Found this one a while ago, but remembered the camera this time.
I've also read the The Ballard of Les Darcy, and is a very interesting read..

Found as part of the McWinTrexO'n team invasion of the area. Brain cells beats GPS unit, 'read all about it' lucky that synaps still works at least.

This series certainly raised the profile of Les Darcy for me - I had never heard of him before this weekend. We were trying not to be seen searching when BigON wondered out loud whether this one was the one that had become a virtual. After that we read the cache page for the next few! Photos will follow from Rex or BigON, thanks MADSTARS.
Found, though only by virtue of being a temporary virtual. I defer to the BigON mobile phone and caching recording device for pictures of our attendance. Les was news to me, so I was interested to read about him and to explore for the other caches (virtually?) in this series. Thanks MADSTARS.
2216. Looked for a while until we decided to read the cache page. That made the find easy. BigON or RexTrex will post the obligatory posed photos, which should be good.
TFTC and raising the profile of the original little Aussie bleeder.

Pt. Stephens Invasion.3. Knowing there was no container made it easy to set up the photo instead. Thanks.

me thinks he is a bit larger than life here , no log so this a "unofficial virtual" , any ways the whole team did the pose found with Tankengine, Tealby and Sol de lune on our Caching invasion from Canberra.
Nice concept for a virtual - we had fun taking our photos & I have since enjoyed looking at the others that have been posted! TFTC.
Found as part of the Canberra Invasion to Newcastle/Nelsons Bay/Port Stephens and surrounding areas with Tealby, Tankengine and Mtrax. This one was day one and with our over night accommodation at Raymond Terrace, we hit Maitland on the way through.
Thanks MADSTARS for showing us all these interesting areas. We all had fun with this one taking different poses to add to our log. I will need to add mine when I get it from whoever took it. Standby to standby.
Thanks for the fun.

Geokids had great time playing in park. Gave us the perfect opportunity to take a few shots with Les.
What a pose!!! My picture only has my top half, I was on my own so had to do the phone camera at arms length trick.

Again, we got caught out by the old traditional into a virtual trick. For those of us that just turn up at the coords and go hunting it can be a bit frustrating. Photos to follow later today when I get them off my phone. Cheers Gav [4024]
An interesting bit of history. Rediguana will provide evidence of my visit when he logs it

I was up in Maitland visiting my daughter and son-in-law and knew exactly where this one was located as we have been to the fantastic buffet in the East Maitland Bowling Club. I can really recommend it. Unfortunately, Les was roped off today for some maintenance but still managed to strike the pose with him. I'm looking forward to doing the others in this series. TFTC.

This one was easy just went in and took a photo. Cant get to the statue fenced off.
We often have dinner at the club behind this statue, so have seen Les many times. We both had our picture taken with Les. TFTC
Another one of this series down. Didn't take the photo as required but rather took my traditional photo. TFTC.
Found with the geokids. Had a nice little break in the park.
Cheers

Another find in this great series of caches. Round three was the most tiring and needed a long rest after the bell rang. Don't know who had the best pose but the worst should be easy to pick .

There was a fight between the Tablelands Cachers as who would be the best to pose. You will just all have to wait till our camera man returns from out west. Duss.

Found with Ally-Seaching (Geodaughter) while visiting family in the Maitland area.
Very interesting series...
Thanks to Madstars for the cache...
Well I came and had the little park to myself. Knew I was looking for a nano like others around here. But nothing found. There is no nano on the hinted item. It would be a good spot but nothing. I took a photo and have loaded it. If the owner wants me to change it to a DNF I have no problem but if it is not there like the others in this series I feel photo log should be OK. Hasn't been found since late Jan 08. Shifter should change to found as well.
Again we had a good idea of the size of the container we were looking for, however we were unable to find it, after a thorough search. Took a few pictures. Mr Shifter is searching in the background.
Changed to a find on 25/2/09. We also returned and looked again on 16/2/09 unsucessfully.

Found at 12:30 - the fourth of my day's caching around Maitland with Gibbo McCool.
A lovely park and an impressive statue. Luckily this was a quick find because the day was steaming hot, and Gibbo McCool and I were hungry. Over to the nearby fast-food outlet we went, only to discover that it wasn't airconditioned... Les would have toughed it out though, and so did we.
Thanks MADSTARS

Well it took a little longer than first thought. I was knocked out in the first round and tried to make a come back in the second round only to be beaten by points (time). After consulting the referee a return on the third round was a knock out in my favour, logged my find and returned to the ring.

Now I know that there are a couple of different nano type containers. What a beauty.
Took the oportunity to grab this one on the way home after a day shopping in Newy. Our GPSr is in hospital having a screen replacement so the clue was certainly the giveaway for us.
We are looking forward to completing the rest of the rounds. Thanks very much Madstars.

Hi all, sorry for any confusion, I was just really excited to get this series up and running and forgot to proof read my final write-up. I have adjusted the write-up on the "SIX ROUNDS WITH LES DARCY" cache series as some stated "eight" rounds instead of "six". The series was originally going to be "EIGHT ROUNDS WITH LES DARCY" and I do plan on adding another 2 rounds to this series in the future. Thanks to everyone for the feedback on the series. 17:51 Ah, the statue, must have been the centrepiece of at least 3 of my cache finds now Found this one fairly easily compared to the previous one. Thanks for the great series MADSTARS

Thankfully found this one and realised what I'd been missing at Billy Ford's Blacksmith Shop. Decided against going back though and headed out for my last find of the day. Thanks for the cache
Third find this morning, and third FTF!!!!! Found in the likely place, but had to dodge the muggle sitting in her car whilst receiving. Good thing there was a slippery-dip there to obstruct her view. Logged quickly and replaced. TFTC MADSTARS.
found this one with Jimmyg1311
We were doing the Les Darcy caches in order 1 to 6
thought we would pick up 6 FTF's
but to our great surprise
PT pipped us at the post
he must have been doing them in the order 6 to 1
because all the other logs he was FTF
I guess I just missed him here

After an initial DNF while I was taking my own photo for GA0347 and a few muggles getting on my nerves, I thought I would head off for the other caches and try again on the way out. Success this time - 1545.
But with only 3 people here today, almost a third of the page is used up [B)]
CCouldn't fit anything else in here; oh well
