We are visiting Lake Entrance and grabbing caches along the way. Its been quite cold and windy, but there are caches to be had.TFTC
The planets aligned, the radar was clear and I had itchy feet. I left home base in the mountains to see the sea and seek a few caches and complete a few missions at Lakes - glad I ventured here - this series was a bonus, the sun and the ozone were a plus too and I was happy trusty treadles AKA the MTB didnt mind the sand. TFTC and the FUN. A FAVE for longevity
There's cash in this cache!! Cool to be here when the bar is open but geadually closing!
We didnt have any problems finding our way here.Appears lots of locals do their morning walks around here and it is a nice spot for a bit if a nature walk.Unfortunately the interpretive signs are now beyond it.
TFTC JENPETEH, The H,s , South Africans living in Tassie GeoCaching our way around Australia and loving it
As we arrived, we had the entire sandbar to ourselves. Not so much as we were leaving, with a few fisher families setting up in the river. I wish that I had my surf rod with me.It brought back memories of my youth, growing up on the West Coast of our great land.
Heymissjo and I were enjoying a much needed family geo-vacation down at Lakes Entrance. This was our first full day in the area and first chance to get out explore. We meanderings lead us in the direction of Lake Bunga. We had no predetermined destination - we were just happy to be out enjoying the perfect blue skies and golden sunshine. We stopped here for our first smiley of the day and appreciated the cool shade of the tee tree. The Dark Minion walked right past the hide but a little prompt had him striking gold for our team, which included Heymissjo, Ge0Bug, Ge0_Ninja, Dallas and ourselves. Heymissjo had an unfortunate pen-splosion but was still able to sign us in.Afterwards, I took the 3 youngest members of the team down to the beach for a play in the sand, running from waves and collecting shells. Exactly, the natural, back to the nature kind of vibe we needed.Just perfect. Thanks for getting our holiday off to a wonderful start.
#1747Its been many many years since I have been to lakes entrance.. although it feels longer than what it probably is..: all I know I have had life chapter changes and Covid years in the middle so it feels like decades. However this time the visit is with my beautiful blended family with The Welder, two of how minis and my two Ge0Bug and Ge0_Ninja. Its been a long time coming, but we have finally made it for our week long holiday. We have hired a house rather than last years camping shenanigans, which is a much smoother plan to action! Caching really is a great way to find those quiet little paths and local sites. Needless to say, he had to collect this cache as we head to the sound of the ocean. Thanks for the cache, names signed, despite the exploding pen! ----------------------------------------------------------Voting is also now open for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. The shortlist is available [here](https://coord.info/BMC8QYR)[Make your vote count - Vote here!](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/events/Victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards/2022-Victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards)
Excited to be on a family holiday and caching with my family, my Mum heymissjo, plus The Welder, Ge0Bug, Dark minion and Dallas. Thanks for the cache
When OHC and I arrived, there was a car sitting just about in the middle of the car park. As we walked past the car, we noticed that the interior was well decorated with dried flowers, herbs and seed pods. Unusual which suited the ???? person sitting within.
We made our way to GZ and had to remove some items that shouldn't have been in the cache in the first place. The log was signed and we took the short stroll back to the geovehicle and were on our way. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

Headed out east this weekend to visit some friends. So obviously a bit of caching to be done before and after.
Arrived to find a strange-looking female sitting in her vehicle with various “herbs” all over the dashboard.
We discussed various plausible scenarios as we made our way to the cache, where we removed unnecessary items from within.
Thanks for bringing me here by placing this cache, Fredd01

Nice trail, sad that signs have been vandalised since last here. Contents opened and log a bit wet.
By far the worst decision I had was not wearing sunscreen yesterday. I felt like I was playing operation as I try not to hit my arms or legs on the trees as we were navigating to the cache OUCH!
Nice walk to this hidden gem. Disappointed to see the signs have been vandalised but you can still easily find your way.

Lovely spot here. Short walk and very quick find.

I don’t know if I went to the right sign because I saw 2 of them and it was so hot there were snakes
Found it! we needed a walk after an afternoon of eating and drinking. Amazingly Muggle Heather found it fairly quickly. Amazing she was standing up! We saw a family of swans near the lake. A family of humans were allowing their large dog harass them. The swans finally made the safety of the lake! TFTC SL
Very cool area and great with the misty ocean this morning (see pic)

We came here on the last day of being at Lakes Entrance during the school holidays so I could show the Geokiddos the open ocean from the beach. They played while I found.
Logbook is a little damp so if the next finders could bring a silica bag to add to it that would be great.
TFC found with HF, great spot would of never looked at this place if it wasn't for Gocach
Quick find just off the track. Great spot for a cache. We’ve been staying nearby on a holiday to Lakes Entrance and enjoyed the walk to the beach and this cache. TFTC
Great walking track never would of found this place if it wasn't geo caching left a cars car
A really nice morning walk with lots of birds chirping. Great coastal bush land. Thanks for bringing us here. Also dropped off a well travelled trackable. Tftc
Thanks for the cache pretty easy but really fun. Tex, Lisa, Lylah, Ella, Marrianne
We made quick work of this find
Leaving the lottery bug behind
The day was wet and miserable
But our hearts were warm and full

Very nice. Sadly one can no longer seek a swale as someone has taken to the sign. I have muggled my way past this cache many times as it use to be on my jogging route. Couldn't locate without the clue, but then had it very quickly. Tftc
Out and about around Lakes Entrance today. We were looking for an old bridge nearby and I noticed this cache, so we ended up walking to this first. Delightful walking track to Gz, almost. There’s lots of fences and steps designed to keep people from damaging the fragile environment. Hint guided us straight to the cache. Bird of the cache an elusive Whipbird. It was all around us but not seen.
Awesome find. It was pretty easy but was still good. TFTC. (:..

Quick find. Cache in good condition. Lovely spot. Wish we had time to spend a lot longer here
Our aim for the day was to pick up some caches while working our way in towards Lakes Entrance, with ilook4geo. We had a mixture of traditionals, multis and puzzle caches on the list as well as a lengthy walk to do. It was a good day and we had a fair pick up.
We followed the track and found the cache quickly as the co-ords were really good.
Thank you to Fredd01 for placing and maintaining this cache.

Went on a fun caching trip today with goingplaces2. Enjoyed finding a variety of cache types with some taking a bit longer than others to locate. This was one of our successes for the day. Log was signed, all replaced, job done! TFTC.
