#8294After 5km or so walking for a nearby trail, we limped into Tuggerah for lunch and an errand, then decided on a car-based afternoon. A major smash on the M1 has the highway completely closed in both directions, and any road nearby is a carpark with diverted traffic. Let's go bush!Quick find here. I was a bit disappointed there wasn't a trig up here though! TFTC!
#8294After mowing the lawn this morning, its time for some caching. Decided to hit this new series for a nice walk and a bunch more T3s for the stats! Beautiful day for a walk, not too hot, but nice and sunny. end of copy paste Were done our walk now, and to avoid the massive highway accident weve come in here for some oldies.Bit of water in the container, but log dry. TNLN SLThanks for placing and maintaining this cache Shifter Brains
I've been meaning to grab this one for ages. Now that the roads have dried out, I took a detour on the way home and made a quick find.
Took a day off work today for mental health thought I would get out on the bike and have a ride.
Checked the app in-between rides and what do no I’m parked no more than 20mts away from this cache.
Cache is dry and in good condition TFTC

Found it on my birthday.
Left some goodies, took nothing, emptied out a dribble of water.
Thank you!

We are going for a drive through the state forest because... why not. Finally decided to grab a few of the caches along this road.
The local mountain biking group is certainly putting some effort into these tracks. There are some fancy new signs at the trailheads that weren't here last time we were up this way.
We got a bit confused and searched in the wrong spot for a bit before finally deciding to trust our GPS. We found the cache but at the cost of a number of minor injuries from the spiky plants.
Thanks for the cache!

Due to work and family commitments, and the weather we have been unable to check this cache. If should be done by the end of November.
We will be going out to check and maintain this cache in the next couple of weeks.
To help stop the spread of COVID-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to STAY AT HOME unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard geocaching as a form of exercise, we feel that this activity is NON-ESSENTIAL, perhaps involving unnecessary travel and therefore should not be undertaken during this time of crisis.
Who knows how long this current lockdown will last! Right now, every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of COVID-19, by STAYING HOME. Unfortunately, the situation is not improving and there have been an increase in the number of finds on our caches.
As a result of the health authority’s directive, we have decided to disable this cache and respectfully request that you do not seek out and claim a find whilst this cache is disabled. If you do log a find it WILL be DELETED.
Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to bringing our caches back into play after the restrictions are lifter.

In the area to check out the MTB tracks, the Ez boys saw the “downhill” sign so we headed up for a look. Realised there was a cache nearby so we stopped and grabbed it. Cache was out in the open so was an easy find. Covered it up a bit better for longevity. TFTC. A very busy area today with the sun shining.
Found with shaneo58 doing some around Mangrove Mountain, coming down from Newcasle/Lake Macquarie in the morning, getting up near the 20's deg later in the day. On the way home, The coords kept changing, probably due to the power near here, GZ was about 10 meters off. This is the 4th cache of 4 for today. Log signed and caches replaced as found. Thanks For The Cache Shifter Brains

Lots of trail bikes to dodge! Found with Taylapearce3, GeoJess and the Mad-Dawg. TFTC!
Found with Beary_Unicorns on a very warm Saturday morning. Picked up two TBs to move further along on their travels. Visited TBs, TFTC
Gee mountain bikers are an arrogant breed. Took a couple of minutes to find. Some signs of moisture in cache. Dropped 2 trackables. Would have been a good spot for a fire tower. Tftc tn.
Found by myself! After parting ways with Mighty Minions, I headed out to this cache alone. I do not remember how to do this by myself anymore. Eventually after walking in circles, swearing and ricking though the dirt I found the cache in an obvious spot, a little away from my circle of footprints. Finally! The log was moist and hard to sign.
Thanks for the cache!

Okay, one of the wishes for the end of 2016 has been achieved, now to see if I will be able to make 4,000 'cache' finds by the end of the year. With this one, it will be 'just' x 20 to go!
The track was a bit rough in places, but I may have come route from an unusual direction. The Nissan Dualis was able to get there tho! Parked beside GZ, and within a minute I had the cache.
Found @ 0240, GAFF1, dry and intact. Good coordinates, and was able to leave a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen.
Will add a bookmark for the Night Caching Elective #6, and I think I have picked up a Favourite point with caches found this Christmas morning, so will leave here.
Through for mileage: 12-12-12 Multi Event - Auckland, New Zealand; 15 Years of Geocaching 2000-2015 Geocoin; 2014 Geocaching NSW geocoin; 3.1415 Pi & Ice Cream Slice; 3Brothers-NSW; Auckland NZ '13; Bridge2Bridge Travel Ingot; Cache Critters - Baa, Neigh, & Oink Geocoins; CII-35Z; CITO - Upper Swan, and Beyond; Discover Me & Animals: GCookie; Flash Mob XII GCookie Geocoin; G Cookie Earth Cache 10 Year Celebration Coin; GCookie FIZZY coin; Geo-NSW 2015 Waymarks coin; GeoNSW 2016 Geocoin; Hello Cocky TB; IconicBridges2012; Kengu; NZ Mega 13; NZ Mega 2013 Spare Key; NZ Mega Auckland 2013 Signature Trackable; Oz Mega 2014 GCookie; Qld Mega 2015 GCookie coin; Raunchy Rhino; Spindoc Bob & Friends Coin; Suzie@2431; and Transaustralia.

The bush was quiet here today, perhaps too quiet?... The Jazz mobile lapped up the rough trail, and I soon had CIH, thanks.
Thank you so much, third one for today, took some pirate booty and left a treasure.
Easy find when you follow the coordinates. First time finding ones for our friends with us
After finding the Wizzzard's Watchtower, I decided to seek a different tower. The road across from where I was on Red Hill Road didn't look passable in my Corolla so I set out on foot for the 500m hike to GZ, only to discover a couple of hundred metres in that it joined onto a much more substantial track. Doh!
As I approached the tower, my heart sank as I saw a technician's van parked at the base of it. Fortunately the cache is well back from the tower so I was able to conduct my search without fear of being watched, and soon spied the hiding place.
Grabbed the Big E's TB before leaving. Thanks for an enjoyable hide.

A fun adventure today, through yarramalong and cedar brush creek, and looping back through kulnura and jilliby state forest. 30 or so caches and lots of fun in the 4WD. Not a bad effort with 2 kids in the back (3 and 1).
A quick find. Sadly kids were fading at this point and it was time to head for home. TFTC TNLN

Co-ords are good, not too hard to find. Walked up to the tower thinking there might be some views, but not so much. Sat and had some lunch in the 'picnic area' behind the tower, well there's somewhere to sit at least. Awesome tower, and good to see solar power used (at least I assume that's what the big panel is).
Took nothing, left a glow-in-the-dark bat and a keychain, signed log. Thanks for the cache Shifter Brains!

Plenty of bike riders today. Had to wait to calm down a bit to get to the cache. Thanks Shifter Brains

Out on a geo-mission of sorts with Opa-Shrek today, with this cache in our sights. We pulled up at GZ making friends with a bunch of dogs pleased to see our presence and their owners trying to wrangle them into line. One of the dogs was clearly wanting to be a geodawg as he bounded about the bushes near GZ. When they continued on we went about our business and had the cache soon in hand. Thanks much for the fun!
I headed into Ourimbah State Forest with Mumma-Kel this morning chasing a TB that was in this cache ... I needed it in order to be able to solve a particular puzzle cache that has eluded me for months. As we pulled up with the tower in sight, we were surprised to be greeted by a mob of excited dogs out for a run in the forest with their mistresses ... one of them must have been a geo-dog, trained by jfindit, because he headed straight off into the bush towards GZ in search of the cache ... and got pretty close too! Once the ladies and their dogs moved on, we were able to make the find about 10m from where our GPS units were directing us ... and there I eagerly took control of the Grendl TB while Mumma-Kel did what had to be done.
Thanks for the cache and for bringing us into Ourimbah State Forest, Shifter ... I really enjoyed the drive from Yarramalong Rd to Palmdale Rd, although in the wet it proved to be a bit hairy on the downhill run at the Palmdale end, where the clay road base had turned to mud.

Been in this area before on the MTB..
Pity the Co-Ords are slightly out.. But after a few passes with the Etrex30, and a LOT of Scratches, we soon had CIH.
Another Shifter Brains find.
Thanks Shifter Brains..

Found. Took a key ring and trackable. Left hot wheels and lots of other small goodies for the next person.
Our last day here so picking up a few we have missed. Going a bit further than expected. All dry.

I was in the area to look for another cache but after spending about an hour walking up and down the forest road I could not find the way in so Towered Over was the next closest. Drove to GZ and after a short walk made the find. Lots of small swaps, left metal badge TN SL and returned cache as found. It has been a long time since I have found a Shifter Brains cache and this one was in a good area. TFTC.
Looked and looked, finally we called it quits and stood around looking glum, when our dog started keenly snuffling right at our feet. Found it! Good job dog.
Find #1531 - 4 for today. Found on 12/07/2014 5:10 pm
Nice and quick one. Thanks. TNSLLN

Finally got a day out with mate auszxplorer06 to do some caching, as life had been getting in the way...... The day started off beautifully, the sun was out and it was warming up after the terrible weather we had been having...... But then sure enough, the day went south and it got cold and rainy again..... Didn't stop us though as we managed to push thru the wetness for a geocache day fit for a queen(s bday)
