Second cache for the day and the one most wanted. Hunting Q1000 caches this was one I could not pass up. A quick find at GZ on a quiet road. TFTC
11:27:00 AM. Continued our loop to make the find. Log signed. Thanks for the cache Speedmistress
After a quiet night in Bowenville reserve we headed towards Formatin where we found your cache on 25 August 2023 10:42 am , while enjoying another day out adding to our tally. TFTC Speedmistress
After visiting Lake Broadwater, it was time to start heading home. I decided to take a more scenic route than the highway. I enjoyed my tour along the back roads. I even managed to find a few caches along the way. This one was a quick find. With my name added to the log and everything returned as found, I continued on my way. TFTC
Chasing some 2008 caches and this was on my way! Thanks for replacing.
Thank you Speedmistress for placing this cache for me to enjoy!

My muggle friend Lei and i decided to have a picnic at Lake Broadwater and we stopped to pick up this cache on the way. We loved the drive out here and at GZ we soon spotted the cache. Thanks for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy

Headed west with the gang for a burger ... and a few old caches. And now heading home just T4mmmy and I. I was sort of targeting this one as we picked up others - so here we are for a nice quick find of this lovely oldie.
Thanks Speedmistress for entertaining me at this location.

All we could find was the lid so we left a replacement container. Thanks for the cache
It's for Martin, but we stopped there too.
Found the container and signed the log.

We are on our way back home, but doing detours for areas where we hadn't been at all or long ago.
We made this detour via St. Ruth to get to Bowenville Reserve for an overnight stay.

Have been camping at Bell, arrived Thursday from Widgee for Saturday Event & CITO. Having done all the caches I could in the area, time to move on, heading to Toowoomba , for an evening meal with my daughter.
Anyhow, found this cache on the way. All good

Found with Peppa on a day of adventuring with just a little bit of mud around.
Enjoying a day out west with PirateLinda... Our target is Bell, but I've navigated us out this way looking for a couple of older caches.... Once again, PirateLinda ensured the car was safe by staying with it as I tramped through the mud to look for the cache... Originally Geepers had me much further through the gate, but common sense and improved satellite reception made me move to GZ where I soon found the cache... Made our mark and returned everything as found...

We're staying at nearby Bowenville Reserve and before I started work for the day, I dragged M out of bed to come and find this cache. A pleasant drive and an easy find first thing in the morning.

Brahms6 found this one. Wazza and Kara and Mrs Wazza and Kara some down from Cairns for a couple of days geocaching and we hit the roads. Saw lots of back roads. TFTC.
As we approached the GZ we found the road was closed so made the last 100m on foot. Wazza came up with the find and the log book was signed. TFTC
**Found 13/12/2020 at 10:36:04 AM Smiley #936 **
Christmas Trip 2020 was a blast! 2 adults, 4 kids and 2 dogs towing a camper trailer visiting lots of places in the Queensland Outback. Started Cooroy, staying in Dalby, Nindigully Pub, Charlotte Plains Station, Charleville, Roma, Emerald, Rockhampton and then Yandaran for Christmas before heading home. 4600 kilometers in two and a half weeks with lots of caches in between (well as many as I was allowed to).
All caches were found with ease and in good condition unless stated otherwise, thank you to all the cache owners for placing these caches, especially the ones in remote areas that were great to stop, stretch the legs, and get another smiley.
The roads closed but the closure it right on the edge of the GZ, so you're ok.
Thanks for the cache **Speedmistress**

We are still doing a few caches around Toowoomba with ilook4geo and enjoying the hunt. Two names were inscribed on each log found and the cache container was then put back into place to await the next finder. This was a nice quick and easy find. Many thanks go to Speedmistress for putting this cache into play.
Picking up some caches around Toowoomba before we move on with goingplaces2. No problems finding the ones we wanted, log was signed, job done! TFTC.
We are on our way to Blackall QOGM, our 4th stop on our trip is Bowenville Reserve.
Camped by the river for 3 days to catch up with my brother & try some fishing. Caught one large turtle which was returned back to the river.
Made some time to find a few caches in the area.
Hubby took a ride on his bike to this cache, a 20k return trip the furtherest he has ridden for 1 cache.
Thankyou for placing this cache Speedmistress

TFTC! I really do enjoy country roads for country drives and finding a cache pretty much in the middle of nowhere! Had forgotten about the fly’s though!
Ahh, this cache, in the middle of nowhere on some interesting roads, we were on our way home from Chinchilla to Toowoomba, in our trusty little geo-beast Grover, a suzuki jimny, about as big as a deck of cards with 4 wheels and a 1.3lt engine screaming its head off like a heavy metal concert... Grover loved the drive out and back and tackled everything with glee...but the roads leading up were interesting, bitumen is fun, but some of those bumps saw us go airborn while we were still 10-20kms under the speed limit, then there was the grooves, these roads are made for big trucks carrying BIG loads and ofcourse, they have molded the roads a bit... Grover is narrow... so we spent the whole time riding up and down the ridges trying to keep straight.. I was giggling, Cass stopped breathing... we had fun.. and we found the cache right on sunset... stunning way to finish the day... thanks for the cache Speedmistress!
Geowife found after looking at the old school things you find in the middle of nowhere
TFTC. On our way back from picking up tractor radiator in Dalby. Nice quick find with muggle hubby
We came across your cache, Speedmistress, on our way home from this year's QOGM in Barcaldine.
Nice quick find. Thanks for bringing us here and reminding me of my childhood holidays on the Downs.
Log signed and cache replaced at 12:53 PM on October 4, 2018. TFTC.

In Brisbane for a conference and naturally taking some extra time to go Geocaching. So conference is over, now time for some serious caching. Heading out to Toowoomba for a few days to cache around the area. We much prefer small towns and country caching to big city caching.
Wouldn’t you know it, way out here in the country a muggle turned up to feed the horse just as we arrived at GZ. Then it took Mr S and his sharp eyes to make the find after Mrs S failed.
Thanks Speedmistress for another country smilie.

We found ourselves at the wool shed today, it was hot under the sun and the car air con was welcome relief. On our way home we stop here to pick up this Cache for today. It was pouring with rain by the time the search was on but with good co-ords our name was soon in the log book.
Thanks Speedmistress for another Cache.

TFTC 3043# out and about with miss Millie geo dog cache great cache out in the middle of nowhere Last one for the day
This one had us scratching our heads for a bit until Mrs Parko spotted the sneaky little sucker. Thanks Speedmistress
Found with Mum as 'Jess & Caro'. She is now Carø and I now have my own geocaching profile so we are sorting my logs for caches we found together. TFTC!
I'd kidnapped ranisbaskale for the day for a bit of caching and a picnic, and we were up to finding this one... oh what the heck, there's a cop coming down the road towards us... ok, slow down and wait til he passes.... nope, instead he pulls over and stops, pretty much across the road, opposite the geocache site! I quickly pass my phone to rani... which of course I hadn't been using while driving... I continue on slowly, indicating that I'm veering off the road to the left... the cop eyes me through his window, gives me the thumbs up with a questioning look on his face - is everything ok? I nod and smile and give the thumbs up. Yep, nothing strange going on here, officer...nothing I could explain in a sentence or two, anyay, hehehe. "Smile and wave, kids, smile and wave".
We pull over and head to find the cache, careful to look as suspicious as possible... I glance across and see Mr Copper is now on his mobile phone. It's ok, his vehicle is stopped so it's totally legal.... I wonder if he's calling in to check on my registration number.... we follow the cache description and are careful not to climb any electrical cables or phone lines... especially with the fun police so close by.
Headed east, found nothing.... headed back west... found it! Nice. Signed the log and toddled off waving at the policeman who was still on his phone... must have good mobile reception there.

The plan for today was to meet up with vennfamily, in regions west of Toowoomba, in the hope of securing a FTF on a SSE cache that had previously eluded us & then continue on radiating out towards Dalby & Cecil Plains to see what our caching 'country cousins' had on offer.
Having successfully completed our SSE missions it was time to focus on the 'locals'!
Another nice quick find where the cache is damp & falling apart.
Some CO TLC would be helpful.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

This cache was one of my targets for the day - mainly because of its age.
I parked up in a very quiet Formartin (that is a hell of a town name)... just me and 1 million of the good Lord's flies I followed my phone to a GZ. Nada. I widened my search. Still nothing. I checked the logs.. it was found recently.
I then returned to my original spot and looked from a different angle. Oh - thar she be! I grabbed the log and signed a part of it. The log is in very bad condition. It is worn out and wants replacing. Otherwise, the cache is a-okay. I eventually got the log back into the cache and re-hid it as found.
I liked the lack of muggles - and the interesting little area. The flies.. not so much - but that's the way the cookie crumbles TFTC Speedmistress

Following a route suggested by the Chinchilla 'I' place we trekked across this interesting area looking for a safe place for a lunch stop and here it was. Log was damp but dried it in the sun while we munched. TFTC
Only 5 spaces left on paper. Took a bit of time, don't know how many times we walked past it lol. TFTC
Great cache! This is the 4th last cache for the day. I've been caching since an hour ago.
Cheers!

Having camped out overnight at a familiar location, it was time to make the short drive down the road to finally convert this one to a smiley! It has always been on my radar for "one day". Having not too many caches left close to my campgrounds, today was the day.
I loved running Spangle down the bumpy country road, I saw many birds that I recognized and waved my hand out the window just to feel the breeze and freedom that comes from caching solo. So many pretty butterflies fluttered over the road into the purple haze of the roadside weeds as I continued on to GZ.
Jelly the Wonderdog and myself finally reached our location and I had a little chuckle about the cache name.... I see what you did there A short hunt about the area, then the beasty was in hand. I left my mark and replaced all as found. Afterwards we visited the run down school and the playground made me sad, no more munchkins to play there anymore. It also looks like the local windmill could do with some TLC!
Thanks for the cache Speedmistress

#1979. Had to drive out a bit further this morning to see this community, I think the cache Container was the most modern thing I saw in this town. Sad to see, but thats the way it is going. will the NBN get out here ?

#249 Found this one very quickly. We're clocking up a lot of k's in our attempt to complete the August Challenge! Almost there! TFTC
Drove the short distance off the road to this one with one dog on each side of the van barking and growling. Bit hesitant to get out but perhaps their owner called for they suddenly disappeared.
The alarm was going off in the building - a structure Mr Beetle is very familiar with after 40 years of working for the company.
A quick find was made - this is a much nicer size to deal with than its smaller version.
Nice play with words too in the cache name.
Thanks.

As we made our way towards GZ the sheep in the fenced off area around the telephone exchange took off through the sheep proof fence and headed for home.
