The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. Guys this is crazy. The hard work put into building this memorial is being undone by cachers following the clue, even though the cache is no where near the spot mentioned in the clue. We found it by going way back in the logs and finding some very specific hints.
Cache owner has not logged on for over two years so I would suggest the only way to stop cachers wrecking the place is to archive it??
In the meantime, DO NOT PULL UP ANY MORE PAVERS PLEASE.

#226 on a day that started off well but soon went south. This was the way day 49 of the caching odyssey ended 1 visit to bug exchange 26 found and 7 did not finds. All in all not to bad a day all things considered. This was 9/26.
The military during the war had many places that are no longer. This is another of the many areas that once owned by the military no never can be again and to loose so many places it is such a shame for the military in general. To see history preserved as it has been in Cowra is so fantastic and respectful of the history unlike the efforts in Melbourne were the old ADI facility was turned into housing estates and no previous recognition was ever made this will be a history forgotten without efforts like the wonderful people of Cowra and they way in which the respect history. So many other places to find out about while the modern society just wants a new house in the new estate and never remember those that made the country what it is today.
Thanks szandor for some great history and a wonderful little cache hide. The log was a little wet and only had one bag left so put it around the cache to protect it and then in the bag it was in however will need to be replaced.

Spent a bit of time reading all about the Camps around the area. Interesting history.
A few cars went past, but then I got a break and quickly found the cache.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found this on a Wet Cold day on the way north to meet up with a muggle friend, today is the day to induct him to caching TNLN SL TFTC
Lovely sunny day to do caching today...took us a while before Ms Bushies2 finally found it...the plastic bag cover was worn out so we replaced it with a zip lock plastic bag. Thanks szandor.
This was the last find for our girls on our families first day cacahing, and haha the mummy found it first.
Found at 9.15am on Anzac day,
Hard to imagine what the area looked like all those years ago,
Cache found easily by not lifting any pavers.

On a weekend trip to Cowra and Forbes with fitzy_1965 and Awesome L.
Really interesting history for this area. Sneaky hide, took us a couple of minutes to find.

Quick find for dogwalk and myself. Need to head home now after waterskiing and camping. TFTC
12:36pm
This too WAY too long. It needs to be made perfectly clear, no actual pavers need to be disturbed.

This took quit a while to find.
Looks like others have been disturbing the pavers.
As noted in Webguys log - you don't need to disturb any pavers.
Cache was a little damp and "manky".
Thanks.

This one took longer to find then we would have liked. Mainly because we didn't like the idea of turning over all the loose pavers, which it looks had been done before us.
Cache was found. It was damp and manky, log was signed.
Great location, shame about the cache placement.

Another sneaky hide - again without the clue this might have been a DNF.Neat challenege.

Geo_Lightly was suffering from the heat, and needed a mother look. Geo_Lightly was ready to give up, when I saved the day. What a team. TFTC
De Ja Vu and I had a quick look, but no luck, but as I was walking back to the car, De Ja Vu had found the cache.

First place i looked. But a clever hide, you'd never know it was there unless you were looking. So much history around Cowra, its great the council have done so much work to make it known. TFTC.
Found with Albida's group just before lunch at Cowra. Interesting history, must have a look here again when not in a hurry. Thanks.
Was in town visiting my parents for a family gathering and this one is not far away. I took the whole geofamily to this one and they are amazed theres a little package hidden here. I'm still blown away too at how many geocaches are hidden around the place! Thanks for the cache.
Im the better half of wbfoto My name is not on the log as I decided to get my own user account after we returned from this site.
only our second one. was to easy after reading log notes and viewing gallery. wont be doing that beforehand again. only discovered geocaching yesterday and found my second one right beside the road in a spot I have been driving past every week for years.
Another good location spoiled by an inappropriate hide. It was under a broken piece of the concrete edging of the paving. Not under a paver. The poor paving edge shows the wear and tear of heaps of cachers turning them over. Just look under a piece of the broken concrete edging half way along the LH border looking at the paddock.

Another interesting site that is part of our military history, thanks for bringing me here.
Found without difficulty, but the thing covering the cache had spider nests, the outer layer of the cache was wet and grubby and smelly, and the cache itself was damp inside.
I thing perhaps something else as a container might be better?
Thanks for the cache, and the interesting information here.

On my arrival I was looking for a micro but then I noticed it was a small cache which made me take a different tactic but after a minute or two found the GZ all good thanks for the visit not been here before, found on my return trip home.
Found with a bit of difficulty. Please do not disturb any of the bricks but look along the edge. Put in jpgordo 250 finds FTFT
Found by Mary & David at 1140. Another interesting historical site that caching has shown us. We loved the details, plans, maps and photos. Our thanks once more to Szandor.
Nothing under the tile & then I jumped down & had a look in the gap in the logs & nothing there. To many locals & to hot to hang around. Thanks.
A very interesting military history Cowra has.
thanks for leading us around it.
Again for other caches don't lift up the normal paving stones you'll just wreck the place for no reason.

As it has previously been mention, the outer plastic bag is pretty feral. Hoojar and I didn't have a replacement otherwise we would have used it.
Hoojar went straight to the site. Cheers.

Nice easy find with GeoTeen on a cold blustery day. Have passed by here many times without realising that there is a cache tucked away here. However, now we have claimed it and learnt a bit more about this fascinating area. TFTC
Fairly quick find, but the plastic bag covering the cache was a little erky - I didn't want to remove it though, because the container would not be waterproof. I am a little concerned that cachers may be lifting the paving stones to search - it is not under any of the pavers that are meant to be there.
TFTC - an interesting spot & if it weren't for the signs, there would be nothing to indicate the past life of this area.

Nice easy find once the lawnmower man decided to leave! Interesting spot, thanks again Szandor!
Found at 10.00am.
Nice spot for a cache.
Took canadian 1c coin.
Replaced with compass ( to help you find your way)

GZ was in much better condition today than last time i was here. Found the cache straight away and signed the log. Another one off the DNF list.

Nice little cache. My geosister was on the hunt with me and found it. Placed koala TB in.
Yes, I have to agree with RexTrex and even with McPhan - it was something to behold that McPhan walked straight up, moved one piece of ...and had the cache! At this late stage of the day a quick was a good find (well, any find is a good find ) TFTC! Left coin.
I have to say that even after three days of caching with McPhan, it was a bit of a stunner when he just walked up and revealed the cache at the first place he looked. Terrible really. Gave him gloating rights!
Thanks for the local history szandor.

1953. Enos the caching god was with me on this find as I wlaked up and found the cache with my first action. Finally my companions can see my brilliance. It's only after a shared 100 or so caches and only 25W so not really brilliant more like a dull glow but hey, I did it.

This was the last one of the day - 12??? for the day.
Took a minute to uncover the right spot, but a fairly easy one to find.
Container was just the right size to place the Ruby GeoGem in - bon voyage!

No luck here with this one today. Saw a few potential spots but without destroying the area by pulling away bricks and tiles, I left it.
Interesting spot though.

I was aware of the prisin camp, but not of the training camp. Everything put back as found. Thanks.

on our way back home from a nice holiday to the coast, we stopped off and found the below at the gz. We're not impressed! We need to take care of our cache location guys!!!! If you are going to do a cache, PUT EVERYTHING BACK! this is the second time l've repaired the location! If we can't take care of this gz, We'll have no choice but to shut it, perhaps all of ours, down. Please don't spoil it for the rest of us.
[An interesting and worthwhile location for a cache but I was disappointed to see the overturned pavers from what I can only assume is other cachers looking for the cache.] Maybe a more descriptive hint will prevent any more damage to the area by people looking for it.
[Thanks for showing where this site is and will try again next time I'm in town.]

Nice and easy by torchlight. The clue had us a bit troubled (as it has other cachers by the looks) as there were a few pavers overturned.
A big thanks to Szandor for showing us some of the other area's of Cowra as we just thought there was the POW camp etc on the North side of town. Hope to see more caches around the area in the future.

This was a little trickier than I thought but still under 5 minutes, another interesting spot we would have never have stopped without caching ! Thanx
Found in the company of Rhondle and Sandalrock at 1430. Another interesting place in my old home town. Thanks Szandor.
Last one of the day. Released Army Man 092 who traveled with us from Canada; this seemed like a suitable location. TFTH!
Found it with out telling Mrs Derf. Went and sat in the car and did the paper work
. On my return asked the question Have you found it ? well all my hard work stopping and letting her out for photos has all been undone
Mind you the farmers dog looked tuckered out as chasing tractors is hard work after all
L Dice
T Wine bottle stopper ....might come in handy when I am in the dog house later.

Found it! As I drove up to this one I noticed that the country side was very similar to Singleton Military Training Area. (I spent a lot of time there back in the day.) Got to GZ and had a bit of a poke around. Thought I could see it from the car but that spot was empty. After about 5 the good lady wife joined the hunt and put her hand straight on it, her first FTF. Nicely done with the cache container, I have not seen one of those used as a cache container before. Took geocoin and the key ring. left a bottle stopper and a small chain. SL at 12:30 TFTC. Hope to see more down this way soon. Cheer
