This cache has certainly not survived the fire about two months ago. Hopefully it can be replaced
Gaz'n'Kab
Gaz'n'Kab
Well I technically found it. Unfortunately it has not survived a fire. I found the molten remains under the log, with just a scrap of unburnt log book. It needs to be replaced. TFTC
Unfortunately the cache has been the victim of a fire. I have included a pic of the remains in my "found it" log. It needs to be completely replaced.
We thought this should be call the lost boy scout. It was slightly damp when we found it (:D)
I do love my trains and I didn't realise there was a disused track down these parts. Nice little walk from where I parked up the path and soon had cache in hand. TFTC.
Easy piece of bush to walk through compared to the usual overgrown spider filled swamps!
Found safe, slightly damp.
Thanks AJ Junior.

Brahms6 found this one with Geoff1313. A nice walk through the scrub to this one brought back a few old memories. Our 18th cache out of 20 today and a personal best for me 18 from 18 with no dnfs. Took a Marble and Left a Pig. SL TFTC
18 of 20 for the day caching with my brother Brahms 6. This one had us drifting back to a different time and talking about our father and how much he would have enjoyed spending the day with us. He was a bushie thru and thru and would have enjoyed the countryside that geocaching is taking me to, however I doubt that he would have handled the technology required to get there. I left the sheep and took the red truck. TFTC.
Cheers Geoff1313

Found without any problem. Very wet inside including logbook. TFTC - an enjoyable cache.
Found this today was on the wrong idea at first then read the previous logs and was soon at GZ only thing was GZ was all over the place, so got to where we thought was GZ the had a quick look around there it was.
Thanks A J Junior.

So many logs to choose from in this area. Happily the coordinates were pretty close and after a few mintues I had the cache in hand. No swaps, signed log and was on my way over the road to the next one. TFTC.
Was a little conceren about the barb wire fence & being on someone property!! Anway got the cache eventually ,co-ords were going haywire with the cloud cover & trees ...The cryptic clue was no help as there are loads of fallen trees -but I got it TFTC x
Found without too much trouble but the barbed wire was a challenge. Easy once you found the right place to climb through it. TFTC and TNLN.
Having just found Working for the Railroad we risked out lives crossing the busy road and headed along the trail next to the railway. Suddenly the GPS said turn left but there was a barbed wire fence- hmmmmm. Possum bravely risked his life and climbed through as he could smell the cache close by. He called to his georellies to come and they quickly found it. The usual swapping was done and then back to the car. TFTC
After checking for trains I crossed the track. If a train did approach I would just hide behind the tree that has grown in between the rails.
Didn't see any boy scouts but was prepared anyway.
Fangsoki and I tracked this one down. TFTC
I left a soccer ball key ring.

Tracked this one down with Radnoski while in the area. This cache was certainly a highlight of the day - I love old railway caches. The tree in the middle of the tracks amused us no end. Tracked down the cache after a bit of a hunt. TFTC A J Junior
Drove up the access track under the power lines parking near GZ, was returning to car when someone pulled into the shack behind our parking area. He watched us carefully as we reversd out. I guess a work verchial with business name on side and NSW plates would look out of place down a back track.
JABs.

We almost didn't go for this one due to the sign at the fenceline warning that it's private property, no unauthorised access, but as we have a Scout in the family, decided that authorised us just enough. Is that a new sign? TFTC ='.'=
glad we went in along the railtrack rather than through the Scout grounds which would have been quite a little bush-bash

Getting on towards dark when found this one near end of great day finding 13 caches. I was pretty stoked by this stage. TFTC
Out caching this afternoon with friends and hunted this one down very late in the afternoon. It was soon to be dark and we felt ourselves lucky to get this one without too much time. TFTC. SL. TNLN.
Near the end of the day's caching and almost out of swaps but fortunately had bought an octopus strap at Logan Village IGI. It was perfect to put in a Boy Scout cache. Another good bush hide. SL TFTC
Found at 1235Hrs. Certainly a different caching environment. TNLN.
Thanks A J Junior.
Thanks A J Junior.
Found this one on a hot, dry, windy day. Thanks for the location. Cache can take large items. TN. Left water pistol, badge and a camel. TFTC.
Really great location! Knocked this one over on my way home from work.

Be careful not to fall over all the broken trees here .Found the cache ,signed the log and now we are on to the next one
Found it (14:55) after a lunch break to feed geo-daughter..
Short walk into the mulga for this one..
GPS got confused - indicating 1st this way trhen that way - decided just look for likely locations & thankfully we were in the right vicinty..
Cache soon in hand..
TNLNSL
Thanks A J Junior for a good challenge - less reliance on technology for this one..

There was a fair bit of activity at the scout den today so we weren't sure at first how best to tackle it. We noticed the trail and this took us close to the cache. Nice little hide.

Was a bit nervous when I saw GZ, but the cache wasn't too hard to find. TN/LN/SL.
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga at 2:07pm. A short walk to GZ to find the cache but the name is puzzling. Not many trains use this line by the looks of it. TFTC
Found with Geoson james and Geosam, Their first My second find. Took ball left chinese coin. TFTC
I think that we approached this from the back. We were concerned with the private property sign so we decided to walk along the rail road. We had to end up jumping a fence to get to the cache. The kids enjoyed walking along the train track.

Found today with Geodaughter Tina. Should have found this one some months ago as I was a Venturer Leader at this Scout Group not so long ago. There ya go. TFTC.
The last boy scout in our group - well at least the last one to join scouts - found it. We walked in from the road along the rail line - a tree had fallen on the barbed wire fence so had easy access.
Forgot to log this one while out and about with Claeton on a Friday caching. Quiet, peaceful place for a cache, TFTC
Found with smeeagain on our usual friday hunt the barbed wire mentioned in other logs was not a problem as we practically drove up to the cache

Took what we thought was the easy way into this one and had to scale the barbed wire. Once in location it was a nice easy find. One of the biggest containers I have seen. Plenty of room for swaps.
Took nothing left flashlight keyring.
Cheers

Came out of the other cache and thought about walking across until Mrs Diesel48 read the previous logs. Driving is always easier then walking. Arrived close by and strolled into find the cache.Took WA key ring Left Poo Bear. My applogies. Found him in my pocket when I got home. TFTC SL
TFTC! Awesome find there.. No need to go through the barbed wire. Off Camp Cable onto Edelsten then a little dirt road (its ok.. safe for cars, took me little barina down there )
I found the right track and then negotiated the barbed wire.
TN. Left the Rippa Zippa TB.
TN. Left the Rippa Zippa TB.
The cache is safe and sound but I hope they never get a fire through there? TFTC TN left token.
THIS COULD BE A LIKELY SPOT FOR A FIRE IF THE LOCALS ARE NOT CAREFUL VERY DRY. NICE STROLL! TFTC
Found whilst out for the day with Dannza. Dannza sent me in to the depths of spider web country again. Took Aussie key ring and left pack of playing cards. TFTC
Parking the geomobile at a nearby road junction, I scouted around for a way to the cache
Seems there is an old walking track through the area, still faintly discernable to the trained scouting eye
But the last boy scout isn't maintaining it [:o]
So thanks to the trail this was a pleasant little stroll through a very dry bit of bushland
A much better rated cache than the movie

Watch out for snakes!! A brown one crossed my path.Easy find. Took swaggie. TFTC SL. Silky Seekers.
Triumph! Found at 1830hrs in company with LEDGIN'S. Quick find after a drive down a dirt road and a climb through a barbed wire fence of the rusty kind. SL TNLN TFTC
Oops! Looks like we were all over the private property today. The fence certainly can be confusing. Still managed success.
This area is park land or reserve . The building you see is the Scout Den.
If you enter via the railway line you WILL see .the PRIVATE PROPERTY sign. Once you have crossed the fence line you are on public land , the green area of the map ,Park land or reserve. If you walk to the cache and from Camp Cable rd and Edelsten rd you will not be confronted with a fence .

Entered into the book of LEDGIN'S. Easily found at 6.30pm with SPEEDMISTRESS after taking a dirt track off road. SL. TNLN TFTC.
The cache is on public land if you enter from the railway end you will see the sign Private Property No Motorbikes or Vechicles which is the right hand side of the fence the cache is on the left hand side .
G'Day
A J, can you check that this is public land and not someone's property, please?
Post a note with what you find. (Same goes for finders!)

took a back rest pillow thing. left a rubber ducky. lots of trees to hide a possible cache so it was a bit more tricky than some.

Missed out on the FTF but it look's like I get 1st to log. I was a little concerned trying to find this one as there was a sign saying private property keep out, and I had to cross the fence, but the lure of a FTF spurred me on, alas it was not to be. TFTC TNSL
Nice easy find. Drove along a little dirt road got out and found it pretty easy.

Grabbed FTF early today on the way to work, a maze of small dead trees and cobwebs but still managed to find it .
I think I've got some of those spider running loose in the car.
