TFTC smile19975 Out and about on a Sunny day on my way to Wollongong in a round about way picking up LGAs on the way fore!got to log this cache when in Canberra so fore!warning you that I was part of 9 for Qld Fore! that dayThank you Fore! fore! placing this cache fore! our enjoyment
Sadly, it's time to leave Canberra in the rear view mirror, and return home. I've had a great time during GeoBash, and I need to come back for a longer visit.Arising early this morning to grab a couple of caches I had not managed to visit during my stay, I drove as close as I could, expecting to be the only one there. With perfect timing I had the pleasure off meeting up with Fredd01, just as she had picked up a nearby cache. After a short chat we decided to join forces and hike along the horse track to a couple more hides. The first hurdle was to get through the barbed wire fence. I had my 30kg dog, Pilot, with me, but it had mesh on the lower section. Pilot couldn't get through, so I had to pick him up and help him through the small gap. Fredd0 and I held thee wire strands for each other and, once that was achieved, it was a pleasant stroll to GZ as we chatted. We had no trouble locating the container and, after signing the log, we continued on our way. Thanks for bringing us here, Fore!
Very snakey and overgrown here. Visiting Canberra for the Mighty Mega. A wonderful event! Many thanks Fore! for providing this game piece for our enjoyment.
We made a last minute decision to head down to Canberra to join in all the fun at the Capital GeoBash MEGA Event. Only able to attend on the Saturday & Sunday, with an overnight stay at the border on Saturday night in a park cabin at the Eaglehawk Caravan Park, as it's back to work early Monday morning for geodad. Today (day 2) started with a couple of Traditional cache finds right out the front of our overnight accommodation (Eaglehawk Caravan Park), then drove back to the GeoBash MEGA site for some more Labs and Gadget caches, and then a few MultiCaches (plus a Traditional cache) located close to the GeoBash site. It was then time for us to hit the highway and head for home, with a stop-off at Goulburn's Big Merino for a Virtual cache, a Mystery/Puzzle cache, a Traditional cache, as well as petrol, pies & cakes from Trappers Bakery, and Maccas for ice cream. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base. This was the 28th of 34 finds for the day (day 2), and 50th of 56 finds for the MEGA weekend. After a fun filled morning of Labs and Gadget caches at the GeoBash MEGA we headed out to the front of the MEGA site for some tasty sausages (MultiCaches), and whilst picking up one of those snags we diverted slightly for this nearby Traditional cache. Soon arrived at GZ and made a nice quick find of the cache container. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Fore!Find #6811
Here in Canberra for the Mega and we found your cache while exploring the area.We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty.Enjoyed caching in this area, cache and contents were in good condition. Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.
We got sucked in by the geotrail that went to a big stump. Then we moved to the real GZ for a quick find. Thanks Fore!
That was lucky - First place I looked, with no counting.Unfortunately the wet log sheet was not signable.
Today is GEOBASH Day in Canberra! We found this cache and signed the log. Thanks to all COs who have put out caches in ACT!
We stay for a week in Canberra with TBU1BIKESU for the MEGA 2024.We are stopping for some smileys. We found this cache and signed the log. Thanks for the cache to the CO. Fore!
Geobash Easter Mega - Day #3 (Easter Saturday 30/3)Day three saw me head up the Federal Hwy towards Goulburn for a family reunion. I was asked to be there for at least a little while. So I left early and soon enough I found myself finding some solved WIGs and Letterboxs as well as others to and from Canberra. It was a great trip. Though I was pushing it time wise to get back in time for the big event [GCAKTHC]. I ended up getting back around 2:15pm-ish and that means I was just in time for the big event. That was certainly my first ever Geocaching Wedding attended. Congratulations Fitzy & Minniek. Afterwards A group of us went and found some nearby caches. Most of them were DSD multi-caches. Then it was time to head off and get some dinner and then back to the motel for some sleep. TB visit. If the cache wasnt signed as JohnoMawbs, it was signed as JM or as the tour group name. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTEs & TFTCs After the Wedding, I headed off with a couple of others to find the nearby muti-caches. Also there were a couple of others added to the mix. This was one of those finds. I wanted to find this one because it is an oldie. I will always go out of my way for an oldie. I'm glad I did find. it was a great location to bring people. Thanks for placing it 16 years ago. A nice quick find at GZ. Once signing duties were complete I headed off to the next one. Thanks for placing this great cache.
30/3/2024 Find #6938Day two of our Canberra adventures. And we had finally made it to the MEGA location. Having completed the gadget Lab caches we had a little time to kill so decided to grab a couple of caches nearest to the MEGA as well. We drove the car to a particular spot before commencing our walk. Yep we possibly came in the more awkward of the options but made it to GZ, despite KBreeAHHs lack of approval of the long grass. Logsheet was not in the best of ways so Captain Terror took a photo of the cache and log for us here today. Thanks for the cache Fore!.

Out and about in Canberra with the view to collect Multies, challenges and suburban cachesCaching with and signing as the group '9 for QLD' and having a great day.TFTCache Fore!
Today, the Mega begins. After the "official" stuff and the event, we go geocaching. Log sheets as "9 for QLD" to save space and time.I see there are a series of FORE! caches. Hope I can get some more while here.Logs signed and caches replaced as found on 28th March 2024. TFTC, Fore!.
Great fun and exciting day today where our group of Queenslanders swelled to 9 cachers, and hence, to save room on the logs, we are signing as 9 for QLD.Thanks, Fore!, for this cache, slowly logging from my trip away!
Today sees the opening of the long awaited geobash. While it might not be the official opening it was good to get in an early start. I had car park duties first up this morning, it was nice to meet and greet the cachers as they came in. Registration done, bags picked up, car flag, check out the stalls and ok I'm ready for caching. This is just nicely organised and well set up. Pathtags will be tomorrow. I wondered off and did some of the gadget caches before I meet up with my team mates for the day and we worked out what we were doing.ok sorted and we are off, there were multis and challenge caches, a few puzzles and a few targets for the day. It was not going to be a huge day, well it is a late start and there is an afternoon drinks event and then dinner.
In Canberra for the mega. Out for a bike ride this afternoon. The log is a wet rusty mess. The weather is brilliant and we are having a great time. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Well I certainly found a much better way out of my previous find and in no time at all I waas within a small cooee of my car. Unfortunately that meant that i had by passed this cache that I had decided to grab as well and the only way back to it was through the 2 metre high grass again.. Do I throw another pair of socks or spend ages trying to remove seeds that had by passed the sock protectors ?
The cache was an easy enough find if you don't count the travel to arrive at GZ. TFTC Fore! Cache was in decent condition and the log was signed.

Went to get this one and after my parents parked the car I was off, for the first half it was fine but then the water started getting boggy and the grass getting higher. I found the cache quickly enough but when I looked ahead at the head-height grass in the distance, I realized that maybe I should turn back and do the caches there another time. TFTC Fore!
A very cold day but nonetheless this cache and its neighbour have been on my radar for a while. Much slower going than I had expected with the ground extremely boggy from about 400m beyond the parking spot all the way to this cache and then the sogginess continued to the one beyond as well. Nonetheless very glad to be slogging through this long grass now and not in snake season!
Cache was found quickly at GZ; log is ever so slightly damp but perfectly OK otherwise.
Thanks, Fore!

I dropped off Dino at training and then had Hoppy which was keen to get his walk. I decided these two caches here would make for a nice walk. Turns out it was a very nice walk but at the same time it took quite a while such that I was a little late for pickup after the hour again, but all was fine and I am glad I finally did this walk as it was on my to do list for a while now.
Thank you Fore! for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Finishing work a little early this afternoon after a client meeting in Hackett, I checked the App for a nearby daily. Most of the ones nearby were mystery caches so chose this for a traditional. It had the bonus of not being found since October last year. As I parked near the entry to the equestrian trail I also acquired the necessary info for the accompanying multi. Unfortunately I don’t have a horse so it was all to be on foot. Headed in and looked in what I thought was the most obvious spot before taking a peak at the hint and changing my search target. I now knew where to look but was still a little lost due to the long grass. I was still able to make the find before too long and pried the log from the cache. Interestingly the last written log was minniek in July last year, so not sure about people claiming finds without physical proof, but that’s just a bug bear of mine.
Regardless, first logged find for 2021 is mine and now onward to hopefully find the multi mentioned earlier. Thanks Fore! for this cache. I’m surprised how busy it is at the nearby caravan park!!

I spent the day at EPIC interviewing dog breeders at the Dog Extravaganza. But before I did that I took the Ridgeopup for a geocaching outing so she didn't feel too left out.
A cold morning but the frost was gone and I could see sunshine reflecting off the distant Brindabellas. The walk brought back memories of when I used to have horses and would get up early to go tend to them on winter mornings. This was a great gentle walk for us to ease back into it after many weeks off our feet. The RP even got to spend some quality off lead time before we started to see kangaroos and I clipped her back on to be safe.

A long day caching in Canberra that started with a park run at Lake Tuggeranong, some caches in the lake area and then a move all over Canberra to end up at the event at the southern cross club. Lots and lots of walking and even more hills, but that's no surprise in Canberra. Secretly I actually like the hills and the views that come with it. Only a few DNF's today, my bad and all caches were in good condition! Thanks to all the owners for placing them. To add to the fun I did this one in the pitch dark, with fog and cold all around me!

Spot on coords and hint made this a very quick find, after I had walked the 1.2km's that is. 11 years old and no favourite points... that's not right, so I am awarding the first
Found this back in August when I did the multi but forgot to log it. Sorry for the late entry
I picked up this traditional while in the area doing a multi. It was an enjoyable walk on a lovely autumn afternoon.

This is a belated log! No it’s back to the NNF for some relax, music and fun. TFTC
Tftc. Parked near the posted coords and strolled along in the company of a few horses. Quick find at GZ and I was back in the car and on my way soon after.
I got to finish up work a bit earlier and had to pick up a delivery at the Australia Post place in Mitchell, so of course the logical thing to do was get on the bike and make a caching trip out of it.
Another one that wasn't on my original plan, but was an absolute no-brainer when doing the multi. A bonus, really. TNLNSL TFTC

Thursday 12 October 2017 - a beautiful sunny Spring day in the low 20s with a cool wind taking the edge off the day. The area between Mt Ainslie and Mt Majura is very pleasant for a stroll and great views back over towards the airport. Rode my bike, and walked leisurely over 7km for more than 4 hours to find 7 caches (3 mystery, 1 multi and 3 trads).
A pleasant flat easy walk in the late afternoon. Enjoyed the approx 3.7 km return walk picking up 2 caches along this trail. Such a busy corner at the start with cars and horse riders alike. Thx p2p. TFTC Fore!

Out with Aquilus1 for a quick cache run. She had been here before, but let me find quickly behind the long... long grass. Tftc!!!
With a bit of spare time for an extended lunch break and being such a nice day, this was a nice place to get out and stretch my legs. Having completed the multi first this was the second of the day and using the clue this was a very easy find here! The strip has been mowed at some point recently and a nice cleared, flat easy walk along, thanks for the cache Fore!
Came for a walk through this unknown and overgrown track today, what a lovely location for a couple of caches and a perfect day for it too!
This was the first of two, got to GZ and made a quick find. The container and log are in great condition despite being unfound for over 7 months, which was quite surprising but good!
Nice to get the unloved months here, I need them if I am ever going to hit that 50 year mark!
Thanks for the cache Fore!

TFTC. Wish I had taken more notice yesterday as I traipsed through the slush. No matter found it today .
I accidentally wrote a log for this which was for the previous cache I had found, so I have deleted that log and this is now the correct one. Apologies! The walk to GZ was wet, in fact it was a "wetlands" which was accompanied by the sound of frogs and ducks in the new and nearby puddles everywhere. In fact, it was impossible to avoid the water. Despite this, the cache is totally dry and snug, so once the log was signed
it was a wet walk back to the car. Looking around me after having found the cache I see that if I had entered this area from another direction it would have been a much drier pathway. Nonetheless it was peaceful and beautiful.
Thanks Fore!

Found 3:43 pm with AuroraEve. Today was the day to return home to the Central Coast after AuroraEve and I did a flying visit to Canberra to wrap some stuff up and visit the geodaughter. This was now on our way back to the coast and I'd been wanting to find the caches in this area most of which I'd worked out or had my eye on for some time. So this one was on my list for a long time and finally with AuroraEve found the blighter after a lengthy walk. The coords were good. Signed the log and the closed the cache and in our way to the next one.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Finally made it out to collect these two caches. A nice walk along the track with a bit of a break saying hello to the horses in the nearby paddock. The old boy was such a sweetie and quite content just to stand there while I gave him a cuddle. I eventually continued on my way and made a quick find at GZ. Thanks Fore!

Last cache of the afternoon while on a quick caching mission with TikvaNZ after work. Headed over the fence to the trail from a convenient waypoint, and made the (hot) wander to GZ. The log was very hard to extract from the cache, and we needed to improvise a tool to help, but the log got a bit mangled on the way out. It was pretty tattered in any case. Thanks Fore! the cache!

Found with AngelG27 on a short caching run after work. Parked around 400m from GZ and wandered along the trail to find it. Another very hot walk! The cache was soon found, but it is now missing a lid - it disintegrated on us.. TFTC

2nd find today with Coybear2000. The container is broken and the log paper falling apart. And there were too many flies. Lots of interesting coloured bugs flying around as well. TFTC
We were en-route to Youthful ReFore!m so this was a two-for-one deal (actually, three-for-one). Can't resist up-sizing or a bottomless cup. Logsheet is rather damp but we managed to make our mark. Thanks Fore!
Out for a quick afternoon cache to keep up my dailies. Having done one nearby recently i though i would pop in and pick this up. Arrived at GZ and looked at the most obvious structure before checking the clue and locating the container.

Cache lid is cracked so logs were wet and now pushed down the bottom. Needs a new sheet (small size). I hung it upside down to keep the water out.
I have drive past this one many times and always wondered how to access it. Even parked outside the Law Enforcement once but didn't think that was right. The multi pointed me in the right direction so it wasn't so hard after all. TFTC Fore!.
I grabbed this one while out on the Law EnFor(c)e!ment multi. Thanks Fore! the cache.
As I was in the area for another cache, I decided to continue on to this one as the place has had the mower through it recently-hello easy walking, goodbye annoying grass seeds! [^]
As I strolled along I said hello to the friendly horses-such beautiful creatures! Anyway, once at GZ it was a nice easy find. The lid of the container is cracked and brittle (UV has got to it) and the log was damp but still signable. Now, onwards for more!
Thanks Fore! yet another

Nice walk after working the epic markets. Log is wrecked and needs replacing. Thanks fore!
Found with GrimRaider and the geohounds on a walk after work. What a beautiful afternoon - love this time of year! We were heading for the multi and trying to guess which side of the fence to take it. We've done a few Fore! caches and ended up choosing the right path. Nice hide with the log book bone dry. Thanks again Fore! - we love doing your caches
2014 - day 14.
Came with I-CCCLXXX and the geo hound, braving the blistering heat (even at 6:30pm) to get my 2014 daily fix.
The horses were too hot to move.
There was one very big hare, not daring to cross our path.
Found this without problem.
Thanks for the cache.

A pleasant short walk and we met friendly horses. No carrots to give them though. TFTC.
We took our bikes on this hunt, bit of a bunny ride and in the process we lost our writing stick, so we couldn't sign however Baja15 took a picture as proof, what a great area fro dogs to have a run.TFTC
Found with J+J.au but once at the cache we found that we didn't have a pen. Having been riding hills all morning neither of us volunteered to go back to the car so I took a picture instead. Great place to give the dogs a run. TFTC
I found this cache whilst equicaching Didn't have a pen on me at the time, so took a pic as proof instead. Thanks for the cache, never expected one to be out here!
found the cache after a nice Mtn bike ride from the north . It is a little damp inside. TFTC
I'm renewing my commitment to maintaining these caches. I'll put a plan of attack together and get through them in the next 4 weeks. (I hope) Watch this space....!
These two law enforcement caches have been annoying us for a while - always driving by but never having time to stop. Today was different, so parked away from the road workers and did the first bit of the multi and then headed for this cache. Miscounted at first (must be the wind) but soon had the cache signed and was on my way to the multi. TFTC Fore!
2013-07-24 0143 A pleasant time for a walk, after those freezing/wet/hail-ful days we've had recently. Saw evidence of cache-hunting at the GZ, which confirmed that I had the right area. Horses in nearby paddocks came up to the fence to say hello. Or ask for an apple? Tks Fore!
#602 - 17:25; I hadn't logged a Fore! cache Fore! a while, so thought I'd get a couple off the 'to do' list this evening. Found a park near WP1 for Youthful ReFore!m (GC1G7RZ) and after gathering the relevant inFore!mation for that one and calculating GZ, headed off. I reached GZ while there was still enought light to make the find and complete the log before heading off to bag the second leg of this quinella. TFTC Fore!
Returned log after it had dried out and when I replaced I discovered the lid has a crack on top, the reason water would be getting in. Put cache back upside down maybe the water won't get in but probably needs repairing.
Found with Snoopy1976 while doing the multi. Log was totally saturated so we left the cache open to dry and took the log with us to dry out. SL #838 TFTC
Found on a nice day with sutho68. After finding the nearby multi, we walked over to this one. Once at GZ, the cache was found after a minute or two. Nice area and trail. The army helicopters flew over us again as we were signing the log! TFTC Fore!!
