After doing some cache maintenance with kingfisher_au, we decided to check out some archived caches that might still be in place. This one was but a little wet , so we return it the other way around so it didnt catch water. Thanks for the cache.

This is the first of the Les Darcy's we have done. We will hit the rest once they are back on line. Had a family next door watchoing so we had to go for a short walk before grabbing the cache. Loved the hide. Thanks MADSTARS.

Nice quick find before work.TFTC

21-Sep-09
Found as part of the McWinRexOn team, we bailed from the car and walked into the area, the cache place was obvious so we all gathered around and made sure that the assembly hid the hide so that we could log it in peace.
TFTC.

I do believe this was the last of many MADSTARS caches found this weekend. An easy find as we tried not to look too obvious to any of the workers in the garage opposite. Interesting to see the home. You guessed it - found with McPhan, RexTrex and BigON. Thanks MADSTARS for all your caches.

21-Sep-09
The last of our Les Darcy caches and, as Mrs Winglen noted, the last of our MADSTARS caches. I had never heard of M&M containers before (my sheltered life) but I will never forget them again. Thanks MADSTARS for all the effort you have put in to showcasing your home territory.

2221. What, what, what? An actual cache to find? This, to me, seemed to be the most likely to be muggled given the proximity of the mechanics. However there it was in living green.

TFTC and the homely spot.

20-Sep-09
Pt. Stephens Invasion.3. Not many people about on a Sunday afternoon. Its been great to see Les locations around town. Thanks.

18-Sep-09
had to be careful as the shop across the road was not busy so using the Car as a shield got it.
found with Tankengine, Sol de lune and Tealby on our invasion trip to port Stephens
oh our first Madstars cache I believe..

18-Sep-09
Nice quick driveby with no muggles today! Mind you, we apreciated this more, after finding a few more in the series, and we could start to see the whole picture.

Thanks.

On this occasion the cache literally came to us! TFTC.

18-Sep-09
Found as part of the Canberra Invasion to Newcastle/Nelsons Bay/Port Stephens and surrounding areas with Tealby, Tankengine and Mtrax. This one was day one and with our over night accommodation at Raymond Terrace, we hit Maitland on the way through.

1st of many, many, many MADSTARS caches for the weekend. A quick find for one team member while the others checked out what was coming up next. Some interesting looks from across the road, so hopefully all is ok.

Thanks MADSTARS. I know you like reading lots and lots of good logs........so sit down, strap in, and get ready for the avalanche Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin

Geowife hates snakes - thanks.

We are enjoying the Darcy Rounds, pity we didnt go the whole 6 rounds this time, but will be back.

19-Aug-09
Just as I pulled up to this one the nice truck decided to leave and let me have the GZ to myself. That made for an easy find.

I found this one with NG so it was easy. Took me 2 seconds to find but the muggles across the road told us to nick off before we could get a pic

14-Jun-09
had no trouble finding this one, had to wait until the coast was clear which was fairly easy being a sunday. TFTC Smile Signed log, and placed it back.

2nd of three found on bike ride through east maitland. easy find, pity about the state of the location, rather uninspiring.

Aha, a very quick find. Also has the benefit of being able to find a cache if you have to evacuate your work!

Thanks MADSTARS for the cache.

Found this one quite easily. There was a muggle mowing her lawn, but she didn't see nothing !

This is the only Les Darcy cache we've done and it was quite an easy find with the clue. Suspect there was another cacher just departing when we arrived as we saw someone with a GPS sitting nearby. TNLNSL TFTC

Nice home here for Les. Thanks Madstars

Managed to avoid the local truck drivers eyes by pulling up infront of the cache location and putting up the bonnet for cover.
Thanks Madstars.

28-Dec-08
Found at 13:05 - the fifth of my day's caching around Maitland with Gibbo McCool.

We were over halfway through the Les Darcy series now.

Felt rather exposed out here, and the passing traffic was heavy. However, I think we found and replaced the cache leaving the muggles none-the-wiser.

Thanks MADSTARS Big Grin

08-Nov-08
Nice and easy find as I used to work in the the building across the way a couple of years ago.

Took the oportunity to grab this one on the way home after a day shopping in Newy. Our GPSr is in hospital having a screen replacement so the clue was certainly the giveaway for us.

A bit late logging the entry but found this one OK last weekend. Had to use the clue as trusty etrex was not-so-trusty today, pointing to a location 20 metres away.
Who can understand the way these things work? Not a cloud in the sky, clear open view, 11m accuracy?!?!? I mean really....

Thanks for the hunt.

09-Oct-08
yes it is still there but i hope you like spider's

Hi all, sorry for any confusion, I was just really excited to get this series up and running and forgot to proof read my final write-up. I have adjusted the write-up on the "SIX ROUNDS WITH LES DARCY" cache series as some stated "eight" rounds instead of "six". The series was originally going to be "EIGHT ROUNDS WITH LES DARCY" and I do plan on adding another 2 rounds to this series in the future. Thanks to everyone for the feedback on the series. 17:28 Blessed to be able to park close to GZ this afternoon though it was pretty muddy underfoot, and a few slugs tried to hitch a ride with me too. TNLNSL, though it was a struggle to get it all back in the container nicely Smile Passed by the house too...

Fourth FTF of four finds for the day, can't beat that. A quick find after getting the geowife to pull up. Nice and quiet on a Sunday morning around here. Thanks MADSTARS for the new caches in Maitland.

1400 Well I'm glad I'm not Fattyacid, being pipped at the post by 7 minutes. Left a snake for someone else to have fun with. Brought through the Bridge2Bridge Travel Ingot.
Thanks for the series.
Now I just have to come back for the dozens of others in the area.
