I have had this cache on my to-do list for a while. I had attempted it halfheartedly in the past but could never find the start of the track (despite the coordinates being on the cache page haha). Took me longer than it should have to find the cache too especially considering the GPS was perfectly accurate - I guess I was just expecting more of a landmark. Nice little track, I wanted to keep going up to see where it went but I still had to do Possum Hut so came back down. TFTC!
I needed a nice walk to fill up some of my other senses not involving staring into a screen or touching keys/mice... I don't think I have ever been up this way! And it looked like not many other people have!! Made it into a nice long afternoon/evening outing of several hours to the top and back, almost getting blown off in parts towards the top, and getting caught by some odd raindrops returning to the car. A bit muddy so I slipped around a little, and had to slow down to keep my ankle happy. Amazing feeling when the senses have been filled up!! Thank you for a great cache!!!

Nearly had Me beat. Log a bit dampish. Replaced cache vertically. Tnln. HOTA
A beauty of a day for a nice walk up a hill. Good going mostly and the track is always plain to see.
Used Katie's seat even though it was damp. , the cache was easily found and in good nick.
Then carried on up and up for another walker's cache.
Left a Yoga to Go kit (Wee book and flash cards showing Yoga positions, for that after walk stretch maybe? )

A warm winters day and we headed up a track I had never been on before, with the hope of grabbing a cache or two being a nice bonus. This is a rarely visited cache (because it's off the usual beaten track?). Track in good condition, looks like it has had some recent maintenance (last six months). Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Didn't sit on katie's seat as the mossy covering was a bit damp. We continued on up the hill, making a round trip. Found with debsnz
Easy find on this mornings geo run. The track is a little overgrown at the moment with all of the rapid summer growth.
Thanks
Thanks
Checked the map on the GPS and took what looked like the shorter path to the start of the trail. Had actually walked about 30 m past the loop track before realising we had missed it. The shorter route quickly looked like it may not be the best choice as the the path kept disappearing. Perservered and with some bush bashing it kept reappearing. The trail up the the cache was easier in many ways, and we will need to come back here to find out where come out. Had to get back home for a sleep this time.
Took the 'longer' part of the loop track back and it was much quicker. Kia ora for the cache and the trip katie w.

Over a year between finds? Come on people! Leave those urban drive by's alone and head for he hills.
All is in order and the log is dry.

Found this one on our way down after locating "Davies' Locker'. Good seat Katie. Our last cache on todays circular route via Old Moon Rd, Nichols, Pineapple and Davies tracks. 12km 5.25hrs and 7 caches. TFTC
After finding Katie's Nightmare on our second attempt, we rashly headed cross country towards this cache, which ultimately probably took longer than if we had gone back down and up the tracks. Coming out on Davies Track a bit higher than this cache, we headed up to Davies' Locker, before coming back down the muddy slippery track to this one, which didn't take too long to find, although the location certainly wasn't obvious to us. Our sixth and final cache of our successful day up on the slopes of Flagstaff. TFTC

Found it at 10:32, my 3rd of 5 finds today, and my 694th find.
Found along with Possum Hunt and Old Pineapple, an enjoyable squlech around in the mud this morning.
TFTC katie w!

Went up the hill on a maintenance visit. Dried out the cache, put in new baggy for items, sachet of silica gel in with the log book and dropped off TB Cannonball run
Had just completed A Problematic Gap and, having not cached for a few days, felt the urge to get another one done. Decided to start with a cache in my next area of concentration - this one! Not knowing the area I thought I would pop in an get a slightly better handle on hit before coming back for more (got to scout out kid friendly places!). Enjoyed the stroll up to this one and the excellent views. The cache was not too hard to find. It did have a little water in it, which I duly disposed of, but the log book is just starting to get a little damp. Should be fine for a while yet. Made sure lid was back on properly. TFTC and the nice walk!
McGouns track and entry up McGouns road closed from today until the 11th May due to logging activity. Cache is still available with entry and exit only from the west via the Skyline walkway and Davies track.
Replaced the 350ml container with a 2l bucket, and put in a pen and another toy.Note the updated hint.
Grabbed this one after doing Davies' Locker and on my way to another shot at Possum Hunt. Actually overshot it, fortunately not by much, and had to retrace my steps.
I suspect that the cache is not in its original hiding place, as I found it _on_ the ground and not where the clue indicated it should be. Not being quite sure where that was, I replaced it where I found it.
TNLN. TFTC.

Bush-bashed straight from the final of 'Possum Hunt', that didn't take long, and as it turns out it was the easy part. Spent over an hour looking for the cache, searched the place inside out, but no luck. I need a hint!

Nice little climb for very unfit legs. Didn't have too much trouble finding it. The GPS homed in very nicely. I didn't even realise this track existed until the new Tracks and Trails book came out. Thanks very much for the cache.
Nicely placed, just where you're going to stop to rest as the Davies track enters the bush. Young Adam C. sprinted off with the GPS and was rummaging round GZ when the rest of us arrived. But we adults were carrying the hint about the seat and the gardening implement, and we appreciate puns as the lowest form of wit, so we found the cache before him. Beautiful day for a walk.
A bit of a hunt around GZ before finding it.
Nice exercise cache. Thanks and cheers.

Second time lucky, last time spent most of the time looking on the wrong side of the track, enjoyed the walk.
Thanks

Our visit to the “hill†ended the way it started with a “didn’t find itâ€, looked high and low but no luck.
I see the hint and description have been changed so maybe better luck next time.
We all walked up this track or one very near to here quite a few years ago before the trees were felled so its good to be back,
Thanks
PS We had originally planned to go to this cache and then up the not very often used track/route onto the Pineapple Track but decided to look for the caches in the reverse order and go down the track instead!
NOT a good idea!
Hadn’t been on the track for quite a few years and had trouble finding it (to be truthful we never did find it until we got to the cache coordinates) so we ended up “bush bashing†for about a kilometre, the 100 metre slide on my back side down a steep muddy bit was quite good fun, but not the prickly bits (all our legs and arms looked like they have been assaulted by a cheese grater), aha the joys of caching.

Forget the plough, think more in the direction of home gardening tools. I have altered the hint to make the cache easier to find.
I actually found one today!!!!! mind you the hint again was a very random. took nearly 10 minutes to find, had abit of water in the cache.
Maybe that's what cache names means.... cache filled with water.
Interesting walk though.

Made a right mess of this. Tried to go "as the llama spits" from Overnight on Pineapple Point. That green stuff is a lot harder going than it looks on the GPS screen . Eventually gave up and acknowledged I'd have to go down and then back up again, did so and found the cache pretty quickly. Thanks.
"....like a walk in the rain" seems appropriate today, but got soaked by wet vegetation more than the rain and mist, which cleared to a sunny evening by the time I got home. I confess that I had to google to get that lyric but when I clicked on the link to play the song I realised that it was one of the cursed tunes that I had to play during my 8 years of tortuous keyboad lessons - sounds much better with words and me NOT playing it - odd that the last 2 caches I've done should bring those memories flooding back.
Basically had the same experience as timgrin with regard to a longish search (maybe 20 minutes) and found with the hands and knees approach.
Plough has 6 letters and my imagination didn't help much on the hint...
TFTC - another nice walk in the hills.

[Tracked up to this one to find on the way out of the Pineapple Track via McGouns.
Not sure I can recall the song UNCLE refers to - so didn't really get the title of the cache. Searched for 30-40 mins for this one in a rather intensive fashion without any luck. Hint meant nothing to me ] - nearby tree trunk looked like a plough if you were on special medication maybe....[. Only on a hands and knees approach did I find it.
GPSr (GPS60csx) was within 3 metres in the end.
TFTC - and the steep climb up a track I never would have found without geocaching.

FTF. "You fill up my senses....like a night in the forest". Great view in the daylight and guess it would be a good view of the city lights at night too. There will be a whole generation of cachers who come looking for this that will have no idea of the song . 20-25 mins from where I left the car on Booth Rd at a steady walk. Missed the entrance to the stepping stones but soon realised. Co-ords bang on and a quick find. Thanks for another cache at an interesting spot on a track I didn't know about. Thanks also for the FTF prize. Will be put to good use.
