Unfortunately we are no longer in a position to check on this so will have to archive.
Nothing to be found outside of the blackberries - there has been some earth moving at GZ so that may have affected the cache.
Lots of Blackberry and a big pile of dirt.
Possibly hiding underneath this but unfortunately I didnt bring my spade with me this time

Someone camping right on spot, lots of blackberry and didn't fancy showing the mongrel mob what I was doing
Eerily quiet and calm - with just a friendly horse for company. Thanks for the advice about the blackberry !
A few muggles but hardest part was keeping loud mouthed kids from yelling " We found the Treasure"
Yah for waterproof paper and for the fact the council doesn't seem to be doing its job well! TFTC
Down to the mountains for the weekend with NovaLightning. Nice quiet little spot, thanks for bringing me here, TFTC
Super easy find. Was sitting out. Beautiful spot here early in the morning and number 6 for the trip
Crowded with campervans tonight - would've traded with the last one to find this! Waited for everyone to bed down for the night and then a quick find as it was sitting out in the open. Hid it back much better.
I did not feel like i want to stay overnight. There was nobody else. Anyway it is nice with daylight. Tftc.
Didn't take too long to find. Certainly no need to go near the prickles. Picked it up without realising it was the cache. A lovely well kept spot well worth the visit. Quite a few overnighters here as well. TFTC
Despite the comment from the last cacher who couldn't find it, there is no need to enter the blackberry
The entire area is surrounded by thorns - we attempted a search but ended up torn and prickled. I'd suggest moving the location slightly. Lovely spot for campers etc.
Despite the GPS landing us right on the cache we missed the cache on sweeps 1, 2 & 3.
FOUND IT!! with my three nephews, told them we were treasure hunting..... they want to do more with me now, cache was in working order
Quite a clever hide, albeit maybe getting a touch fragile, and possibly vulnerable to yobbos stumbling on an out-of-the-way spot to get drunk. (We cleared a couple of discarded bottles from GZ). Nevertheless a nice spot for a cache beside a great place to launch a kayak for a paddle on the tailrace and shallows of the southern end of the lake. Thanks J & K for bringing us back here.
Just about gave up on this one, when I rechecked the first place I looked, I don't know how I missed it the first time TFTC
good find. Grass around has been cut right back to bushes but cache still safe and sound. left busy bee grabbed in Australia in Lichfield national park. Thanks for cache and a lovely spot for sleepover.
Will bring my Van back and stay on day, Nice place to stop and watch the fishermen , In TB Excess Baggage #3 (New Zealand)
Thanks for bringing us to a wonderful spot. Might have to stay there myself sometime.
Found with minimal difficulty. A few empty trailers around. Strange how many times we've been out on the lake from further up the western side, but never been to this boat ramp.
Took 2 coins and 2 pet rocks.
Left badge, necklace, transformer, paua shell

An easy find - only a few muggles off in the distance to worry about. Left a pet rock - a grey whale. TFTC
Hi, the cache had gone so Buzzgirl and myself have made up a new cache and left it in the same place under the old drum but maybe the next time the owner is "overnighting" it might pay to take cache and drum to a more secluded site nearby. Cheers
Very glad that Size 13 and i went here today, original cache has definitely gone could see exactly where it was supposed to have been..we replaced it with a new cache and i got to log this as a find yay Thanks heaps guys, hopefully no muggles will find it this time (fingers crossed!)
We aren't in a position to check this one right now, but for the next person to search, it is not in the blackberry, it was placed under an old rusty drum, so if this is no longer there then the cache looks like it has gone. Will wait until the next log then we may have to disable it.
Couldn't find it. Meet up with Guy who had found cache a few weeks ago (not logged) and he had relooked and couldn't find it either.
got stick and dug around but no joy

DIdnt find and to be honest with both gps's putting in the blackberry I was happy not to do much searching. I really enjoyed this location-thanks carla
I had a good look for this but had no luck, and wasn't keen to have a feel around.
Found this cache a little while ago but catching up on missed logs due to holidays. TFTC
Jr taybee has this own account how am logging this old find under his new Username (Jr taybee) was log as part of taybee team
If rain can fall, it fall this morning. Wow what a rain all at once.

Good on u christina! Great hidey place too! Niece loved hand made piece of jewelry thank u!!!
tftc, my geobuddy and fellow traveller found this one, there were a few locals around as it was a beautiful day but we just relaxed on the grassy hill and they didnt even hardly look up. took tbs.
Have often been to Tokaanu, but never down to this part. Quite extensive! No swaps, TFTC.
We are traveling through the North Island in our motorhome and stayed over night at this lovely spot. We recommend the Tokaanu Hot Pools - we cooked our selves after dark. Several other motorhomes were enjoying both the POP and the Pools. tftc - a nice straight forward find.
A quick driveby cache, last one for the day before heading off home to Wellington. TFTC TNLNSL (1912)
Arrived before dawn on fishing trip. Too dark then but retrieved easily enough three hours later. Pity I couldn't say the same thing about the fish. TFTC
not very many people around today - and those around were all busy launching their boat
good hide, TFTC

Diverted to find this one while passing on the way back to Wellington today. A quick find, TFTC!
Wet, wet, wet. Then an awesome display of thunder. Sometimes, I wonder what the hell I'm doing outside with horizontal rain, looking for Sistema containers

An obvious hiding spot, but still one of us needed a second look before finding. Nice views. Thanks J 'N' K for the cache.
First for the day for Uppie's family. Attempting to find a good number around Turangi today. TNLN.
The Freezer Mice strike again!!!
Quick stop and quick find on our way to Taupo for the weekend.
Had a few muggles about at the time, but no-one was even remotely concerned with us.
TNLN, TFTC.

Quick a busy spot today with plenty of cars and boats about - however not an issue finding the cache. Cheers Gav [4809]
A quick easy find. There was a mighty splash as we signed the log - someone diving into the lake - Brrrr! TFTC
Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 487. Thanks.
Great spot, nice sunny afternoon, staying at lake for weekend, G-Caching with rellies. TNLN
Havent been out here before. Took note of excellent launching facilities.
Cache found without problem. Thanks
Cache found without problem. Thanks
Nice hide, but easily found once boating muggle left. He took more than 30 minutes to load a small boat on a trailer must have walked around it about 20 times. I'll hate to employ him! TFTC
Thanks for bringing us to this delightful spot, which we have never visited before. A cheeky, fun hide!
I used to fish here alot so knew the area. A quick find on a wet Sunday afternoon with no one else about TFTC
Popped across from 'Tokaanu Steamer'. Spent a while trying to reach under the hiding spot, all the time cursing those with long arms. Then in a moment of inspiration, lifted up the entire hiding spot with one hand!! Retrieved cache with other hand...
