Cache is alive again and worth the drive. Easy dirt road to navigate from either Brookton Hwy or come from the Mundaring Dam end.
Took a little drive with the Co to check on this cache. Cache is in perfect working order, I hope it can be resurrected in the near future, its a beautiful spot.

Making our way to this cache from Mallmalling #2, we made our way up the rock and after a short search we made the find. Thanks Mischief's crew.
The cache is in superb condition and replaced as found.

We were meeting our son near here who was walking along the Bibbulmun from Kalamunda. We arrived early so before lunch we headed over here and climbed the rock and find the cache. It didn't take too long to locate but I did need to make 2 circuits of the rock before I spotted it.

Lived up to the name, lots of deposits around but only crossed tracks with two pairs of roos on the drive in... then two emus on the drive out. Nearly have up the search then found it in the obvious spot best viewed from below.

I had done my research and marked out all the roads on a map printout before coming out here, so I didn't have any trouble finding the very large rock. But finding the cache was another matter. Although the coords were spot on, I was looking from all the wrong angles, and kept widening my search and then coming back to the 0m GZ spot, and eventually I found the ammo tin! I was a bit concerned as it looked like there had been a fire through here not too long ago, and a nearby tree was very charcoaled, but I need not have worried, as the cache was in a good spot, safe from fire.
Thanks for the cache Mischief's Crew, we enjoyed the drive out here!

Finally found our final one for the day, with Geokids having a play on the rocks. Seen many skippy's jumping around which the kids enjoyed. Found the roads a little tricky to get here and back with Geonan was sure we were lost to never be found again. Had a lot of fun. Swapped Harry Potter Pencil Case for Carabean Clip Key Ring. Signed Log Thanks for the Chase Mischief's Crew & 3 Blind Eyes
Out with my Brother in Law today, we are doing small parts of the Bib Track most weekends, getting ready to do a much bigger segment later in the year. Today, a short stint from Mt Dale car park to the Mt Dale hut and back, the diff this time was that he had his full backpack on.
Anyway...this was the 3rd of 3 in the area today, and eventually an easy find, i say eventually because initially we found ourselves on what turned out to be the wrong dirt road about 240 metres south of GZ. We set out through a fledgling pine plantation then hit bush that we just couldnt get through only 45 metres from GZ, back to the car scratching our heads. Eventually drove around a bit (In the Lancer) and found another dirt road which made this virtually a drive by!
As i said, an easy find after the short climb up.
Rescued The Robots TB who has been a POW here for too long, will arrange a new billet for him soon.
TNLN else and reallyt enjoyed our time in the area today.

With our travel bug being dropped off here nearly three months ago, and no visits since, we took it upon ourselves to organise a Good Friday rescue mission.
Ashendon Rd (off Brookton Hwy) and Dale Rd were both fairly easy gravel tracks for normal 2WD vehicles. Then it got tricky - lack of signage and our discovery of two locked boom gates led us to tracks definitely not designed for our car.
160km and three hours later, we're back home without our beloved Commander Plastico. If anyone gets near this cache, we'd be grateful if you rescued him. Thanks for the cache, Mischief's Crew & 3BlindEyes - shame we couldn't get to it.

Being in the vicinity and with 'Roo' in the name, I had to have a look for this cache. The search took me about 10 minutes (I was pretty tired and not thinking all that well) in the sun, but the cache was eventually found and swaps were made. T: Geo badge, L: Screwdriver set and TB, SL. Thanks to Mischief's Crew and ThreeBlindEyes for the cache
Happened to be in the area so I couldn't resist popping in to find this easy cache. Ammo tin writing stood out a mile away so I've replaced the tin with the bottom facing out. TNLN. TFTH.
Found this cache to be only 520 metres from my road closure point. So I went to find this cache during the break in the action.I was a road closure official for the Safari Rally.

Went out with Mischief's Crew today for some cache hiding. We found a very nice area with a great rock to climb, so we walked around for a while searching for a good location, and soon found a great little spot to hide an ammo can. I discovered 'Amber's Phantom Logger' Geocoin at the cache while I was here.
