As a retired engineer, I've had a fair bit of experience with matrices over the years, so when one of my caching friends asked for help with this puzzle I was happy to oblige. One of our lecturers at uni could invert 3x3 matrices in his head but that was a skill I never acquired so it took a little bit of working out using more conventional methods.Anyway, after seeing where the cache was, I thought it'd make a fun day out so I took the train down from the Central Coast to Epping then the metro to North Ryde. From there, I headed down to Richardson Place and used the link track to the GNW then under, over and under the Epping Road/M2 bridge to get onto the right side of the river. All up, the walk from the station to GZ took about half an hour.Once at GZ and after getting onto the correct level, made a bit tricky by a fallen tree, I immediately spotted a likely hiding place which turned out to be correct. The cache and contents are in good condition. While I don't need the nerdy glasses to be readily identified as such, I took a photo with them on. Many thanks for the fun puzzle and hide.
With my daughter taking to her bed again this morning, I decided to find a couple of specific caches. This was the first & I had originally planned to look for it yesterday, but my travails finding Australia's first meant I ran out of time. I solved this puzzle as part of *Master of Mystery - Copenhagen* which I found in August 2019, so it has been solved for a long time. I seem to remember enlisting some online assistance with the solve as I am not a mathematician. I needed a *Regular* cache today to fill a gap on my calendar, so decided on a second attempt.Today I caught a bus from the City & soon arrived at Mowbray Park to begin my walk. It was very pleasant under the trees with just a couple of short muddy sections to negotiate & the metres were soon counting down. There seemed to be a sensible place to search & so I carefully made my way down to it. Caching in the bush here certainly has an added element of danger & I kept my eyes open for anything venomous. I realise that it's not that dangerous if you're sensible, but I'm used to stinging nettles being the most dangerous thing that you encounter!Once in position, I quickly uncovered the good sized cache & happily signed in. After taking a selfie with the nerd glasses on, I dropped off two trackables before replacing everything carefully as found. Found at 11:24Cache #10324TFTC geomatica
What are you trying to tell me? That I can dodge caches? No. Im trying to tell you when you are ready, you wont have to.What an awesome puzzle and cache hide. Thanks for putting in so much effort to bring this one to life.Ill admit I had to enlist a mates more mathematically gifted boys to solve (thanks LC & NC!)though got there in the end to claim the cache.Great location, nerd glasses an awesome touch. TFTC!
Mrs E has been working on MoMs for some time. We were in the area for Lane Cove so it seemed silly to pass this one by. Mr E had actually done the work on this as his maths is better and far less rusty! Quite an adventure...a lovely bush path from the parking, a family of three brush turkeys met en route and then a bit of a clamber when we read a few logs and saw a spoiler pic and realised when the cache probably was. It was! Mr E went in with helpful directions to the hide from Mrs E. Signed, replaced as found then a few photos, including the impressive (but thankfully unoccupied) beehive nearby. An all round very satisfying find!
We enjoyed solving the puzzle - took us back a few years. Amazing we still remember this stuff. Today we came to find the cache. Parked at the end of Avro and joined the track there. What a beautiful piece of bushland this is - so peaceful (except for when the planes roar overhead). Finding the cache was real fun. Took our pics with the nerd glasses. Then we sat and enjoyed the serenity. Thank you for the puzzle, fun and showing us this location. Favourite Point from us.
TEMBO! and I visited "The Matrix". The solution was not easy. After several attemts, the solution was found. On GZ it was much easyer for us.Thanks to geomatica for hiding and maintaining the cache.T4TC Filser1
This is quite a cache - involving learning new concepts (or relearning old forgotten ones!), a lovely bushland walk and a great spot in which to find a cache. T4TC
I'd solved the mystery part several years ago. So long ago, that I don't even remember doing it, but I still had the notes and they look alien to me know.
Anyway, today I had my sights set on making the grab, so we made our way to North Ryde metro station and started our walk from there to Chatswood, via this and a few other caches.
The cache here was quickly found and the glasses donned as part of signing duties. Thanks for the mystery and the fun!

Solved as part of Master of Mystery #4 - STOCKHOLM & Copenhagen - thanks for a nice little puzzle - hopefully we'll be able to retrieve the cache itself one day

Spending a long weekend in Sydney catching up with an old friend from Germany who is here on business. My last visit to Sydney was 25 years ago which was before geocaching so lots of geocaches to keep me entertained.
Glorious weather and lots of good quality caches.
I solved this puzzle many years ago while working on the Master of Mystery München cache. All of these years later I am here to collect the find.
A favourite point from me.
Thanks for the cache geomatica.

My 100th find! I very much enjoyed putting my linear algebra skills to use. Once I reached the GZ, I looked around in the wrong area for a little while because the coordinates were off by a few metres (looking through the logbook, I found at least one other person who had noticed this). The bees seem to have left the area. TFTC!
Vielen Dank fr das Legen und Pflegen des Caches sowie fr das weitere ?? auf unserer GC-Karte.
OCW discobob3 this afternoon and we were first looking for sticks and stones but after not coming up with the goods we headed in for some matrix. It was discovered in great condition in a very pretty spot. Love the lane cove river and these walking trails nearby. TFTC!
Solved this many months ago but had not gone to find. Haven't done this kind of maths for a long long time, but a quick look up of the logic to apply and the numbers came out easily. Off to find today after working at home with jennyfromthefarm. Originally, just walking along the track from another cache, we found ourselves on the wrong level. We then worked out where we must be. Nice location and cache found with ease.
Beautiful view! I quickly found the cache with some help from previous finders. Am very proud to have found this cache. Might be the last one I find on my trip to Australia.
I wanted to take some selfies with the nerd specs but had to quickly hide the cache since my mum (whom I've now introduced to geocaching with this cache) spotted some 2 massive beehives nearby! At the exact cache locations.
2 or 3 curious bees actually came down and buzzed around us signalling for us to put it back and dash! Especially since I once landed in the hospital for 2 weeks with kidneys on the verge of failure after being swarmed by bees about 11 years ago.
Please exercise caution when you are here! If hives are still there, stay silent, move slowly, and if the swarm is out, cover your ears and face, crawl onto the ground into a ball and don't move. And don't kill any bee.
Thanks for the cache! And please do visit our caches in Malaysia too!

Solved as #R of my very first MoM project (#3 CPH).
I found a solver tool that works with letters instead of numbers. So I had to manage some transformation and all went well.

Our maths wizz cracked this one so glad we could find it for her. Nice place for a walk. TFTC
Working out the new waypoints took a long time! It is many, many years since I've done any matrices! This made us determined to find the cache despite the long walk in - not too hard on a beautiful winters day! TFTC
TFTC It makes it much easier to have a maths person in our group to solve the problem
Solved this one a long time ago but hadn't got to the area to go look for it. Having been nearby to look for a few caches this one made it, Parked nearby and a nice walk in a dampish day soon got to GZ then the search began. realised straight away I was on the wrong level so found a way down taking card of my knee, which has been playing up, Soon spotted the cache.
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache geomatica
Grabbed the TB to move on

thank you, I had math in college and know my matrixes, the hard was to understand the problem

Very excited to have found this one. I am a nerd but, a word nerd so solving the puzzle was a challenge. Having done so I had to ignore the weather (rain) and get out to make the find. Bumped my head once or twice but I know the area so the cache was soon in hand. TFTC!

It must have been at least two years ago that I solved this great mathematical puzzle. I used to do a lot of matrix calculations during my engineering study, so it was a trip down memory lane. But in the old days there was no Internet and all calculations had to be done by hand.
The cache location I have passed many times on my way to the City, and the little blue jig-saw piece on my geocaching-app screen kept bugging me. As if it was saying "Come and find me".
So today it was time to go in and find the cache. Expecting an easy walk, Eagle Eyed Monkey Girl wore her suede shoes, which was quite smart considering it rained overnight and early morning. Lucky for me, the short walk from the carpark to the cache was not too muddy, so I did not have to carry the Monkey.
Ground zero is truly an awesome place. This is what always amazes me in Sydney...quiet bushland in the middle of a busy suburbs. We started the search and it was Eagle Eyed Monkey Girl who found the cache and after signing duties she replaced the cache as found.
We spend a bit more time at a nearby rock ledge to take in the views across the Lane Cove river. A lone rower in a skiff made ripples in the water, the birds were singing as the daylight slowly faded away. We promised each other to come back soon to explore the bush track and (of course) find some of the other caches in the area.
Worth a favourite point for both puzzle and location!

Hoping to be our first premium fond but sadly wasn't. We think we were v close.
Howdy from Dallas, Texas
This was one of the many caches that we had solved for this trip. We parked on Avro Cresent for the prettier walk and were not disappointed.
This trip was planned some time ago but we kept running into issues. So when a business trip to Asia came up I decided that an unconventional route and an extended stop-over were in order as opposed to waiting for the stars to align on a pleasure trip.
Our 2020 goals are to find all the year 2000 caches and complete 6 original FIZZY loops (loops with caches placed before April 6, 2007). No one in the world has done the latter. Only one person is at 4 loops, LISDOWNEY from Ontario, Canada. So, of course, Lane Cove and Geocache - Relocated topped the list this trip and one other south of Canberra that we found, that wasn't easy.
I had been to Australia once before for a honeymoon years ago but promptly headed off to the Hayman Islands to scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef, so I didn't get to take in many of the touristy things Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, and Wollongong has to offer. This trip we fixed that anemia. The aforementioned cities played as our hub cities each night and the launching pad for the next day. Sydney was the only city that there were two overnight stays. Sadly the first day after landing we had found all the target caches that we had for Sydney, so I fixed that staying longer in Wollongong and did some epic hikes.
I would also be remiss if I didn't mention that while in Sydney a sad record-breaking day occurred. When driving out of the city toward the outback a radio announcement said that that day was the worst day in Sydney's history for the smoke covering the area from all the wildfires. It was bad, I could really feel it in my lungs. But, just an hour west and it was a beautiful nice day.
Things learned about Australia while on this trip (I know COs in Australia don't care about this stuff but we have students that like to read our logs here in the States and some creepers that obsess about us - no joke we had an event while there and showed a group of Sydney cachers our trolls) :
- Birds are so different here, all kinds and Cockatoos were like our Krackle birds as noisy as heck and everywhere.
- Kangaroos are like our dear. Cool to watch, see and eat. Yes, eat. It was on the menu one night.
- The Average Aussie drinks 96 liters of beer per year
- Highway 1 is the longest national highway in the world
- There are more kangaroos than people
- The Drop Bear was created to scare tourists
- And they love Vegemite
- Melbourne has the largest Greek population outside of Greece
- There’s a mountain named “Mt. Disappointment”
- Australia’s dingo fence is longer than the Great Wall of China
- Some of the world’s deadliest animals live here
- Australia was inhabited for at least 50 000 years before the British came
- Australia has over 10 000 beaches
- It’s the 6th largest country in the world
- The Australian Alps receive more snow than Switzerland
- Home to the largest living structure on Earth – The Great Barrier Reef
- The Kangaroo is the national animal of Australia
- Home to a larger population of camels than Egypt
- Wombat poo is square/cube-shaped so they don’t roll away. This makes it easier for them to mark their territory.
- The name ‘Australia’ comes from the Latin word ‘australis’, meaning southern
- Total Population: 24,970,200.
- Capital: Canberra.
- Biggest City: Sydney.
- Highest Mountain: Mount Kosciuszko
- Land area: 7,692,024 km2.
- Biggest Lake: Lake Eyre (salt) and Lake Mackay (freshwater)
- Government: Federal parliamentary constitutional monarchy
- Prime minister: Scott Morrison
- Currency: Australian dollar (AUD)
- Official language: English.
- National song: “Advance Australia Fair”

Something about the day:

From october 16 to november 6 2019, my wife (lp.dk) and I visited Australia for the first time.
After a flight of more than 20 hours, we landed in Darwin. After 2 nights in the city we continued in a rented car first towards Kakadu National Park and later towards Alice Springs.
In Alice Springs we were picked up in an off-road bus and went on a 3-day trip into the wilderness, with overnight stays in a tent close to Uluru.
Back in Alice Springs we drove all the way to Adelaide, from where we flew to Sydney, where we visited our son who has settled there.
After 5 days in the city, we flew back to Singapore, which we visited for 2 days before the final flight back to Copenhagen.
In total, the trip lasted just over 3 weeks.
On the trip we would like to find / visit as many Earth caches, Virtual and Webcams as possible, but also the other kinds of caches when possible.

I solved this mystery several years ago. I think is was very difficult but after studied the internet i managed to solved. Stored the solution and the coordinates so I came Australia , we could find it. TFTC.
Matrix inversion well known, the coordinates were found at home. A short walk, with nice views, brought us to GZ. Our daughter jumped down and spotted ‘something’ in the rock. Coming closer, it seemed to be a sleeping iguana and she was quickly back with us.
Luckily the cache was 2m further in good condition.

Just wrote a big log and lost it - bugger!
So another later - Knowing I was to be in north ryde had a look again the night before. Sort of getting there but phoned a friend (son doing maths at SU) who assisted with some matrix tuition so got some numbers that looked feasible.
Next day, lunch time sauntered off down Epping Rd, hit about four dead ends requiring me to backtrack and cross the road before proceeding. Back and forth...
Finding a trail pointing the right direction bolstered confidence and skirt the primary schools athletics carnival, and soon had CIH.
Ta for cache and jewel.
Some character (likely muggle) had left a gift in the cache which I dared not remove, given the reported provenance! (see pic and note)

Today we were out on the caching trail to find the last of the clues, and to then start collecting some gemstones, for the "Mystery at the Museum" cache challenge. Visited Lane Cove (West & North), then Lindfield, and then finished off with one final cache at Killara. This was the 7th of 10 finds for the day.
The family's chief puzzle solver had bashed away at this one for a while and finally solved the challenging puzzle. but in the absence of a geochecker she wasn't 100% sure it was correct. But as we were in the area anyway today it was added to our cache target list for a GZ visit.
We had read the recent logs regarding issues at GZ, but all good today when we arrived and found a deserted GZ with no sign of any human occupation. Quickly located the good sized cache container hiding under the SPOR. Signed & stamped the logbook, TNLN, then replaced as found. Thanks geomatica for the puzzle & cache.

Long time ago I solved Matrix calculation, about 20 years, during my study.
I found some help on the net, and it wasn't that difficult.
Thanks for the mystery.

**This Cache:**
This cache was next on my to-do list so headed on over to it after grabbing my last cache that was further north, as I was running out of time before I had to get on the highway to Goulburn.
I parked in the recommended spot in the description, but took the shortcut way down the hill over the dry creek rocks and down to the path which cut out a few hundred metres of walking, not overly hard either!
I then made my way to GZ and spent about 15 minutes searching for the cache.
My GPS was pointing in a different direction, and I focused way to long in what looked like the perfect spot for the cache that matched logs and pictures. Eventually I found another similar spot about 20 metres away and uncovered the hide!
Thanks Geomatica for the puzzle and cache, an awesome spot for GZ!

**The Day:**
My last day on the road, heading back to Canberra from Sydney. Managed to attend three events today as well as four old school caches including FINALLY grabbing Australia's Oldest! A few puzzles as well that I have missed in the future due to DNF's, wrong tools or wrong coords! Good to clean up a few loose ends. 16 caches for the day, including lots of driving!
Thanks to all the CO's! See individual log about each cache above ^^

Following the Bebes and I replacing the Cache today I can now officially claim the prize!!
No signs of a homeless person and we hid where the Bebes remembered it had been placed.

I saw Martin Cousins at an event on Monday where I offered to replace this cache.
Today, PelDroedGwin and I visited GZ and I hid it as I remembered it being hidden when I originally found it.

Please disable the puzzle as I have the container with me still.
Allowing two weeks as I presume the homeless man at GZ (sleeps in cave underneath), will move on or I will place in a spot when he is out during the day. Looking at the 4/8/18, to hide it for you.

Enjoyed solving the puzzle and finding GZ. We were sure where the cache should have been hidden. Then we read the previous finders comment about removing the cache from GZ. We hope it us reinstated ASAP. TFTC geomatica
Found location 29/7/18 but then saw last cachers note about removing container.
We headed to GZ but hadn't read the log from Martin Cousins. At that point we thought we knew where it should have been hiding. The homeless guy wasn't anywhere to be cited nor any evidence of him staying there. The Bebes took a photo of the group to show where we were and I took one of the suspected GZ.
We obtained the cache from Martin Cousins at the CCC#15 event the other night. So log book signed and now it's back in it's rightful home, we can log a FOUND IT. Enjoyed the puzzle and GZ. TFTC

I have no idea on the final resting place as I attained the find through unusual circumstances.
I had managed the maths some time ago and today I ventured to GZ.
Parked at a familiar spot in which I've parked previously on other cache hints. Wandered the high trail to GZ, arrow suggesting over here. Looked at the terrain rating and with my review of a climb down, when I awoke a homeless man who has set up camp at GZ.He was asking the questions and I mentioned I'm looking for something. He knew straight away what I was after and suggested I return to the top. I managed the ascent up and he was there and gently thrown it on the ground nearby, thus no idea of its final resting place.
I have the container in my possession as I deemed it a high risk to leave it.
Am requesting to disable the puzzle for a couple of weeks until this gent moves on as he surely can't stay there.
I shall return with the goods for the CO. Giving a fav as it's a dream view from here, thanks geomatica

We have had the solution to this cache since October 2012, but never had the opportunity to go and find it - even though we have been to Sydney many times in the past 6 years So there was nothing to do, but to make a special trip just for this cache and one other - especially after a "quick" drive from Bonnievale camp ground last week was planned, but the event attendees put a wet blanket over that idea
We needed a bit of assistance to solve this puzzle as I hadn't done this sort of maths for years - and my patience was running rather thin I recall.
Found a nice easy track to get to GZ and would you believe it - a couple of muggle walkers were within 15 metres just sitting and chatting. Said hello and then worked out what level to be on - but the co-ords are a bit out and I was lucky to find the cache in the very first spot that I looked in - what a relief!
Thanks Geomatica.

This puzzle tested my algebra and googling skills as well. Thoroughly enjoyed solving it. Although it was solved some time ago I did not get to collect it yet. I had some time off this afternoon so headed out caching in the area. I decided to start with a nearby multi where I spent waay too much time at one of the waypoints and still ended up with a DNF.
I got to search for this one after the dark but luckily found it nevertheless.

Solved this one as part of the MoM series today. I should be better in matrix calculations by hand and with a pencil, but I chose the easy way out. I used a tool and the job was quickly done.
I hope I can visit this cache one day! Thanks for the mystery!

Having solved this one this morning when I realised that we would be nearby and LouLou0212 needed it for her first DT loop, we headed off to find it this afternoon. I headed in one elevation and LouLou in another and one of us found the cache! I’ve added a photo of me wearing the glasses. TFTC Geomatica
BeckNmonts has solved a similar puzzle so knew what was required here, so she had the puzzle quickly solved and we added it to our journey today - we both set off in different directions as we got closer to the GZ soon enough BeckNmonts made the find, such a beautiful spot TFTC Geomatica, I really enjoyed it!
This was another cache that made our 'shortlist' on the way to the OZgeomuster (the shortlist was getting long!) We parked as near as we could (we think) and followed a pretty good track to GZ. It took a while to find this cache - a good thing as that means it's safe, but when we did we were very pleased with ourselves. We logged and took the appropriate photos and had a good old laugh at ourselves. Thanks, Geomatica, we had a blast!
This was another on our short list to find while over for the mega since it looked intresting.
After a bit of a search at GZ goose shouted out founf it and in no time at all we were wearing the wrong glasses.
A great cache with a nice bit of fun at the end.
Thanks for the cache.

We have headed south a few weeks early to have a little holiday prior to attending the Oz Geomuster Mega event and found ourselves spending a few days in Sydney While we were there, we made sure to allow some time to search for a few specific caches which would help us to fulfill some challenges we had set ourselves
This was certainly not an easy puzzle to try to solve and we needed quite a bit of help to get anywhere with it Eventually, we had a likely set of co-ordinates and the D/T combo was definitely one we wished to pick up on this particular trip south. Once arriving at ground zero though we had no difficulty putting our hands on the cache and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our way.
Thank you Geomatica for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy A favourite point from us for all the hair pulling and brain strain [B)]

Dropping off TB that I didn’t have with me at the time of logging this. L’chaim!
I am fortunate enough to have a background in maths so the puzzle was quickly solved a while back. I kept note of the coordinates because I was planning on knocking over this whole area in one swoop, but I was OCW Alephroom and this one was close.
This cache was a perfect example of the way geocaching introduces you to amazing local spots that you never would have known about. Once at GZ the view was nice and the cache was a quick find.

Located at 6:49pm. OCW MouldySalsa. I will admit that MouldySalsa was the driving force on puzzle solving this one. We had been nearby finding Rus-In-Urbe and as we had the final coordinates to GZ for The Matrix, we stopped by to get this one. Such a wonderfully quiet and peaceful venue right alongside a frantically busy highway. We found our pathway to GZ and MouldySalsa soon had CIH. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
TFT Puzzle Cache. Holy Mathematics! We had a nice hike to this cache, taking a few different ways to it, but found by all of us. Visiting from Northern Wisconsin, USA, and this was our 11th day in Australia. Loving the warm weather and great caches. Favorite
Caching with Mocrin and lostcheq on a three week trip to Australia and New Zealand. Another wonderful hike after a cache. It is a lovely hike along the water to the stone "platform". Cache quickly found once at GZ. Thank you for the puzzle and hike.
Worked on this puzzle from home before we left on our geo-trip to New Zealand and Australia. Had a beautiful morning to find this one, and the cache is in great condition. Thanks for the hide! Hello from Duluth, Minnesota!
Very tricky.
Now I did do first level maths for the HSC and I really loved the matrix section of that course, but that was a lonnng time ago.
Ended up with some co-ordinates but there's no checker. Checked on google maps, not so likely as I live pretty close and know these tracks and looking at the photos posted the type of vegetation shown is not in the area where google is pointing. Tried another way to solve it and this time the co-ords looked more promising.
So today, New Years Eve I headed off to try and locate it.
Knowing the tracks I parked at Mowbray Oval and started from there. It was an easy walk but when the GPS got down to <10m there was an obstacle I could not get round so off I went to approach from a different angle. Still no luck but this was a nice part of the track so not all a lost cause.
Backtracking I stopped and looked around, definitely the right vegetation and view but how to get to it?? Finally spotted a way that wasn't dangerous at all hoping that it was in fact the correct location. Soon had CIH and the co-ords were spot on!
Signed the logbook and replaced everything as found.
To save time and distance I basically bush bashed straight back to the oval. Pretty easy going.

Out on a road trip to drop some stuff at Kurrajong in the Blue Mtns from the central coast today with the young geolads and we did a little caching along the way ...or was it that we were out geocaching today and decided to make a delivery while we were at it? Dunno lol but a fun day was had by all! We needed to claim two big finds here in Sydney today to qualify for a 5/5 challenge which I have the opportunity to go for next w/e so team novo in force for the finds down here. We knocked the first one over ok which left us with this our final for the day.
I came across the existence of this geocache just a couple of weeks ago only when doing a search for 4.5/3.5 caches and it closely resembles another I did fairly recently so I had the workings still fresh in my mind. I did study matrices in engineering school in analysing transistor bias circuit characteristics what feels like a LIFETIME ago and, while I enjoyed that a lot, it took some brushing up I must say!
We parked at Avro Rd as suggested and made the very pleasant walk in to GZ. A lot of places to look here but good coords helped narrow down a SPOR which uncovered a very good looking cache for its age. TFTC and puzzle, geomatica. The views are grand - a lovely way to end the day's quests.

Solved this one a while ago and finally got down to Sydney today to make the find. TOMBI! and I are working our way to 5 loops of the D:T grid (44 caches to go) and I needed this one.
A fun walk and great views. Dropped a TB for a puzzle cache. TFTC

I saw this last night and the D/T combo is a pretty rare one... so fired up the year 12 maths and soon had some numbers that matched the description exactly. I came in from Nova St and it was a really nice little walk through a very beautiful area. Cache location was fairly obvious so didn't take me too long to locate
Found with BillHill531 on a day trip to north Sydney to find a bunch of high and rare D/T combinations. We had a great day helping to fill in our grids for our first, second and beyond loops. Finding all that we attempted and making good time.
I had done this puzzle a long time ago. Except I used some wrong numbers and was working things out to five or more decimal places. Then I found my error and the numbers were much easier to work with. Being a rare combo we made the detour today and took the high road in. Had fun at the scary crossing and made a quick find. Took the low road back to the car.
Thanks for the maths, walk, scary climb and cache!

Found with TOMBI!, working on some interesting D/T combinations, needed to fill some of the empty squares . Finding all attemped caches today, this was the 5th one today, Lucky TOMBI! already worked out the coordinates, as my matrix operations are a bit rusty, having writen software to manipulate matrices about 40 years ago. We looked at parking on Avion but decided to start our walk from here. Found a track to follow, and walked on a special section near the river, returning a different way to the car, thruogh some nice areas. TFTC Geomatica

Found with BabyJMan
I think I solved this one 5+ years ago - with significant help from the computer and hardly understanding what I was doing - and despite living within 5km of it, never got around to it (I think the terrain rating must've thrown me off!).
BabyJMan and myself were both at home today and so we decided to knock off some long overdue caches. I liked the look of this one as I just sat a Uni exam covering matrices, enabling me to 'properly' solve this, so thought it would be rather appropriate to find it.
Parked in Avian Crescent and followed the directions from the description to get 'the right way' to GZ.
(It is still a no through road however you can access the other end of it from Mowbray Rd).
Really nice bushland here - never knew it existed. Will have to come back and spend some more time here.
Once at GZ (and having commenced the higher terrain bit), the cache was found safely and in excellent condition.
Really nice to find the original logbook here in perfect condition. Seems as though a local homeless person found it in January (the last visitor) but luckily left it and wrote a nice note (attached).
Took both TBs that were inside - this cache (unfortunately) doesn't get too much love, however I'll give it a favourite (once I get some more) as I think it's a really nice puzzle/cache combo.
And finally, had to take a legendary nerd picture
Thanks Geomatica for the cache - nice as always. Would be great to see this one last another 10 or so years.

As I haven't used matrices for a long while, I had to refresh my knowledge on this. The rest wasn't that hard anymore.

In Sydney for the weekend with McLookers picking up some solved puzzles and targeted DT combinations in and around the suburbs. The weather was great (much better than Melbourne) and conducive to the many hikes we done over the 2 days. It was fabulous to see some unchartered territory with the added bonus of a cache or two. This puzzle was solved totally thanks to McLookers , luckily for us she remembered her high school maths because we certainly didnt. We parked in a great little spot and found the cache without any worries today in such a fab spot. Afterwards we walked further and really enjoyed the scenery and wondered why there wasn't an earthcache in this particular spot.
Thanks Geomatica for the challenging puzzle and bringing us to this beautiful area.

After identifying this cache as a particular D/T I was chasing, I took a brief look at the puzzle and thought it far too long ago that I encountered matrices to be able to complete it. So a call out to a mathematician muggle friend was made. Later that day and before I had any response from my MMF, I thought I should have a crack. Bingo! It appears that my memory wasn't that bad after all! We parked not too far from GZ and made the walk along the track. Once close to GZ The Tritonz GPS had him in a great spot and there we found the cache. We saw some kayakers along the water, thanks for bringing us here today Geomatica.
