Stopped in here not too long ago as someone gave me these coords but it took me this long to find the GC listing! Mr Muggle spotted a likely suspect and yes there was a crushed container with some black looking paper mush inside. As the whole place looks like a toilet and its really not a great conatiner anymore I popped it into the rubbish bin. Hate doing that to archived ones but this needed it Im afraid!
Sighted in the hands of trayc.g! They wouldnt let me help with this one as they thought I might need a shot of antibiotics after..yuk!
No response from owner. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 21 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
I looked and i looked and i looked and didnt find this cache unfortunatley GZ has been used as a poo stop, very smelly and unpleasant. a fail on our trip to New Plymouth from Hamilton.
Could not find this one, then checked logs and see its not been found for a while.
Did not find after lots of searching..presume it was supposed to be under the concrete block?? Nothing there to be found and the obvious place was empty, thanks anyway
The obvious hiding place under the concrete block showed no sign of a cache and despite searches .5 of a metre from the geodetic mark nothing was found.
Thought we'd have a great chance to spot this but alas no cache today! Even in rain, we thought we gave it a good look over.
A previous traveller had lost his lunch/dinner/breakfast quite near to where we needed to hunt .... yeeew ... we left this one.
Quick stop on way home as had to leave this on way down due to Tourists having lunch. Took Geo coin - cheers Jumboz
Found the cache on the rainy day. Took some TB and left the GC as well. Thanks and greetings from Latvia!
Found easily on our way from Mt. Taranaki to our motel in MoKau after a lovely day walking through "the goblin forest". Left TB; took nothing.
I almost wanted to give up but then spotted it and thought why not like that the first time. TFTC.
11.25am. Heading to New Plymouth for the rhododendron festival. Had rained earlier in the day but by the time we reached this delightful viewpoint the sun was out and we were heading into a beautiful Taranaki day!! Had no difficulty with the find. Cache was wet inside as per previous logs. Changed the plastic bag and did a bit of drying. Added a US paperclip. TNSL.

Easy find on a beautiful day. Great views. Cache was full of water and plastic bag is now quite yukky. Log was ok in its bag however. Thanks very much.
Found by edmil and maddie. This was our first cache for the day. We had just left New Plymouth and were on our way to visit the Waitomo caves and then on to Hamilton for a couple of nights. We stopped off at this great location and took a few photos before heading off in search of the cache. The area was a bit littered and it looks as though someone had needed the loo badly. But all was well with the cache, maddie located it and while it was full of water the log was still usable. There were no coins in cache so our Micro Compass Rose Geocoin dropped in for a visit. Thanks for the cache its a great spot despite the litter. I also recorded the trig details as I collect these locations.
Found on my way home to Hamilton after being in New Plymouth for a training course

On a day trip down to New Plymouth, so just enough time to stop on the way and find a couple of caches.

Lovely spot for a much needed coffee, clue was very helpful. Didn't have a coin so just signed book.
Found around lunchtime, but did not picnic. Traditional hide, traditional find... Great explanation of the area - thanks - and this is what makes geocaching so enjoyable - it is not 'just another picnic stop' (most of which I ignore anyway). Found with my brother. Cheers, GC.

Thanks for the interesting history about this beautiful location. Well worth to stop and view, let alone finding the cunningly placed cache. With GenCuster still. HGK

Thanks Trevor for another cache, it was in fact still there, we were a bit sceptical with the 2 DNF's before us, but found it almost straight away.

They need flashing lights and sirens for me to find them. This one had neither. Thanks for the stop and look anyway.
What a cool place. Had to wait for a lady to finish brushing her teeth before we could go hunting! TFTC
First for the year. What a lovely place Tongaporutu is and it is worth the time to walk out to the Three Sisters at low tide.

Enjoyed two beautiful days at this wonderful place, with free entertainment on new years by the locals, got the cache early in hope this would set the tone for the day. In silver fern pin, out kiwi pin.
Quick find on way down to New Plymouth. The pohutukawas along the roadside are beautiful. Left Kiwibadge.
The first in a list of three caches to get on the way from New Plymouth. Quick find, but a bit stinky aroundabouts - not sure if it was uncollected rubbish or something dead and not buried. TFTC.
Found a soggy cache on way home, great views spoilt by the dumping's of a cattle truck close to cache. Left a fridge magnet TN SL TFTC
Was that a benchmark there too? Not a long stop as we were enroute to NP, but good to stretch the legs.
Almost to our New Plymouth destination, so BookwormMum, Kayaknkiwi, Indiana Jill and I did not stop for long. The area is nice, but it seems to be used as a public toilet in places. Made the find quickly then headed on our way. TFTC!
On our way to Taranaki. Road trip for the team. Had a good look around then SB made the grab. Hmm is this it...!! Great. Fantastic views!! Thanks for the adventure. TFTC!
On a trip with Indiana Jill, Seattle’s Best and Kayaknkiwi – on our way to New Plymouth to see the festival of lights and do some caching! Starting to get a bit behind time, so only stopped for the cache, rather than the scenery - maybe another time. Just about mistook cache for someone's lunch, glad to find it was what we were looking for. TFTC.
On a trip to New Plymouth for Xmas. A lovely outlook. Photos to follow. SL. TNLN. TFTC.

On way to Fleetwood Mac concert, had to wait for muggle to change jeans in bushes before the search could start.
had a little bit of trouble here as i loaded the co-ords onto my gpsr using the computer and it was trying to send me to another spot off the road. I happened to pull over in the stop area on the side of the road and manually enter the co-ords on the print out and it was right next to where I stopped! once we had the right directions was an easy find! thanks
Nice quick find, and caught a peek of a view through the bushes. Cheers Gav [4634]
Nice easy stop - heavy rain so thankful for that. Log was totally soaked and had-it. I left a new logbook in a new good plastic bag. SL TFTC
Quick drive by on way home at night. Still very wet. Sorry we didn't have anything to replace it with... and no sun to dry it out in at that time of night! TFTC
Quick find, nice view. Cache in poor condition - wet through. Log book is a sodden mess. Managed to scratch a log onto ADV's log addition. Urgent maintenance required, and it seems has been since April or before. Perhaps the 'event' cachers that placed the cache might consider adopting it out to another local cacher if they are not interested in maintaining it. Took the TB to move along. TFTC
easy find, just like the others have said logbook is wet, although our spacepen did manage a log ok. TFTC

Stopped on a trip home from Stratford. Cache was partly flooded .. needs urgent attention as log is to soggy to use. Great spot to stop an enjoy view.
Soggy little cache with wet log book. Great views even in the rain. Tide was right this time for a walk to 3 sisters but not in this rain. Next time
It was a horrible day but a quick easy find. Didn't get to admire the beautiful scenery too much rain and fog.

Found the cache once I managed to get the full hint. It was very damp and the cache was writeable but just. Tried to dry things out but the log will take longer. Nice view too. Thanks.
Quick find before lunch at the bach. Log book is damp. The container is not really suitable for outside as it is not watertight like the sistema type. Just managed to sign log. NINO. TFTC
Passing by on our drive from New Plymouth to Raglan.
Before stopping at the side of the road and looking for the cache itself, we went along the coastline to find the Three Sisters (we took turns, because we didn't want to leave our holiday luggage unattended in the car), What an amazing place this is. It was incredible standing in the water, barefoot, the waves crashing against us, playing their games, the ocean pretending to be a sleepy kitten, just to scratch you a bit, once you feel too safe. Amazing story, amazing place. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

A busy spot. Had to wait out muggles, but then an easy find.
Cache is damp, probably due to being trapped in a plastic film bag. Log dry though.
Dropped in a kiwi geocoin.

JDSavannah strikes again! Well, in conjunction with TreMichLan. [8)] A lovely day of caching on the way to Manaia from Tauranga. TNLN TFTC. Merry Christmas!
Nice break on way back from NP to Te Aroha, strongly recomend not looking to hard in handy bushes as this has been hamerd as a Toilet stop, Cache is easily grabed avoiding the nastys! great views! TNLN Cheers Muzy Man!
This was the first cache for the day, decided that I would go north and then work my way back down the coast, got as far as this cache and decided that this was far enough north for this visit. Managed to get to the cache without being spotted even though there was a car parked close by, but the driver was totally out to it (asleep- away with the fairies), Found cache very easily, but logbook was a bit wet. TFTC TNLNSL (468)
Spotted easily, not well hidden, it was on the ground in view! Sorry, did not see any Travel Bug in the cache.

No coins here today just a koala travel bug from the UK!

Crappy, crappy day. Will post a pic to depict the conditions. Sent B to find which he did quickly. Swapped coins. TFTC - Bug "Kiwi Volunteer Geocoin Beagle3" dropped
A quick find, knowing what to look for in terms of the NZ Geodetic Benchmark system. Brillant historic prose, thanks
