Logs
Followed the AL to this one. Once I worked out how the lock worked, the log was signed. Thanks
Had a nice afternoon/evening wandering around Isaacs Ridge after work - really enjoyed this cache loop set up by Tealby. All caches were found, some with more of a struggle than others.I had not the slightest idea that by attempting the AL, I was going to be stepped through to the finale of this geocache. This was very helpful because there was absolutely ~zero~ chance that I would have soled this puzzle alone! Even getting through the final hurdle of this cache was too tricky for me without some help for YouTube!Fave point from me - great fun!
Our last tour during Capital Geobash in Canberra and it was wonderful! Special thanks to Tealby for hosting us on this tour of Isaac's Ridge!Great story behind this one, and another great idea to mirror the waypoints with the Adventure Lab! Favorite point awarded!
The Canberra GeoBash has been on the horizon for so long and finally it was here and sadly we are on the last official tour today.A group of like-minded people are on the Isaacs ridge puzzle tour and its a cooler day with a bit of a breeze so perfect for walking the ridge. James0116 did the honours for this one. The log was signed TT2. Thank you to Tealby for leading an excellent tour
Found by Mary and David at 13:20 with the second "A Puzzling Tour of Isaacs Ridge" group. Signing as TT2 (Tealby Tour #2). A well planned Tour with a great mix of cache types and terrains. Some lovely views along the way too. Our thanks to Tealby.
The rain cleared up for another awesome day as a group of geo cachers lead by Tealby took on lssaacs Ridge Nature Reserve as part of the Canberra Mega side events. An awesome 5 hours of meandering through this bush as a group. Many thanks to Tealby for your time. Logs signed TT2. It was interesting hearing the story behind this cache.
Hip hip hooray for Tealby - here we are on the ISAACS Ridge tour she has kindly put together. We signed as TT2. Here for the NNF (National Folk Festival) plus the MEGA so its full on in the supersaturated cache CAPITAL all the way from NE Vic AGAIN! Love the ambience and serenity.and the wandering wanders with buddies. TFTC, the lure to visit, the challenge and the FUN and a FAVE for the creation
Found during the Mega event in Canberra over the Easter long weekend. Our team comprised courtneyrose_, Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Featherwaite, Freddo, gridge98 and Team Waldron, signing the logs as ABP to save time, and space in the logbooks, or with our individual caching names. Enjoyed a great weekend away finding a rewarding range of cache types, d/t combinations, cache hides and retrievals. Thanks for the cache Tealby!
Found on our journey over the week here. This weekend was mega weekend and we headed over with Courtneyrose_ Freddo, Team Waldron, e.gregory1, Davidwazza and Featherwaite as part of our team called: ABP (Alphabet People), the log books were either signed with the name, ABP or our individual caching names.A great weekend away in the capital and a very well organised mega, it was nice to be back in the ACT caching once again over easter with great weather. Thanks for the cache
Found while attending the Mega event in Canberra over Easter. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team waldron, courtney rose, davidwazza, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Logs were signed ABP to save time and space on the logsheets. It was a productive day, focusing mainly on caches of interest, with a variety of cache types. The weather was fine and quite warm, in contrast to some of the other times Ive been in Canberra over Easter. Thanks Tealby for the puzzle and the cache.

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Mr Felix joined the Puzzling tour of Isaacs Ridge today. Enjoyable day on a tough trek. Good to be able to tackle this with a group. Thanks for allowing a group assault.Warm day, lots of laughs and chatting. The logs were signed as TT1 and the group consisted of McLookers, Phetlern, FelixII, Dis Sister,The Morris, pprass, MeAndDe, Wollaston, Ironford , EP79, HansandLinda and Tealby. Thanks to Tealby for organising the tour and keeping us stragglers in tow. Found today on a great walk around Issac's Ridge on one of the many tours put on for the [Capital GeoBash](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9PNFB_capital-geobash). Thanks for showing us this part of the country. Thanks for find #5890TNLN
Found at 10:21 AM with the group doing the Tealby Isaac Tour which were - Dis Sister, EP79, FelixII, HansandLinda, Ironford, McLookers, MeAndDe, Phetlern, The Morris & Wollaston. The logs were signed as TT1.An enjoyable day on a sometimes tough walk. There was a bit of fun with some laughs and chatting. Thanks to Tealby
12:52What an adventure - Together with like minded geocachers we gathered at Sheperdson Place, before tackling the steep climbs and the prickles of the 16,600 steps over some 10.2 kms. Along the trail there was a great variety of caches to be found, including this one, some puzzles, multis, traditionals and a wherigo. (Yes we did make it to the Wildbark Experience Event). We signed the logs TT1 and our touring party consisted of Phetlern, FelixII, DisSister, The Morris, pprass, MeAndDe, HansAndLinda, Wollaston, Tealby, Ironford and EP79.Diana ( Tealby) was a wonderful chaperone - patient & understanding. Also a BIG thank you to the CO's who contributed caches.36741
Found with the group doing the Tealby Isaac Tour, all logs were signed as TT1.At time it was a hot tough walk but there was a bit of fun as well. Thanks for the tour and the cache Tealby
TFTC Tealby your cache Tealby's Revenge.... that we found today. We are in Canberra for the fun and games of the Mega.Today was the first organised Tours. We opted for the Isaac Ridge Tour. A 10km walk over 5 hours. Hard work but satisfying. To save space on logs we signed as TT1. Members of the group were McLookers,Phetlern,Felix II, Dis Sister,The Morris, pprass,MeAndDe, Wollaston, Ironford , EP79 and ourselves. It was disappointing that 2 caches had gone walkabout inspite of being recently checked. Find Count: 19299
This was an excellent puzzle enjoyed with a great group of cachers. A favourite from me.Really enjoyed the tour of Isaacs Ridge today. We signed the logs TT1 and our touring party consisted of Phetlern, FelixII, DisSister, The Morris, pprass, MeAndDe, HansAndLinda, Wollaston, Tealby, Ironford and EP79.Thanks for placing the cache Tealby.
The Adelaide Leap Day Mega and Canberra Geobash gave us a great excuse for a road trip. This trip has shown us so many new and interesting places as weve chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites.Meeting up with friends old and new along the way, we sometimes cached together and sometimes alone but always had a great time. Today we took a hike up, down and around Isaacs Ridge with the puzzling tour, hosted by the lovely Tealby. An enjoyable time in good company, we chatted away as we walked along both on and off trail. The weather was kind to us and the 5 hours seemed to pass quickly. We had some lovely views from several stops along the way as well. A great way make a puzzle. And quite tricky to access too! Thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache and adding to our enjoyment.
#4681 This puzzle was a long term project taking a look every now and again and going down many dead ends.Just when I finally thought I was onto something viable I once again fell short.A message to the CO confirmed I was on the right path so with a little more perseverance I had waypoint 1 at last.As luck would have it I was working in Mawson for the day so headed out this afternoon to at least make a start. Then I just kept going and eventually found myself on the final leg to GZ.If there was a bad way to approach this I think I took it.Alls well that ends well and logbook soon enough in hand. Thanks Tealby for an enjoyable cache and hike.
For official purposes I'm going to call this my 500th Mystery cache find, I may be one or two out in the day's sequence but this was by far the most enjoyable cache for the day so it deserves the significant milestone.Found today as part of the pre tour test for the Isaacs ridge mystery tour for the Easter Mega event organised by Tealby. All the way points gave a enjoyable tour of the area and thanks to the c/o for helping me with the clues.A enjoyable day with about 10Kms of walking over 6 hours with an early start to beat the worst of the days heat. Thanks Tealby and I am sure the real tour participants will have enjoyable walk. A favorite point for sure!
Had started gathering details years ago but just never finished the job. Finally after several recent hikes in the area had the required numbers. Made an early morning visit to GZ without issue, then applied said required numbers. Took several attempts, and in the end a little brute force and bingo, log signed. Back down roughly the way I came. TNLNSL TFTC
Found with Kittykatch and Joolay and Tankengine on a beautiful autumn morning while we trekked around the forest.
This cache: This one I started and have found two of the points, but I was no where near solving this today. My goodness it was tricky just up to where I had gotten.
Took a long time at GZ to finally reach the logbook. Lots of fun though and an interesting spot. Tftc!!!

I joined up with Joolay, dty73 and Tankengine today to walk up the ridge today to collect some solved puzzles. So cool to find this cache at last. I worked out most of it but had help all the way and at the very end.
Thanks for putting out this cache Tealby

This took years in the sorting out and getting help with the puzzle group. Not for the faint hearted and opening it was also very tricky. Got there in the end.
Thanks For getting me out and about Tealby
Thanks For getting me out and about Tealby
Another day of lockdown, another pressing need for me to take The Dog out of the house for a decent exercise walk in one of the reserves near the house. Today was a fantastic 4.4km loop with a 214m elevation gain up, down then back up and down Isaacs Ridge - just the thing to cheer a housebound cacher up.
I'm very slowly working my way through the puzzles up here - I find I can either twig onto them immediately, or else it's a massive effort to get me even close. This was one of the puzzles that I needed an enormous amount of help on over the last few weeks, with assistance from previous finders seeing me get across the line eventually. What an epic adventure this one was!
This cache was located quickly at GZ, and once accessed the log was in good, dry condition.
Thanks, Tealby - very entertaining!

I foolishly thought that after solving the puzzle that it would be off for a short quick find. Alas I was wrong and finally after my second visit to the area I was able to access and sign the log. i can see why it is a 5 star difficulty. Nice rocks to sit at. TFTC.
Decided it was high time i went to pick this one up after an earlier solve, as noted in my previous log. What a twister! Just when i thought I had it I was in for a surprise, and this was the gift that kept on giving. Well something like that.
I had quite a few to pick up in this area so made a day of it. All up just shy of 14km was walked, up hills and down dales. Such a pretty area and the most magnificent white gum tree I think I've ever seen. The girth was 3-4 persons arms length around so much be a really old tree.
Thank Tealby for the brain strain and for pushing me into puzzle solving I'd never imagined. All in excellent condition:-)

After much brain strain, finally got the green light from the checker today. Finding my way through the maze and finding the instructions was the easy part, then the perplexing really began. At this point I had a series of numbers which made no sense, but with a gentle nudge I was able to convert a set of numbers that looked good for the South but not so good for the East. Another nudge, and reading some of the previous logs, and voila there is was as clear as day. Puzzles are not my forte so it certainly felt good to work this one out and thanks to the CO for the nudge here and there. Great puzzle and a fav from me!
Finally on my 4th trip up on Isaac's Ridge I headed to the final to see if I could put this baby to rest at last. It is amazing what can be found near GZs but it was a lucky find that drew me closer to the cache. Then came the final task that certainly makes this cache a D5. I had incredible trouble opening the cache but eventually my name was added to the log. TFTC Tealby TNLPT
Found as part of StarsAlign, now caching under my own name. A challenging puzzle. TFTC
This cache puzzle has been a torment for us over a number of years and the only way we could resolve it was through team effort, as per others before us. As it turned out we were so, so close to resolving the puzzle for a long time but just didn’t know it.
So, after much mental then physical effort the cache was eventually located late morning. Took a little while to get into the container as it was 'stuck' but with gentle persuasion we were into the goodies in no time. Log signed and finally back to the car to head for the Brindabellas. TFTC Tealby.

fitzy_1965 and I decided to tackle Isaacs Ridge with weekend. After speading the news, we ended up being joined by FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild & Flintstones.
Although the weather had potential for a lot of rain, it was only drizzling lightly as we started and thankfully didn't get too much heavier for the whole walk.
All of us had different caches to find but signed all logs as MRF^3. We collected all the caches on our list with the exception of one which was a known DNF before we started.
Got required info at WP1 and headed to the final. Took a few minutes to find and then a few more to get the cache open. Thanks for the challenge Tealby.

There have been a large number of puzzles released on Isaacs Ridge over time and as they came out, they were promptly solved and added to the "Solved/Unfound" pile. FFLL reached out and advised there was a group planning a walk along the ridge and asked if I wanted to come along. Yes please
It had been organised that one car would be left at the southern end and we would begin our walk at the northern end, this saved any backtracking and worked out really well. Todays walking group consisted of both FFLL ladies, MinnieK, fitzy_1965, Flintstones and myself. As such, we decided to sign the logs as MRF^3 (some logs signed as MRFFF). The forecast was for rain today but luckily for us, it was more of a haze drizzle throughout our walk.
Another one of those great to grab caches today. This is one that I have wanted to tick off for quite a while now and was looking forward to getting it. Once at GZ, we searched around and then spotted the cache. Then had to work out the best approach. Fortunately for us, MinnieK is good at these kinda items and had it open in a jiffy. Woot log signed and cache replaced. Thanks for the revenge Tealby

Found alongside andrewbt and toyhunter while tackling some caches on Isaacs Ridge en route to today's CITO. Indeed a very good cache to attempt on the way to the event - nice suggestion by the CO on the event page! TNLNSL, but I took the TB inside the very large and impressive hide. TFTC Tealby!. Nice to finaly have this cache as a found it.

In Canberra this weekend as part of the Grumpy Old Mates (GOMs) adventure on Isaac's Ridge. A great day with lots of ups and downs from one side of the ridge to the other. Luckily (or by good planning), the waypoints more or less lined up with our trek up the hill. Fabulous surprise at GZ which took a couple of goes to crack.

Back in the depths of isolation time, some of us passed the time with puzzles to avoid getting grumpier. So here we are in the ACT. A labyrinthine effort in the beginning but good teamwork on the day as we trekked up and down and up and up. Thanks Tealby.

13 Found out of 19 on the way to (and from the CITO atop Issacs Ridge)
Began around midday heading North, collecting trads and mystery caches alike (predominiately mysteries!) - with the goal to arrive at the CITO at 14:15
Didn't quite happen that way, but that was OK. CO's were later than I was!
Given I had wanted to come back when the ridge was predominately light blues, rather than dark blues, it's been a while since I solved a fair few of the mysteries on my walk
Towards the top, I met up with Toy Hunters, who joined me on the last few along the ridgeline (and a few after)
Arrived at the CITO, had a quick chat, then was on my way again. Making our way down, we spotted a few more cachers, who yelled out how to find one of the caches. Thanks for that!
A solid effort out. I also discovered discovered that my new Garmin watch likes to beep after I'd done enough steps/spent enough time out exercising. It's also interesting that I clocked about 160min of walking in a 4.5hr adventure. That suggests that my time finding caches is far more than I thought
This cache, rather embarrasingly, I had determined enough information to get me to GZ. What I didn't do, is bring some pretty important notes. Oops, PAF'd that bit.

Wow, pretty awesome to finally have this cache finished
I remember first looking at this puzzle back in 2015 or so, not long after I started. Back then there were nowhere near as many D5 puzzles as there are now (mainly due to DSD + ZQX!), so I thought it would be a cool one to get.
Never got too far with it though but then received some help, and made some progress, visiting the WP's. I recall WP1 being fairly quick, WP2 taking a bit longer and then getting stuck with WP3 and letting it be for another few months...
Eventually got around to it and now today I visited GZ Was impressed by what I found and quickly had it open, as I would have opened one of these locks multiple thousands of times during my school years! If you think how many times you need to access your schoolbag in a day, and the amount of school days a year it adds up, so I remembered the trick right away despite finishing school many years ago.....

Another weekend and another day of caching with GreyHams, Issacs Ridge was the focus of our days outing. Callum Brae and Symonston held a few smaller pockets of other yet to be found caches, puzzles solved since the last visits or just waiting for the time to get around to getting to them... which we did this day!
A slightly different approach this time with putting a car at each end of the ridge. A short detour up into Mount Mugga Mugga Nature reserve first, an area thought to have been cleared out but GH found a sneaky puzzle hiding in there. Our warm up walk before the assent onto Issacs, although the approach was good coming from a high point.
A good part of the morning spent walking along the ridge with the occasion shift downwards for the odd cache as we passed. It's been a lot of visits up here over many years for the caches as puzzles have been solved. Some came easily but others needed hints or time to see the in. No doubt there are others hidden still or yet to come!
Once off the ridge and back to the car a detour for some well earnt lunch and then back for a few of the little pockets in the area. Many thanks for your cache Tealby which helped lead our way through the day, a lovely Autumn day perfect for walking and an enjoyable day out.
We both came at this from different directions but GH got there first. The final task took some working but again GH got the results we needed.

Another weekeend, another map cleanup trip with Aquilus1. After spending many months on puzzles the last few weeks has been all about collecting. My sixth trip up Issac's Ridge, please no one else put up more puzzles here....I met Aquilus1 at the top of Long Gully Road to pick her up and drove back to the other end of the ridge, in O'Malley..... once up on the ridge we only had to come down a few times for caches.
AFter the ridge it was lunch at Erindale, which makes 3 or 4 weekends in a row we have eaten down there.. such variety. Then back down Long Gully Road to Mugga Way to grab a bunch more along the road and in Cullum Brae.
Thanks for all the hides and the the CO's for placing and maintaining.... Noikmeister, Darksidedan, Rapidlywold, Tankengine, Tealby, BatGirl & Winterdragon. Quite a variety of puzzles and hides!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The maze was simple, then I stared at it.....for a long time, a very long time, then I come back a year later and still got nowhere....but I never fully gave up. It took me ages to get this open..... I was starting to doubt the combination but.... bazinga it opened.

The maze was simple, then I stared at it.....for a long time, a very long time, then I come back a year later and still got nowhere....but I never fully gave up. It took me ages to get this open..... I was starting to doubt the combination but.... bazinga it opened.
Puzzle solving to few caches... I ask Dragon 1989 come with me walked to hills and find few caches... Your caches are safe hide... Today Beautiful warm sunny ... He help to lock to open for me... i ahve been there twice.. im not good with Lock.... ha ha ha
thanks
thanks
Tealby's Revenge is now back in situ, ready to be found again. One of the lab caches and a GCA cache at the mega event should help with opening this cache - once you get to the final waypoint!
Cache has been repaired, but is not yet back in situ. I plan to replace it on Thu morning & will enable the cache later that day when I get home again.
This was the THIRD day of finding Mystery caches in the ACT with 154Crows. Converting hours of puzzle solving into cache finds continues to be a rewarding experience! The solved list is getting broken down, chunk by chunk. Today we decided to take on the ‘physically demanding, high frequency, high reward’ caches on the South side of Canberra! We came away with 54 finds (13.5%) in total. Thanks to the local CO’s for their puzzles and caches. (Apologies for the generic log).
Ahh Tealby's Revenge and that dreaded Gargoyle maze. I struggled with it many times over until resorting to help. We had eventually identified a set of coordinates. Upon arrival at GZ, the cache was easily located. Unfortunately, it is evident that "The Hawker Boys" (last name in logbook but not online?) have damaged the can in order to open the cache - as a result, we found the cache in a broken state that will require attention. Felt a little cheated to not enjoy the full experience, but that's just how it goes. TFTC Tealby!
I'll send photos to the CO tomorrow.

Out for the third day of our Canberra blitz picking up puzzle caches that have been worked out for quite some time - some of them so long ago they've even been forgotten by this time. Anyway, since this go 'round started off on a cooler note we tackled Mt Isaac and surrounds. Most coords were very good with a few exceptions; several containers were wet-to-soggy on Isaac and in the one-thousand club many have become brittle from the weather. Apologies for the copy n' paste logs - most puzzles deserve a few more words than this - but gathering in a couple hundred puzzles in a short span of time amounts very much to binging the area leaving little time to reflect on what brought us here. Not to worry, tho, everything has been well worth the effort, and will bring us back several more days before we're done. TFTC.
It's been so long since we first tried to solve this one that I thought it was going to fall into the rather large bin full of unsolved Canberra caches. Recently I was reinvigorated by solving some of the other puzzles from that bin.
Armed with start numbers it was still way to long until we found ourselves able to make the search. Today we decided to give it a go in company with Chalk! The bitter cold wind was doing it's best to make us change our mind but we pressed onward and upwards.
We found GZ now armed with everything we thought we needed to claim a find. After several attempts the container still had us puzzled. It was Chalk! who came to the rescue after a quick inquiry flicked off to Mr Google. Bingo we had finally tamed the revenge.
Big grins all round, jackets and beanies back on, now for the victorious return trip.
Thanks Tealby for this very challenging and memorable cache.

Out with J & J.au who had solved the puzzle. Now for the hard bit hey! Ha, cold wind made us walk a little faster and once all information gathered, cache was in hand soon enough, and with a quick reference to google we worked out the final trick to this puzzle. Great effort all round. Thanks for the cache.
Being our second last day of of holidays, we teamed up with The_Tritonz this afternoon. With a heap of solved puzzles still to collect, we got cracking. We drove the length and breadth of our nations capital ( and then some !! ), adding smiley faces to our map. Well done to all of the CO's, you certainly made our brain hurt. Well this didn't go as planned !! Thinking we were in for a quick find, silly me strolled here in thongs. Let's just say after finally reaching the end, my feet were a little bit sore. A great little adventure worth a fave point. TFTC Tealby
Having previously solved this puzzle we set about finding the cache this afternoon only to discover we had a much larger mission on our hands. In the company of DAB we worked our way through the sneaky waypoints until we hit a brick wall or should we say a wire fence in this case. Needing to sit down and read through previous logs we finally worked out our mistake and recorrected our wpt which took us to a much more logical spot. Once there we had everything we needed to find this good sized container hiding there waiting for us to access the logbook.
Thanks Tealby for the great adventure that we had this afternoon in a beautiful location.
A favourite point for the devilish devious delightful Cache.

The original Evince checker uses for this puzzle has been replaced with an alternative GeoChecker. Unfortunately the creator of the Evince checker died. He was a local cache reviewer in Texas (I believe) and was a highly valued member of the caching community.
The bananas can not even get the Evince checker to work. Is this part of the puzzle?

This one took me a while to solve. I picked it up and put it down several times before finally cracking it. I was hoodwinked by the red herrings, and was eventually put out of my misery by a past finder. I then reserved it for this afternoon, to find after today's ACT Middle Distance Orienteering Champs that were based a few hundred metres away from WP1. Wonderful weather today for orienteering and the geocaching here. Straight after my race I headed off. Each of the WPs took a few minutes to spot, each taking a little longer than the previous one. I liked the hides for WP's 1 & 2. I misinterpreted the co-ords for WP4, but was put right before I'd gone too far off track. (Thanks for the warning ZQX). AT GZ, the cache was quickly found. As it turns out that was my second time to this spot today as it was just metres from one of the controls on my course! I was back at the orienteering in time for the prize giving, and then it was off for a Sunday lunch. TFTC- the second Tealby cache found today, and extra thanks as this find completes my second D/T loop.

This was our first day caching in the ACT. After I found out I would be coming I spent a number of days working at solving local puzzles prior to arriving this morning. Sadly Janet had to stay back home.
Today 15 caches were found. 10 of these were either 5D or 5T or both. Trees and hills were climbed, lakes were navigated, and an unloved TB was freed the first time since 2011. All in all a great day.
This was number 9. I had found my way through the maze and was in possession of WP1. So it should be pretty easy. After all how many waypoints could there be?
It was dark by the time we got to GZ but I had managed to find a dragon to come along and keep me company.
Gear check:

All good, let's go.
And so the trail of the waypoints began. It was quickly apparent that the ground was not flat. it actually contained quite a bit of up. In fact along the way we stopped a number of times. It was just to admire the views and definitely not to get our breath back.
Along the way waypoints were encountered. Some pretty challenging waypoints to be honest. The fourth one was a bit weather beaten and one digit is hard to read. The section between the last two waypoints and the cache has been subject to a lot of forest clearing but the fallen trees and branches are still on the ground adding to the challenge of the terrain. We saw quite a few glowing eyes too, that hopped away into the night.
Finally we arrived at GZ and the cache was found. Finally, it's not another d@mn bison in a tree! Yay! The final hurdle was quickly overcome. I think the dragon a bit surprised I knew exactly what to do but I have seen this thing a few times before and knew how it works.
And so a not quite yet unloved cache's logbook was signed. And a decision was made to return a different way. Which was not shorter. Or less tree strewn.

I had this puzzle printed out and sitting in my puzzle book for months and months. I had gotten half way there, but not really, and put is aside. But with a renewed focus on my DT grid in the last couple of months, I pulled the now yellowing piece of paper out and looked again. With a tiny nudge, I could now see what I had not seen before and some cords managed to appear from the tangled wreckage of the paper. Since Fox had also solved the cords for WP1 we met nice and early this morning (with his geohound) to collect this one and another one nearby.
Parked at the posted coordinates and made our way to WPI, where Fox quickly uncovered the next set of information. At WP2 we did some cacher circles until I decided to pay closer attention to some particular objects, and the next set of coords were in hand - phew - that could have taken ALOT longer. Then a slow trek to WP3, where the next set of coords were quickly spotted, and armed with a prior hint about the correct way to read them, we set off for WP4. The tree coverage here only slowed us down a little and soon GZ was in sight.
Mmmm....what to say about the length of time it took us to gain entry to the cache! As much as we tried, we could not gain entry. So, eventually Fox has the bright idea of using the resources available to us via our mobile devices, and after a quick refresher, the cache was open first time! That could have otherwise been embarrassing to have to ring geoson and ask his advice!
Anyway, log signed, the contents rifled through and a pathag added to the stash.
Thanks Tealby for a super puzzle and walk this morning and thanks to Fox for the company and persistence in getting the cache open - a fav from me!

My current geocaching goal is to complete the D/T Matrix. This particular cache neatly fitted a gap and looked like a great challenge. AngelG27 needed to fill this D/T gap as well, so we joined forces. We have been successful on other challenging caches lately, bringing different skills to bear when needed.
We got through the first part of the puzzle, after some ideas were cast around between AngelG27, Rapidlywild and myself. With WP1 known, we decided to continue the adventure on a fresh Sunday morning. We met at 7:00am to collect Farrer's Fivestar and then drove to a Drop Zone near WP1.
WP1 was found quickly, which led to WP2. At WP2, AngelG27's eagle eyes soon spotted the cache. Onwards. After reaching a different elevation, WP3 was quickly found, again by AngelG27. Previous logs had identified some options to create the WP4 coords. Our coordinates seemed to look good, so off we went, geohound leading the way (with lots of sidetracks...which is what geohounds tend to do). A search soon revealed WP4, which was my task to collect. Arrived at GZ. What a great spot. Several attempts to reveal the logbook failed to produce the goods and we were starting to feel the effects of the cool breeze. What to do? Aha. A quick lesson on youtube improved our geocaching knowledge and the case was soon cracked.
Very pleased to sign and then find some morning sun. A fun indoor part of the puzzle, followed by a great outdoor part. A very successful morning. Back for pancakes. TFTC Tealby

This was a great adventure. Once again Injuryman supplied the brains, and I supplied the car.
I did the finding at the first waypoint, then Injuryman did some very excellent finding at the second waypoint. He followed up with finding the third waypoint, and once we'd hunted there for a while, I proposed that we'd interpreted WP3 incorrectly. A quick switch and sure enough we were back on track. I found waypoint 4, then Injuryman found the cache, and I got it open! A real team effort for sure.
We also had the treat of finding an echidna, nose deep in an ants nest with a few ants running all over his back.
Thanks very much Tealby for the adventure. And thanks Injuryman for doing the initial heavy lifting!

3rd and final cache for Darkmadviking and I's trip.
After getting a hint for the puzzle, the solution soon became apparent. So off we went. We found WP1 easily, we were a bit lucky to find WP2 as quick as we did. Made a mistake at WP3, causing a bit of a time delay. From here on it was relatively easy. Thanks for the cache and the adventure Tealby!

Yay finally got it, although getting the padlock to open was the hardest test of all, thanks for the help Tealby - another walk up Isaacs Ridge to make the final assault. This has been great fun over the past weeks and certainly helped in our Strava Climbing Challenge. After all the rain this was a crystal clear blue sky day so it deserved a sit at GZ just looking south toward the Brindabellas.
Thanks for the puzzle and adventures on Isaacs Ridge, we feel we know almost every inch of it now.
Left a lucky Chinese Feng Shui coin and Spindoc Bob geocoin.

As promised we returned in force. Well, three humans; two dogs! Gromitboy and Jacqui and two energetic dogs that must have covered 10 times the distance! Sadly Crystal Warrior was otherwise engaged and this would be the last chance while the family were house sitting nearby. So, off we went...
Recap... we found WPs 1&2 last time we visited - see progress log. So, gromitboy lead us off for WP3, a nice steady climb from base camp!
At WP3 we circled for a while until I returned to a spot and spotted the "thingy" (not wanting to give anything away). The three of us carefully noted the numbers and headed off. It all started to look a bit uncertain as we approached a fence. A short way down the hill, we decided to try transposing/swapping the numbers? Well, that revealed a better spot to head for. A short expedition meeting was held and the decision taken and back along the track we headed.
Arriving at WP4 it was not long before gromitboy spotted the "thingy" again. At GZ he again was first to spot the cache container and I just know he did get a thrill. It was then a team effort to go the 'next step' with Jacqui being the star here.
A great spot and nice cache to finish with! While it may not get found very often this is a great cache, certainly a favourite from me (wish I could give it more)!
Then it was back to base camp just over 2 hours later we arrived. The dogs were slowing down by now!
Thanks Tealby, a star cache!

We are doing this the slow way - one waypoint cache at a time - that's at least 4 hikes up that Isaacs Ridge hill so far. At last have found waypoint # 4 - so next trip up the ridge it will be to find and log the cache. Thanks for the exercise Tealby !!
2BluFish - very blue as today was wet, windy and pretty cool

Well I don't know what happened at WP2 last time. I'd handled the container, and made the right motions, but I think that the clue wasn't "engaged" properly. I came back to try again, and this time it made itself known.
Onto WP3, and I could see how it could be ambiguous. Having been forewarned, I chose the option that stayed on this side, and made my way further along the trail. WP4 gave me some trouble, and I was wandering around in circles for quite a while before I looked at the right spot from the right angle and spotted it. I think the original hide may have been lost on this one.
Then it was a short scrabble to GZ, and I made a couple of attempts to interpret the instructions before one of them worked, and I was presented with a logbook. All up, I think it's been a journey of some years since the time I first looked at the puzzle, so it's a nice feeling to finally cross it off the list.
TNLN - Thanks for all the entertainment Tealby!

Progress report! Well, I have had the start coordinates for some time. Today we were out for a dog walk with family. We found WP1 and WP2 and then deferred for another time - the challenge looked a bit too much! So, hopefully will be back to finish soon!
I way over complicated this one and spent heaps of time with spreadsheets etc - a simple pointer from Tealby cleared the way and I got this solved quickly - and got my sanity back as well. Next will be off to track all the WP's down and log the cache.
Thanks Tealby - think I am getting the hang of the Mystery caches so will do some more.

Okay, so the puzzle was tricky, but I eventually tried an old and familiar method which gave me the right coordinates. Onto WP1, where I soon found the concealed coordinates, and full of confidence I set off for WP2. That was about where it all came unstuck, as I searched everything within about 10 m of the waypoint for about 20 minutes, and came up empty handed. It's either my chronic cache blindness flaring up again, or something's happened to the waypoint. I'll wait and see...
We had looked at this a few times before but it was not until about 6 months ago we made some real progress. We thought we had it but 2 numbers looked a bit odd and the checker said no so an appeal for help was answered and the correct start numbers appeared (thanks).
Today after a quick nearby puzzle we headed for WP1 where we made a quick find so full of confidence it was off to WP2 and as we got closer realised this might be a bit of needle in a haystack. We over shot initially and after about 5min the GPSr drifted to a nearby spot and just as we thought about reading some old logs spotted the nice bit of camo. Up we went to WP3 which thankfully was a quick find and we did not have the problems some other finders had for heading to WP4. A quick find of way point 4 was made as it was on the ground so we replaced it above ground and then on to GZ. For another quick find after over coming the final twist. The log was signed just under an hour from starting at WP1. We took the CO's advice and went out a different way. TFTC. A fav pt from us.

(353) Solving the initial puzzle took about a year. I tried so many things with what I pulled from that maze. Nothing worked. In the end I asked for a hint. I mean, a year is a long time to bang a head against a wall.
When I finally got the geo-checker to agree with me, it was time to plan a trip down to the south side. Took some time off work to see if I could knock off the remaining part of this cache.
So WP1 seemed pretty straight forward, and I was thinking "this is easier than I thought". Then I got to WP2 and looked around for yonks. And yonks. Tempted to PAF or give up, but then tried one more location and there was the sneaky thing. WP3 was a very similar experience to WP3 and I was glad I had so much time up my sleeve. At this point I thought "WP4 is pretty far away. I wonder if that's right?" TAF (text a friend) came in handy at this point and I readjusted my coordinates. WP4 was reasonably straightforward compared to the previous 2.
The final twist at the end took a few attempts, but all good after 5 mins or so.
Tks for the mental and physical workout Tealby! +1 FP 2 u

Accompanied with everlasting for the day, we enjoyed walk and we found cache YAY. Signed the log. TFTC. Fav for me.
OMG I will never forget this name! The title is "Tealby's Revenge"
In 2009 I solved The Maze. I am so glad I kept the coordinates as I knew I would come to Canberra again... So this time it was on my must do list to do.
On 8 August I decided a go. I found wp1 - no problem, then nice walk along to wp2 - searched for a while until saw something unusual - aahh it was cache - liked this camo. Another long walk along to wp 3. Again I searched for a while and found it. But then felt tired so but didn't finish it.
So today I asked dragon 1982 to come with me too but realised I made a big careless with wp4 coordinates so PAF who explained to me my error – so down the hill and up again - glad the weather is nice cool today... Finally found wp4 and then another walk to GZ where Dragon 1982 spotted the cache and we signed the log.
What a amazing revenge - I am so glad I didn't have to revenge at WA. Lol.
Thanks to Tealby for an excellently organised revenge.

Finally found wp4 and then another walk to GZ where Dragon 1982 spotted the cache and we signed the log.
What a amazing revenge - I am so glad I didn't have to revenge at WA. Lol.
Thanks to Tealby for an excellently organised revenge.
A caching expedition was arranged with boot65 to tackle the caches around the area. We headed off confident we would be able to tackle the hill and the caches contained within in a couple of hours, but a couple turned into a total of six hours at completion and late afternoon.
We met at the agreed meeting point and headed off on the hunt. It was a nice morning and the weather looked to be setting up for perfect day for caching.
Boot65 had the necessary information for the missing WP so we could continue with finding the other information. We headed off confidently to WP3 and retrieved the information, and up the trail we continued. Arrived at our WP4 and it looked promising, we searched for a long time and came up empty handed. So we decided to PAF to see if we were off on a red herring hunt. Confirming our suspicions we headed off to the new WP4, again coming up empty handed, I won't include how many tries we had at this WP but lets just say we covered many more kms than we should have. Almost giving up and almost convinced this one was missing also, we read through other logs and decided PAF again who provided us with some more information. Eventually we arrived at WP4 and retrieved the next piece of the revenge trek. The rest of the trek continued without incident. But WOW..what an adventure. Thanks for the challenge Tealby was great and really enjoyable.

3327. Found with FurfacesLL on a beaut Autumn day and the company wasn't too bad either.
The puzzle was a doozy but eventually some numbers came together. I had made a start back in June 2013 and managed to get to WP3 and then ran out of time. So despite this one being disabled, we thought we would pick up the trail from here and continue on (after revisiting the earlier WPs).
Continue on we did and on and on and on and on and on. With out given too much away, I know that hill a lot better now as we retraced our steps on many occasions, going up and down and around and around.
How good did it feel to finally see our names scribbled in that log book!!!!!!!!
A huge thanks to Tealby for this one and a favourite from me. I hope you get a giggle at our expense.

WP2 removed for repair - it might take me 2 weeks to fix because I am tied up with the Canberra Walking Festival over the next week.
How awesome is this cache! I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and the fact that there are no hints makes this a true difficulty 5. I'd glanced at the maze a few times over the years and just dismissed it thinking there was no way I'd ever solve this. This time I looked at it again as it fills one of my difficulty terrain matrix's. A few days ago, I printed out the maze and sat down to sift through the possibilities. I was making everything too complicated and looked at it from a child's point of view. Yep, I'm just a big kid. And within the hour I had something that looked feasible. I looked at the code and then in a few minutes had a brainwave. I knew what to do. Slowly the coords revealed themselves. I punched them into evince knowing full well I was correct. Seconds later this was confirmed. Today I was in Canberra to visit the Mapping Exhibition and after wards I made a beeline for Wpt 1.The parking spot looked very familiar, I'd been here before. Off to wpt 1 and on approach I spied something. There lay the information for Wpt 2. Nothing too hard so far, but I knew that these ACT cachers were an evil bunch and this was not a place to become complacent. It was mid afternoon as I tackled the rise, the terrain was not too bad so far. At wpt 2 there were so many possibilities. This wpt caused me the most problems. I even had it in my hand not knowing what it was at the time. Being so far from home, I needed some reassurance, soon a little life line whispered that I was in the right spot and soon after I knew that what I had in my hand was indeed the next clue. It was now mid afternoon and the heat was rising as I traipsed along the steepest section. Wpt 3 was easily found and I took the opportunity to rest and have a big drink. I was now feeling really confident sensing that the end was near. Oh Tealby you are cruel! Off to wpt 4 on a wild goose chase. As I roamed the hills and dales, I started to sense something was amiss. I almost felt like I was walking back to Sydney. When I came across a barbed wire fence with no possible way over, I again called the cache whisperer in desperation. "I'm wrong aren't I?" "Yes" came the whisper. Oh the ambiguity..... Tealby why do you do this to us mere mortals. There was nothing left to do but retrace my long steps to the real wpt 4. This wpt looked so much more promising but I'd had my confidence deflated so I needed some more reassurance from that little voice. The whisper in my ear confirmed what I already new. That it was staring me in the face. The information was quite plain and simple and I knew what I must do next. Off to GZ, I was so happy. I skipped along, took a few short cuts until a very plausible GZ came into view. Ah this is exactly where I would hide such an evil cache. And there it was... Tealby's Revenge! The ultimate injury to insult! Ah but luckily I had seen this kind of evil before and knew exactly what needed to be done to retrieve the logbook. I sat myself down and read the entire book. I completed the caching business and returned this golden cache. I was secretly very pleased to have solved an ACT puzzle cache and found it. I ambled back to my car, and slept very soundly that night. Thanks for a great adventure and a wonderful 2.5 hours roaming the hills.
OMG, I cracked the maze and evince has congratulated me. Can't believe that only took me an hour or so. I'll be in Canberra on Thursday to give this ago.
Recently we logged a note describing our journey towards solving the puzzle. The hunt for this cache was high on our priority list for this trip to Canberra. This morning we set off quite early (in the cool) and got to WP1 where we were able to make a quick find. From there we continued our way through the waypoints. With the exception of the second last, we were able to find the waypoints quite quickly. The troublesome one was only found when we looked from the right spot in the right direction. When we got to GZ we were able to make a quick find. We were able to access the contents of the cache quite easily as Mr y'stassie had a lot of experience assisting new students to manipulate these devices. The cache and it's contents were in good condition. Despite the puzzle being a nightmare for some time, we did enjoy all aspects of the cache. The puzzle certainly was challenging. The walk around the waypoints this morning was very pleasant - cool morning, slight breeze and clear blue skies in a lovely setting made for a great walk. hanks Tealby for a great cache in a great location. Certainly earns a favourite from us.
Mrs y'stassie decided to have another look this morning and included something she had previously omitted, showed the result to mr y'st who then came up with some numbers - not quite right. A little more playing and mrs y'st said do you think it could be? evince said it could. WP1 is a definite destination for our end of November visit to the ACT. Thanks Tealby for a lot of head scratching.
Cracked it Such a tricky code! Hope will be in Canberra soon to complete the journey.
I had this puzzle almost, but not quite solved for some time before O319 received a hint from someone recently that made me go "duh" and I had the co-ords for WP1 seconds later. Yesterday presented the opportunity for O319 and myself (Justjessie senior) to head off and find the cache (Justjessie junior being at a girl guide camp for the weekend). Anyway, we set off at 4:20pm and made our way to WP1 which O319 discovered very quickly. WP2 took us about 5mins to find and then slogged off to WP3. It was very quickly discovered followed by some discussion as to what some of the numbers actually were and the correct way to read them. Off to WP4 we went. A minute or three of looking around revealed the hide. Info gathered and off we went to WP5. Hmmm, how do we open this? (Smartphones come in very handy these days.) Further instructions obtained and we cracked it at 5:25pm. All in all, a very enjoyable walk. TFTC.
A look into the Geocaching folder on my laptop shows that I took a copy of the picture on Saturday the 2nd of January 2010 at 7:54:51 PM. So without a doubt this has been the longest running puzzle cache I/we have worked on...
Justjessie finally worked it out a few months back and today was the day. The rest of the story is as per Justjessies log. WP2 and 3 may need a little owner maintenance soon as the numbers are getting a little hard to read. TFTC five stars indeed....

place a cache today some way away from the starting cordinates for this one. It's quite away away from this. Thinking this is a rather long distance cache.
This was an interesting stroll. I parked in the cache owners driveway - it seemed like a logical place. Okay, not really, but not far away. I got to waypoint 1, and the geocaching intuition seemed to be working as I found it straight away. And thankfully the bike people racing on the ridge didnt seem to be using this area. On my way to WP2, I bumped into a couple walking their toddler and dog (I'm not sure who was more excited by this, although the dog was definitely covering more metres). I thought they were muggles, but when I was trying to pretend to innocently take photos at WP2 they identified themsleves as cachers, although I was remiss in getting their handle. WP2 was very clever, it took me a few minutes to locate. I couldnt read the last digit of the south decimals, but the general shape narrowed the possibilities, which helped.
Off to WP3, no trouble here (or so I thought!) once the biking marshall packed up and cleared off. I headed off for WP4, and as I approached I thought something didnt seem right - the GPS was pointing over the barbed-wire fence. I was just starting to doubt my numbers when I spotted a gate ahead - maybe I was on the right track. Through the gate, down the hill - and another barbed-wire fence. Doubt again, but then I spied the fallen tree that had flattened the fence - maybe I was on the right track. The GPS zeroed out at a likely enough looking spot, but after a good search I had nothing. I consulted past logs, and discovered I'd done exactly as Noikmeister, Shiny Dragon & The Proton had done - reversed the decimals and taken an unnecessary side track. Oh well, I just put that down to being part of the 5-star difficulty.
Back on track, I got to the real WP4 GZ and after searching for a while was just about ready to give up when I finally spotted what I was looking for. Yay! Off to the cache (having photographed the final WP info) which mercifully was found okay. Tried to open it, fail. Hmm, maybe left means the other left - it did, and the cache popped open. As did my mouth, with a squeal, as the large huntsman residing under the flap scurried away!
I grabbed the TB & GC which have been here for a while, and feeling quite chuffed with myself for finding two 5-star caches in 1 day, headed for home.
I'm not sure what you are getting revenge on me for Tealby, but you certainly got it with this cache (thanks for the hint with the puzzle BTW).
Overall, a great walk, fine views and an excellent great caching worthy of its 5-star rating, thanks very much.

In....puff....progress....puff.....went wrong way....puff.....cursing Tealby....puff......revenge?.....what did I do??
Well that was...something. Lots of exercise but can't say I enjoyed that part on this occasion! Met a couple of young cachers (we suspect CanKid and Nemo) and then found GC 12 days of Christmas with a bit of a detour. Found part of the gravel trail very slippery and kept nearly falling over. Took a huge accidental detour on the way (probably a couple of KM) even though we had noted Noiky had pre warned against it so there was a painful trudge uphill again to get back on track (the_proton was very encouraging despite my multiple "I cant doooo it!"). At one point I was so pooped I lay flat on the ground to look at the clouds and catch my breath but that turned out to be an ants nest and I got a collection of nice little bites on my bare arms. When we reached GZ and found the cache with a victorious but tired cheer, turns out we couldn't actually look inside and sign the log which was very sad making because it was really heavy and probably had 1000s of path tags inside (had required info, suspect damage). Back to the car and although the overall distance wasn't as far as it seemed to be, I'm proud for doing it. Can send a photo of container for evidence if required Tealby
Second of two finds today. Loved all of the waypoints, especially the second and third ones. Took a lot of time but eventually got too the end. Great find. Took sudoku book, left TB. Thanks for the cache.
Found with nemo4. Loved the second, third and fourth waypoints. Struggled a bit on the second waypoint but eventually found it. We needed no assistance from anyone. Does that mean we get the no help FTF[?]. Quite tired at the end of it[xx(]but made it all the way. Continued after to make one more find. It seems that we were beaten to the TB. Made a few trades: Big bear Geocoin for TB gecko, a flute and a mirror for a Jiminy Cricket plush toy and a Perisher Blue fidge magnet. Loved the cache although not as challenging as I expected.[^]
After solving this one at the last Puzzles and Coffee (after some hints that threw things off a little...) we decided to try and grab this one finally. Quite a hike and with some extra detours we had the cache in hand after a reasonable walk.
YES, YES, YES, YES! I did this one by myself with no-one helping and with three large blisters on three of my fingers. I ended up locking my IP adress numerous times until I relised my mistake. AWESOME PUZZLE! Will find the cache A.S.A.P!
