Out on a maintenance run with the CO and Zobo04. Such a great day for it and just cool and windy enough to keep most of the muggles away. After a short search I spotted what I was looking for.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache and the fun day

Early morning expedition to grab some at low tide ones and this one is our first. Thanks for the cache and the series
Ok so we were pretty sure we had the coords right .. Thanks to Geohubby for trying this one .. Def not a quick stop - sadly couldn't find it
Searched high searched low talked to some wallabies who had not seen it had to give up
Was out on a philip island geoday to find a heap of caches on the island. Well we found some caches but not heaps as they seemed to be than a walk up but what some great views TFTC for all your efforts too.
While the Phillip Island Crew did a big hike, I did this one which in my current condition, is a BIG hike! They told me it was a "Quick drive by"!!! Like HELL! Oh well that was my challenge for the day. TFTC
A group of us planned a geocaching assault on Phillip Island today, seeing how far we would get in finding all of the approximately 120 available caches. We did aim mostly for puzzles, mysteries and earthcaches so it was no surprise that we ended the day with less than 20 finds... quality over quantity, I suppose .
Once we had the required co-ordinates we split up and made our way to GZ from different directions. I took the short way down from the east with some others, which proved the T4 way too! I think the western approach was a little gentler. The cache was found and the log signed as 'Phillip Island Crew' to save space.
Like the nearby signs proclaim this south coast Berrys Beach is indeed "rugged".
Thanks for the mystery series, Hell+Back/Gonefishen07.

A big drive down from Geelong for a day out on the Island with friends old and new. A great day with mainly finds save for a couple of D5's. Perfect weather too which had to be happy with, despite the thick fog in the morning! Caches were logged 'The Philip Island Crew - 5/08/16' to save logbook space as a group.
I swear we took the long way down here, from the cliff! Safely done. Cheers and thanks!

Another one I seem to have solved a freakishly long time ago. Two separate contingents set out from two different directions to have a look at the cache. Some of us took what was arguably a slightly silly route. A fun route though. On the other hand I momentarily lost my pen in the scrub. That was not all that much fun. Not unexpectedly, geniejoan had already done the honours when we arrived; signed 'The Phillip Island Crew', as time-saving measure. Thanks Hell+Back & Gonefishen07!
We definitely took the roundabout way down to this cache
Down the steep sandy dune
Through jagged bushes as tough as woodpecker lips
But we got there in the end and BendSinister had his eagle eyes on the prize
Only to find our team name already inscribed on the ledger
Oh well
Back up we go

Finally out and about after a ferocious storm during the night, still really wild and woolly so focusing on those caches a bit away from rocks and water Brilliant to be down on the beach though a little challenging to stay upright but great to blow the cobwebs out (think they may have blown clear to Antarctica! ) Found this one with little trouble and certainly no muggles around
Solved puzzle ages ago, just waiting for another reason to come here. I often do bird surveys here but today I was on Hooded Plover watch. Birds were hiding and beach goers all left so thought I'd have a go for this.
I love the rocks on this beach, especially this formation. In fact I did a geology assignment on it.
It took a while and some thinking to find it, but I love a challenge!

While staying in Frankston (waiting for the Melbourne Mega) we visited our Geodaughter and her partner who were holidaying on the Island from Adelaide.
While her partner attended a 'California Superbike's School' our Geodaughter (Karopi) accompanied us to a few caches during the afternoon.
We had all spent quite a while working on some of the Island's puzzles.....with Karopi having much more success than us but we were all delighted to make a quick, easy find and we now see this makes 3800 finds for us
Many thanks for the hide Gonefishen07[^]

After asking for permission to log a nearby earthcache, I was asked if I could venture down to the GZ and see if the cache was still in place. I approached GZ and within five minutes had the cache in hand.
Thanks for the cache Gonefishen07!!!

Not Drowning, Caching - Berrys Beach was transferred from hell+back to user Gonefishen07
Another day of caching on the Island with the family....another day of changeable weather. Great excuse to be out and about. The walk down to the cache was icy. On the return journey, the stairs seemed so much higher than on the way down! Thanks.
Found this with the familiy. Mum and Dad worked out the puzzles then we all went to find them together. Thanks for this series - it's been great fun!
Enjoyed the walk to this cache which was quickly found in good condition just where our GPS told us it should be.
Found with Gonefishen07, Lazzal and Liz and Bruce. I was very lucky to be able to log these caches as I was picked up from school instead of getting the bus home. I was glad that they picked me up as we had lots of fun finding these caches around the Island. Thanks Hell+back for hiding them. TFTC
We have wanted to do this series of caches for a very long time and finally our travels have bought us close by. A fine day and awesome scenery made this a caching day to remember. We ventured from spot to spot, occasionally groaning at yet another set of steps and another walk through the sand but then the incredulous comments about the shape of the rocky outcrops, the changing colour of the rocks, the changing sea or the way the sea looked like waterfalls coming off the rocks. As the day turned into night we experienced an amazing sunset with the hues changing to soft and calming colours. During the course of the day we saw Cape Barren Geese, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Sea Eagles and penguins. Our company for the day LazzaL, Gonefishen07 and when school finished Zobo04 joined in the hunt, we could not have asked for better. We broadened our search by about 12m and found the nicely hidden cache. Thanks to hell+back for the enormous effort in organizing this variety of caches and for showing us the beauty spots of Phillip Island.
A very big day doing this series of caches with Liz and Gonefishen07, some very challnging walks to the caches and some extremely beautiful scenery. This is definitely at least a 2 day exercise to get all of this series. Home at 8pm with pizza for dinner, the rest will have to wait. Thanks to hell+back for hiding this cache.
Found with Liz & Bruce, Lazzal and Zobo04 on a perfect day for caching. I was very lucky to be able to tag along with these teams today and gather knowledge from them. These teams carry a wealth on knowledge. It was also a pleasure to be able to show them some fantastic local sights. It was a fun filled day with lots of walking, talking and laughs. Thanks for helping me show them around the island. Thanks to hell+back
Suscoe was heading back to Cowes and a detour here was required.
We enjoyed the task to work out the GZ and then the trip there was an unexpected delight.
A cool breeze, sunny skies and we had the area almost to ourselves.
The cache was located in the third spot checked and it is safely tucked away again.
What a great spot this is.
Thanks to hell+back for yet another interesting puzzle and a terrific GZ.
It is nice to finally have this cache converted to a smilie.

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out! Resorted to hint and extended our search area but still no luck. Another candidate for a return visit!
Thanks for the hunt anyway hell+back .

Really enjoying your puzzles and do appreciate the work you have put into them. The variety is great. The grey cells have probably depleted since I finished solving the series so long ago.
Waited for some muggle children to walk on by and then quickly found the container and signed the log.

This morning we cached in and around Wonthaggi. This afternoon we returned to Phillip Island. Yesterday we found some of the caches in this series and today we wanted to see if we could add to our collection. We had solved this puzzle before leaving Tassie. This was our first of the "Not Drowning, Caching" caches for today. It was an enjoyable walk to GZ but it took a few minutes before the cache was located. The cache and it's contents were in good condition. TFTC hell+back. Another cache in the series completed - we were looking forward to the task for the final cache.
A few weeks solid work saw us work out a number of these caches. Lots of possible hides, but we found it. Walked back up yet another climb behind an unlucky fisherman - no fish. Enjoying the challenges hell+back

Team Mornington, Hazey1, Biger12, MrMcGee and Saulman1010. Having solved this awhile ago, time to actually go collect some on our way out and about. Nice stroll along to get this one, easy find. Walking back, nearly got wet with the incoming waves…. time to speed up… TFTC
Team Mornington, Hazey1, Biger12, MrMcGee and myself on an April Fools day caching run on the island again today.
Grabbed a few and finished off others.
Nice day, for a few caches, looking for one of the new "TINY" caches
Much work done in past to solve most of this series, now is the time to start picking them up.
Really enjoying this series.

My regular caching partner SedgwickDave has left me for a holiday in Western Australia, so I decided to head out to an area he had already covered and find as many caches as possible. My main target was the hell+back Not Drowning, Caching series, which I had managed to solve most caches some time ago, but it was not until today that I had the opportunity to go and find them. As it was going to be a very hot day, I was keen to head out early when hopefully it was a bit cooler.
Another hot cache, walking out in the sun, again the beach was packed, although not close to where I needed to be. I was very glad of the small bit of shade at GZ where I quickly located the cache.
Thanks to hell+back for the cache. TNLN

Only have a few Not Drowning caches to go and then I can start on the End Game. Sl Thanks Hell & Back for the cache
Enjoyed working out the puzzle clues and another great beach walk. Unusual puzzle-thanks for the challenge.
A pleasant walk along the beach, apart from the odd deceased penguin and catatonic New Year's reveller. A quick find at the end of the walk, then back to the box on wheels to escape the rain which was now making an appearance. Thanks hell+back for the cache.

This was a great cache. Mrs Madstars really enjoyed the history lesson.
The cache was also located in an amazing location as well. We all loved the location immensely. Thank you for bringing us here. The adventure was truly fun. The rocks were amazing.

Afte three days we are working our way through this puzzle cache series. Not sure if we'll get them all done especially as we keep getting side tracked by other caches. Thanks for all your hard work. We're really enjoying the challenge.
Nice easy find with Akushi, our visiting Japanese teacher. Thanks again Hell and Back.
A nice easy find for this one after a short stroll along the beach. It does pay to do it when the tide is out, no water for us to navigate.
We're starting to get through this series, only a few more to go now on our trip around the island. Lucky we are staying here a few days. It has given us time to enjoy the scenery as well as grab these caches. We had spent a very cold winter last year in Tassie house sitting when we completed the puzzles, now is our first chance to complete the challenge.
Thanks again Hell+Back. You gave given us a lot of fun

Found while on a caching trip to Phillip Island with abl973. This was a fun puzzle to solve and was capped off with a nice walk along the beach to GZ. Thanks hell+back for another cache in the series.
15/07/12 2:51 PM Find #1117 Its back to the island for myself and Square Pegs. Our day started with clear skies and a crisp breeze which developed into rain and strong wind. The elements certainly tested our resolve but it was amazing. We saw contrasts of colour in the sea and surrounding environment that is the sort of thing most people would never see as they opt to stay indoors.
This is a great hiding spot. I enjoyed the walk to it. Thanks Hell+Back.

#2875 We solved this puzzle quite some time ago and as with many it is nice to have the checker to ensure all is OK. We found ourselves traversing many stairs - we 're certainly getting our exercise for the day! We enjoyed our stroll toward GZ for this cache and soon had located the nicely hidden container - we'd be surprised if this cache goes walkabout any time soon. Our thanks to Hell+Back for the puzzle and cache, we're having a hoot [^]
After a full school term with exam after exam, I didn't get to do much caching. This was all going to change however when I started to plan an assault on Philip Island. I started to think of which town would be best to assault to raise me from the dead after my abysmal effort in the earlier months. With 3 different series, a power trail, and a handful of other caches, Philip Island was the place to go. So I started solving the puzzles and making a few phone calls so I would have the best chance of finding a heap. I solved most of the puzzles, however some of them required a bit of a nudge or someone else to realise my error. I started to think about my route in a way that would get me the most finds possible. We ended up with 55 in one day, and 87 for the whole weekend which was a fantastic effort . The weather was very on and off for the whole weekend which made some journeys quite unpleasant, however on the whole it was awesome. The Nobbies was a definite highlight for me. We started off the day with the 'Pathway' and managed to complete it and all of the other caches along the trail in just over 4 hours. What an awesome weekend! Thank you to all of the owners who contributed, but especially hell+back and The Three Geo Amigos (you know who you are)!

From memory, this puzzle was solved fairly easily but apparently I had the wrong coordinates! As night had just fallen, this was an interesting one to get to. It was getting pretty wet but we pushed on to find the cache. A very nice location here and a good hide. We were hoping to see some penguins, but I guess they were all over the other side. Thanks again hell+back

Found on another "HUGE" TDC - The Demolition Crew night. The usual crew including Quasar3671 and TrailRunning were together again for the second round at the Island, cleaning up what we missed on the previous fortnight. With us again was Roostaman from Wagga, who wanted equally as much to clean out the area.
As bad as the weather was, we still made the pilgrimage, with rain and howling winds all the way. Many weather and environmental challenges met us, including ankle deep water and impassable roads to some caches due to flood water. At some of the caches we spent time rock hopping and surf dodging. I luckily had on adequate boots in the form of my "Caching Taipan Boots" but rain protection in the form of a waterproof coat, I did not, so I made do. The weather itself added to the excitement of the night, and it is one that I will not forget. It is the most extreme conditions I have cached in to date. As Roostaman said in his log, the wind topped out at almost 60kph gusts, awesome stuff. It did fine up a little at the end, enough to get a glimpse of the partial Lunar Eclipse which was also happening on the night.
In spite of all the above, still able to do 25 or so caches on the island, including 9 mystery, several multis, an Earthcache and a Nightcache, and a handfull of trads. In the end, not a late night, being in bed by about 2.45am. Thanks to all the cache owners in the area.

Wind while walking along the beach, was savage indeed. Then a heap of water to walk through to get to the cache. Sooo much fun, and at night. Still extreme caching time. TFTC and a bit more adventure.

Found on another hell of a wild night ride around Phillip Island with TrailRunning & Black Legend.
Early on it was raining heavy with 35km winds, so what do we do, get out of the car and go for walks along the beaches, etc thankfully it was low tide, and search for hidden plastic, not short strolls either, and some jogging was done to get there quicker sometimes. My jeans were soaked by the time we returned to the car at the first cache and that was just the start of one long night of mad mayhem and adventures.
This was extreme caching Vic style and it went on for several hours. The wind gusts almost reached 60kmh and nearly took a door off the car. My socks were soaked inside my boots from walking in small flowing 'tracks' and wet grass, then they somehow dried, then we managed to find more puddles to walk in, just as the night drew to a close. We did also get a glimpse of the partial lunar eclipse through a break in the clouds and rain, and later saw the full moon shine down onto one of the many beaches we visited during the night.
The way we experienced the Island this time will go down as a big favourite and be in my memory banks for a long time. My thanks to the Demolition Crew for the opportunity to join in when I could have been snug and warm in bed.
Thanks for the cache and the great series, Hell+Back,
Roostaman.

Two weeks ago The Demolition Team took a Monday night caching trip to the island where a good number of caches were collected. At that time, we knew that we would have to come back to complete the island and tackle some of the harder multi’s. So once again we headed south to collect as many more as we could with the limited time we had available. Once again the Roostaman joined in the fun on this very wet and very very windy night for what turned out to be one of the most extreme rock hopping, surf dodging caching nights any of us had done. The wild weather added to the excitement of the night and every cache presented the team with an environmental challenge or two. Good thing I was wearing my GP’s. With the permission of the cache owners, a number of caches were replaced as they had gone missing, our way of saying thank you for such an eventful couple of nights on the Island. Our only regret was missing out on a number of the western caches as we did not realise this part of the island is closed at night to protect the penguin population for human interference. With a full night of caching we probably would have completed all the active caches remaining available to us, but time tonight was limited and we headed home at a reasonable hour, cold and wet, but very pleased with our efforts. Thanks to all the cache owners, and in particular Hell+Back, for her caching placement efforts.
The wind here was particularly bad, and access to the cache was across a significant amount of water. This place would be great for an earthcache.

The kids were getting restless so a couple of caches and a play at the beach was in order. I left the geokids while made the find and brought it down for their perusal. After much discussion, took a horse and two koalas, left a troll, an angry birds keyring and a pvz sunflower. Thanks hell+back for the cache and the series. It's going to take me years to finish it though.
We found this cache as a part of a non-stop 24 hour caching run with Marcus Vitruvius.
We logged 207 caches in the 24hr period, and this was one of them.
This was one of the many "Not Drowning, Caching" puzzles we were able to solve and log whilst on the island tonight.
Another great location for a cache.
Many thanks hell+back for a great series of puzzles and caches - quite enjoyable. TNLN SL. Cheers.

This was another find today as part of a 24hr caching run that yielded 207 cache finds with Haveanez. After grabbing the nearby 'Lookout', it was on to this one, and after a quick search around GZ, the cache was located. Enjoying a lot of these locations.

Lid was off the cache, log book was damp. Signed it and made sure the lid was sealed before returning it to it's hiding spot. TFTC

we set off today with big plans of caching and getting this whole series done. We found this one after a lovely stroll but geokids decided they'd had enough (wet feet probably didn't help) they just wanted to jump on the jumping pillow at the van park! So we won't get this series done on this short trip to the island...three days just isn't enough to do it all. Instead we went to the chocolate factory and then the penguins...we will do a bit more over the next day or two but will just have to come back another time to finish the series! Afterall...its about so much more than just the numbers! Thankyou for bringing us to such a beautiful beach that we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise!
found without too much trouble - out came a helicopter and a #1 teddy and in went a balloon, a bangle and a maze puzzle.

A trip down to the Island gave me the opportunity to have a go at some of the 'Not Drowning , Caching' series. As with most of the puzzles in the series I had this solved a little while ago, after a bit of Google researching. Had the whole beach to myself so enjoyed the walk to GZ. Found the cache and signed the log. Thanks for the puzzle and hide.
Found on another caching jaunt with my best mate Slink1 and in company with the Bright Beavers TFTC SL
have been sitting on these for a while and before many more changes I had a day out caching with Bright Beaver #1 and Dunko thanks for the hide and puzzle. SL

A great walk down to the beach and across to find the cache here today. I enjoy a stroll on the beach, regardless of weather, but today it wasn't too cold, just very, very windy. The cache ended up being a little tricky but was discovered after only a few minutes.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks hell+back for this cache experience at this location here today.

Found at 1727hrs on our "Not Drowning" caching weekend, thanks hell+back for the cache, TNLNSL
Definitely found this one.
Convinced family to come for a walk.
This is a lovely beach, there were plenty of cuttlefish on the way and lots of dead mutton birds on the beach.
Had a scoot around and managed to locate the cache reasonably easy.
On the way back though, had a very close encounter with a copperhead snake, sitting right next to the path.
Unbeknownst to Hubby and 6yo daughter, they had walked straight past. Lucky I spied with my 4yo and we stopped in time.
Hubby came back and Mr Snake moved on, definitely left me spooked though. Mutton birds are breeding around there, so probably lots of food for him.

Didn’t check the co-ords on this one before leaving home so I was relieved to find cache in first place I looked.
Very sad memorial to a lost child at the lookout, made me reflect on what it would be like to lose one of my own as I walked along this beautiful beach
Thx for bringing me here Hell+Back

Mr Jibblets and I enjoys the walk down the hill and along the beach. After moving away from the cliff face I got a good reading on the GPS and cache was in hand. #18 for the day. TFTC
I was really looking forward to visiting this cache - this beach was our beach of choice back in the days when our group of mates had regular Australia Day Weekend's down at Phillip Island. I reckon it’s been more than 10 years since my last visit here - I see that there is now the addition of several nearby facilities and path improvements since. Gee we had some good times on this beach - beer on ice in the eski, fantastic beach cricket, getting dumped by the surf and sunburnt tops of feet! Anyway, I found the cache with no problems, with no-one else around to interrupt my search. TNLN & SL at 6:45pm. TFTC! Regards, 38degsouth.
Found at 3.15pm GAFF4. After setting up our caravan in Cape Paterson for the Christmas holidays, we rushed over to Phillip Isl to continue with the remainder of the Not Drowning series tha we had started a few months back. The weather was absolutely magnificent and our spirits high in the hope of discovering new beaches - and this was one of those straight up. Never been here before. Thanks Hell+Back - this puzzle was a bit easier, but still caused some discussion amongst a few.
