.
The treasure was found quickly and had a very small amount of water inside, which i dried out as best i could. The new log sheet in it's little baggy was dry though and i added my name to it. We continued down the track where i discovered it would have been the one take Red Face. I rang Janine to pick us up as she was well and truly done with her mission Wink.
Its a shame we never got our finger out and grabbed the others in this series before they were archived Sad. TNLN. Thanks d.d.dudes

Great walk in when you find the right access. Easy find thought the GPS couldn’t decide which tree. Cache was full of water, the old log is mush and the newer one is wet. Dumped the old log and left a piece of note paper in its own bag as a temporary log. Dried the cache out as best I could. As I was writing up my notes a muggle walked past on the path not 5m away and didn’t notice me. I must have my cloak of invisibility working again.

Holy frijoles. Getting to this one was the big mission. The sun was really beating down (sposed to be occasional showers, mr weather man!) and I was jumping from shadey spot to shadey spot. Soon I ran out of shadey spots as I walked up the hill Sad I am so glad I bought my good hat and long pants on. The arms got a bit red - but one gets that. I finally got to GZ and plonked myself down firmly under the tree to get out to the heat. Needless to the say, the cache was found in no time at all. It unfortuantely is very wet as well. Sorry lads - all out of notebooks. I tried to dry everything as much as possible. I signed the small pieced of paper someone put in there and put everything back into the container. I cleaned the seal on the container too - hopefully it will be a bit drier for the next finder. The views of the lake from up here are superb. Getting back to the car was a hard task in the sun - but eventually go there with pulse intact. TFTC d.d.dudes Smile

What a wonderful series of caches. Glad I did them in order. This final cache has some of the most wonderful views I have discovered whilst caching. Thanks for bringing me here.

What a great walk. Great views from up here. Cache was very wet, but a new plastic snap lock bag and paper log was recently added. Thanks for a great walk.

What a wonderful walk. August is the perfect time because the wildflowers are blooming and the birds are very active. I saw the beautiful irridesent blue Superb fairy-wrens, countless Noisy Friarbirds, Wattlebirds, White-cheeked Honeyeaters, Figbirds, Brown Honeyeaters and Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos. If I was a tourist this would be high on my must do list. I was enjoying it so much that I continued on past the cache and took the first track on the right which brought me back towards the car (parked in front of Plantman_Geocache #18) in a nice big loop with excellent views. Not sure why but this cache container was full of water and all the contents are ruined. The log book is a wet pulp. I signed a piece of paper and left it in a plastic bag. Thanks for bringing me here.

I took lots of bird photos.TFTC

After the best part of a week holidaying at Sunrise Beach I managed to find some time for an extended walk and a chance to log a few caches - albeit after turning down an offer to go clothes shopping with Miss CF. I set off along the obvious track from the main road and was soon enjoying the National Park to myself - not too many signs of others around here. The first of the afternoon's caches then appeared on the GPSr and shortly after the container was to hand. The log book is still a bit damp but is usable. I replaced the cache, enjoyed the views and then continued on my way. TFTC.

bit of a hunt to find this one: three likely trees and the gadget kept changing it's mind which was GZ
still a bit damp so dried it out some more and left a new pencil

lovely views in the late afternoon: highly recommended walk

Log book is very wet. Didn't have time to air out and dry. I'd suggest a new book, snap-lock bag, and container. Had an awesome time hiking around an area I'd never thought of visiting before. TFTC's.

Found with Snifferdoggs. Stuffed up a little with this one... I put the wrong coordinates into my GPS Red Face. Quickly corrected and found the cache. Nice hide. TFTC.

This one was wet but well worth the walk for the view and the sunset-dried out as best we could, put log into new bag and separated from swaps-maybe next visitor during the day could give it an airing.!!
